Korea has gradually been developing port distriparks in major domestic trade ports to diversify their function and create added-value. New tenant companies are needed to help achieve these goals, but no research has been done on selection criteria. To provide such criteria, this study conducted a comparative analysis of the productivity of tenant companies in Busan New Port Distripark based on their characteristics. SFP (single-factor productivity) was measured using the operational data of 67 companies in the distripark over the past - three years (2017-2019). The results indicate that the logistics business and the manufacturing business have strengths in cargo volume productivity and in sales productivity respectively. Also, Northern distripark, a relatively older facility, was found to be more productive than Ung-dong distripark. Finally, the effect of investment-both foreign and in FAC/EQ (facility and equipment)-on productivity showed an inverse relationship with productivity, with the companies with under-average investments being more productive than those whose investments were above average. Therefore, to enhance the productivity and competitiveness of port distriparks, tenant companies must be subject to supplemented system and law for increasing employment and cargo volume, and reestablished selection criteria.
This study was carried out in order to reduce the amount of sawdust for recycling the generated manure from livestock farms, and to investigate the effects on the reducing usage of sawdust and quality of produced compost. To do this, a cylindrical horizontal composting device were used in the experiments and compost was analyzed for judging produce compost quality. The experiment was carried out separately under different cases of operational control conditions. The first case was produced by using sawdust and pig manure mixture(Test-1); the second case was produced by using sawdust, pig manure and the previously produced compost(Test-2). In the second case, Except for some heavy metal content, The water content and C/N ratio were found to be suitable for fertilizer process specification of the RDA(Rural Development Administration) and it was found to reduce the sawdust 1.25tons usage.
In the case of small-scale sewage treatment plants, it is reported that the amount of inflow fluctuates and it is difficult to operate the sewage treatment due to the inflow of unknown water due to the aging of sewage pipes. In particular, there are many overall operational problems due to the decrease in water temperature in winter. In this study, the operation status of small-scale sewage treatment facilities located in mountainous areas and water quality changes according to temperature were analyzed. It was found that the concentration of BOD, COD, and SS in effluent water was greatly changed depending on the temperature, and it was found that COD was particularly affected. Accordingly, the water level of the bioreactor was raised by 0.4m in order to temporarily apply measures to lower the water temperature in winter. As a result of comparing and analyzing the results when the bioreactor was covered and operated, a significant improvement effect occurred. In addition, a plan to improve the treatment efficiency of the bioreactor in winter is to extend the residence time of the bioreactor, a plan to expand the bioreactor specification, a new flow control tank and transport it to the outside, and an oxygen-free air diffuser to be used as an aerobic tank in case of an emergency in winter. The improvement plan was suggested. The results of this study are expected to be used as basic data for the operation plan of small-scale sewage treatment facilities in winter.
This paper discusses a methodology where an integrated modelling framework is used to quantify the risk derived from anthropic activities on habitats and species. To achieve this purpose, a tool comprising the Delft3D and HABITAT model, was applied in the Yeongsan river. Delft3D effectively simulated the operational condition and flow of weirs in river. In accuracy evaluation of the Delft3D-FLOW, the Bias, Pbias, Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Nash-Sutcliffe Efficiency (NSE), and Index of Agreement (IOA) were used, and the result was evaluated as grade above 'Satisfactory'. The HABITAT calculated Habitat Suitability Value (HSV) for the following eight species: mammal, fish, aquatic plant, and benthic macroinvertebrate. An Area was defined as a suitable habitat if the HSV was larger than 0.5. HABITAT was judged accurately by measuring the Correct Classification rate (CCR) and the area under the ROC curve (AUC). For benthic macroinvertebrate, the CCR and AUC were 77% and 0.834, respectively, at thresholds of 0.017 and 4 inds/m2 for HSV and individuals per unit area. This meant that the HABITAT model accurately predicted the appearance of the benthic macroinvertebrates by approximately 77% and that the probability of false alarms was also very low. As a result of evaluating the suitability of habitats, in the Yeongsan river, if the annual "lowest level" (Seungchon weir: 2.5 EL.m/ Juksan weir: -1.35 EL.m) was maintained, the average habitat improvement effect of 6.5%P compared to the 'reference' scenario was predicted. Consequently, it was demonstrated that the integrated modelling framework for habitat suitability assessment is able to support the remedy aquatic ecological management.
The purpose of this study was to explore the regulations and operational problems of on-board training, and to investigate and analyze the satisfaction level of consignment on-board training among students who completed their training at Korea Maritime & Ocean University. In terms of satisfaction differences by gender, female students generally had a higher relative satisfaction level than male students. The different types of satisfaction in the navigation and engineering categories, the overall practical effect and satisfaction level of the training records shows that the satisfaction level of the trainee is much lower than that of the trainee, so relevant educational institutions and shipping companies need to take measures to improve the satisfaction level of this part. The most important part of the comprehensive company evaluation completed by trainees asked whether they thought the training was equivalent in labor to the employees. Results suggest shipping companies must make a clear distinction between employees and trainees, while establishing relevant internal procedures so that the on-board training process can be carried out in accordance with the purpose of the on-board training consignment.
