영상센서 픽셀 불균일 보정 알고리즘 개발 및 시험 (Proposal and Verification of Image Sensor Non-uniformity Correction Algorithm)

  • 균일한 빛 에너지에 대하여 영상센서의 모든 픽셀은 이상적으로는 균일하게 반응해야하지만 실제적으로는 그렇지 않다. 이러한 영상센서의 불균일 특성은 픽셀자체의 특성과 광학모듈 특성 등에 의하여 발생한다. 영상센서의 불균일 특성은 고정된 형태의 잡음으로 다양한 보정 알고리즘에 의해 보정될 수 있으며 보정능력에 따라 더욱 우수한 영상 품질을 기대할 수 있다. 보통, 영상센서의 불균일 보정은 적절한 알고리즘에 의해 보정계수를 구한 후 이를 적용하여 이루어진다. 본 논문에서는 모든 광량영역에서 좀 더 정확하고 신뢰성 있는 최적의 픽셀 불균일 보정계수 계산 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안한 알고리즘은 불균일 특성을 향상시키기 위해 센서를 1차원으로 모델링하였으며 보정계수를 구하기 위해 여러 광량레벨에서 측정데이터를 얻고 최적의 해를 얻기 위해 최소자승법을 이용한다. 논문에서는 보정계수 획득을 위해 적분구, 프래임그래버를 탑재한 컴퓨터 및 제안한 알고리즘을 구현한 소프트웨어를 사용하였다. 또한 자체 구현한 카메라와 별도의 시험셋업을 이용하여 불균일 시험을 수행하여 제안한 알고리즘을 검증하였다. 제안한 알고리즘을 보정 전 결과 및 기존 방법의 결과와 비교하였으며, 비교 결과, 제안한 알고리즘이 모든 광량에서 가장 좋고 신뢰성 있는 결과를 보여주었다.

움직임 보상 기법과 분할 대역 기법을 사용한 동영상 부호화 기법 (An image sequence coding using motion-compensated transform technique based on the sub-band decomposition)

  • 본 논문에서는 동영상 부호화를 위하여 움직임 보상기법과 분할 대역 기법을 사용한 MCSBC 부호화 기법을 제안하였다. 또한 MCSBC에 관한 여러가지 문제들, 즉 각 분할 대역에의 움직임 보상 기법에 관한 문제, 각 분할 대역의 DCT 계수에 대한 효율적인 비트 할당등을 다루었다. MCSBC의 효율적인 부호화를 위하여 먼저 원신호에 대역 분할을 수행한 후, 움직임 보상 기법은 저대역의 영상 신호에만 적용하였고, 모든 대역에 이산 여현 변환(DCT)를 적용하였다. DCT가 적용된 블럭들은 각 대역 신호의 특징에 따라 최적화된 주사 방법 및 비트 할당을 사용하여 부호화한다. 이러한 MCSBC 기법은 고화질 TV 용 동영상에 적용하여 모의 실험을 수행하였다. 모의 실험 결과, 제안한 MCSBC 기법은 일반적인 움직임 보상 동영상 부호화 기법에 비하여 약 1.5dB의 성능향상을 확인할 수 있었다.

효율적인 주파수 변조된 초음파 파형 발생을 위한 최적화된 시그마 델타 변조 기법 (Optimized Sigma-Delta Modulation Methodology for an Effective FM Waveform Generation in the Ultrasound System)

  • A coded excitation has been studied to improve the performance for ultrasound imaging in term of SNR, imaging frame rate, contrast to tissue ratio, and so forth. However, it requires a complicated arbitrary waveform transmitter for each active channel that is typically composed of a multi-bit Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) and a linear power amplifier (LPA). Not only does the LPA increase the cost and size of a transmitter block, but it consumes much power, increasing the system complexity further and causing a heating-up problem. This paper proposes an optimized 1.5bit fourth order sigma-delta modulation technique applicable to design an efficient arbitrary waveform generator with greatly reduced power dissipation and hardware. The proposed SDM can provide a required SQNR with a low over-sampling ratio of 4. To this end, the loop coefficients are optimized to minimize the quantization noise power in signal band while maintaining system stability. In addition, the decision level for the 1.5 bit quantizer is optimized for a given input waveform, which results in the SQNR improvement of more than 5dB. Computer simulation results show that the SQNR of a FM(frequency modulated) signal generated by using the proposed method is about 26dB, and the peak side-lobe level (PSL) of its compressed waveform on receive is -48dB.

