요소의 암모니아화 및 질산화와 토양반응에 미친 수종 유기물의 영향 (Effect of a Number of Organic Sources on the Ammonification and Nitrification of Urea and Soil Reaction)

  • A laboratory experiment was conducted in order to learn the effect of a number of organic matters on the ammonification and nitrification of urea, and the reaction of soil, applied to a loamy upland soil poor in orgnic matter(<1.5%, without plants 1.The ammonification of urea was most pronounced in one week period immediatly after fertilizer and water treated, after which a rapid decrease of it was followed showing no accumulation at the end of 3rd week. Owing to the accumlation of ammonium, pHs of treated soils were read 7.0 to 7.3 from 6.8~6.9. 2.Nitrification was also progressed rapidly in the first one week period so that the accumulation of NO$_3$-N surpassed that of ammonia during this period. After the 1st week the accumulation of N0$_3$-N was continuously increased showing the maximum at the end of 4 weeks following a sharp decrease at the end of 5th weeks. The accumulation of NO$_3$-N dropped soil pH from 6.8-7.0 to 6. 0-6.2,but the decrease of NO-N at the end of 5th weeks brought up soil pH to 6.4-6.6. again. 3.Amino acid fermentation byproduct rich in salt, paticularly chloride, slowed down the ammonification and nitrification of urea. 4.The application of organic matter diminished the acidifying effect of chemical fertilizers. The diminishing effect of soluble humic acid and amion acid fermentation byproduct showed greater than that of solid organic matter in this experiment, which might be own to the application of a rather small amount of water soluble organic matters. Rice straw powder among solid organic matters appeared to be the least in the diminishing effect above. It may be reasoned that these soluble organic matters decomposes rapidly so as to affect Soil pH, but solid organic matters, particularly the rice straw powder, form acidic humus.

  • 전도성 고분자 센서 (Conducting polymer sensors)는 상온에서 휘발성 유기 화합물 가스 (Volitile organic compounds gases)에 대해 감도를 가지고 있다. 화학 중합으로 제조된 전도성고분자인 polypyrrole과 polyaniline로 이루어진 8개의 센서 어레이를 이용하여 VOCs 가스에 대한 감응 특성을 살펴보았다. 화학 중합으로 합성된 각 센서들은 증류된 pyrrole, aniline과 dopant로 dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid (DBSA)와 산화제로 ammonium persulfate (APS) 그리고 증류수를 이용하여 제조되었으며, 각 센서들의 특성 부여를 위해 redoping과 dedoping은 전기화합법을 이용하여 제조하였다. Dedoping 법은 전압을 반대로 걸어주어 처음 첨가된 dopant를 전해질 속으로 빼냈으며, redoping법은 1-octanesulfonic acid sodium salt를 화합중합으로 형성된 막에 다시 첨가 시켰다. 감도와 가역성은 doping, dedoping, redoping 그리고 두께에 따라 영향을 받는다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이들 전도성 고분자의 구조와 감도와의 관계를 scanning electron microscope (SEM), scanning probe microscope (SPM) 그리고 $\alpha$-step을 사용하여 조사하였다.

Aeromonas caviae에 의한 Sodium Dodecyl, Benzene Sulfonate 의 분해조건 (Identification of Aeromonas caviae and the Activity Test for Biodegradation of Sodium Dodecyl Benzene Sulfonate)

  • This paper was carried out to isolate and identify Aeromonas caviae which can degrade Sodium Dodecyl Benzene Sulfonate(SDBS) effectively. And the affecting factors for the ability of bacterial degradation were also studied. Frm October 1991 to February 1992, two hundred samples from sweage in Taegu area and Nakdong river waters in Talsung Gun area were tested. Minimal salt medium which contain SDBS only as a carbon source was used as a culture medium. The isolated new strain was identified as Aeromonas caviae Kim & Kweon. The optimal pH for SDBS degradation were 7.0 and temperature, $32^{\circ}C.$ It was taken 24 hours to degrade SDBS of 20mg/l completely under the optimal pH and temperature. And in the case of 30 mg/l of SDBS, it was taken 36 hours. The nitrogen sources were added to the minimal salt media containing 20mg/l of SDBS, and they were incubated at $32^{\circ}C$ for 14 hours. 86.9% SDBS were degraded after addition of 0.03% peptone as a organic nitrogen source. And 70.5% SDBS after addition of 0.05% ammonium sulfate as a inorganic nitrogen source. In the case of metal compounds(0.015%), the degradation rate for SDBS were 3.5 fold increased in the media containing magnesium chloride and calcium chloride than in the media that were not containing these metal compounds. And where the media containing magnesium chloride was 0.05%, the degradation rate was 65.8%. And above 0.3% NaCI, the degradation rate was decreased slowly.

