The Fe complex formation of cyanidin-3-glucoside in acetate buffer solution $(pH1.7{\sim}6.0)$ was investigated spectrophotometically. Two different complexes were formed from cyanidin-3-glucoside and $Fe^{3+}$, which had the absorption maximum at 543nm in the pH range $3.0{\sim}4.0$ and at 570nm in the pH range $5.0{\sim}6.0$ respectively. The molar ratio of the complex formed in the lower pH range was appeared to be 1 : 1, whereas that of the complex formed in the upper pH range was not able to be determined definitely. Among several organic acids examined, citric acid has shown the marked inhibitory effect on the Fe-anthocyanin complex formation.

This study analyzed the physical properties and flame retardancy of Tencel FR/Cotton complex knit fabrics in order to satisfy two aspects of eco-friendliness and functionality. The flame retardant (FR) treatment of complex knit fabrics was applied by a pad-dry-cure method for additional functionality. Tensile strength, extension, bursting strength, LOI, and flame retardancy were measured by the KS (Korean Standard) K manual. The hand value knit fabrics were measured by KES-FB system. Subsequently, tensile strength and extension of wale and tensile strength of course increased in tandem with the Tencel FR yarn content. Tencel FR/Cotton complex knit fabrics were suitable for summer-weight and for baby clothes through the KES-FB system measurements. The bursting strength of Tencel FR/Cotton complex knit fabrics decreased as the contents of the Tencel FR increased; in addition, LOI increased as the contents of Tencel FR increased. This was due to the Tencel FR flame resistance function; however, the tensile strength decreased. The optimum fiber content of Tencel FR/cotton content was 1:1. The optimum conditions of flame retardant treatment were a treatment temperature $130^{\circ}C$ and the concentration of finishing agent and assistance binder (AR4260) was 35% and 1%, respectively.
A new bis(dicyclohexylammonium) chromate dihydrate complex, $[(C_6H_{11})_2NH_2]_2[CrO_4]{\cdot}2H_2O$, (I), has been synthesized and its structure analyzed by FT-IR, EDS, elemental analysis, ICP-AES, and single crystal X-ray diffraction methods. The Cr(VI) complex (I) is tetragonal system, I${\bar{4}}$2d space group with a = 12.5196(1), b = 12.5196(1), c = $17.3796(3){\AA}$, a = ${\beta}$ = ${\gamma}$ = $90^{\circ}$, V = $2724.09(6){\AA}^3$, Z = 4. The crystal structure of complex (I) consists of tetrahedral chromate $[CrO_4]^{2-}$ anion, two organic dicyclohexylammonium $[(C_6H_{11})_2NH_2]^+$ cations and two lattice water molecules. The chromate anion and protonated dicyclohexylammonium cation is mainly constructed through the ionic bond. The cyclohexylammonium rings of the dicyclohexylammonium cation take the chair form and vertical configuration with each other. The N-H${\cdot}$O and O-H${\cdot}$O hydrogen bond networks between the $N_{dicyclohexylammonium}$, $O_{water}$ and $O_{chromate}$ atom lead to self-assembled molecular conformation and stabilize the crystal structure.
A new inhibitor for peptidylprolyl cis-trans isomerase (PPIase) has been isolated from Ganoderma lucidum and purified to homogeneous state by organic solvent extraction. The purified PPIase inhibitor (GPI) is assumed to be a membrane-associated glycoprotein. GPI inhibits specifically the bovine brain PPIase, a cyclophilin, and has no effect on the FKBP activity. The results of our chemical modification study of GPI indicate the presence of Lys residue(s) at or near its binding site. Like CsA-cyclophilin complex, GPI-bovine brain PPIase complex strongly inhibits the calcineurin activity in vitro, suggesting the possible involvement of GPI in immunomodulating pathway by the formation of PPIase-inhibitor-calcineurin complex.

In this study, organic electroluminescent devices(OELD) with a structure of a glass $substrate/ITO/TPD/Tb(ACAC)_3(Phen-Cl)/Alq_3/Al$ was fabricated by vacuum evaporation method, where Tb complex was known to have green light emitting property. Electroluminescent(EL) and I-V characteristics of this structure were investigated. This triple-layer structure shows the green EL spectrum at the wavelwngth of 546nm, which is almost the same as the PL spectrum of $Pb(ACAC)_3(Phen_Cl)$. It was found in current-voltage(I-V) characteristics of the devices that the operating voltage was about 12V.
In the course of cement hydration it was found that the addition of polyvinyl alcohol(contracted as PVA. here after) only in the cement paste could more influence on the set-retardation the depression of heat evol-ution rate than that of montmorillonit only or PVA-montmorillonie intercalation complex (PMIC) due to the effective adsorption of PVA on cement particles. The improved mechanical strength by addition of montmorillonite and PMIC was observed remarkably up to 0.05wt% due to the decrease of macro-pores caused by lowed viscosity or the acceleration of hydration reaction.
Although various theories have been presented on the mechanism of setting retardation of plaster in addition to organic admixtures. The purpose of this paper is that Hydration studies of plaster of paris in the presence of carboxylic acids under alkalinity are examined in the coordination chemistry. Setting of plaster of paris is retarded by the addition of carboxylic acids except oxalic acid. And setting of plaster of paris contained 5 wt% of Ca(OH)2 is also retarded by the addition of above-mentioned carboxylic acids. The degree of retarding effect under alkalinity is found to be a function of the number of the functional group and the length of carbon chain of carboxyl acids. These reasons are attributed to the soluble complex formation, that is calcium complex formation between calcium ion and carboxylic acids. The author's proposal was confirmed by the results of electrical conductivity measurement. The formation of calcium complex was surpported by IR spectra.
For studying the influence of addition of Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)-montmorillonite complex on the hydration of Portland cement the PVA-montmorillonite derivatives were prepared in advance an characterized system-of Portland cement the PVA-montmorillonite derivatives were prepared in advance and characterized systema-tically. PVA with the polymerizationdegree ranging from 500 to 2000 have been intercalated into the lamellar structure of hydrated montmorillonites which were fractionated under 2㎛ by Stock's rule. In all cases the constant basal spacing of ∼20Å was determined whatever the molecular weight of PVA used. And the carbon chain orientation of PVA in the interfoliar space has been deduced to be parallel with bilayer structure.
Biofiltration is a biological process which is considered to be one of the more successful examples of biotechnological applications to environmental engineering, and is most commonly used in the removal of odoriferous compounds. In this study, we have attempted to assess the efficiency with which both single and complex odoriferous compounds could be removed, using one- or two-stage biofiltration systems. The complex gas removal scheme was applied with a 200 ppm inlet concentration of ethanol, 70 ppm of acetaldehyde, and 70 ppm of toluene with EBCT for 45 seconds in a one- or two-stage biofiltration system. The removal yield of toluene was determined to be lower than that of the other gases in the one-stage biofilter. Otherwise, the complex gases were sufficiently eliminated by the two-stage biofiltration system.

A bright and highly monochromatic red organic electroluminescent device based on a poly(N-vinylcarbazole) host was made. The device structure consists of poly(N-vinylcarbazole) dispersed with a europium complex as an emitting layer and a hole blocking layer of 2,9-dimethyl-4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline (BCP). The EL cell exhibited just characteristic emission of europium ion.
