  • In the fuzzy control for the multi-variable system, it is difficult to obtain the fuzzy rule. Therefore, the parallel structure of the independent single input-single output fuzzy controller using a pairing between the input and output variable is applied to the multi-variable system. The concept of relative gain matrix is used to obtain the input-output pairs. However, among the input/output variables which are not paired the interactive effects should be taken into account. these mutual coupling of variables affect the control performance. Therefore, for the control system with a strong coupling property, the control performance is sometimes lowered. In this paper, the effect of mutual coupling of variables is considered by tile introduction of a simple compensator. This compensator adjusts the degree of coupling between variables using a neural network. In this proposed neuro-fuzzy controller, the Neural network which is realized by back-propagation algorithm, adjusts the mutual coupling weight between variables.

헬륨 동위원소 및 헬륨필터를 사용한 셀레늄증기 다중광선레이저의 출력특성에 관한 연구 (A study on output power characteristic of selenium vapour multiline laser using isotope helium and helium filter)

  • 다중광선레이저인 셀레늄증기레이저에서 일반적으로 사용하는 $^4$He 대신에 동위원소인 $^3$He 펌핑가스로 사용하여 개개의 레이저선들에 대한 광이득과 레이저의 출력특성을 연구하였다. 또한 출력에 영향을 주는 헬륨의 순도는 특수 헬륨필터로써 개선하였다. Output-coupling 출력과 소신호이득은 $^4$He의 경우 보다 $^3$He을 사용한 경우에 대부분의 선들에서 더 높게 나타났다. 특히 강력한 선들(497.6 nm, 499.3 nm, 506.9 nm, 517.6 nm, 522.8 nm, 530.5 nm)에서는 소신호 이득이 약 30% 더 높게, Output-coupling 출력은 2 배에서 3 배까지 더 높은 값을 보여 주었다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 헬륨의 순도가 셀레늄증기 레이저에서의 출력특성과 광이득에 미치는 영향을 측정, 비교해보는 것이다. 헬륨의 순도는 특수 헬륨필터로써 개선하였다. 본 측정에서는 개개의 선들이 복굴절필터에 의해서 선택 되어졌다. 대부분의 선들이 헬륨필터를 사용한 레이저에서 더 높은 output-coupling 출력과 소신호 이득을 보여 주고, 특히 강력한 선들(497.6 nm, 499.3 nm, 506.9 nm, 517.6 nm, 522.8 nm, 530.5 nm)과 청색선(460.4 nm, 464.8 nm)및 적색선(644.4 nm, 649.1 nm)에서 현저히 더 높은 값을 보여 준다.

  • 현재까지 62개의 레이저선이 발견된 셀레늄증기 다중광선레이저에서 일반적으로 사용하는 $^4He$ 대신에 동위원소인 $^3He$을 펌핑가스로 최초로 사용하여 개개의 레이저선들에 대한 광이득과 레이저의 출력특성을 연구하였다. 대부분의 선들이 $^4He$ 방전보다 $^3He$ 방전에서 더 높은 output-coupling 출력과 소신호 이득을 보여 주었고, 특히 갈력한 설들(497.6 nm, 499.3 nm, 506.9 nm, 517.6 nm, 522.8 nm, 530.5 nm)은 2배의 output-coupling출력과 25% 더 높은 소신호 이득을 보여 주었다.

Input/Output bending 영역에서의 parasitic coupling을 고려한 방향성 결합기 광 스위치의 설계 법칙 (Design rules of directional coupler optical switches in consideration of parasitic couplings in the input/output bending sections)

  • Design rules of directional coupler optical switches are discussed in consideration of parasitic couplings in the bending section. The parasitic coupling phenomenon is analyzed based on the coupled-mode theory and the solutions are represented in the form of the transfer matrix. The modified switching conditions due to the parasitic coupling are derived and the resultant switching diagrams are illustrated. It is revealed that the parallel section's length needs to be adjustd less than the coupling length $l_c(=\pi/2\textsc{k}o)$ to obtain the desired crosstalk and that the adjustment depends on the strength of the parasitic coupling. However, it is discovered that, for weak parasitic coupling, the switching voltage does not need to be altered but may maintain the same value as if no parasitic coupling is taken into account.

