Objectives: The aim of this study was to assess the influence of operator experience level on the lifespan of the WaveOne Primary file (Dentsply Maillefer, Ballaigues, Switzerland) in extracted teeth. Materials and Methods: Moderately curved canals of extracted maxillary and mandibular molars were randomly distributed into 2 groups: experienced and inexperienced operators. Ten files were allocated to each group (n = 10). Each canal was prepared until the working length was reached, and the same file was used to prepare additional canals until it separated. The number of canals prepared before file separation was recorded. The fragment length of each file was measured, and the location of the fragment in the canal was determined. Data were statistically analysed using the independent 2-sample t-test. Results: The 2 operators prepared a total of 324 moderately curved canals of maxillary and mandibular molars. There was no significant intergroup difference in the mean number of canals prepared (p = 0.27). The average lifespan of the WaveOne Primary file was 17.1 and 15.3 canals, and the longest lifespan was 25 and 20 canals, when used by experienced and inexperienced operators, respectively. There were no statistically significant intergroup differences in separated fragment length and location. Conclusions: Within the limitations of this study, operator experience level appears to have no effect on the lifespan of the WaveOne Primary file in preparation of moderately curved canals. Single teeth with multiple canals can be prepared safely even by a novice operator by using a single file.

The safety of the ship manoeuver is dependent not only on the inherent characteristics of the ship itself and environmental conditions, but also on the skill and experience of the ship operator. As the ship operator's judgement is related to his experience and skill, based on outside information, piloted controllability also depends upon the effectiveness, accuracy and reliability of various information which is obtainable from navigational equipments and aids to navigation that are available to the ship ope-rator. Although these factors, human factors and informational factors, have been pointed out as major factors which affect the controllability of a ship, there was no a comprehensive examination on the effect of these two factors. In this thesis, therefore, an attempt was made to examine whether or not there is clear indication that these two factors affect the controllability of a ship in reality. Experiments were conducted using the port design simulator of the Korea Maritime University.

This paper presents a reliable H$\infty$ controller design for singularly perturbed systems by the delta operator approach that guarantees stability with a known H$\infty$ norm bound in case of failures in some control channels. Prespecified are the control channels that may experience failures. Sensor outage is covered in this paper It is shown that the delta systems have improved finite wort length characteristics in the example.

Using data gathered from expert opinion of plant and equipment professionals; this paper presents the key variables that may constitute a maintenance proficient plant operator. The Multivariate Discriminant Analysis (MDA) was applied to generate data and was tested for sensitivity analysis. Results showed that the MDA model was able to classify plant operators' proficiency at 94.10 percent accuracy and determined nine (9) key variables of a maintenance proficient plant operator. The key variables included: i) number of years of experience as equipment operator (PQ1); ii) eye-hand coordination (PQ9); iii) eye-hand-foot coordination (PQ10); iv) planning skills (TE16); v) pay/wage (MQ1); vi) work satisfaction (MQ4); vii) operator responsibilities as defined by management (MF1); viii) clear management policies (MF4); and ix) management pay scheme (MF5). The classification procedure of nine variables formed the general model with the equation viz: OMP (general) = 0.516PQ1 + 0.309PQ9 + 0.557PQ10 + 0.831TE16 + 0.8MQ1 + 0.0216MQ4 + 0.136MF1 + 0.28MF4 + 0.332MF5 - 4.387

A human operator has the ability to control a complicated system such as a gantry crane, an aircraft and a remote manipulator after enough training and learning. In this article, we attempt the positioning experiment of a flexible arm by a human operator. Flexible arm has nonlinearlity and infinite-degrees of freedom in general; thus it is difficult to obtain a control input. The operator interprets a given task and finds the procedure of operations. He devises an effective way of achieving the goal on the basis of his experience and knowledge about the task.

