A pilot-scale Spray Drying Sorber (SDS) system was set up to evaluate the effect of spray characteristics on the desulfurization yield. The size distribution and the Sauter Mean Diameters of slurry droplets were measured in advance using the optical size measurement system, Malvern 2600. The desulfurization yield of the drying chamber by size was measured for the conditions of inlet gas and spray injection. As a reagent, 10% limestone slurry of $Ca(OH)_2$ was treated with flue gas containing $SO_2$, and the combustion gas analyzer and gas detectors were attached to measure the $SO_2$ concentration. With a flow rate of 144 Nm3/h and a temperature range of $200{\sim}300^{\circ}C$, the experiments were performed for the Stoichiometric Ratio (SR) of 1.0 to 3.0 and droplet mean diameter of 6.5 to $34.3{\mu}m$. In case of smaller spray droplets, the desulfurization efficiency improved due to the increase of total droplet surface area, while the reduction in evaporation time reduced the contact time between the droplets and $SO_2$ gas. In some typical region of droplet diameter, this negative effect, reduction of contact time, became dominant and the desulfurization yield decreases the desulfurization yield in spite of the expansion in absorption area. These results revealed that there exists the optimal size of spray droplets for a given state, which is determined by the compromise between the total surface area of slurry droplets and the evaporation time of droplets. The measurements also indicated that the inlet temperature of flue gas changes the optimal injection condition by varying the driving force for evaporation. The results confirm that the effect of the evaporation time of slurry droplets should be considered in analyzing the desulfurization yield as well as the total surface area, for it is a significant aspect of the correlation with the capabilities of $SO_2$ absorption in wet droplets. In conclusion, the optimal condition of spray can be determined based on these results, which might be applied to design or scale-up of SDS system.
Conventional paints for conversion coating applications in steel production derived mainly from water-based polymer dispersions containing several additives actually show good general performance, but suffer from poor scratch and abrasion resistance during use. The reason for this is because the relatively soft organic binder matrix dominates the mechanical surface properties. In order to maintain the high quality and decorative function of coated steel sheets, the mechanical performance of the surface needs to be improved significantly. In fact the wear resistance should be enhanced without affecting the optical appearance of the coatings by using appropriate nanoparticulate additives. In this direction, nanocomposite coating compositions (Nanomer$^{(R)}$) have been derived from water-based polymer dispersions with an increasing amount of surface-modified nanoparticles in aqueous dispersion in order to monitor the effect of degree of filling with rigid nanoparticles. The surface of nanoparticles has been modified for optimum compatibility with the polymer matrix in order to achieve homogeneous nanoparticle dispersion over the matrix. This approach has been extended in such a way that a more expanded hybrid network has been condensed on the nanoparticle surface by a hydrolytic condensation reaction in addition to the quasi-monolayer type small molecular surface modification. It was expected that this additional modification will lead to more intensive cross-linking in coating systems resulting in further improved scratch-resistance compared to simple addition of nanoparticles with quasi-monolayer surface modification. The resulting compositions have been coated on zinc-galvanized steel and cured. The wear resistance and the corrosion protection of the modified coating systems have been tested in dependence on the compositional change, the type of surface modification as well as the mixing conditions with different shear forces. It has been found out that for loading levels up to 50 wt.-% nanoparticles, the mechanical wear resistance remains almost unaffected compared to the unmodified resin. In addition, the corrosion resistance remained unaffected even after $180^{\circ}$ bending test showing that the flexibility of coating was not decreased by nanoparticle addition. Electron microscopy showed that the inorganic nanoparticles do not penetrate into the organic resin droplets during the mixing process but rather formed agglomerates outside the polymer droplet phase resulting in quite moderate cross linking while curing, because of viscosity. The proposed mechanisms of composite formation and cross linking could explain the poor effect regarding improvement of mechanical wear resistance and help to set up new synthesis strategies for improved nanocomposite morphologies, which should provide increased wear resistance.
The role of radiology department has been greatly increased in the past few years as the technology in the medical imaging devices improved and the introduction of PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System) to the conventional film-based diagnostic structure is a truly remarkable factor to the medical history. In addition, the value of using digital information in medical imaging is highly expected to grow as the technology over the computer and the network improves. However, the current medical practice, using PACS is somewhat limited compared to the film-based conventional one due to a poor image quality. The image quality is the most important and inevitable factor in the PACS environment and it is one of the most necessary steps to more wide practice of digital imaging. The existing image quality control tools are limited in controlling images produced from the medical modalities, because they cannot display the real image changing status. Thus, the image quality is distorted and the ability to diagnosis becomes hindered compared to the one of the film-based practice. In addition, the workflow of the radiologist greatly increases; as every doctor has to perform his or her own image quality control every time they view images produced from the medical modalities. To resolve these kinds of problems and enhance current medical practice under the PACS environment, we have developed a program to display a better image quality by using the ROI optical density of the existing gray level values. When the LUT is used properly, small detailed regions, which cannot be seen by using the existing image quality controls are easily displayed and thus, greatly improves digital medical practice. The purpose of this study is to provide an easier medical practice to physicians, by applying the technology of converting the H-D curves of the analog film screen to the digital imaging technology and to preset image quality control values to each exposed body part, modality and group of physicians for a better and easier medical practice. We have asked to 5 well known professional physicians to compare image quality of the same set of exam by using the two different methods: existing image quality control and the LUT technology. As the result, the LUT technology was enormously favored over the existing image quality control method. All the physicians have pointed out the far more superiority of the LUT over the existing image quality control method and highly praised its ability to display small detailed regions, which cannot be displayed by existing image quality control tools. Two physicians expressed the necessity of presetting the LUT values for each exposed body part. Overall, the LUT technology yielded a great interest among the physicians and highly praised for its ability to overcome currently embedded problems of PACS. We strongly believe that the LUT technology can enhance the current medical practice and open a new beginning in the future medical imaging.

