설계변수 매개화를 이용한 전기기기 최적설계 (Optimum Design of Electrical Apparatus Using Design Variable Parametrization)

  • ln this paper, the optimum design of electrical apparatus using design variable parametrization is presented. For analysis and design, the finite element method and the design sensitivity method is used, respectively. By applying the parametrization of the design variables, the obtained designed shape is continuous and smooth. For the parametrization the Bezier spline is used. The designed shape with parametrization is characterized by the control points. By delivering control points to the commercial CAD packages or NC machines, the exact designed shape can be realized in the manufacturing the electrical apparatus. The designed results with and without parametrization are compared and the validity of the parametrization is verified.

  • Recently developed automotive components are of lightweight nature, providing automobiles with a high fuel efficiency and performance. In response to those trends of car developments, this study proposes a structural optimization method for the lower control ann. Lightweight design of lower control am can be achieved through two approaches: design and material technology. In this research, the former includes optimization technology, and the latter the technologies for selecting aluminum as a steel-substitute material. In this research, the design of experiments(DOE) built in ANSYS WORKBENCH are utilized to determine the optimum shape of a Lower Control Arm. And optimum design is compared first model and reduced design variable model that considered sensitivity using orthogonal array.

확률기반 해상위기평가에서 실시간 민감도를 이용한 위기수준의 단계 구분 수 결정에 관한 연구 (Determining the Number of Risk Level Using Real-time Sensitivities in the Probabilistic Maritime Risk Evaluation)

  • 해상에서 발생하는 위기의 확률적인 평가결과는 확률(P=0.0~1.0)로 나타난다. 이러한 확률적인 위기평가결과는 위험한 정도를 쉽게 알기 위하여 일반적으로 평가의 기준이 되는 위기허용수준(Risk Acceptance Criteria, RAC)을 이용하여 지수(index)로 나타낸다. 현재 RAC은 3단계, 5단계, 7단계 등으로 구분하는데, 구분한 단계 수가 위기평가에 적합한지를 평가할 필요가 있음에도 불구하고 관련 연구가 전무한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 RAC의 단계 구분 수에 따른 민감도(Sensitivity)와 민감도의 분포특성을 이용하여 최적의 RAC 구분 단계 수를 정할 수 있는 평가기법을 제안하였다. 사전 연구결과로부터 획득한 확률적인 위기평가 데이터에 대해서 제안한 기법을 적용한 결과, 민감도가 10배 이내로 형성되는 최적의 RAC 구분 단계 수를 결정할 수 있었고, 이를 통해서 제안한 방법의 유효성을 확인하였다.

마찰 교반 용접된 철도 차량용 A6005 압출재의 기계적 성능 향상을 위한 최적 공법 설계 (Optimum Design of the Friction Stir Welding Process on A6005 Extruded Alloy for Railway Vehicles to Improve Mechanical Properties)

  • Recently, extruded aluminium-alloy panels have been used in the car bodies for the purpose of the light-weight of railway vehicles and FSW(Friction Stir Welding), which is superior to the arc weldings, has been applied in the railway vehicles. This paper presents the optimum design of the FSW process on A6005 extruded alloy for railway vehicles to improve its mechanical properties. Rotational speed, welding speed and tilting angle of the tool tip were chosen as design parameters. Three objective functions were determined; maximizing the tensile strength, minimizing the hardness and maximizing the difference between the normalized tensile strength and hardness. The tensile tests and the hardness tests for fifteen FSW experiments were carried out according to the central composite design table. Recursive model functions on three characteristic values, such as the tensile strength, the hardness difference(${\Delta}Hv$) and the difference of normalized tensile strength and ${\Delta}Hv$, were estimated according to the classical response surface analysis methodology. The reliability of each recursive function was verified by F-test using the analysis of variance table. Sensitivity analysis on each characteristic value was done. Finally, the optimum values of three design parameters were found using Sequential Quadratic Programming algorithm.

