Despite much discussions on cyber-terrorism in South Korea, several missing issues could be addressed. This paper attempts to deal with such missing but important issues. In South Korea, there has been little attentions on cyber-terrorism with the respects of national security strategy development under macro framework responding to future security environment. This article focuses on such issues. In other words, the purpose of this paper evaluates the meaning of national security threats raised from cyber-terrorism as a mode of security threats and proposes the matter of cyber-terrorism within the development of national security strategy in the future security environment. several issues in this discussion pass some important messages for the construction of national security strategic approach framework within the future security environment adding cyber-space. in the future environment, a new space called cyber is added as an important external condition which might determine the security of individuals, societies, and nations. Therefore, the fundamental strategic framework should be prepared. After that, the trend and direction of future technological advancement should be understood and the identity, nature, and types of threat should be analyzed. Also, after that, various responses and countermeasures are together constituted in the aspect of function and system regarding various anticipated threats of the future human society including cyber-terrorism.

In order to address housing issues, alleviate the concentration of urban populations, and resolve other issues regarding residential spaces, large residential complexes have been developed in Korea since the 1970s. The changes to the residential culture due to such development projects propagated rapidly, making the apartment complexes the most representative form of housing in Korea. In developing such large-scale complexes, plans for public open spaces, which play an important role in formulating the quality of residential environment, have been mostly the same, only utilizing the spaces remaining after planning other types of spaces. The current study looks at the case of Tama New Town development project, a Japanese new town development project that has a similar public open space system in large scale residential complex development projects in Korea. In doing so, the current study aims to identify the features of public open space plans. In the conclusion, the study first finds that various public open spaces must be reviewed and introduced in term of predicting social demands. Second, the study suggests the policy-makers should actively introduce pedestrian paths as a public open space. Third, the study deduces the planning implications of applying the principle of original landscape preservation.

E-commerce has various advantages such as saving the cost and no constraint on time and space, unlike real-world commerce. On the other hand, e-commerce has some important issues to solve since the commerce is conducted on the cyberspace. The issues are a mutual confidence of parties participating in the commerce as well as a method of payments. On early days, electronic cash was designed using blind digital signature to protect the personal information from being exposed and to provide the perfect anonymity for user. In this paper, a new blind signature scheme based on Feige-Fiat-Shamir digital signature is proposed, which is very efficient compared with the other schemes in terms of the computational complexity. Also, a traceable Electronic Cash System which is based on the proposed blind digital signature is designed, which has a nice feature of identifying the spender in case of using the money illegally.

This paper demonstrates the in-house development of the subsystem C&DH in a D-SAT satellite project of Astronautic Technology (M) Sdn. Bhd. (ATSB). D-SAT is a non-imaging satellite. It will carry a dosimeter as the payload for scientific objectives. Since one of the D-SAT project establishment intended objectives is to demonstrate the research and development skill of the ATSB engineers on the satellite system building, most of the subsystems of the D-SAT are developed in-house including the C&DH subsystem. C&DH subsystem plays an important role for managing data handling tasks and general operation of the satellite system. The C&DH development includes the research and study on the hardware and software design, the design of both the hardware and software, the development of the software system, the integration between the software and the hardware system and the implementation of the subsystem into the satellite system. This program allows ATSB to accomplish the engineers with expertise not only in the C&DH subsystem but other subsystems too besides developing knowledge in the management of a space project that covers not only on the technical issues but issues relating to the economic, political and legal issues.

The study attempts to assess the level of environmental sustainability awareness in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In the process, the study tries to assess the impact of extracurricular activities in increasing awareness of environmental sustainability. A survey questionnaire was administered to the students of Prince Sattam University and other universities of Saudi Arabia. The questionnaire comprises statements on simple environmental conservation activities, which we come across on a daily basis. Hypothesis testing is used to identify significant differences across different categories of respondents. Further, the method of binary logistic regression is used to analyze the data. Though all the respondents agree that conserving the environment is important still there are significant differences across categories when it comes to believing in and practicing environmentally-responsible behavior. The results show that environmental awareness can be increased using awareness activities on sustainability issues in a University setting. The study concludes that increasing the number of extracurricular activities on environmental topics as only 38% of the respondents reported any activity related to the environment in the past year. The findings of this study suggest that increased awareness of environmental issues can boost the sustainability awareness, which will ultimately lead to a sustainable environment.