This study is the renovation plan for BIFF(Busan International Film Festival) street themed movies, which is an internationally known film festival. The aim of this is the regional economic vitalization. The first step of the plan sets up position through the case study of the Theme Street. The theme for each road space is related with movies and realizes the unificative images for each road. Images between the Busan Cinema Center and BUSAN MARINA are introduction of the road and the subject of this road is greeting with movies. The history of movies are printed on the pavement, some sections are made with red blocks for recollecting the red carpet. The next section from the BUSAN MARINA to MARINE CITY is set up being close with movies. In this section, sculptures of filmmaking and theme benches are installed for indirect experiences. The theme from MARINE CITY to DONGBAEK ISLANDS is playing and enjoying with movies. It is made more fun with the installation of super graphic and trick art. The theme from DONGBAEK ISLANDS to HAEUNDAE is farewell with movies. It is expressed by music on pavement and musical fountain. The last section in the theme road from HAEUNDAE to MOONTAN ROAD shows the concept memories after farewell. It is a half way to Moonten Road. The Milky Way pavement and Milky Way square are made by installing the optical fibers.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the usefulness of Surface-Guided Patient Setup by comparing the patient positioning accuracy when image-guided radiation therapy was used for Markerless patients(unmarked on the skin) using Surface-Guided Patient Setup and Marker patients(marked on the skin) using Laser-Based Patient Setup. Materials And Methods: The position error during IGRT was compared between a Markerless patient initially set up with SGPS using an optical surface scanning system using three cameras and a Marker patient initially set up with LBPS that aligns the laser with the marker drawn on the patient's skin. Both SGPS and LBPS were performed on 20 prostate cancer patients and 10 Stereotactic Radiation Surgery patients, respectively, and SGPS was performed on an additional 60 breast cancer patients. All were performed IGRT using CBCT or OBI. Position error of 6 degrees of freedom was obtained using Auto-Matching System, and comparison and analysis were performed using Offline-Review in the treatment planning system. Result: The difference between the root mean square (RMS) of SGPS and LBPS in prostate cancer patients was Vrt -0.02cm, Log -0.02cm, Lat 0.01cm, Pit -0.01°, Rol -0.01°, Rtn -0.01°, SRS patients was Vrt 0.02cm, Log -0.05cm, Lat 0.00cm, Pit -0.30°, Rol -0.15°, Rtn -0.33°. there was no significant difference between the two regions. According to the IGRT standard of breast cancer patients, RMS was Vrt 0.26, Log 0.21, Lat 0.15, Pit 0.81, Rol 0.49, Rtn 0.59. Conclusion:. As a result of this study, the position error value of SGPS compared to LBPS did not show a significant difference between prostate cancer patients and SRS patients. In the case of additionally performed SGPS breast cancer patients, the position error value was not large based on IGRT. Therefore, it is considered that it will be useful to replace LBPS with SGPS, which has the great advantage of not requiring patient skin marking..