다구찌 방법을 이용한 시로코 홴의 최적설계에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Optimum Design of Sirocco Fan by Using Taguchi Method)

  • This paper is studied to find the optimum condition of double-inlet Sirocco fan installed in an indoor PAC for low noise operation by the Taguchi method. The goal of this study is to obtain the best combination of each control factor which results in a desired flowrate of Sirocco fan with minimum variability. In this study, the parameter design of the Taguchi method is adopted for robust design by the dynamic characteristic analysis using orthogonal arrays and S/N ratios. The flowrate measurements are conducted by using a multiple-nozzle-type fan tester according to the orthogonal array L9($3^4$). The results of this study can be summarized as follows ; (i) The optimum condition of control factor is a set of where A is an inner to outer diameter ratio($D_1/D_2$), B is a width to outer diameter ratio($L/D_2$), C is a blade attachment angle(${\theta}$) and D is a number of blade(Z), (ii) The flowrate under the optimum condition satisfies the equation $y=0.0384{\cdot}M$ where M is a signal factor, namely number of revolution. The flowrate performance improves about 7.3% more largely as compared with the current condition, which results in about 35RPM reduction of number of revolution for the target flowrate $18.5m^3/min$, and (iii) The sensitivity analysis shows that the major factors in contribution to flowrate performance are A, B, and D ; the percentage contributions of each control factor are 44.01%(Z), 26.77%($D_1/D_2$) and 20.42%($L/D_2$).

경년별 총비용을 고려한 공동주택의 리모델링 시기 추정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Estimation of Optimum Remodeling Period for Apartment Buildings using Total Cost)

  • 일반적으로 공동주택의 수명은 50년이지만, 보통 20년이 경과하면 철거되거나 재건축되어 경제적인 낭비를 초래하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 LCC이론을 기초로 초기투자비와 경과년수에 따른 유지관리비용의 합이 최소가 되는 시점을 추정 $\cdot$ 분석하여 공동주택의 적정 리모델링 시기를 도출함을 목적으로 하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 보면 내용년수 50년까지의 건축물의 생애 총유지관리비용의 합은 초기투자비의약 4.69배가 되고, 공동주택의 적정 리모델링 시기는 할인율 $4.17\%$를 적용했을 경우 30년으로 파악되었으며 서울시에서 발표한 법정허용년수인 40년이 경제수명으로 설정되려면 할인율은 $6.122\%$가 설정되어야 한다. 또한 할인율 변동에 따른 민감도 분석결과 할인율이 감소할 경우 적정 리모델링 시기는 연장되며, 증가할 경우 단축되는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 본 연구의 결과는 공동주택의 철거 또는 재건축 시기를 예측할 수 있으며, 보수 및 대수선의 적절한 시기를 예측하여 공동주택의 수명을 최대한 연장시킬 수 있는 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

스퍼터링법으로 제조된 Pd-doped $SnO_2$ 박막의 수소가스 감도 특성 (The Hydrogen Gas Sensing Characteristics of the Pd-doped $SnO_2$ Thin Films Prepared by Sputtering)

  • Pd-doped SnO2 thin films for hydrogen gas sensing were fabricated by reactive fo magnetron sputtering and were studied on effects of film thickness and Pd doping content. Pd doping caused the optimum sensor operation temperature to reduce down to ~25$0^{\circ}C$ and also enhanced gas sensitivity, compared with undoped SnO2 film. Gas sensitivity depended on the film thickness. The sensitivity increased with decreasing the film thickness, showing maximum sensitivities at the thickness of 730$\AA$ and 300~400$\AA$ for the undoped SnO2 and the Pd-doped SnO2 film, respectively. Further decrease of the film thickness beyond these thickness ranges, however, resulted in the reduction of sensitivity again.

  • A 3D shape optimization algorithm integrates the geometric parameterizationi 3D F.E. performance analysis, steepest descent method with design sensitivity and mesh relocation method. The design sensitivity of the surface nodal points is also systematically converted into that of the design variables for the application to parameterized optimization. The proposed algorithm is applied to the optimum design of tank shield model of transformer and the effectiveness is proved.

  • This paper presents a new shaoe optimal design method using Desing Sensitivity Analysis. Design Sensitivity, defined as the variation of the object function with respect to the design variables, is based on the total differentiation of the matrix equation obtained from discretization of governing equations with respect to design variables. Analysis of the various characteristics adn calculation of Design Sensitivity of optimization model are achieved by using finite or boundary element methods. The proposee algorithm is applied to the optimal shape design of high voltage electrode under specified conditions. It is shown, from the numerical results, that the algorithm is very useful for the optimal shape design of electric apparatus.

  • The research and applications of numerical methods of design optimization on structural dynamic behaviors are presented in this paper. The emphasis is focused on the dynamic design optimization of aerospace structures, particularly those composed of composite laminate and sandwich plates. The methods of design modeling, sensitivity analysis on structural dynamic responses, and the optimization solution approaches are presented. The numerical examples of sensitivity analysis and dynamic structural design optimization are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the numerical methods.
