신뢰성 기반 강건 최적화를 이용한 자동채염기의 확률론적 구조설계 (Probabilistic Structure Design of Automatic Salt Collector Using Reliability Based Robust Optimization)

  • This paper deals with identification of probabilistic design using reliability based robust optimization in structure design of automatic salt collector. The thickness sizing variables of main structure member in the automatic salt collector were considered the random design variables including the uncertainty of corrosion that would be an inevitable hazardousness in the saltern work environment. The probabilistic constraint functions were selected from the strength performances of the automatic salt collector. The reliability based robust optimum design problem was formulated such that the random design variables were determined by minimizing the weight of the automatic salt collector subject to the probabilistic strength performance constraints evaluating from reliability analysis. Mean value reliability method and adaptive importance sampling method were applied to the reliability evaluation in the reliability based robust optimization. The three sigma level quality was considered robustness in side constraints. The probabilistic optimum design results according to the reliability analysis methods were compared to deterministic optimum design results. The reliability based robust optimization using the mean value reliability method showed the most rational results for the probabilistic optimum structure design of the automatic salt collector.

대학 캠퍼스 냉·난방시스템 최적화 방안 연구 (A Study on the Optimization of Heating and Cooling System in University Campus)

  • The demands are increasing for the efficient heating and cooling system and thermal comfort environment because of changes in climate and environment, and deterioration of buildings and facilities can cause education budget to increase. So the study to apply heating and cooling system to university is urgently needed to improve an optimum energy saving system, educational environment and convenience of maintenance. For this reason, we selected a university campus in Seoul then came to understand the current situation and found some problems. We drew alternatives from comparative analysis of them. It selects representative building and carries out economic analysis to evaluate characteristics of energy consumption and economics on each type of heating and cooling system. As a result we drew the optimum system from those processes as previously stated. We studied 3 available systems, absorption chiller, EHP(Electric Heat Pump) and GHP(Gas Engine Heat Pump). According to LCC analysis suppose that the value of EHP is 1, it came out that the value of absorption chiller is 1.5 and the value of GHP is 2.2. This study, suggesting the optimum heating and cooling system, will support educational and research activities furthermore effect to maximize energy efficiency. Ultimately it is expected that it will contribute to make eco-friendly Green Campus.

터어빈 블레이드의 통계적 파괴 분석 (Statistical Fracture Analysis of Turbine blade)

  • 본 연구에서는 통계적 파괴 분석으로서 turbine blade에서의 피로 수명이 최소화되는 최적 설계안을 도출하는 데에 있다. 그 방법으로서는 최소한의 피로 수명이 나오는 설계안을 위해 먼저 fillet radius를 고정한 후, 실험 계획법을 통하여 turbine blade에서의 최적의 X 와 Y 위치를 찾는다. 또한 six sigma analysis로서 X 와 Y 인자에서의 공정에 대한 불확실성을 계산한다. 그리고 robust design을 사용하여 주어진 불확실성 상태에서 최적의 fillet radius 값을 결정하여 최대의 von Mises 응력은 20%가 작아지고 피로수명이 두 배가 되는 최적의 설계를 할 수가 있었다.

반응표면분석법에 의한 늙은 호박 추출조건의 모니터링 (Monitoring on Extraction Conditions of Old Pumpkin Using Response Surface Methodology)

  • Response surface methodology was used for monitoring extraction conditions, based on quality properties of old pumpkin extracts. Hunter's color L value of extracts was maximized at 101℃, 2.6 hr and decreased gradually after maximum point. The polynomial equation for Hunter's color L value showed 10% of significance level and 0.8799 of R². Hunter's color a value was minimized at 117℃, 3.9 hr and R² of polynomial equation was 0.9852 within 1% significance level. Hunter's color b value and ΔE value increased as the extracting temperature and time increased. Extraction yield of old pumpkin was maximized at 110℃, 4 hr and increased in proportional to the extracting temperature and time, but decreased after 113℃ and 2 hr. Viscosity of pumpkin extracts were maximized at 120℃, nearly 3 hr. R² of polynomial equations for yield, viscosity and sugar content were 0.9532, 0.9812 and 0.8869, respectively. Optimum ranges of extraction conditions for quality properties of old pumpkin were 102∼109℃, 2.5∼3.5 hr, respectively. Predicted values at the optimum extraction condition agreed with experimental values.