One of the critical issues in the growth of multijunction solar cell is the formation of a highly doped Esaki interband tunnel diode which interconnects unit cells of different energy band gap. Small electrical and optical losses are the requirements of such tunnel diodes [1]. To satisfy these requirements, tens of nanometer thick gallium arsenide (GaAs) can be a proper candidate due to its high carrier concentration in low energy band gap. To obtain highly doped GaAs in molecular beam epitaxy, the temperatures of Si Knudsen cell (K-cell) for n-type GaAs and Be K-cell for p-type GaAs were controlled during GaAs epitaxial growth, and the growth rate is set to 1.75 A/s. As a result, the doping concentration of p-type and n-type GaAs increased up to $4.7{\times}10^{19}cm^{-3}$ and $6.2{\times}10^{18}cm^{-3}$, respectively. However, the obtained n-type doping concentration is not sufficient to form a properly operating tunnel diode which requires a doping concentration close to $1.0{\times}10^{19}cm^{-3}$ [2]. To enhance the n-type doping concentration, n-doped GaAs samples were grown with a lower growth rate ranging from 0.318 to 1.123 A/s at a Si K-cell temperature of $1,180^{\circ}C$. As shown in Fig. 1, the n-type doping concentration was increased to $7.7{\times}10^{18}cm^{-3}$ when the growth rate was decreased to 0.318 A/s. The p-type doping concentration also increased to $4.1{\times}10^{19}cm^{-3}$ with the decrease of growth rate to 0.318 A/s. Additionally, bulk resistance was also decreased in both the grown samples. However, a transmission line measurement performed on the n-type GaAs sample grown at the rate of 0.318 A/s showed an increased specific contact resistance of $6.62{\times}10^{-4}{\Omega}{\cdot}cm^{-2}$. This high value of contact resistance is not suitable for forming contacts and interfaces. The increased resistance is attributed to the excessively incorporated dopant during low growth rate. Further studies need to be carried out to evaluate the effect of excess dopants on the operation of tunnel diode.

A top-seeded solution growth (TSSG) is a method of growing SiC single crystal from the Si melt dissolved the carbon. In this study, multiphysics modeling was conducted using COMSOL Multiphysics, a commercialized finite element analysis package, to get analytic results about electromagnetic analysis, heat transfer and fluid flow in the Si melt. Experimental results showed good agreements with simulation data, which supports the validity of the simulation model. Based on the understanding about solution growth of SiC and our set-up, crystal growth was conducted on off-axis 4H-SiC seed crystal in the temperature range of $1600{\sim}1800^{\circ}C$. The grown layer showed good crystal quality confirmed with optical microscopy and high resolution X-ray diffraction, which also demonstrates the effectiveness of the multiphysics model to find a process condition of solution growth of SiC single crystal.

The research described here was undertaken with the aim of monitoring, optimizing and ultimately controlling the production of heterofermentative microbes used as starters in the salami industry. The use of starter cultures in the fermented meats industry is a well-established technique used to shorten and standardize the ripening process, and to improve and control the organoleptic quality of the final product. Starter cultures are obtained by the submerged cultivation of suitable microorganisms in stirred, and sometimes aerated, fermenters where monitoring of key physiological parameters such as the concentration of biomass, substrates and metabolites suffers from the general lack of real-time measurement techniques applicable to aseptic processes. In this respect, the results of the present work are relevant to all submerged fermentation processes. Previous work on the application of on-line NIR spectroscopy to the lactic acid fermentation (Dosi et al. - Monreal NIR1995) had successfully used a system based on a measuring cell included in a circulation loop external to the fermenter. The fluid handling and sterility problems inherent in an external circulation system prompted us to explore the use of an in-line system where the NIR probe is immersed in the culture and is thus exposed to the hydrodynamic conditions of the stirred and aerated fluid. Aeration was expected to be a potential source of problems in view of the possible interference of air bubbles with the measurement device. The experimental set-up was based on an in-situ sterilizable NIR probe connected to the instrument by means of an optical fiber bundle. Preliminary work was carried out to identify and control potential interferences with the measurement, in particular the varying hydrodynamic conditions prevailing at the probe tip. We were successful in defining the operating conditions of the fermenter and the geometrical parameters of the probe (flow path, positioning, etc.) were the NIR readings were reliable and reproducible. The system thus defined was then used to construct and validate calibration curves for tile concentration of biomass, carbon source and major metabolites of two different microorganisms used as salami starters. Real-time measurement of such parameters coupled with the direct interfacing of the NIR instrument with the PC-based measurement and control system of the fermenter enabled the development of automated strategies for the interactive optimization of the starter production process.

