계층화 시공간 구조와 시공간 트렐리스 부호를 결합한 시스템에 적합한 계층화 수신기 (Layered Receivers for System Combined Layered Space-Time Processing and Space-Time Trellis Codes)

  • 계층화 시공간 구조와 시공간 트렐리스 부호를 결합한 시스템은 대역폭 확장없이 디버시티 이득과 부호화 이득 뿐 아니라 높은 전송률을 공급할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이 시스템에 적합한 두 가지 계층화 수신기 구조를 제안한다. 제안된 계층화 수신기 중 하나(LSTT-MMSE)는 신호를 interference nulling 과정을 통해, 부호화된 그룹 단위로 분류한 다음 각각의 시공간 트렐리스 복호기를 통해 복호하는 구조를 가지고 있다. 다른 하나의 제안된 수신기(LSTT-Whitening)는 interference nulling을 whitening과정으로 대체한 구조를 가지고 있다. Whitening을 적용한 수신기는 부호화된 시공간 구조에 비해 디버시티 이득과 수신 안테나의 수를 줄일 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다. 제안된 두 수신기는 간섭 억제(interference suppression) 방식에 따라 다른 복호순서(decoding order) 결정 방법을 사용한다. (4, 3) LSTT-Whitening 수신기는 (4, 4) LSTT-Nulling 수신기와 (4, 4) 부호화된 계층화 시공간 구조에 비해 수신 안테나의 수를 줄여도 여전히 1㏈ 성능 이득을 보인다.

치과에서 사용되는 필름 현상액에 대한 품질 평가 연구 (Quality Assessment of Film Processing Chemicals in Dentistry)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the qualities of the four different processing chemicals (solutions). Materials and Methods: With EP 21 films(Ektaspeed plus film, Kodak Co., USA), nine unexposed and nine exposed films of a step wedge were processed utilizing automatic film processor(XR 24, Durr Co., Germany) for 5 days. During 5 days, the total number of processed films including out-patient' s intraoral films were about 400-500 for each brand. Base plus fog density, film density, contrast of processed films were measured with densitometer(model 07-443 digital densitometer, Victoreen Co., USA). These measurements were analyzed for comparison. Results: The results were as follows, 1. For the base plus fog density. there was significant difference among the four chemicals (p<0.05). The sequence of the base plus fog densities was in ascending order by Kodak, X-dol 90. Agfa and Konica. 2. For the film density. all chemicals showed useful range of photographic densities(0.25-2.5). The sequence of the film densities was in ascending order by Kodak, X-dol 90, Konica and Agfa. But there was no statistically significant difference of film density between X-dol and Kodak (p<0.05). 3. The sequence of the contrasts was in ascending order by Konica, X-dol 90, Kodak and Agfa. But there was no statistically significant difference of contrast between X-dol and Konica (p<0.05). Conclusion: These results indicated that the four processing chemicals had clinically useful film density and contrast. but only Kodak processing chemical had useful base plus fog density.

온라인 GPS 자료처리 서비스의 좌표 정확도 비교분석 (Coordinate Accuracy Comparison of Online GPS Data Processing Services)

  • 이 연구에서는 측지 측량 분야의 GPS 사용자들이 해외 기관에서 제공하는 온라인 자료처리 서비스를 이용해 측점의 정밀좌표를 손쉽게 획득할 수 있도록 여러 기관에서 운영 중인 온라인 자료처리 서비스 간의 성능을 비교하였다. 온라인 GPS 자료처리 서비스 간의 성능비교를 위해 APPS, CSRS-PPP, AUSPOS 그리고 OPUS를 이용해 국내외 상시관측소 7곳의 좌표를 산출하였고, IERS와 국토지리정보원에서 제공하는 고시좌표와 비교하여 정확도를 분석하였다. 국외 상시관측소를 이용한 분석에서는 평균 9.3mm의 수평좌표 정확도에서 APPS, AUSPOS, OPUS, CSRS-PPP의 순서로 정확도가 높은 것으로 나타냈다. 국내 관측소의 경우 국외 분석사례와 유사하게 AUSPOS, APPS, OPUS, CSRS-PPP 순서로 높은 정확도를 보인 반면, 수평좌표 정확도는 평균 37.6mm를 기록하였다. 또한 국내 결과는 국외 결과보다 평균 3cm 큰 3차원 좌표오차를 보였으며, 북쪽 방향으로 약 3cm의 편의가 존재함을 확인하였다.

