In recent years, the interest of environmental-friendly transportation modes has been growing. This is because of social and environmental problems such as increasing gas price and climate change. In Europe, bike-sharing service, one of the environmental-friendly transportation modes, has been already operated. Bike-sharing service named "Tashu" has been operated in Daejeon city since 2009. This study is a fundamental research to increase utilization efficiency of bike-sharing service and to decide optimal locations of bike stations. In addition this study examines characteristics of bike usage and analyzes factors affecting to demands using multiple regression model. Based on the result of examining of characteristics of bike usage, the rate of bike usage is higher compared with installation rate of public bike stations near parks in Daejeon. In addition demands of bike usage in weekend is higher than in weekday. It reveals that the main purpose of bike usage could be recreational activities. The return rate at the same location with rental station is comparatively high. Moreover, bike usage pattern is biased in specific areas (Dunsan and Yuseong) because bike-sharing stations are not equally located. As a result of multiple regression model, the factors affecting to demands are number of passengers in buses, length of bike lanes, parks, distance to waterfront, and rate of young people. A statistical significance of factors (r-square) is 0.748, which has strong relationship.
This paper researches the value of domestic telecommunication bundle products. Customers evaluate each telecommunication products differently according to their attributes. The attributes affecting the customer value of telecommunication bundling can be categorized in 3 ones as follows; corporate image, service feature, and service price. Also authors analyze the difference of importancy that customers consider when they evaluate each products, and propose the optimal scenario for bundling. In conclusion, other two companies A, C excluding B should invest more resources into the portion that strengthen the attributes of company image, and service feature to upgrade their 'corporate image', and 'service feature'. According to 6-scenarios analysis on the bundle products, the QPS expansion of company A was the most advantageous position, but if companies B, C expand DPS made use of their strengths, they can prevent from decreasing additivity rapidly with sequential scenario. The above results show that one company may have equable power in each area, but if another company having strengths in special areas makes up for its weakness and differentiates gradually it can contribute to strengthen its competitiveness. This contributed much more theoretical and practical than the existing researches. Supposing that additivity index evaluated by consumers can be changed by efforts of companies, this scenario planning is the result of study showing that the investment and publicity of each company have to be considered as its characteristic of each product at the same time.
Although the effects of climate change are universal, Small Island Developing States (SIDS) are considered to be most vulnerable. SIDS heavily rely on imported oil and fossil fuels for electricity generation and transportation, which makes them economically vulnerable and exposed to fluctuating oil price. Among the reasons SIDS highly depend on diesel fuel is due to the dispersed population living in remote islands which means, providing electricity through on on-grid system is difficult. Fiji as one of the SIDS, has actively promoted renewable sourced energy through a national plan to mitigate the impacts of climate change. In order to determine how feasible implementing a renewable energy (RE) system will be in Fiji, this study chose a remote island called Mavuva Island to test application of a hybrid RE system using HOMER. A combination of energy storage system (ESS), solar photovoltaic (PV) and diesel generator turns out to be the most cost effective and optimal configuration, resulting in effective greenhouse gas reduction for the given region.
Panax ginseng is an important medicinal plant that has been used worldwide for geriatric, tonic, stomachic, and aphrodisiac treatments. Ginsenosides contained in the ginseng root are the main substances having active functions for human body. The price of ginseng is very expensive due to a complex process of cultivation, and the yield of ginseng is limited, which cannot meet the demand of the increasing market. Researchers have applied plant biotechnology to solve the problems but there are still things to be determined towards ginsenoside production by large-scale adventitious root culture. In this experiment, 5 to 20 liter bioreactors were employed to determine optimal conditions for adventitious root culture and ginsenoside production of Panax gineng. Callus was induced from the ginseng root on MS agar medium containing 1.0 mg. $L^{-1}$ 2,4-D and 0.1 mg. $L^{-1}$ kinetin. Then the callus was cultured on MS agar medium supplemented with 2.0 mg. $L^{-1}$ IBA, 0.1 mg. $L^{-1}$ kinetin, and 30 g. $L^{-1}$ to induce adventitious roots. The maximum root growth and ginsenoside production were obtained in 1/2 MS medium. 2.0 mg. $L^{-1}$ naphthalene acetic acid resulted in greater root growth than 2.0 mg $L^{-1}$ indole-3-butyric acid. Ginsenoside content increased with 2.0 mg. $L^{-1}$ benzyl adenin or kinetin. High concentrations of benzyl adenin (above 3.0 mg. $L^{-1}$ ) decreased the adventitious root growth and ginsenoside productivity. N $H_{4}$$^{+}$ inhibited the ginsenoside accumulation, while high concentrations of $K^{+}$, $Mg_{2}$$^{+}$, and $Ca_{2}$$^{+}$ increased it. N $H_{4}$$^{+}$ at 0.5 and 1.0 times of the normal amount in 3/4 SH medium resulted in the greatest biomass increase, but the highest ginsenoside productivity was obtained when N $O_{3}$$^{-}$ was used as the sole nitrogen source in the medium. Most microelements at high concentrations in the medium inhibited the root growth, but high concentrations of MnS $O_4$enhanced the root growth. Root dry weight increased with increasing sucrose concentrations up to 50 g. $L^{-1}$ , but decreased from 70 g $L^{-1}$ Ginsenoside productivity was maximized at the range of 20 to 30 g. $L^{-1}$ sucrose. In the experiment on bioreactor types, cone and balloon types were determined to be favorable for both adventitious root growth and ginsenoside production. Jasmonic acid was effective for increasing ginsenoside contents and Rb group ginsenosides mainly increased. These results could be employed in commercial scale bioreactor cultures of Panax ginseng.x ginseng.