  • 당밀(糖密)을 원료(原料)로 하여 발효법(醱酵法)으로 구르타민산(酸)소다를 제조(製造)할 때 부생(副生)하는 잔사(殘渣)를 가공(加工)하여 만든 구르타민산잔사가공비료(酸殘渣加工肥料) 시제품(試製品)에 대(對)하여 그 성질(性質)을 조사(調査)하고 그 비효를 요소(尿素), 퇴비(堆肥) 및 미강(米糠)과 대비(對比)해 옥수수 재배시험(栽培試驗)을 통(通)하여 검토(檢討)했든바 그 결과(結果)를 요약(要約)하면 아래와 같다. 1) 공시(供試) 구르타민산잔사가공물(酸殘渣加工物)은 유안(硫安), 염안(鹽安) 및 종류미상(種類未詳)의 복염등(複鹽等)의 무기물(無機物)과 수용성(水溶性) 아미노산류(酸類) 및 불용성(不溶性) 탄소화합물(炭素化合物)의 혼합물(混合物)임이 밝혀졌다. 2) 이 물질(物質)에 함유(含有)된 속효성N비료부분(肥料部分)의 효과는 요소(尿素)와 대등(對等)하다. 3) 이 물질(物質)에 함유(含有)된 유기물(有機物)은 옥수수의 수량(收量)에 미친 효과면에서 퇴비(堆肥)나 미강(米糠)과 대등(對等)한것 같다. 4) 이 물질(物質)의 시용(施用)은 옥수수의 양분흡수(養分吸收)나 기타(基他) 생리작용(生理作用)에 특이성(特異性)있는 해(害)를 미치지 않았다. 5) 이 물질(物質)에 함유(含有)된 유기물(有機物)이 토양중(土壤中) 철(鐵)의 유효화에 미치는 영향(影響)이 타유기물(他有機物)과 상이(相異)할 가능성(可能性)이 있음을 논(論)했다. 6) 이 물질(物質)의 시용(施用)은 토양(土壤)을 산성화(酸性化) 시키는 경향(傾向)이 뚜렷하며 토양중(土壤中) 가급태유황(可給態硫黃)과 토양유기물함량(土壤有機物含量)을 높이는 경향(傾向)이 있었다.

  • Variance of whiteness after graft copolymerization of acrylonitrile, methylmethacrylate and acrylamide onto bleached cellulose using Ce(IV) salt as initiators and the effect of homopolymer on the grafted fibers by photo-irradiation were studied. Also, the development of Yellowing were determined after carbon-arc radiation in a Fade-o-meter. The results were as follows: (1) Variation of whiteness of grafted cellulose fibers were influenced by graft-ratio, Inorganic-Organic Balance (IOB) of functional group in used monomers and adhering homopolymers on the grafed fibers. (2) Yellowing was not affected by the concentration of Ceric Ammonium Nitrate directly during reaction (eg. 0.008>0.006>0.014 M).

  • The increased interest in reducing the environmental effects caused by releasing organic compounds and aqueous waste has motivated the development of polymeric materials in supercritical fluids. Recently, supercritical fluids have been used in material synthesis and processing because of their special properties, such as high diffusivity, low viscosity, and low surface tension. Supercritical carbon dioxide is the most attractive because it is non-toxic, non-flammable, and has moderate critical temperature and critical pressure values. Supercritical carbon dioxide can also swell most polymers. In this study, we prepared polymer/clay nanocomposites using supercritical fluids. Cloisites 10A, 15A, 25A, and 30B used in this study are montmorillonites modified with a quaternary ammonium salt. The nanocomposites of polymer/clay were characterized by X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, and differential scanning calorimetry.