The importance of human resources empowerment for operation and management is increasing for sustainable effects and improvement in mountain eco village development projects. This study aimed to understand the cognition characteristics of operator who works for mountain eco villages as part of the mountain village development and to suggest improvement methods in empowerment training aspects. The survey contained operator's empowerment and operator systems in mountain eco villages and the results were analyzed for the study. Operators who joined the mountain eco village operator training course by Korea Forest Service were conducted the survey on March 12th~13th in 2012 and March 13th~15th in 2013. 69 and 58 of questionnaires were collected respectively and analyzed for the study. T-test was applied to Intergroup cognition difference and regression analysis was used for influential factors in necessity of operator's role. Collected data was analyzed by statistical package programme SPSS 18.0 version. According to the comparison of empowerment cognition with contingent upon training experience, 'harmony with residents' showed significantly difference at p<0.05 level. In the recognition comparison for prospect of future mountain eco village development, 'various training experiences' was significantly difference at p<0.01 level between positive and negative prospect group. Regression analysis revealed that 'communication with village leader', 'harmony with residents', and 'idea related to the project' have an effect on necessity of operator's empowerment significantly. Based on the results, the study suggests improved directions for operator's empowerment training as a horizontal leader who conduces a mountain village.

Questionnaire survey has been made for the above study. First, 65 question sheets have been distributed to railway operators and 55 sheets of them have been collected from them. SPSS 12.0 program package has been used to analyze those sheets concerning age, experience, school, background as a frequency analysis and t-test has been made to find out recognition level difference of a cheer response, depending on the operator's experience. T-verification has been made for two groups such as less than 10 years, and 10 years or more experience. Result from correlation analysis showed that there was no difference due to operators' experience.

본 연구는 정기항공사 소속 조종사들을 대상으로 그들의 비행경력과 운항능력에 대한 실증연구를 하였다. 첫째, 정기항공사 소속 조종사들의 비행경력(비행시간 및 기종)에 따른 운항능력의 차이를 분석하였다. 이를 통해 신규로 항공운송용 조종사로 진입하고자 하는 인력들에 대해 항공사가 기대하는 조종사의 운항능력의 수준을 검증할 수 있었다. 분석결과 기장의 경우 해당기종 비행시간이 500시간이든 1500시간이든 시계비행 운항심사 결과 간의 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 부기장은 1,500시간 이상부터는 시계비행 운항심사 결과의 차이가 나타났다. 부기장은 기장과 달리 해당기종 비행시간을 많이 가질수록 안정적인 시계접근을 할 수 있음이 판명된 것이다. 기종특성과 관련하여 cable 또는 fly-by-wire 기종에 따라 기장 집단은 시계비행 운항능력의 차이가없었다. 즉, 시계접근의 경우는 기종에 관계없이 기장급 조종사의 기량이 평가된다고 할 수 있겠다. 부기장집단에서는 기종 특성에 따른 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 판명되었다.

This paper is a feasibility study on the calculation of operating cost in regards to the overall operation following the completion of a number of LRT lines currently in progress. Owing to the absence of operating experience in driveless LRT system at home, the difficulties lie in the assumption of the optimal operating budget applying domestic real situation. Nevertheless, with 34 years of accumulated operating experience in heavy rail transit system, Seoul Metro, the nation's biggest urban rail transit operator, performs O&M consultancy services for several on-going projects along with every effort to acquire know-how where the appropriateness of the cost estimation as a required deliverable is reviewed and a more efficient way is provided. The main focus of this study is to seek a method to calculate the optimal amount of operating expenses as well as a cost-effective alternative for possible weaknesses from the standpoint of the operator. The body of this paper discusses the five issues such as personnel cost, overhead, maintenance cost, additional purchase price, alternative investment fee from a more macroscopic point of view, and the conclusion deals with the adequacy of the reason for selection of institutions with various operating know-how.

It is important to understand the factors that affect the business performance of insect farm for continuous insect farm management. The purpose of this study is to investigate factors influencing the business performance of insect farm. For this study, 1,577 questionnaires were collected through a telephone survey targeting insect farm owner. As a result of analysis using linear multiple regression analysis, the factors affecting total sales were gender, age, business experience, number of workers, and national and local government support projects. The factors affecting the net profit rate were age, business experience, number of workers, national and local government support projects, and education. When the gender of the business operator is male, it only affected the increase in total sales, and it was found that both the total sales amount and the net profit margin increased with the younger the business operator's age.
