  • In this paper, analysis of magnetic marker for autonomous vehicle guidance system using 3-axis magnetic sensor propose. Position sensing is an important an estimation system of vehicle position and orientation on magnetic lane, which is a parameter of the steering controller for automated lane following is described. To verify that the magnetic dipole model could be applied to a magnetic unit paved in roadway, the analysis of the data 3-axis magnetic field measured experimentally.

  • In this paper, a 2-dimensional accurate edge-based matching algorithm using subpixel edges is proposed that combines the Generalized Hough Transform(GHT) and the Chamfer matching to complement the weakness of either method. First, the GHT is used to find the approximate object positions and orientations, and then these positions and orientations are used as starting parameter values to find more accurate position and orientation using the Chamfer matching with distance interpolation. Finally, matching accuracy is further refined by using a subpixel algorithm. Testing results demonstrate that greater matching accuracy is achieved using subpixel edges rather than edge pixels.

  • Highly c-axis oriented ferroelectric PbTiO3 thin films were deposited on MgO single crystal substrates by RF magnetron sputtering. We have studied the effects of substrate temperature, RF input power, gas comosition, gas pressure and deposition rate on the chemical and structural characteristics of PbTiO3 thin films. The epitaxy relationship of c-axis oriented films was found to be PbTiO3{100}//MgO(100) and their microstructures were highly mosaic. It was found that the most important parameter to achieve epitaxial PbTiO3 films was the substrate temperature. The activation energy for the epitaxy formation was about 0.92eV. Lower gas pressure and RF input power were favorable for the formation of epitaxial c-axis orientation. It was also found that the optimum oxygen content in Ar gas was 10% to obtain the stoichiometric PbTiO3 composition.

  • A continuous growth method (Orr's method) were developed to grow LiNbO3 single crystals. The optimum growth condition established are as follows; When the controlled temperature of a platinum crucible were 1190℃∼1210℃, the pulling rate was 2 mm/hr, the feeding rate was 1.5∼2.5 g/hr, and the rotation speed was 20 rpm. The phase and growth orientation of the grown LiNbO3 crystals wer characterized by a X-ray diffraction method. The overflowing phenomena, which induced cracking into the grown crystal during the process, was effectively suppressed by the control of the growth parameter.

  • A modeling method for the modal analysis of a rotating composite beam is presented in this paper. Linear differential equations of motion are derived by using the assumed mode method. For the modeling, hybrid deformation variables are employed and approximated to derive the equations of motion Symmetrical laminated layers are considered for the composite beam. The effects of the dimensionless angular velocity, the hub radius and the fiber orientation angle parameter on the variations of modal characteristics are investigated.

  • Aluminum nitride(AlN) thin films were deposited on silicon substrates using RF magnetron sputtering at various deposition conditions and investigated the characteristics. It was used XRD, AES, SEM, and HP-4145B semiconductor parameter analyzer to analysis deposited AlN thin films. The deposition conditions for the good c-axis orientation were 100 W of RF power, $200^{\circ}C$ of substrate temperature and 15 mTorr of working pressure. The leakage current density was less then $1.3{\times}10^{-7}A/cm^{2}$. And it was also investigated the etching properties of deposited AlN thin films for application.

  • We have calculated the tunneling density of states (TDOS) of a metal/d-wave superconductor proximity junction, where the metal stands fur the normal metal, 5-wave superconductor, and d-wave superconductor. The tunneling direction is through the ab-plane of the d-wave superconductor. Because of the sign change in the order parameter experienced in the multiple Andreev reflection, there appears a finite TDOS at zero bias for duty geometry, which results in the anomalous zero bias conductance peak(ZBCP). For $d_{x2-y2}$ geometry, however, no TDOS peak appears at zero bias. We have calculated TDOS for various crystal orientation of HTSC and compared with the experimental conductance.

  • Asymmetrical rolling was performed with different working roll speeds of upper and lower rolls. In order to promote the shear deformation during asymmetrical rolling, various deformation parameters of initial sheet thickness, rolling reduction, roll speed ratio and roll radius are considered. The evolution of texture during asymmetrical rolling was shown by the calculation of orientation distribution function (ODF). The effect of deformation parameters on shea. deformation were investigated by simulations with the finite element method (FEM). Asymmetrical rolling gave rise to the development of pronounced strain gradients throughout the thickness layers which resulted in the formation of strong texture gradients in the sheet.

  • The geometry of an MC (magnetic cloud) in the interplanetary space can be estimated by the magnetic flux rope model. But the single point observation in the interplanetary space near the Earth is scanty to comprehend the global configuration of MC because the MC is considered a huge loop extending from the Sun with both legs rooted on the Sun. If the MC is observed at two different locations sufficiently far away from each other, it may provide the global configuration of the MC. In this study, we model the MC which is observed two different locations using a simple straight cylinder model. The MC model fit parameters are the flux rope axis orientation (${\Theta}$, ${\phi}$), the intensity of the magnetic field at the flux rope axis ($B_0$), the radius of the MC ($R_0$), and the impact parameter (p), etc. With the MC model fit parameters we look into the difference between two observed MC geometries and also calculate the magnetic flux and helicity of the MC.
