To develop the MFX (Micro-Focus X-ray) tube, the trajectories of electrons emitted from the field emission cathode was simulated using SIMION program. Regardless of starting position of the electron in emitter, we found out the fact that there is the optimum extractor voltage Ve, which can focus the electron beam on one place. Extractor voltage Ve varies depending on the source voltage Vs, but the ratio of two voltages (Ve/Vs) is always constant, its value was 99.4%. When the ratio of two voltages (Ve/Vs) was 99.4%, the beam diameter in the cross-over point was $1.2{\mu}m$. Because the focal spot size in MFXG (Micro-Focus X-ray Generator) can not be less than the cross-over diameter within MFX tube, it is important to find out the conditions that can make a smaller beam diameter. Therefore, the above results is considered to be a very important ones in the development of the MFXG.

This study aims to investigate the relationship between the mean diameter of bed material and the tractive force due to flow in domestic natural rivers. To investigate the size of bed material, sampling in the field and estimation of mean diameter have been conducted. The relationship between the mean diameters and tractive force is figured out by calculating tractive force and frictional velocity. The field works have been carried out at 94 location of 18 rivers including 4 large watersheds. In order to determine the quantities of discharge used to calculate the tractive force, the various values of frequency have been estimated and tested. As a result, it is found that the 1.01 year frequency discharge is most appropriate for the bankfull discharge. From results, the relatioship between the mean diameter of bed material the tractive force is presented in this study.

In this study, reliability tests of torsion control expansion anchors according to drill bit diameters were performed. The standard deviation and coefficient of variation of the anchor were reviewed through the tests for each variable, and the results were compared and evaluated with the standard test results. As a result of the reliability test of the M12 and M16 anchors with 1.04 times the drill bit diameter, they were within 20% of the ultimate tensile load permissible standard coefficient of variation. It was found that the pulling-out performance of the anchor installed in the large hole was sufficiently secured. However, it was found to be about 253% and 210% of the design strength, indicating that the pulling performance of the anchor installed in 1.04 times the drill bit diameter was sufficiently secured. As a result of the reliability test of the M12 and M16 anchors with 1.02 times the drill bit diameter, the value of the coefficient of variation of the ultimate tensile load limit was within 20%, which satisfies the test standard. It was shown to be about 136% and 168% of the design strength, indicating that the pulling-out performance of the anchor installed in 1.02 times the drill bit diameter is sufficiently secured.
4 royal palaces are currently remained from capital city (Seoul) of 'Cho-Sun(朝鮮)' period. In these palaces, 'Main hall of Royal Palace(正殿)' is the center of the Royal Palaces. The 'Main hall of Royal Palace' of the Royal Palace was the best building of that time. Therefore there were many studies about the 'Main hall of Royal Palace'. But these studies were individual studies of these 'Main hall of Royal Palace'. Therefore, this study is to analyze and compare 4 'Main hall of Royal Palace' of the Royal palaces. It is to study the proportion regarding the Diameter of the pillar, the Height, the pillar and pillar Interval's Distance, and the arrangement of 'Kong-Po(bracket sets)'. With these studies, it is to prove that the 'Main hall of Royal Palace' is the building which high construction technique of this time is expressed. Result of this study is as followings; First, the proportion of pillar height(H) to its diameter(D) average from H=8.0 to 8.5D. Only the Myeong-Jeong-Jeon omitted the 'Go-Ju(高柱)' in the 'Toi-Kan (退間)' to place Ea-Jwa(御座). Second, Second, the proportion of diameter of the pillar of 'Eoi-Bu-Pyeong-Ju(外部平柱)' and 'Nae-Jin-Go-Ju(內陣高柱)' average D1(Diameter of 'Eoi-Bu-Pyeong-Ju') =0.91D2 (Diameter of 'Nae-Jin-Go-Ju'). In regards to the height, the single floor 'Main hall of Royal Palace' and double floor 'Main hall of Royal Palace' seems to be different. The height proportion of the double floor 'Main hall of royal palace' is H1(Height of 'Eoi-Bu-Pyeong-Ju')=0.34H2(Height of 'Nae-Jin-Go-Ju') and single floor 'Main hall of Royal Palace' has a proportion of H1=0.62H2. Third, in Geun-Jeong-Jeon, with the proportion of height and diameter of the pillar, interval's distance between pillars and diameter, the pillar interval distance and height, of 'Ea-kan(御間)' from the 'Toi-Kan' is different from 'Main hall of Royal Palace'. This is because the structure of 'Toi-Kan' of Geun-Jeong-Jeon is not stable. In order to reinforce this, 'Gui-Go-Ju(隅高柱)' of the Geun-Jeong-Jeon jut out $4{\sim}7%$ more compared to In-Jeong-Jeon. Fourth, when comparing double floor 'Main hall of royal palace' of Geun-Jeong-Jeon and In-Jeong-Jeon, based on distance of 'Eoi-Bu-Pyeong-Ju' and 'Nae-Jin-Go-Ju' of lower level, the 'Sang-Bu-Pyeong-Ju(上部平柱)' of Geun-Jeong-Jeon jut out $4{\sim}7%$ more compared to the In-Jeong-Jeon and also It becomes thicker. Fifth, the arrangement of 'Kong-Po' on the front row of 'Gan(間)' had to do with the change of side 'Gan'. Even though the Geun-Jeong-Jeon and the In-Jeong-Jeon were double floors, the arrangement of the 'Kong-Po' is different because the number of side bay is different.