In recent years, dynamic collaboration (DC) among cloud providers (CPs) is becoming an inevitable approach for the widely use of cloud computing and to realize the greatest value of it. In our previous paper, we proposed a combinatorial auction (CA) based cloud market model called CACM that enables a DC platform among different CPs. The CACM model allows any CP to dynamically collaborate with suitable partner CPs to form a group before joining an auction and thus addresses the issue of conflicts minimization that may occur when negotiating among providers. But how to determine optimal group bidding prices, how to obtain the stability condition of the group and how to distribute the winning prices/profits among the group members in the CACM model have not been studied thoroughly. In this paper, we propose to formulate the above problems of cooperative negotiation in the CACM model as a bankruptcy game which is a special type of N-person cooperative game. The stability of the group is analyzed by using the concept of the core and the amount of allocationsto each member of the group is obtained by using Shapley value. Numerical results are presented to demonstrate the behaviors of the proposed approaches.
Background: Registry data from four major public hospitals indicate trends in clinical care and survival from colorectal cancer over three decades, from 1980 to 2010. Materials and Methods: Kaplan-Meier productlimit estimates and Cox proportional hazards models were used to investigate disease-specific survival and multiple logistic regression analyses to explore first-round treatment trends. Results: Five-year survivals increased from 48% for 1980-1986 to 63% for 2005-2010 diagnoses. Survival increases applied to each ACPS stage (Australian Clinico-Pathological Stage), and particularly stage C (an increase from 38% to 68%). Risk of death from colorectal cancer halved (hazards ratio: 0.50 (0.45, 0.56)) over the study period after adjusting for age, sex, stage, differentiation, primary sub-site, health administrative region, and measures of socioeconomic status and geographic remoteness. Decreases in stage were not observed. Survivals did not vary by sex or place of residence, suggesting reasonable equity in service access and outcomes. Of staged cases, 91% were treated surgically with lower surgical rates for older ages and more advanced stage. Proportions of surgical cases having adjuvant therapy during primary courses of treatment increased for all stages and were highest for stage C (an increase from 5% in 1980-1986 to 63% for 2005-2010). Radiotherapy was more common for rectal than colonic cases. Proportions of rectal cases receiving radiotherapy increased, particularly for stage C where the increase was from 8% in 1980-1986 to 60% in 2005-2010. The percentage of stage C colorectal cases less than 70 years of age having systemic therapy as part of their first treatment round increased from 3% in 1980-1986 to 81% by 1995-2010. Based on survey data on uptake of adjuvant therapy among those offered this care, it is likely that all these younger patients were offered systemic treatment. Conclusions: We conclude that pronounced increases in survivals from colorectal cancer have occurred at major public hospitals in South Australia due to increases in stage-specific survivals. Use of adjuvant therapies has increased and the patterns of change accord with clinical guideline recommendations. Reasons for sub-optimal use of radiotherapy for rectal cases warrant further investigation, including the potential for limited rural access to impede uptake of treatments at metropolitan-based radiotherapy centres.