둥굴레, 어성초, 구기자 혼합 음료의 배합비 최적화 및 항산화 효과 (Optimization of Production and Antioxidant Effects of Beverage Prepared using Hot-water Extracts of Polygonatum odoratum, Houttuynia cordata, and Lycium chinensis)

  • 본 연구에서는 당류 등 별도의 첨가물질을 전혀 사용하지 않고 오직 둥굴레, 어성초 및 구기자로부터 추출한 열수추출액만을 혼합하여 기호도가 높으면서도 혈당 및 지질대사 개선 효능을 가진 건강음료를 제조하는 연구의 일환으로, 관능평가와 반응표면분석에 의하여 이들 재료의 혼합비율을 최적화하고 최적 비율로 혼합 제조한 음료의 항산화능을 조사하였다. 그 결과, 음료 제조 시 열수추출액들의 최적 혼합비율은 둥굴레 열수추출액의 첨가비율 2.15%, 어성초 열수추출액의 첨가비율 1.74%, 구기자 열수추출액의 첨가비율 0.19%인 것으로 예측되었다. 제조한 음료의 항산화능을 알아보고자 조사한 총 폴리페놀, 전자공여능 및 환원력은 각각 3.42 mg/mL, 23.78% 및 0.26이었다.

High Temperature Cooking of Fish Protein Extracts for Plastein Reaction

  • High Temperature-cooking conditions of cultured fishes(loach, crucian carp, bastard halibut, and jacopever) were optimized by response surface methodology(RSM), and plastein products were prepared using enzymatic hydrolysis. Four models were proposed with regard to effects of time(t), temperature(T), and water/fish meat (w/f) ratio on the amount of 0.3M TCA soluble fractions. The model coefficients were ranged from p<0.0001 for jacopever to p<0.0433 for bastared halibut. Cooking conditions for 60% hydrolysis were optimized at 1) 14$0^{\circ}C$ except for crucian carp(136$^{\circ}C$); 2) 10.08 hours(loach), 7.25 hours(crucian carp), 9.85 hours(ba-stard harlibut), and 9.37 hours(iacopever); 3) 1:1(w/f) ratio except for the crucian carp(1.1:1). When protein hydrolyzates were employed for the plastein synthesis, optimum plastein-reaction conditions were determined to be pH 9.0 with chymotrypsin for the loach and crucian carp hydrolyzates, pH 9.0 with papain for the bastard halibut hydrolyzate, and pH 11.0 with trypsin for the jacopever hydrolyzate. Plastein reaction could be performed in water at concentration up to 20%(w/f).

공간 탐색 최적화 알고리즘을 이용한 K-Means 클러스터링 기반 다항식 방사형 기저 함수 신경회로망: 설계 및 비교 해석 (K-Means-Based Polynomial-Radial Basis Function Neural Network Using Space Search Algorithm: Design and Comparative Studies)

  • In this paper, we introduce an advanced architecture of K-Means clustering-based polynomial Radial Basis Function Neural Networks (p-RBFNNs) designed with the aid of SSOA (Space Search Optimization Algorithm) and develop a comprehensive design methodology supporting their construction. In order to design the optimized p-RBFNNs, a center value of each receptive field is determined by running the K-Means clustering algorithm and then the center value and the width of the corresponding receptive field are optimized through SSOA. The connections (weights) of the proposed p-RBFNNs are of functional character and are realized by considering three types of polynomials. In addition, a WLSE (Weighted Least Square Estimation) is used to estimate the coefficients of polynomials (serving as functional connections of the network) of each node from output node. Therefore, a local learning capability and an interpretability of the proposed model are improved. The proposed model is illustrated with the use of nonlinear function, NOx called Machine Learning dataset. A comparative analysis reveals that the proposed model exhibits higher accuracy and superb predictive capability in comparison to some previous models available in the literature.