An experimental investigation on the reinforcing bar corrosion and relationshid of reinforcing bar and concrete bond strength has been conducted to establish the allowable limit of rust in the construction field. The reinforcing bars used in this study were rusted before embedding in concrete. The first component of this experiment is to make rust of reinforcing bar rust artificially based on Faraday's theory at certain rates such as 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10% of reinforcing bar weight. For estimation of the amount of rust by weight, Clarke's solution and Shot blasting were adopted and compared. Parameters include 240 and 450kg/㎠ of compressive strengths and diameter of reinforcing bar (16, 19 and 25mm) corresponding development length for pull-ort test. And, pull-out tests were carried. out according to KSF 2441 and ASTMC 234 to investigate the effect of the corrosion rate on reinforcing bar-concrete bond behavior. It is found from the test results that the test techniques for corrosion of bar used in this study is relatively effective and correct test method. Results shows that up to 2% of rust increases the bond strength regardless of concrete strength and diameter of reinforcing bar like the existing data. It might be because of the roughness from rust. As expected, the bond strength increases as compressive strength of concrete increases and the diameter of bar decreases.

The Sonication method is widely used with surfactants to suspend individual single walled nanotubes in solution, and it is well known that sonication-induced tube cutting occurs. Recently, it is found out that ultrasonicated nanotubes yield simultaneous separation by tube length and diameter. Nanotubes that have been cut shortest possess the greatest enrichments of large-diameter species. In this study, we cut single walled carbon nanotubes using a ball milling method and find out similar behavior compared to the sonication process Cutting mechanisms are also investigated using continuum approaches.
Construction equipment such as tower crane should be installed in a field without appropriate anchorage to cause a collapse of crane. The anchorage capacity can be varied with Anchor length, concrete strength, anchor diameter, hooked or non hooked these variables will be made and tested in the study. It is shown what anchorage capacity will be more effective case by case. Hooked and non-hooked rebar anchor concrete weight with dia 22mm rebar are shown with initial displacement at 170~220KN of hooked case and 200~210KN of non-hooked one which are linearly increased, without any ductility behavior with almost brittleness. Three(3) same test pieces are almost similarly behaviored without relation to hooked or non-hooked cases. It is found out that the bigger diameter of rebar becomes, the more resistant capacity could be made, but conversely ductility against sudden collapse similar to brittleness becomes the more insufficient. It is also found out that dia 16mm rebar could be more effectively applied to heavy support weight at construction sites.
This study was carried out to figure out the number of logs for sawtimber by DBH and height class and to compare merchantable volume ratio by categorizing into sawtimber, lagging board and pulpwood, and others for Pinus densiflora, Pinus koraiensis, and Larix kaempferi. Logs for sawtimber were hardly produced in small DBH class of three species, but produced evidently from medium DBH class. In large DBH class, the number of logs for sawtimber were noticeably different among species: 4.3 logs for L. kaempferi, 2.6 logs for P. densiflora, and 1.0 logs for P. koraiensis on average. Similarly, merchantable volume ratio for sawtimber were largely different among species in large DBH class with higher than 15 m: 82% logs for L. kaempferi, 60% logs for P. densiflora, and 44% logs for P. koraiensis. When compared to the upper diameter and upper height by species with regard to the last log of a tree produced for sawtimber, upper diameter was smallest with 14.1 cm and upper height was highest with 12.2 m in L. kaempferi. Overall, L. kaempferi was considered as the more commercial species for sawtimber production than P. densiflora and P. koraiensis.

Performance of DI diesel engine with high fuel injection method is directly related to the emission characteristics and fuel consumption. At present, diesel injection system with piezo element is replacing conventional solenoid type due to their faster electro-mechanical properties. In this study, it was investigated the sensitivity characteristics regarding internal hydraulic modeling based on the AMESim environment of piezo-driven injector The analytic parameter for this study defined such as In/Out orifice, injection hole's diameter and driven voltage on piezo stack. As the results, it was shown that these parameter influence on a fast response characteristics of piezo-driven injector. Also we found fuel pressure recovery time is faster about 0.1 ms due to larger IN orifice diameter. And larger OUT orifice diameter occurs maximum pressure drop with faster its timing of about 0.2 ms.

This paper describes a research work on the die design for the deep drawing & ironing(D.D.I.) of high pressure gas cylinder. D.D.I die set is large-sized die used in horizontal press, which is usually composed of drawing, and ironing die. Design method of D.D.I. die set is very different from those of conventional cold forging die set.. Out diameter of the die set is fixed because of press specification and out diameter of the insert should be as small as possible for saving cost of material. In this study, D.D.I die set has been designed to consider those characteristics and the feasibility of the designed die has been verified by FE-analysis. In addition, the automated system of die design has been developed in AutoCAD R14 by formulating the applied methods to the regular rules.
