  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of perceived readiness for interprofessional learning and its differences between nursing and other health-related students. Methods: A web-based survey was conducted from April 25 to June 30, 2017 in one university in Korea. A total of 325 undergraduate nursing students and other health-related disciplines completed the structured questionnaire consisting of Readiness for Interprofessional Learning Scale and general characteristics. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and multiple linear regression. Results: The scores of readiness for interprofessional learning in nursing students were significantly higher than those in other health-related students (t=3.50, p=.001). Nursing students had higher collaboration, professional identity, and roles and responsibilities than other health-related students. The class experiences with other major students was a significant factor related to the readiness for interprofessional learning both in nursing (p=.001) and other health-related students (p=.001). Conclusion: The findings suggest that nursing educators consider the different level of readiness for interprofessional learning between nursing and other health-related students while integrating interprofessional education into nursing education curricula.

  • Background: Globally, the number of patients with aspergillosis is increasing, and the mortality rate remains high. This study aimed to investigate prescribing patterns of antifungal drugs for patients with aspergillosis in South Korea using real-world data. Methods: This retrospective cross-sectional study was performed using National Patient Sample (NPS) data collected by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (HIRA) during 2011-2020. The use of antifungal drugs in patients with aspergillosis was investigated. Results:A total of 1374 patients were identified: 333 patients with invasive pulmonary aspergillosis (IPA) (24.2%), 436 patients with other PA (31.7%), 73 patients with other forms of aspergillosis (5.3%), and 532 patients with unspecified aspergillosis (38.7%). The odds of receiving an antifungal prescription were higher for IPA than for other PA (aOR, 0.233; p<0.001), and higher for hematologic malignancies than for respiratory disorders other than cancer or infections (aOR, 10.018; p<0.001). During each hospitalization period, 56.1% (97/173) and 6.4% (11/173) of IPA hospitalizations received voriconazole and itraconazole monotherapy, respectively, whereas 44.3% (27/61) and 27.9% (17/61) of other PA hospitalizations received itraconazole and voriconazole monotherapy, respectively. Among outpatients with IPA, 67.5% (85/126) and 26.2% (33/126) received voriconazole and itraconazole alone, respectively, whereas among outpatients with other PA, 86.1% (68/79) and 12.7% (10/79) received itraconazole and voriconazole alone, respectively, during the year. Conclusion: In Korea, voriconazole monotherapy was preferred in IPA inpatients, and itraconazole monotherapy was preferred in other PA inpatients. In the ambulatory care settings for IPA and other PA, itraconazole monotherapy was preferred.

  • This study takes its point of departure from Lacanian psychoanalysis and explores the point that an irremediable gap in the human subject can be illuminated in terms of the Lacanian categories, fantasy, symptom, gaze or voice as cause of desire of the Other. With respect to the category of the symptom, Lacan claims that the Other is always already there in the constitution of the subject, that is, the relation of the subject to the Other that is overwhelming as well as attracting the subject. Chapter II deals with the unthought, excessive ground of the conscious that borders on the subject, as is the case of self-excentric aspect of the man. Indeed, in Lacan's early work, the subject is essentially a relationship to the Other as desire(objet petit a), and there is no such thing as a symptom or fantasy without some subjective involvement. Lacanian unknown real, perpetual excess as the cause of desire animates the subject even as it threatens to blast it apart. The structures that establish the lines of desire in every individual are derived from an ineluctably intersubjective field. The Other is always already there in the constitution of the subject. In the final years of Lacan's teaching we find a kind of universalization of the symptom and almost everything that is becomes in a way symptom. Symptom, embodied in Laura in "Goblin Market," is her only substance, the only positive support of her being. By looking at the Laura's symptom in chapter III we gain an insight into the forbidden domain, into a real space that should be left unseen and unthought. The voice of goblin men therefore functions as a sublime object that is animating as well as dominating element even as it threatens to disintegrate the subject. Objet petit a as a sublime object that must be excluded in reality returns in the real, taking on a certain materiality which has an effect on Laura, that is, animates Laura's desire. Objet petit a is a real object, signifying nothing. In conclusion, the theoretical importance of Lacanian psychoanalysis is the relation between a subject and an Other as Objet petit a.