Objective : The purpose of our experimental study was to analysis the advantages and disadvantages in the reversible and irreversible cerebral ischemic models with rats by staining with Neutral Red(NR) solusion, 2% 2,3,5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride(TTC) and Hematoxylin & Eosin(H & E). Methods : We have measured the range of cerebral infarction in the rat to get a suitable ischemic model along the object of study with and without craniectomy. With craniectomy, 9 rats were sacrificed for irreversible cerebral ischemic model by means of ligation at proximal(group I) and distal(group II), and coagulation at proximal(group III) middle cerebral artery. Also, 6 rats were sacrificed for irreversible(group IV) and reversible(group V) cerebral ischemic model using nylon thread without craniectomy. The sizes of infarction were measured by staining the coronal sections of the brain with NR solusion, TTC and H & E. Results : There are no difference of physiological parameters comparing the each group. Cerebral infarction was not observed in group II, but it's volume was largest in group IV. Disadvantages of craniectomy group(I, II, III) are the long duration of operation and cortical damage by procedure. It's advantage is confirmation of the middle cerebral artery occlusion and cessation of blood flow through the operative microscope. In case of ischemic models using nylon thread (group IV, V), it is hard to identify the interruption or recirculation of blood flow through the middle cerebral artery, but the advantage is the simplicity of operative technique which reduces the operation time and minimizes the cerebral damage due to craniectomy. Therefore, it seems important to set up the reversible and irreversible ischemic models by carefully considering advantages and disadvantages listed above. Conclusion : TTC staining seems to be effective since it reflects the histological damage sufficiently and quickly. It is hoped that researches focused on ischemic penumbra, which became popular recently, will be further carried on with use of NR staining, optical microscope and electron microscope.
The physicochemical properties of starch isolated from Yullmoo (Coix lachrymajobi var. mayuen stapf.) and Yeomjoo (Coix lachryma-jobi L.) were investigated. The average diameters of starch granules of Yullmoo and Yeomjoo were 12.0 microns, both of all, and the shape of these starch granules were hexagon, octagon and round. X-ray diffraction patterns of two samples were A-types and amylose contents of Yullmoo and Yeomjoo starch were 0% and 23%, respectively, iodine affinities of these were 0.08% and 4.2%, respectively, blue values and alkali numbers of these were 0.13 and 0.43, 2.4 and 7.2, and raising power of these were 280 and 20, respectively. Yullmoo starch had higher swelling power than Yeomjoo starch. The increase in optical transmittance of 0.1% suspensions of Yullmoo and Yeomjoo starches occurred at $60^{\circ}C$ and continued up to $75^{\circ}C$ for Yullmoo, $85^{\circ}C$ for Yeomjoo. Amylogram data on 5% of Yullmoo and Yeomjoo starch suspensions showed that gelatinization temperatures and maximum peak heights of Yullmoo and Yeomjoo were $68.5^{\circ}C\;and\;78^{\circ}C$, 920 and 310 B.U., respectiyely. Intrinsic viscosities of Yullmoo and Yeomjoo starches were 1.49 and 1.77, respectively, and interaction coefficients of the two starches were 0.57 and 0.56, respectively The extent of retrogradation determined at $2^{\circ}C$ showed that retrogradation occurred slowly with Yullmoo starch paste tut little with Yullmoo.

제 5 장 계약 해지 및 이용 제한
제 15 조 (계약 해지)

제 16 조 (서비스 이용제한)
① 당 사이트는 회원이 서비스 이용내용에 있어서 본 약관 제 11조 내용을 위반하거나, 다음 각 호에 해당하는
경우 서비스 이용을 제한할 수 있습니다.
- 2년 이상 서비스를 이용한 적이 없는 경우
- 기타 정상적인 서비스 운영에 방해가 될 경우
② 상기 이용제한 규정에 따라 서비스를 이용하는 회원에게 서비스 이용에 대하여 별도 공지 없이 서비스 이용의
일시정지, 이용계약 해지 할 수 있습니다.
제 17 조 (전자우편주소 수집 금지)
회원은 전자우편주소 추출기 등을 이용하여 전자우편주소를 수집 또는 제3자에게 제공할 수 없습니다.
제 6 장 손해배상 및 기타사항
제 18 조 (손해배상)
당 사이트는 무료로 제공되는 서비스와 관련하여 회원에게 어떠한 손해가 발생하더라도 당 사이트가 고의 또는 과실로 인한 손해발생을 제외하고는 이에 대하여 책임을 부담하지 아니합니다.
제 19 조 (관할 법원)
서비스 이용으로 발생한 분쟁에 대해 소송이 제기되는 경우 민사 소송법상의 관할 법원에 제기합니다.
[부 칙]
1. (시행일) 이 약관은 2016년 9월 5일부터 적용되며, 종전 약관은 본 약관으로 대체되며, 개정된 약관의 적용일 이전 가입자도 개정된 약관의 적용을 받습니다.
