A Study on the Vibration Characteristics in Ultrasonic Levitation System according to the Circular Plate (원형 플레이트 형태에 따른 초음파 부상 장치의 진동특성에 관한 연구)

  • In the semiconductor and optical industry the non-contact transportation is required for reducing the damages. The ultrasonic levitation is the solution of the problem. In this paper, the ultrasonic levitation system and 3 disk-type stator for levitation various object are proposed. The vibration modes of disks are analyzed with FEM and designed with the analysis results. The 3D vibration profiles of the disks are measured by Laser scanning vibrometer for verifying the vibration characteristics of the system. The amplitudes of the disks and the levitation heights of object are measured for evaluating the performance.

  • 비선형성을 가지는 실제 플랜트의 제어기를 설계하기 위해서는 플랜트와 외부환경에 대한 충분한 정보를 필요로 한다. 그러나, 제어기 설계 시에는 실제 플랜트의 수학적 해석의 어려움, 모델링 오차와 외란 등의 원인으로 고려해야 할 복잡한 사항들이 있다. 이를 해결 하기 위한 기존 연구로는 플랜트에 대한 시스템 식별과 선형화를 통하여 공칭모델을 선정하고, 이를 제어하는 Model-based 방법과 모델이 아닌 실제 플랜트의 입출력 데이터를 토대로 제어기의 게인들을 반복 조절하는 Model-free 방법 등이 있다. 본 논문에서는 Model-free 방법 중에 하나인 반복 게인 조절 알고리즘을 기반으로 이 방법의 단점인 수렴속도지연을 보상하기 위한 목적으로 Model-based 방법 중에 하나인 외란 관측기(Disturbance Observer)를 결합한 새로운 제어 알고리즘을 제안하고, ODD(Optical Disk Drive)에서 사용되는 플 랜트에 적용한 모의 실험을 통하여 그 유용성을 보였다.

  • We present the infrared spectra of Herbig Ae/Be stars including the Infrared Space Ob-servatory (ISO) data. To investigate the overall properties of their circumstellar dust envelope and/or disk, we combine the IR spectra with photometric data ranging from the UV through the optical into the sub-mm region. We study the general characteristics of the spectral energy distributions using simple analysis. We plot the positions on the HR-diagram to compare with the theoretical pre-main-sequence evolution tracks.

  • In this paper, we have investigated the disc warping in high-speed slim-type optical disc drive. The track density as well as high rotational speed of the information storage devices must be increased to enhance their recording capacity and data transfer rate. Generally, ODD used in the Lap-top computer has small inner space. So, the flow instability of the inner space is increased rapidly with its rotational speed. In extreme case, the flow instability may cause the malfunction of the read/write pick-up of drives. The experiments and numerical analysis were carried out for several cases and the result shows the influence of airflow to the disc warping.

Photonic Glucose Sensor Using a Vertically Coupled Polymeric Microdisk Resonator (수직 결합형 폴리머 마이크로디스크 공진기를 이용한 광학적 글루코스 센서)

  • A glucose biosensor using a microdisk resonator in polymeric waveguides was developed by observing either the shift in the resonant wavelength or the variation in the optical power. The deformation in the transfer curve of the vertically coupled resonator sensor resulting from the variation in the disk-to-ring coupling, which was incurred by the application of the target analyze, was suppressed. And the refractive index of the polymeric waveguide was devised to closely follow that of the analyze itself for enhancing the sensitivity of the sensor. The sensitivity and measurement range were observed to be respectively 0.14 pm/(mg/dL) and 1500 mg/dL (theoretically up to 4700 mg/dL, for the wavelength shift method and 0.04 dB/(mg/dU and 140 mg/dL the power variation scheme.

  • 광 디스크의 용량을 증가시기키 위해선, 레이저 다이오드의 단파장화와 렌즈의 개구수 증가가 수년 동안 시도되어왔다. 불행히도 이러한 노력들은 디스크 틸트(tilt)로 인해 야기되는 코마(coma) 수차로 인한 부작용을 유발하였다. 이런 문제를 해결하기 위해, 램(random access memory, RAM) 디스크의 경우 몇 가지 검출과 보상 방법이 제안되었다. 그러나, 롬(read only memory, ROM) 디스크의 경우 아직까지 뚜렷한 해결책이 제시되지 않고 있다. 본 논문에서는 8분할 광 검출기에 의해 생성되는 차동 위상 검출(differential phase detection, DPD) 신호를 이용한 고밀도 롬 디스크에서 래디얼(radial) 틸트를 검출하는 방법을 제안한다. 3축 렌즈 구동형 액츄에이터(actuator)를 이용하여 개발한 래디얼 틸트 서보로 검출된 래디얼 틸트를 보상한다. 액츄에이터의 회전이 트래킹(tracking) 서보(servo)에 미치는 영향을 소개한다. 끝으로 제안된 방법의 유용성을 고밀도 롬 드라이브에 대한 실험을 통해 검증한다.

  • 최근에 광 디스크 기기의 고배속화에 따라서 디스크의 재생 속도는 점차로 증가하고 있다. 이러한 경향에 따라 트랙킹 제어 루프에서 나타나는 디스크의 편심에 의한 외란의 영향은 더욱 커지게 되므로 기존의 선형 제어기만으로는 디스크의 편심량이 큰 경우에 고배속에서 원하는 트랙 추종 성능을 얻을 수가 없다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 반복 학습 제어 알고리즘과 드라이브 시스템의 액츄에이터의 주파수 응답 특성을 이용한 새로운 트랙 추종 제어 방법을 제안한다. 또한, 제안된 트랙 추종 제어 시스템의 제어 성능을 실험을 통하여 검증하여 본다.

  • This paper proposes a small VCM (Voice coil motor) type actuator using curved suspensions for auto-focusing and zoom motions for mobile information devices. 1'he proposed focusing actuator adopts a nontraditional type of suspension using curved beams in order to extend output displacement within small height restriction. The curved beam is similar to the leaf spring type which is usually used in optical disk drives. In addition, three different materials are considered for the curved suspension model, and Aluminum shows the best dynamic characteristics. The proposed zoom actuator does not use a suspension supporting bobbin but a moving rail and a sloper mechanism by generating rotational force at lens holder. The sensitivity of design parameters on output performance is studied using ANSYS (3D FEM tool). Experiments using a prototype of the proposed actuator model verified the analytical prediction and performance.

  • In this paper, vibration suppression of a CD-ROM main base with piezoelectric shunt circuit is studied. Admittance is introduced to predict the performance of piezoelectric shunt damping. Numerical admittance obtained by commercial finite element code, ANSYS, correlates well with experimentally measured one. Multi-mode piezoelectric shunt damping is realized based on the target mode and frequencies obtained by the admittance analysis. Experimental results prove that admittance of the piezoelectric structure is capable of predicting the performance of piezoelectric shunt damping and the vibration of the main base with the piezoelectric patches is reduced effectively.

  • As a standard of optical disk drive (ODD) was determined to Blu-ray diks (BD), researches for securing slim drive thickness, high data transfer rate and high capacity have been progressed. The actuator for applying BD is also required to have high performances, such as compatibility, slim thickness and 3-axis motion. In this paper, an asymmetric dual lens actuator is proposed to satisfy abovementioned performances. To design the actuator in a limited space, stress analysis and design of experiment (DOE) are performed to reduce weight of moving part and increase driving force and flexible mode frequency. Consequently, the final model, which is satisfied with specifications, is secured.