  • While environmental ethics, a relatively new field of philosophy, has gained its practical power in the contemporary world, the ethics of ecological poetry has not been studied well and the relationship between poetry and ethics has also been troubled for a long time. How can it be probed, interrogated, and constructed in ecological criticism? Attempting to steer some critical focus to the topic of ethics and poetic language, this essay is to elucidate these questions within the ecological traits of Mary Oliver's poems. In the process of revisiting Oliver's poems, this essay tries to rescue the poet Oliver, one of the most gifted poets in contemporary American poetic landscape, but a long-neglected one, and questions of ethics which have been evaded for a long time in ecological criticism. Oliver's ecological imagination at once invites readers to become other in the outer world in a most spontaneous way and re-questions the fundamental distance between the self and the other in the process of becoming other. Challenging the humanistic view of nature, she opens the various layers of becoming other: from the possible state of perfect merging to the sad recognition of the impossibility of merging, from the happy moment of rebirth beyond death, to the conflicting moment of being-together. In the different cycles and levels of becoming other, Oliver's poetry completes the poetics of relation in the components of 'self-in-relation.' In those different layers of relations, the ethics of ecological poetry is newly explored rather than residing in the safe net of goodness or sympathy between the self and the other, or the stark division between the two. Oliver's witty, sensitive, sometimes sad eyes toward others, therefore, entice readers to move from the established view of nature to the extraordinary moment of encountering it, thus accomplishing the ethics of beings, not just of ecological poetry.

  • Allele frequencies in twenty-two populations from nine Korean muricid species of five genera (Rapaninae and Ocenebrinae) wire analyzed genetically using 13 loci from 11 allozyme systems. The clustering patterns of these species were basically consistent with traditional groupings to two subfamilial categories based on shell and radula morphologies. Within six ocenebrine species it was apparent that Ceratostoma inornata and Pteropurpura adunca were most closely related to each other than to any other species belonging to the genus Ceratostoma. These results, along with other anatomical features 〔morphologies of albumin gland (female), egg capsule〕, suggest that the generic position of C. inornata, previously classified to be congeneric with other western Pacific Ceratostoma species, should be reconsidered. Our results show the close relationship of Nucella freycineti with other ocenebrine species, rather than with rapanines, which supports a previous suggestion that the genus Nucella should be placed with the subfamily Ocenebrinae rather than the subfamily Rapaninae.

  • When tetracycline resistancy were cured by ethidium bromide treatment, some of the cured strains lost the tetracycline resistance plasmid while other strains kept the plasmids. Both strains of lost and remained plasmids were digested with restriction endonuclease Hind III and these cleaved plasmids were compared with that of parent strains, two plasmid remained strains showed same cleavage patterns between parent and cured strains, however, one plasmid lost strain showed dissimilarity with parent strain, but in the other one strain, among 4 plasmid lost colonies, 2 showed same but other 2 showed different patterns compared to parent strain. Tetracycline was transfered by conjugation in on set(Staphylococcus aureus donor versus Staphylococcus epidermidis, recipient) with relative high frequency but the other 2 sets showed a low degree of frequency and the other 2 sets exhibited no transfer.

  • The influence of temperature and pressure on the free energy of the ion hydration has been considered. The ion radii measured by conductometric method and the saturated dielectric constant cited from other works were used to calculate the free energy in the hydration shell. The Born equation was modified in order to fit in our model. In our model, the environment of ion consists of three regions. The innermost one is the hydration shell in which water is immobilized and electrostricted, the middle one is the one which contains less ordered waters than the bulk medium, and the outermost one is the bulk water which is under the influence of the electric field of ion. Our results for the free energy of ion hydration were compared with those of other attempts. Especially, ${\Delta}$G$_{hyd}$ of $Li^+$ ion is considerably too negative in this study at given temperature, comparing with those of other attempts. But ${\Delta}$G$_{hyd}$ of other ions coincides with each other.

  • Construction projects are fraught with risks from cost or other overruns to accidents along with other issues. This is true whether the relevant organization is an owner, general contractor, CM, specialty-trade contractor, or other entity. When cost issues or other issues confront arise, how should an organization proceed whether attempting to gain additional compensation in terms of cost/other damages or protecting the same against such claims if they do not appear to be warranted? Enter construction cost forensics. This presentation will focus on strategies/techniques with construction cost forensics in these areas in order to be successful. Covered techniques include those to develop and analyze claims including fundamental construction cost analysis techniques. When an unexpected event disrupts a construction project, using sound analytical methods to identify the cause and quantify the extent of the issue will be important for negotiating a fair result or for obtaining a successful outcome in arbitration or litigation. Key examples of uncovering issues via construction cost forensics will be covered in this presentation.

  • The construction industry is an industry in which skilled construction workers should be secured and trained because of the quality and productivity of buildings, but the negative image makes it difficult to supply and demand skilled construction workers. In response, this study derived the factors influencing the intention of transferring construction workers to other occupations and investigated ways to improve the prevention of leaving other occupations by age of construction workers. The factors influencing the turnover of construction workers have also been derived, and work overload, salary, workplace stability, and employment competitiveness have a significant impact on the intention of new employees to change jobs. According to a survey on ways to improve the prevention of leaving other jobs, those in their 20s and 30s are "improving working conditions, such as providing holidays, paying overtime, compliance with working hours," and those in their 50s and 60s.