From January 2012 up until March 2013, many articles with huge clinical importance in asthma were published based on large numbered clinical trials or meta-analysis. The main subjects of these studies were the new therapeutic plan based on the asthma phenotype or efficacy along with the safety issues regarding the current treatment guidelines. For efficacy and safety issues, inhaled corticosteroid tapering strategy or continued long-acting beta agonists use was the major concern. As new therapeutic trials, monoclonal antibodies or macrolide antibiotics based on inflammatory phenotypes have been under investigation, with promising preliminary results. There were other issues on the disease susceptibility or genetic background of asthma, particularly for the "severe asthma" phenotype. In the era of genome and pharmacogenetics, there have been extensive studies to identify susceptible candidate genes based on the results of genome wide association studies (GWAS). However, for severe asthma, which is where most of the mortality or medical costs develop, it is very unclear. Moreover, there have been some efforts to find important genetic information in order to predict the possible disease progression, but with few significant results up until now. In conclusion, there are new on-going aspects in the phenotypic classification of asthma and therapeutic strategy according to the phenotypic variations. With more pharmacogenomic information and clear identification of the "severe asthma" group even before disease progression from GWAS data, more adequate and individualized therapeutic strategy could be realized in the future.

This paper presents safety assessment scenarios for cyclist autonomous emergency braking(AEB) system. To assess the safety performance of AEB in real traffic situation with limited number of scenarios, scenario should reflect the characteristics of real traffic collision cases. For this, statistic data of real traffic car-to-cyclist collision in Korea are analyzed. Many types of accidents are listed and categorized based on the movement of vehicle and cycle just before the collision. Then, the characteristics, main issues and limitations of each scenarios are discussed. Not only the test scenario itself but also the cost and time for the test are very important issues for the test scenarios to actually repeat the test for various systems. Also, the performance of AEB can be effected by the algorithm of AEB and the technical limitation of the sensors and hardwares. Therefore, required number of tests, possibility of dummy destruction and other technical issues are discussed for each scenarios. Based on these information, typical scenarios are selected. Also, using this information, vehicle speed range, cyclist speed and collision point are established. Proposed scenarios are verified and modified based on the vehicle test results. vehicle test was evaluated 5 times for each scenarios. Based on this results, final test scenarios are modified and proposed.

Metaverse which was not mentioned until recently due to the failure of 'Second Life' in the past is drawing attention again with the emergence and popularity of metaverse platforms such as 'Roblox' and 'Zeppetto'. On the other hand, there are concerns that past failures will still be repeated. In order to create and sustain the ecosystem surrounding the metaverse, it is important to diagnose and analyze the development process of the metaverse industry and market to define a clear concept that expresses the current metaverse boom. In this paper, the metaverse of the future is defined as "Metaverse 2.0: A virtual world that evolves into a 'Hyper world' through the convergence of hyper-connectivity, hyper-intelligence, and hyper-reality." And six issues that need to be resolved for the activation of the metaverse were analyzed. Based on the contents of this study, it is expected that the metaverse ecosystem will be formed and spread by establishing the roles of the public sector and the private sector.

Korean religionist have actively participated in the movements of national security and peace, human rights and dignity, freedom and equal rights, and other social issues. Recently, either progressive or conservative religionists have strongly shown their different approaches in solving social issues, i.e., national security and peace in connection of 'national security law.' A few religious leaders' public views have been misused by some politicians. It is important for both the religionists and journalists in religious newspapers how to bring a harmonious resolution among the people who are either in conservatism or in progressivism. Social participation of religionists is both to respond to the timely situation of civil society and to realize freedom, equality, and peace to the society. Although the principle of the separation of religion and state was established to secure both the right of politics and the freedom of beliefs, political groups have either utilized or suppressed religions. Some politicians have also wrongly applied separation of religion and state by excluding religious aspects in public schools. Religionists and journalists of the religious newspapers should not provide one-sided prejudice but to provide objective information and its righteous analysis to guide people in the right direction to solve social problems. Also, religious newspapers should open a field of discussion how to resolve some issues between the 'national security law' and freedom.

To minimize the occurrence of aviation accidents in the post-COVID, continuous flight training is crucial. However, the current infrastructure of domestic airports and airfields is insufficient to prepare for and respond to accidents, and there is a need for sufficient facility capacity. Therefore, this study examines the construction of a regional airport to minimize aviation accidents and selects factors necessary for determining the site location. Among the 11 selected factors, six were considered the most important site selection factors, including noise issues, weather conditions, obstacle limitations, environmental issues, airspace conditions, and facility usability. Applying these factors, an analysis was conducted on the Songpo area of Sacheon City, Gyeongsangnam-do. Based on a comprehensive review, it can be concluded that the Songpo area is a suitable choice for a regional airport due to its excellent transportation environment, consideration of noise and environmental issues with the residential population, and other factors. Furthermore, the development of the aviation industry is expected to bring about an increase in tourism and economic benefits, and it is anticipated to make a significant contribution to the domestic aviation industry along with the construction of the currently under-construction Ulleung Airport.