스프레더용 충격흡수기의 시스템 변화에 따른 최적설계 (The Optimum Design of Impact Absorbing System for Spreader in System Variations)

  • 본 연구에서는 항만하역장비인 스프레더용 충격흡수기의 개발을 위해 스프링과 오일댐퍼로 구성된 세 가지 형태의 모델에 대한 동적응답을 유한요소해석에 의해 수행하였다. 또한, 세 가지 모델의 충격흡수기에서 피스톤의 제한된 행정을 정적변수로 하고 목적함수인 충격에 대한 반력이 최소가 되도록 최적설계를 수행하였다. 본 연구의 결과로는 직렬식 2자유도계 모델의 반력이 가장 작게 나타났으며 그 다음으로는 1자유도계 모델, 병렬식 2자유도계 모델의 순으로 나타났다. 스프링상수와 감쇠계수의 변화가 반력에 미치는 영향을 확인하였으며, 최적설계 결과 각 모델에 대한 반력이 최소가 되는 스프링상수와 감쇠계수를 구하였다.

치자색소의 염료화 및 염색성 (The Acquisition and dyeability of Gardenia jasminoides Colorant)

  • The acquistion and dyeability of the Gardenia jasminoides were examined to establish the optimum condition for extraction and storage in the process of obtaining the natural dye, Gardenia jasminoides colorant. Also the dyeability and colorfastness of Gardenia jasminoides were investigated. The results of this study are as follows. The optimum part-removed seed. In all experiments, the part of fat-removed seed and pericarp was used. The optimum condition for extraction of Gardenia jasminoides colorant was at 40℃ and for 90 min. in methanol. As storage temperature was higher, the absorbance of colorant extract decreased rapidly. The Gardenia jasminoides colorant exhibited dyeability to cotton, silk, wool, and nylon. The dyeability was the greatest in wool, and then nylon, silk, and cotton. Both wool and nylon had the greatest K/S value at pH3, however, nylon and cotton at pH 6 and pH 8 respectively. In addition, the increase in K/S value corresponded to temperature in wool and nylon, but the silk and cotton had the greatest K/S value at 60℃. Also, the K/S value increased in concomitant with the increased number of dyeing repetition. In the most cases, colorfastness of light was weak but colorfastness of laundry, sweat was relatively excellent.

구름베어링용 우레아계 최적 그리이스의 합성과 특성평가 (A Study on Synthesis and Characteristics of the Optimum Urea Type Greaes for Rolling Bearings)

  • Rolling bearings are classified one of the most important machine elements. The various function of bearings are greatly influenced by grease, and higher performance of rolling bearing greases is required to improve bearing lubrication. Three urea/ether oil greases with different composition were synthesized to compare the performance of these greases. The typical grease physical properties were investigated, and life test of these greases was conducted by FE-9 grease life tester. The grease with higher content of the thickener showed higher performance. After these preliminary test, twelve greases were synthesized and evaluated the performance of dropping point and OIT value. And optimized conditions for grease synthesis were selected by SSRED (Six Sigma Robust Engineering Design) using dropping point and OIT value respectively. The optimized grease using OIT value showed longer grease life than that using dropping point. Two greases were synthesized following the optimum synthesis conditions by means of OIT value. Then grease life and other properties of these greases were investigated. These two greasaes showed longer grease life than typical urea/ether oil grease.

  • In this study, computer program for the optimum design of two continuous box culvert was developed. It was shown that even though the starting points and optimization method are different, the objective function and optimum design variables converge to a value within a close range respectively, and consequently the optimum design program developed in this study is reliable and robust. MMFD is the most efficient one from the viewpoint of convergency and computing time.
