This study is conducted to evaluate the effects of the mixing ratio between pork loin and chicken breast for textural and sensory properties of emulsion sausages. Meat homogenates are prepared by using five mixing ratios between pork loin and chicken breast (100:0, 70:30, 50:50, 30:70, and 0:100), and the emulsion sausages are also formulated with five mixing ratios. The additions of chicken breast increase the salt soluble protein solubility due to high pH levels of chicken breast, thereby resulting in the reduction of cooking losses. In addition, the apparent viscosity of meat homogenates increase with increasing amounts of chicken breast. In terms of emulsion sausages formulated with pork loin and chicken breast, the addition of chicken breast above 50% may contribute to a softer and more flexible texture of emulsion sausages. For sensory evaluations, an increase in the added amount of chicken breast contributes to a rich umami taste and deeper flavor within the emulsion sausages, resulting in the high overall acceptance score for the formulation of 0-30% pork loin and 70-100% chicken breast. Therefore, the optimal mixing ratios between pork loin and chicken breast are 0-30% and 70-100% for enhancing the textural and sensory properties of emulsion sausages.

The AWJM(Abrasive Water-jet Machining) technology is one of the cutting technologies, which can cut various materials with 2 or 3 times of the speed of sound. In this study, processing conditions such as jet-pressure, cutting speed, orifice diameter and stand-off distance, are used by following the design of experiments with 3 levels. Al6061 material which is normally applied on the field, is applied. Through the S/N ratio analysis with measured values, the optimization value of processing conditions to minimize the surface roughness and taper value is obtained. The order of significance is as follows; jet pressure, cutting speed, abrasive mixing ratio, orifice diameter and stand-off distance. RSM(Response Surface Method) is applied to find the optimal processing conditions to minimize both the surface roughness and the taper value by using jet pressure, cutting speed and abrasive mixing ratio.

In this study, in order to improve the mechanical properties and durability of asphalt mixtures, a modifier (CSM, Cationized Silicate Modifier) was applied to asphalt to derive optimal mixing ratio conditions. Design of asphalt mixture using modified asphalt binder was conducted, and moisture resistance and dynamic stability were evaluated for optimal mixing conditions. The evaluation results showed that it exceeded the standards stipulated in the relevant guidelines, and as a result of conducting a water permeability test on the optimal mixing condition, it was confirmed that impermeable performance was secured. As a result of examining the noise reduction performance through field test, a noise reduction performance of about 10 dB was secured compared to before paving. It will be necessary to secure reliability through continuous noise generation evaluation in the future.

Water-dispersed pigment is on-going study for without air pollution in the textile and print industry. Primer treatment is essential for the substrate to improve the printing quality of eco-friendly water-dispersed pigment ink. Otherwise in the case of untreated primer, the water-dispersed pigment ink will dry onto the surface and cause defective images. This study was conducted on film substrate coating (primer) to fix eco-friendly water-dispersed pigment ink on film substrate. The drying, bleeding, and color strength of the pigment ink were examined depending on the composition and mixing ratio of the coating solution. The mixing ratio of silica gel in the coating film is increased to 0, 0.5, 1, 2 and 3 and results that DK-1-3 of silica gel ratio of 1 showed the lowest bleeding such as 52%, the letter thickness of 0.76mm and DK-1-5 of SG ratio of 3 showed the highest bleeding such as 304%, the letter thickness of 2.02mm. The mixing ratio of SPA in the coating film is increased to 2.5, 5, 7.5, SPA ratio of 7.5 has a bleeding ratio of 9% and letter thickness of 0.544mm. It showed the closest value to 0.5mm. According to the result, the optimal mixing ratio of binder, polymer coagulant, silica gel is 100:7.5:1.
Owing to the residual toxicity and adverse health effects of chemical preservatives, there is an increasing demand for using natural preservatives in food. Although many natural extracts have been evaluated, research on their antibacterial effects remains insufficient. Therefore, this study aimed to explore the possibility of developing Psidium guajava, Ecklonia cava, and Paeonia japonica (Makino) Miyabe & Takeda extracts as natural food preservatives. Further, the effect of mixing these extracts on microbial growth and quality was evaluated during the refrigeration of sausages. Optimal mixing ratios were determined based on the minimum inhibitory and bactericidal concentrations of each mixed extract against the Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella spp. and Escherichia coli. D-optimal mixing design optimization tool was further used to obtain an optimum mixing ratio of Formulation 1 (F1). The antibacterial activity of F1 increased with increasing concentration, with similar activities at 0.5% and 1%. The sausages with synthetic or natural preservatives showed significantly lower lipid oxidation than those of the control and grapefruit extract-treated sausages after 4 wk of refrigeration. Total plate counts were observed only in the control and treatment groups stored for 3 wk, and no significant effect of ascorbic acid was observed. Compared to the other samples, sausages with added natural extracts showed the highest overall acceptability scores initially and after 4 wk. Therefore, similar amounts of grapefruit seed and natural extracts had the same effect on microbiological analysis and lipid rancidity during sausage storage. Hence, this mixture can serve as a potential natural preservative in meat products.