Recent automobile manufacturing technology has improved not only the function and performance of cars, but also the audio systems in cars so as to increase their marketability. Automobile manufacturers always have the option of simply installing an expensive acoustic system to help customers enjoy a high-level sound quality car audio system. However, this also tends to increase the MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price) of the car. Therefore, it is desirable, where possible, to enhance the sound quality of plainer, less expensive audio devices to help customers feel as if they have a high-quality and expensive audio device in their car. In order to make this happen, the manufacturer must develop an optimal interior environment and audio system at a relatively lower cost. To this end, features of the car audio system can be enhanced by analyzing audio frequency response and using performance metrics to figure out the characteristics of the human auditory system. This study analyzed the sound field of Korean Recreation Vehicles (RVs) using the Internet of Things (IoT) sensor for the measurement of car audio system. As a result, high energy of sensitive bandwidth, one of the human auditory characteristics often makes annoying sound. This study also found that increasing the frequency response flatness is required by taking human auditory field into account when designing the car audio system for the future.
Yellow loess, Tidal plat sediment, and mud are blown to be high in adsorption though they have great distinction according to the ratio of clay minerals content and their kinds. Thus one of the samples for this study can be obtained by drying of Yellow loess, Tidal plat sediment, and the mud which is semifinished products that are from the progress of heat treatment and making homogeneity which can be found everywhere in our county. Another sample can be prepared by reducing pollutants with the adsorbent and by homing heavy metals of their on. With the samples, noxious heavy metals such as Pb, Cd, and essential trace elements such as Cu, Fe, Mn by each concentration is tested for adsorption according to pH, the kinds of adsorbents and the amount of injection. With the help of these steps, this study shows that the adsorbents, which are green, reducing the additional pollution and low in price, can be found. It also shows that the optimal condition for removing pollutants can be found and the basic materials for treating water can be offered. The results were as follows ; Yellow loess shows the rates of adsorption by more than 50% and Tidal plat sediment and Mud show it by more than 90%. Thus Tidal plat sediment and Mud are higher than Yellow loess the rates of adsorption. The pH should be treated in natural condition because the rates of adsorption of Pb, Cd, Cu, Mn excepting Fe in mud is higher in pH 7 than in pH 3 of Yellow loess, Tidal plat sediment, and Mud. The drying adsorbents are good to use because the rates of adsorption of heavy metals has tendency to be higher in the drying method than in the burning method. It is considered that the more the mont of the injection of the adsorbent is , the higher the rates of adsorption is, and one gram is reasonable for the amount of the injection of Tidal plat sediment and mud. Yellow loess is suitable for the treatment of the water that includes low concentration of heavy metals because it has the lower rate of adsorption as the concentration of noxious heavy metals is higher. It is thought that Tidal plat sediment and Mud is proper for the treatment of the water that includes high concentration of heavy metals because the rates of adsorption has not been changed as the concentration of heavy metals increases.

For well over 100 years, oil has enabled remote communities to generate electricity and enjoy the benefits of a consistent electrical supply. Relying solely on oil for electricity generation has left island and remote communities exposed to several risks and drawbacks. Oil-based electricity generation is often more expensive and subject to price volatility, which can result in the use of risky fuel hedging strategies. The residents of islands and remote communities express concern over the future impacts of climate change or insist on their opinions for the corresponding action with reduction of carbon emissions. These risks and drawbacks can be overcomed with continuing cost reductions in solar, wind, and energy storage technologies by maker. Reducing costs is not always a straightforward process, relying on more diversely and renewably arranged renewable energy sources led to reduced local construction cost in every situation reviewed in this study. In this paper, a convenient and simple design solution which will facilitate the optimum location and transmission route of renewable energy facility using GIS(Geographic Information System) is proposed. The suggested solutions exercised to the case of geomoon island using GIS and identified by local site survey.
The most important thing to develop real estate asset would be a feasibility study. To secure feasibility of development projects, reducing and minimizing the cost of land and construction also would be the important thing. To analyze optimal land-value for real estate development projects, I have collected 204 balance sheets of development projects in South Korea. With the help of statistical technology, I could have selected useful data from those balance sheets. After detailed analysis of statistical data, I could have reached conclusion that the most important factor to earning rate would be land cost per unit ground area under the constraint of given sale price. So far the main pattern of feasibility study of development projects was land cost and construction cost. However, by this study, I have found a new fact that construction cost has little effect to earning rate and land cost per unit ground area is the most effect to earning rate especially in residential facilities rather than commercial ones.