Structural and Optical Properties of the $(C_nH_{2n}_+_1NH_3)_2SnCl_4$ (n=2, 4, 6, 8, and 10) System

  • $K_2NiF_4$-type layered compounds of the ($C_nH_{2n+1}NH_3)_2SnCl_4$ (n=2, 4, 6, 8, and 10) system have been synthesized from a stoichiometric mixture of $SnCl_2$ and alkyl ammonium salt using a low temperature solution technique under the inert atmosphere condition. Their crystal structures are assigned to the orthorhombic system by X-ray powder diffraction analysis. The a and b cell parameters show small changes. However, the c parameter is varied significantly according to the increment of alkyl chains of the organic layer which is located between inorganic layers in the compounds. The conformational phase transitions of the compounds are studied by the DSC in the temperature range of 300 to 500 K. FT-IR and Raman spectra are analyzed in the ranges of 1300 to 4000 cm-1 and of 50 to 360 $cm^{-1}$ with Ar-laser (λ=514.5 nm) excitation, respectively. Photoluminescence phenomena are observed for some compounds. The bond-length of Sn-Cl is determined by the EXAFS spectroscopic analysis.

  • Azeotropic drying process is routinely applied to enhance nucleophilicity of $[^{18}F]$fluoride ion during the nucleophilic production of PET radiotracers; however, the drying process requires usually 15-25 min. Due to the high demand of employing fluorine-18 ($t_{1/2}=109.8min$) in PET radiopharmaceutical production, several research groups have focused on the method development, obviating tedious removal process of the residual target water ($[^{18}O]H_2O$) for $[^{18}F]$fluoride ion complex to be used in radiofluorination. Some development in radiofluorination in a mixed organic solvent system was demonstrated with various aliphatic substrates, but only kryptand as a phase transfer agent was utilized in the reported method. Here, we extend to investigate the development scope of applicability with basic alkyl ammonium salt as a phase transfer agent through the extensive elution efficiency study and radiofluorination outcome for aliphatic radiofluorination.

탈질/탈황 폐 세정액으로부터 질산염 추출 및 정제 연구 (Study on purification and extraction of nitrate salts from waste scrubbing liquid of de-SOx/de-NOx)

  • 전 세계적으로 증가하고 있는 선박 배출가스 규제를 위해 국제해사기구(IMO)는 배출되고 있는 가스의 부정적 환경영향에 대한 부각과 함께 법적인 규제를 강화하고 있다. 국제해사기구(IMO) 규제에 따라, 발트 해 연안을 지나는 모든 배들은 배출가스 제거창치를 장착해야 한다. 다양한 최신 탈황/탈질 장치가 소개되고 있는 가운데, 선박의 제한 된 공간을 활용한 폐 세정액 회수 공정 또한 중요한 기술로 발전 가능하다. 탈황/탈질 장치 후단에서 발생되는 폐 세정액은 질산암모늄, 황산암모늄과 같은 유용부산물을 포함하고 있다. 본 연구는 선택적 유기용매 염석 법, 저온 결정화 추출, 열 감압농축을 이용하여 유용부산물로서 질산암모늄을 추출하였다. 열 감압농축으로 얻어진 부산물을 반복적 유기용매 추출방법으로 정제했을 시 가장 높은 순도의 질산암모늄이 추출 되었다. 분석 장비를 통해 추출 된 유용 부산물의 성분 및 특성을 평가하였다.

L-Glutamic acid 생성균에 관한 연구 2 (Studies on L-Glutamic Acid-Producing Bacteria(II))

  • Searches for the nutrition requirements of three strains of Brevibacterium ammoniagenes reported in the previous paper were carried out with an aim of achieving the striking accumulation of L-glutamic acid and the large multipication of cells. It was recognized that all three strains required both biotin and thiamine, together with amino acids such as histidine or cysteine, for their good growth and extracellular L-glutamic acid accumulation. The quantity of biotin required for remarkable growth of these microorganisms was quite different from that for the maximum production of L-glutamic acid. This result, however, did not apply in the case of thiamine. It was also confirmed that, of 18 amino acids, histidine and cysteine were the msot effective organic nitrogen sources, while the most available inorganic ammonium salt resulting in a large amount of L-glutamic acid-production and considerable cell gorwth was found to be only urea. Maximum accumulation of extracellular L-glutamic acid, more than 50%(w/w) of the initial sugar content, could be obtained from fermentation in the medium containing wheat-bran extract(Brev. ammoniagenes T-1 and Brev.ammoniagenes Y-2) or rice-bran extract(Brev. ammoniagenes YR-2), which confirmed us a possibility that these bacteria might be employed for industrial fermentation of L-glutamic acid.