This research was performed to figure out the optimal mixing ratio of food- to livestock wastewater for the best degradation of organic matter in the anaerobic digestion. The presence of various microorganisms, such as Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, was also investigated in both wastewater in this process. Enteric bacteria were only found in livestock wastewater, whereas pathogenic bacteria like S. aureus were detected in both wastewater. The optimal mixing ratio of food- to livestock wastewater for the best mineralization was found to fifty to fifty, with reduction ratios of $BOD_5$, CODcr SS as 23.2%, 24.7%, 19.7%, respectively. Hygiene of the digested sludge was also analyzed by counting the number of total colonies and various pathogens. Enterobacteriaceae including E. coli were barely detected in 10 days after reaction. Meanwhile, S. aureus was gradually reduced during reaction, even showing 1,000~5,000 CFU/mL in final days.
Indium tin oxide (ITO) thin films have been deposited onto bare glass substrates by sol-gel process. The solution was prepared by mixing indium precursor and tin precursor dissolved in 2-methoxyethanol at $75^{\circ}C$ for 12 hours. Indium tin oxide films were prepared by slowly heat up to $200^{\circ}C$ for 10 minutes and annealed at $350^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour. In this paper, we researched simple and inexpensive sol-gel process. To find the optimal ratio of In/Sn to reduce electric resistance in ITO made by sol-gel process, we assessed electric properties varying the ratio of In and Sn precursor.
The supernatant treatment of recovery process of raw materials of paper plant was studied using DAF (Dissolved Air Flotation) system. We investigated the removal efficiency (COD, SS and turbidity) of the DAF process. The effects of parameters such as A/S ratio, pressure, flotation conditions, coagulant concentration, mixing conditions, size and ratio of packing and nozzle type were examined. The results showed that the optimum A/S ratio and pressure were 0.058 and 4.5-5 atm, respectively. Injection times of pressurized water around 30 s and flotation times around 10 min appeared to be optimal for the DAF operation. Anion polymer addition improved the removal of COD, SS and turbidity. The smaller size and the more packing ratio were enhanced the removal efficiencies. The order of performance of nozzle was full cone > flat > assemble type.
To recycle raw fly ash (RFA), a waste from thermal power plants, it was used to prepare solid catalysts which have many advantages compared with homogenous catalysts. When biodiesel was produced from soybean oil using RFA, only 1.2% of biodiesel conversion was obtained. A metal hydroxide, NaOH, KOH or $Ca(OH)_2$, was mixed with the acid-treated fly ash (ATFA), and the mixture was calcined at $700^{\circ}C$ for 3 h to prepare the solid catalyst. The solid catalyst prepared by mixing ATFA with NaOH, designated as SC-Na, showed a better performance than those prepared by mixing ATFA with KOH or $Ca(OH)_2$, respectively. The optimal mass ratio of ATFA with NaOH was 1:3, at which the proportion of $Na_2O$ increased to 60.2% in SC-Na, and 97.8% of biodiesel conversion was achieved under optimal reaction conditions (2 w% SC-Na relative to oil and 5 mL-methanol/g-oil at $50^{\circ}C$ for 4 h). Finally, a batch operation was repeatedly carried out to test the feasibility of reusing the solid catalyst, and more than 96% biodiesel conversion was stably achieved for the third round of operations. This study shows that RFA was successfully recycled to solid catalysts through a simple preparation method, and the solid catalyst was reused for the production of biodiesel with high conversion.
