  • The diagnosis of isolated tuberculosis of the brachioradialis muscle without osseous involvement was made by excision of the lesion and histologic examination in a 72-year-old woman who was in a poor general state. The patient was free of other systemic symptoms or other foci of infection. The wound healed without complication with the aid of antituberculous chemotherapy. Two years later, the patient remains symptom-free with no signs of recurrence.

  • The Outerbridge-Kashiwagi (O-K) procedure is one of popular procedures for the treatment of osteoarthritis of the elbow. Although reliable outcome has been reported in the literature, intraoperative and postoperative complications may occur. Acute postoperative neurologic complications are rarely reported in the literature. We report a case of acute complete ulnar neuropathy following O-K procedure in the elbow with longstanding flexion loss. Prophylactic ulnar nerve decompression during the O-K procedure should be considered in the elbows with osteoarthritis and prolonged severe flexion contracture.

  • 1. Partial cuff tears are common and incapacitate active people in the 5th to 6th decades. 2. The pathogenesis appears multifactorial. 3. The pain is proportional to the degree of concomitant subacromial bursitis, not to the size of the cuff tear. 4. The diagnosis is made by several imagings, arthroscopy and/or trial tenotomy. 5. The spontaneous healing is unlikely and progression to complete tears is frequent. 6. The intratendinous extension poses therapeutic problem but satisfactory results are obtained by open surgery in approximately $90\% of cases.

  • Treatment of olecranon fractures by prolonged immobilization often results in limited elbow motion. With the use of tension band wiring, anatomical reduction was obtainable, and only a short period of immobilization was needed. We reviewed the cases of 17 patients who underwent surgical treatment of the olecranon fracture. All patients were treated by tension band wiring. In the over-all series, we were able to obtain 53 per cent excellent, 30 per cent good, and 17 per cent fair results.

  • Osteogenic sarcoma is the most common primary malignant tumor of bone in which tumor cells form neoplastic osteoid or bone or both. Classic osteogenic sarcoma usually involves the metaphysis of the more rapidly growing long bones (distal femur, proximal tibia). Osteogenic sarcoma of the foot is rarely noted and only a few well documented cases have been reported. Osteogenic sarcoma of foot can clinically, radiographically, and histologically mimic several benign lesions and tumor-like lesions, so it sometimes leads to late diagnosis and delayed treatment. We experienced a case of primary osteogenic sarcoma on left calcaneus in 66-years-old female and report it with a review of references.

  • $10\sim15%$ of tuberculosis infections is extrapumonary. 10% of the extrapulmonary tuberculosis involves the musculoskeletal system. The spine is most frequently affected about 50%. Foot is infrequently sites, with the incidence in the literature varying from $3\sim7%$. Especially isolated calcaneal tuberculosis is very rare. The authors report one case of a 71-year-old female with calcaneal tuberculosis.

  • There are two types of flat foot, the one is congenital type and the other is acquired type. The treatments of flat foot are various and conservative treatment is general, except such as congenital talus. But, operative method is needed for treatment of failure of conservative method, severe deformity in X-ray, with tenderness in a juvenile period. We reported using Kalix implant for flat foot with pain and severe deformity.

  • Myositis ossificans progressiva, otherwise called fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva is a rare hereditary disease of unknown etiology, which is characterized by progressive ectopic ossification in connective tissues of the muscles, tendons, fascia and aponeurosis. We report a case of myositis ossificans progressiva confined to hands and feet, which has an unusual clinical feature with slow progression.

  • We experienced a case of soft tissue osteochondroma in the foot. The 43-years-old male was complained palpable mass and mild pain at the heel for 3 years. The plain radiograpy revealed a bony mass without connection of neighbor bone in the heel. The osteochondroma in the soft tissue is rare benign tumor. The mass was removed en bloc. The gross and histologic findings were consistent with osteochondroma. The differential diagnosis includes myositis ossificans, tumoral calcinosis, synovial chondromatosis, soft tissue osteochondroma, and true osteochondroma which arises from bone. The symptom was improved. After postoperative 1 year, recurrence was not.

  • Here, a case of a 59-year-old man with rotator cuff tear and impingement syndrome caused by an ossified coracoacromial ligament is presented. Ossification of the coracoacromial ligaments can occur because of degenerative changes due to trauma or repeated stress, which can lead to impingement syndrome. Therefore, when coracoacromial ligament ossification is present, rotator cuff damage due to impingement syndrome should be considered. Here, we conducted arthroscopic subacromial decompression, removal of the ossified coracoacromial ligament, and supraspinatus and subscapularis tendon repairs. We achieved satisfactory surgical outcomes without relapse; therefore, we report this case with a literature review.
