  • The development of synthetic pathway to produce a highly yield nanoparticles is an important aspect of industrial technology. Herein, we report a simple, rapid approach to synthesize organic-soluble Cu and Ag nanoparticles in colloidal method for the application in a conductive pattern using inkjet printing. The silver nanoparticles have been synthesized in highly concentrated organic phase. The Cu nanoparticles have been synthesized by the reducing of the copper oxide materials using acid molecules in high concentrated organic phase. Their sintering and electric conductivity properties were investigated by melting process between $200^{\circ}C$ and $250^{\circ}C$ for application to printed electronics.

  • The optical properties of the materials composing organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) are considered when designing the optical structure of OLEDs. Optical design is related to the optical properties, such as the efficiency, emission spectra, and color coordinates of OLED devices because of the microcavity effect in top-emitting OLEDs. In this study, the properties of top-emitting blue OLEDs were optimized by adjusting the thicknesses of the thin metal layer and capping layer (CPL). Deep blue emission was achieved in an OLED structure with a second cavity length, even when the transmittance of the thin metal layer was high. The thin metal film thickness ranges applicable to OLEDs with a second microcavity structure are wide. Instead, the thickness of the thin metal layer determines the optimized thickness of the CPL for high efficiency. A thinner metal layer means that higher efficiency can be obtained in OLED devices with a second microcavity structure. In addition, OLEDs with a thinner metal layer showed less color change as a function of the viewing angle.

  • Organic molecular-beam deposition of Mg:Ag thin films with a low Mg concentration on tris (8-hydroxyquinolino) aluminum $(Alq_3)$ layers at room temperature was performed to investigate the feasibility of using Mg:Ag thin films as cathode electrodes in organic light-emitting devices (OLEDs). The effective barrier height of the $Mg:Ag/Alq_3$ heterointerface, determined from current-voltage measurements, was as low as 0.23 eV. These results help improve understanding the electrical properties of the $Mg:Ag/Alq_3$ heterointerfaces in OLEDs.

  • We fabricated top emission organic light emitting diode (TEOLED) with transparent metal cathode Barium and Silver bilayer. Very thin Ba/Ag bilayer was deposited on the organic layer by thermal evaporation. This cathode shows high transmittance over 70% in visible range. And the device with a Ba-Ag has a low turn on voltage and good electrical properties.

  • Organic transistors are promising in the future development of active devices for flexible, low-cost and large-area photoelectric devices. However, conventional organic field-effect transistors have lowspeed, low-power, and relatively high operational voltage. Vertical type transistors show high-speed and high-current characteristics and are suitable for driver elements of flexible displays.

  • In this paper, a pretreatment method for a matrix in convex optimization is proposed to optimize the spectral reconstruction process of a disordered dispersion spectrometer. Unlike the reconstruction process of traditional spectrometers using Fourier transforms, the reconstruction process of disordered dispersion spectrometers involves solving a large-scale matrix equation. However, since the matrices in the matrix equation are obtained through measurement, they contain uncertainties due to out of band signals, background noise, rounding errors, temperature variations and so on. It is difficult to solve such a matrix equation by using ordinary nonstationary iterative methods, owing to instability problems. Although the smoothing Tikhonov regularization approach has the ability to approximatively solve the matrix equation and reconstruct most simple spectral shapes, it still suffers the limitations of reconstructing complex and irregular spectral shapes that are commonly used to distinguish different elements of detected targets with mixed substances by characteristic spectral peaks. Therefore, we propose a special pretreatment method for a matrix in convex optimization, which has been proved to be useful for reducing the condition number of matrices in the equation. In comparison with the reconstructed spectra gotten by the previous ordinary iterative method, the spectra obtained by the pretreatment method show obvious accuracy.

  • In this paper, the inorganic-organic thin film encapsulation layer was newly adopted to protect the organic layer from moisture and oxygen. Using the electron beam, Sputter and Spin-Coater system, the various kinds of inorganic and organic thin-films were deposited onto the Ethylene Terephthalate(PET) and their interface properties between organic and inorganic layer were investigated. In this investigation, the SiON and Polyimide(PI) layer showed the most suitable properties. Under these conditions, the WVTR(water vapour transition rate) for PET can be reduced from level of 0.57 g/$m^2$/day (bare subtrate) to $1{\times}10^{-5}$ /$m^2$/day after application of a SiON and Polyimide layer. These results indicates that the SiON/PI/SiON/PI/PET barrier coatings have high potential for flexible organic light-emitting diode(OLED) applications.

  • We report a one-step fabrication of single-crystal organic nanowire arrays on substrates using a new direct printing method (liquid-bridge-mediated nanotransfer moulding, LB-nTM), which can simultaneously enable the synthesis, alignment and patterning of the nanowires using molecular ink solutions. Two- or three-dimensional complex structures of various single-crystal organic nanowires were directly fabricated over a large area with a successive process. The position of the nanowires can be aligned easily on complex structures because the mold is movable on substrates before drying the polar liquid layer, which acts as an adhesive lubricant. This efficient manufacturing method can produce a wide range of optoelectronic devices and integrated circuits with single-crystal organic nanowires.

  • The most important parameter of organic molecules for energy harvesting application focuses mainly on their band gap (HOMO-LUMO). In this report, we synthesized differently substituted 1,3,5-triazine based organic molecule which on future processing can be used in organic electronics like solar cells and OLED's. The energy gap of the synthesized novel analogue was calculated using cyclic voltammetry, UV-Visible spectroscopy and compared with density functional theory (DFT) studies.