  • This study proposes an enhanced quadruple-Active-Bridge (QAB) converter that can solve power coupling problems. By adopting a multiple winding transformer, the equivalent circuit of a conventional QAB converter has power couplings between arbitrary output ports. This coupling is an unintended power relationship that complicates the regulation of output voltage of the multiple ports. The proposed converter can carry out power decoupling by changing the arrangement of the coupling inductor. Power transfer equations for the proposed converter and its operating principles are analyzed in detail. The power coupling caused by the transformer's leakage inductance is verified by using a proposed coupling factor that presents the relationship between inductance ratio and coupling power. In addition, the decoupling power control performance of the proposed converter is verified by simulation and a 3 kW prototype converter.

Differences in Design Considerations between InGaN and Conventional High-Brightness Light-Emitting Diodes

  • Based on the escape cone concepts, high-brightness light-emitting diodes (LEDs) have been analyzed. In AlGaAs or InGaAlP LEDs, photon absorption in the ohmic region under the electrode is known to be significant. Thus, ins general, a thick window layer (WL) and a transparent substrate (TS) would minimize photon shielding by the electrodes and considerably improve photon output coupling efficiency. However, the schemes do not seem to be necessary in InGaN system. Photon absorption in ohmic contact to a wide bandgap semiconductor such as GaN may be negligible and, as a result, the significant photon shielding by the electrodes will not degrade the photon output coupling efficiency so much. The photon output coupling efficiency estimated in InGaN LEDs is about 2.5 - 2.8 times that of the conventional high-brightness LED structures based on both WL and TS schemes. As a result, the extenal quantum efficiency in InGaN LEDs is as high as 9% despite the presumably very low internal quantum efficiency.

Improvement of the Beam-Wave Interaction Efficiency Based on the Coupling-Slot Configuration in an Extended Interaction Oscillator

  • A method aimed at improving the beam-wave interaction efficiency by changing the coupling slot configuration has been proposed in the study of extended interaction oscillators (EIOs). The dispersion characteristics, coupling coefficient and interaction impedance of the high-frequency structure based on different types of coupling slots have been investigated. Four types of coupled cavity structures with different layouts of the coupling slots have been compared to improve the beam-wave interaction efficiency, so as to analyze the beam-wave interaction and practical applications. In order to determine the improvement of the coupling slot to a coupled cavity circuit in an EIO, we designed four nine-gap EIOs based on the coupled cavity structure with different coupling slot configurations. With different operating frequencies and voltages takes into consideration, beam voltages from 27 to 33 kV have been simulated to achieve the best beam-wave interaction efficiency so that the EIOs are able to work in the $2{\pi}$ mode. The influence of the Rb and the ds on the output power is also taken into consideration. The Rb is the radius of the electron beam, and the ds is the width of the coupling slot. The simulation results indicate that a single-slot-type EIO has the best beam-wave interaction efficiency. Its maximum output power is 2.8 kW and the efficiency is 18% when the operating voltage is 31 kV and electric current is 0.5 A. The output powers of these four EIOs that were designed for comparison are not less than 1.7 kW. The improved coupling-slot configurations enables the extended interaction oscillator to meet the different engineering requirements better.

The Coupling Analysis of Innovation Input-Innovation Output-Innovation Environment-The Case of China

  • 디지털 시대에 혁신은 정보기술발전의 핵심이다. 본문은 혁신 시스템 내 지역혁신능력의 차이를 새로운 관점에서 분석하고 있다. 본 연구는 커플링조정모델을 이용하여 중국의 31개 성, 시, 자치구의 혁신시스템(혁신투입, 혁신산출, 혁신환경)에 대해 커플링 정도를 비교 분석하고 있다. 분석 결과는 두 가지로 요약할 수 있다. 첫째, 중국의 전반적인 커플링 조정 수준은 낮다. 그리고 양호한 커플링과 높은 수준의 커플링 단계에 있는 지역의 수는 많지 않다. 둘째, 커플링의 전반적인 추세는 상승하고 있으나, 상대적으로 양호한 커플링 단계에 있는 지역은 대부분이 지역경제발전 수준이 높은 동부 연해안 지역에 분포되어 있다. 본문의 연구 결과는 혁신 능력 평가에 대한 새로운 관점을 제공할 수 있으며, ICT 산업의 발전을 촉진하는 데 혁신이 중요한 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 강조하고 있다.

  • In this paper The tuning of PID controller for multi input-output is studied by using fuzzy inference. State of coupling is estimated by fuzzy inference, its results is used for tuning of PID controller to get optimum P,I,D parameter with regard to state of coupling. This method is simulated to Turbo-generating system with $2{\times}2$ multi input-output and made with electronic circuit, its response is very satisfactory.