  • Broken rotor bars in induction motors can be detected by monitoring any abnormality of the spectrum amplitudes at certain frequencies in the motor current spectrum. Broken rotor bar fault detection schemes should rely on multiple signatures in order to overcome or reduce the effect of any misinterpretation of the signatures that are obscured by factors such as measurement noises and different load conditions. Multiple Discriminant Analysis (MDA) and Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) provide appropriate environments to develop such fault detection schemes because of their multi-input processing capabilities. This paper describes two fault detection schemes for broken rotor bar fault detection with multiple signature processing, and demonstrates that multiple signature processing is more efficient than single signature processing.

Variational Image Dehazing using a Fuzzy Membership Function

  • This paper presents a dehazing method based on a fuzzy membership function and variational method. The proposed algorithm consists of three steps: i) estimate transmission through a pixel-based operation using a fuzzy membership function, ii) refine the transmission using an L1-norm-based regularization method, and iii) obtain the result of haze removal based on a hazy image formation model using the refined transmission. In order to prevent color distortion of the sky region seen in conventional methods, we use a trapezoid-type fuzzy membership function. The proposed method acquires high-quality images without halo artifacts and loss of color contrast.

  • In this study, the basic image-board and algorithm has been developed to extract a road lane by modeling the driving process. The high speed processing enables an image capture, processing and prompt decision making. In order to high speed processing ASIC like FPGA was designed and integrated in one board system. The algorithm enabling road driving must recognize a straight and bend edge separately. The high speed image processing board using FPGA can be used in real-time decision makeing system for road driving and in the machine vision under bad working environments like a coal mine. And it also can be used in the safety control system in subway and in image input system of CCTV and CATV by designing the board to meet various user's needs.

  • This paper considers the part assignment to workstations in flexible manufactuirng system (FMS). Parts are processed through several workstations according to processing order. The machines of each workstation can do multiple Processing functions. Therefore, a processing of a part can be processed in several workstations, which are non-identical in functional performance. Although a processing of a part can be processed in the multiple workstations, it has to be processed in only one among available several workstations, Parts are transported with unit load by automated guided vehicles (AGVs). The criteria of part assignment is to minimize the maximum value of the processing times of each workstation and the total transport times of vehicles. Model formulation is suggested, and numerical example is shown.

  • To obtain a specific pharmacological effect, herbal medicines are i)recessed based on the principle of traditional korean medicines. However, the problem in processing is the variety of methods, technics, and drug quality. In order to establish the base of standardization of processing methods, some herbal medicines were processed and studied the change of a color tone before and after processing.

GIS-based Meteorological Data Processing Technology for Forest Fire Danger Rating Forecast System of China

  • The data of average temperature, average relative humidity, precipitation and average wind speed were collected from 674 meteorological stations in China. A specific procedure that processes original data into a new data format needed in forest fire danger rating forecast system of China was introduced systematically, and the feasibility of this method was validated in this paper. In addition, a set of meteorological data processing software was constructed by the secondary development of GIS in order to realize automation of processing data for the system. Results showed that the approach preformed well in handling temperature, average relative humidity and average wind speed, and the processing effect of precipitation was acceptable. Moreover, the automated procedure could be achieved by GIS and the working efficiency was about 3 times as much as that of manual handling. The informationization level of processing meteorological data was greatly enhanced.
