  • The main subject to become a hub port is automation. The automated container terminal has already operated in advanced ports and it has been planned for the basic planning and operation design in domestic case. The key of automated container terminal is effective operation of both ATC(automated transfer crane) and AGV(automated guided vehicle) which is automated handling equipments. This is essential to productivity of automated container terminal. This study suggests the most optimal method of equipment operation in order to minimize loading time using each three types of effective ATC operation methods and AGV dispatching rules in automated container terminals. As the automated equipment operation causes unexpected deadlocks or interferences, it should be proceeded on event-based real time. Therefore we propose the most effective ATC operation methods and AGV dispatching rules in this paper. The various states occurred in real automated container terminals are simulated to evaluate these methods. This experiment will show the most robust automated equipment operation method on various parameters(the degree of yard re-marshaling, the number of containers and AGV)

  • Current sharing between modules in a converter parallel operation is very important for the reliability of the system. This paper proposes an improved droop method that can effectively improve current sharing accuracy. The proposed method adaptively adjusts the output voltage set-point of each module according to the current set-points. Unlike conventional droop control, modules share a signal line to communicate with each other. Nevertheless, since signals are simple and in digital form, the complexity of the circuitry is much less and noise immunity is much better than those of conventional methods utilizing communication. The operation principle and design procedure of the proposed method are described in detail. Results of the experiment on two boost converters operating in parallel under the specification of a TFT LCD TV panel power supply verify the validity of the proposed scheme.

  • A boolean algebra method for computing the reliability in a communication network is prosented. Given the set of all simple paths between two nodes in a network, the terminal reliability can be symbolically computed by the Boolean operation which is named parallel operation. The method seems to be promising for both oriented and nonoriented network.

  • Present time there are many risk analysis method in the world. A hazard is an exposure that has the potential to induce and adverse event. Risk is the probability of an adverse event given exposure to hazard. The evaluation of scientific information on the hazardous properties of environmental agents and the extent of exposure to these agents. But operation risk analysis method is not enough for manufacturing industry even if it is existence, it will be separated to improve Safety. In this paper, I will develop the AHP Weighted operation risk analysis method to improve Safety.

  • It is hard to find an operation case using anti-submarine searching pattern(ASSP) developed by Korean navy since Korean navy has begun submarine searching operation. This paper proposes the method to develop hull mount sonar(HMS) based optimal submarine searching pattern by using genetic algorithm. Developing the efficient ASSP based on theory in near sea environment has been demanded for a long time. Submarine searching operation can be executed by using ma ulti-step and multi-layed method. however, In this paper, we propose only HMS based ASSP generation method considering the ocean environment and submarine searching tactics as a step of first research. The genetic algorithm, known as a global opination method, optimizes the parameters affecting efficiency of submarine searching operation. Finally, we confirm the performance of the proposed ASSP by simulation.

  • 5678SMRT (Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Co) by a ATC/ATO system the other side which is operated with an automatic movement with a manual operation, the Seoul subway 1.2 lines ATS and 3.4 lines adopt a ATC method and they are operated. But it is improving progressively in SMRT railway ATO method. The ATO the operation method leads exchange of information of wayside and train system for and it is possible, the TWC system configuration is becoming wayside and train system and the radio antenna. It discussed the equipment for a TWC system and a automatic operation from the dissertation which it sees. It investigated a data exchange, a message format and an interface control method and it joined in and a system maintenance conservative method it discussed.

  • An optimal operation method based on weighted efficiency for a two-stage boost converter is proposed in this study. Detailed loss analysis of the converter is performed to derive the optimal operation method according to the load and input voltage fluctuations, and the optimal DC-bus voltage is derived by applying the weighted efficiency method. The proposed method can satisfy optimal efficiency in the main operation region without a complicated control method. Using 1kW typical two-stage boost converter and is verified three types of weighted efficiency formulas and loss analysis are utilized to derive high-efficiency optimal DC-bus voltage from each load range.

  • In the plant industry, the share of equipment accounts for 45 ~ 75%, which is very high. It is a traditional plant centered on processes and reactions like petroleum and chemical plants. Renewable energy generation plants such as wind power generation and solar power generation are equipment-centric plants. Equipment-centric plants are very important not only in the EPC phase but also in the operation and management phase. The procurement of equipment for plant operation and management can be divided into make and buy. Make is a method of producing equipment itself, and buy is a method of procuring equipment from the outside. The procurement method of the equipment directly affects the plant operation and management cost. In this study, the decision making of equipment procurement method for plant operation and management is defined as 4 phase. Each phase is selection of procurement decision-making objects, technology strategy perspective, finance perspective, and production perspective. In detail, we defined selection process of procurement decision-making objects and technology strategy perspective process. We will contribute to the enhancement of the competitiveness of the plant operation and management area by carrying out researches on the process and application examples of financial and production perspectives in the future.

  • A total knee replacement is an extremely 'position-sensitive' operation; a malposition or a malalignment of the components will lead to a breakage of the component, a fracture around the knee prosthesis, and the limitation of range of the motion, etc. In a conventional total knee replacement, surgeons have to select an appropriate prosthesis according to the shape of the surgical region. A wrong selection may give rise to side effects or to need re-operation. Nevertheless, it is so difficult to choose the most proper prosthesis out of various kinds of prosthesis. This paper presents a surgical planning system for the total knee replacement with an operation simulating method in order to determine the parameters for the total knee replacement operation. We select an alignment axis and a resection angle as major operation parameters in the total knee replacement operation, and introduce the method to determine the major operation parameters with the operation simulator we developed. The simulator is used to determine operation parameters for optimized operations, to select the most appropriate prosthesis, and to analyze the prospective problems of the operation.

  • During severe emergencies which result in insufficient generation to meet load, an automatic load shedding method considering the spinning and operating reserve can establish the optimum system operation. This paper presents methods and results of a study on the optimum operating scheme with spinning and operating reserve power in case of outage of large generator units to prevent frequency decay and continue stable operation. This study covers following three parts 1) Analysis of spinning reserve characteristics 2) Determination of operating reserve requirements 3) Development of the optimum load shedding programs By this study the optimum system operating method was recommended for reliable operation of power system.