Environmental impact assessment (EIA) practitioners play a very pivotal role in establishing EIA policies, and when implementing EIA environmental conflicts can be prevented and resolved by sharing information with stakeholders and coordinating opinions. For this reason, grasping the perceptions of stakeholders including practitioners about the overall system, such as EIA policies and implementation, can be helpful in setting improvement directions and policy directions for EIA. However, there is an insufficient information on the perception and understanding of stakeholders about the EIA system and operation currently in effect in Korea. Therefore, this study diagnoses operational and procedural problems for the EIA system, which is a decision-making tool and a precautionary technique that can minimize adverse effects through the environmental information analysis method, and improvement points and systems of the EIA system in the future. We tried to find a complement of an online survey of 37 questions, responses from 95 responses from stakeholders of EIA were summarized. Stakeholders were aware of the problems of the operation of the current system and the preparation of the evaluation form, and this was reflected. Period and cost of preparation of EIS (49%), the introduction of a new method (26%) and the items of collecting opinions and conflict management (41%), which showed high negative response rates (dissatisfied and very dissatisfied), are considered to be areas that we need to supplement further in the future. As society develops rapidly, the system needs to be supplemented accordingly, and policy improvement efforts are needed for items with high negative responses as a result of the survey.

The purpose of Electronic warfare is to disturbe, neutralize, attack, and destroy the opponent's electronic warfare weapon system or equipment. Suppression of Enemy Air Defense (SEAD) mission is aimed at incapacitating, destroying, or temporarily deteriorating air defense networks such as enemy surface-to-air missiles (SAMs), which is a representative mission supported by electronic warfare. This paper develops a simulator for analyzing the effectiveness of SEAD missions under electronic warfare support using C++ language based on the DEVS (Discrete Event Systems Specification) model, the usefulness of which has been proved through case analysis with examples. The SEAD mission of the friendly forces is carried out in parallel with SSJ (Self Screening Jamming) electronic warfare under the support of SOJ (Stand Off Jamming) electronic warfare. The mission is assumed to be done after penetrating into the enemy area and firing HARM (High Speed Anti Radiation Missile). SAM response is assumed to comply mission under the degraded performance due to the electronic interference of the friendly SSJ and SOJ. The developed simulator allows various combinations of electronic warfare equipment specifications (parameters) and operational tactics (parameters or algorithms) to be input for the purpose of analysis of the effect of these combinations on the mission effectiveness.
This study, through the potential research variables constituting smartphine shopping utilization, affects to some extent the social relevance and rapid adaptability of technology according to the cognitive age level perceived by customers. Research hypotheses and research models were established and tested to verify the research results on how they affect brand loyalty within the segmented market to which they belong. The purpose of this study is as follows. First, it was verified through the degree of casual relationship between smartphone shopping usage and potential research variables of innovation, convenience, usefulness, and hedonism that compose it, on the cognitive age level. Second, according to the cognitive age level perceived by customers themselves, it was verified through the degree of casual relationship between the mediators of social relevance and technology quick adaptability. Third, the casual relationship between social relevance, technology quick adaptability, and brand loyalty was verified according to the cognitive age level. Fourth, a theoretical study was conducted on the conceptual and operational definitions of the research variables of the research model of this study.
In this study, we analyzed the effects of trees planted in urban areas on PM2.5 reduction using a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model. For realistic numerical simulations, the meteorological components(e.g., wind velocity components and air temperatures) predicted by the local data assimilation and prediction system (LDAPS), an operational model of the Korea Meteorological Administration, were used as the initial and boundary conditions of the CFD model. The CFD model was validated against, the PM2.5 concentrations measured by the sensor networks. To investigate the effects of trees on the PM2.5 reduction, we conducted the numerical simulations for three configurations of the buildings and trees: i) no tree (NT), ii) trees with only drag effect (TD), and iii) trees with the drag and dry-deposition effects (DD). The results showed that the trees in the target area significantly reduced the PM2.5 concentrations via the dry-deposition process. The PM2.5 concentration averaged over the domain in DD was reduced by 5.7 ㎍ m-3 compared to that in TD.

The Lao government is continuously developing hydro-power dams in addition to the existing eight power plants in the Nam Ngum River basin and is expanding the power capacity of the existing power plants to meet the expected increase in electricity demand. Accordingly, the Lao government has requested an update on the existing reservoir operating rule curve in order to run the power plants efficiently. To this end, this study reviewed the current independent operating system as well as the joint operating system in order to maximize the annual power generation produced by a power plant by using CSUDP, general-purpose dynamic programming (DP) software. The appropriate operating regulation curve forms (URC/LRC, MRC) were extracted from the DP results, and the annual power generations were simulated by inputting them as the basic operating data of the reservoir operation set of the HEC-ResSim program. By synthesizing the amount of the annual power generation simulated, the existing operation regulation curve, the operational performance, and the opinion of the field operator, the optimal reservoir operation regulation curves that maximize the annual power generation of the target power plant were developed. Results revealed that a system operating in conjunction with the reservoir produces about 2.5 % more power generation than an independent reservoir due to the synergistic effect of the connection.