강수 및 비 강수 사례 판별을 위한 최적화된 패턴 분류기 설계 (Design of Optimized Pattern Classifier for Discrimination of Precipitation and Non-precipitation Event)

  • In this paper, pattern classifier is designed to classify precipitation and non-precipitation events from weather radar data. The proposed classifier is based on Fuzzy Neural Network(FNN) and consists of three FNNs which operate in parallel. In the proposed network, the connection weights of the consequent part of fuzzy rules are expressed as two polynomial types such as constant or linear polynomial function, and their coefficients are learned by using Least Square Estimation(LSE). In addition, parametric as well as structural factors of the proposed classifier are optimized through Differential Evolution(DE) algorithm. After event classification between precipitation and non-precipitation echo, non-precipitation event is to get rid of all echo, while precipitation event including non-precipitation echo is to get rid of non-precipitation echo by classifier that is also based on Fuzzy Neural Network. Weather radar data obtained from meteorological office is to analysis and discuss performance of the proposed event and echo patter classifier, result of echo pattern classifier compare to QC(Quality Control) data obtained from meteorological office.

Numerical Analysis of the Three-Dimensional Wake Flow and Acoustic Field around a Circular Cylinder

  • For decades, researchers have rigorously studied the characteristics of flow traveling around blunt objects in order to gain greater understanding of the flow around aircraft, vehicles or vessels. Many different types of flow exist, such as boundary layer flow, flow separation, laminar and turbulent flow, vortex and vortex shedding; such types are especially observed around circular cylinders. Vortex shedding around a circular cylinder exhibits a two-dimensional flow structure possessing a Reynolds number within the range of 47 and 180. As the Reynolds number increases, the Karman vortex changes into a three-dimensional flow structure. In this paper, a numerical analysis was performed examining the flow and aero-acoustic field characteristics around a circular cylinder using an optimized high-order compact scheme, which is a high order scheme. The analysis was conducted with a Reynolds number ranging between 300 and 1,000, which belongs to B-mode flow around a circular cylinder. For a B-mode Reynolds number, a proper spanwise length is analyzed in order to obtain the characteristics of three-dimensional flow. The numerical results of the Strouhal number as well as the lift and drag coefficients according to Reynolds numbers are coincident with the other experimental results. Basic research has been conducted studying the effects an unstable three-dimensional wake flow on an aero-acoustic field.

Statistical Optimization of Medium Components by Response Surface Methodology to Enhance Menaquinone-7 (Vitamin K2) Production by Bacillus subtilis

  • Optimization of the culture medium to maximize menaquinone-7 (MK-7) production by Bacillus subtilis strain KCTC 12392BP in static culture was carried out using statistical experimental methods, including one factor at a time, fractional factorial design, and response surface methodology (RSM). Maltose (carbon source), tryptone (nitrogen source), and glycerol (activator) were identified as the key medium components for MK-7 synthesis by the fractional factorial design, and were selected for statistical optimization by RSM. The statistical analysis indicated that, in the range that was studied, maltose, tryptone, and glycerol were all critical factors having profound effects on the production of MK-7, with their coefficients for linear and quadratic all significant at the p < 0.05 level. The established model was efficient and feasible, with a determination coefficient ($R^2$) of 0.9419. The predicted concentrations of maltose, tryptone, and glycerol in the optimal medium were determined as 36.78, 62.76, and 58.90 g/l, respectively. In this optimized medium, the maximum yield of MK-7 reached a remarkably high level of $71.95{\pm}1.00{\mu}g/ml$ after 9 days of static fermentation, which further verified the practicability of this optimized strategy.

전산화 단층촬영과 생체 전기저항 분석법으로 측정한 내장지방과 비만관련 지표의 연관성 (The Association Between Visceral Fat Area and Obesity Index)

  • Objectives: In this study, we used with visceral fat area(VFA)/subcutaneous fat area(SFA) ratio(V/S ratio) and bioelectrical impedence analysis(BIA) for a comparative study between VFA measured from several abdominal computed tomography(CT) images and obesity indexes, such as body mass index(BM), waist circumference(WC), and waist-hip ratio(WHR). Methods: A group of 63 test subjects were gathered in the oriental medical hospital of Kyung-Won university. BIA for body composition and body size for obesity indexes were estimated to evaluate the obesity indexes. Pearson correlation coefficients and regression analysis were used to select useful obesity index. Results: The VFA-CT was significantly related to BMI, SFA, WC, hip circumference(HC), body fat mass(BFM), basal metabolic rate(BMR), and VFA-BIA. Especially, we found that the VFA-BIA and BMI were significantly correlated to VFA-CT. Conclusions: VFA-BIA index is an optimized index for diagnosis and evaluation of obesity. Finally, we found that the BMI is optimized to represent VFA.
