  • Many servers that is operated in present earth are UNIX base, is trend that server of LINUX base is increasing steadily recently. When users who have account to this server wish to do remote access, instruction that use most easily is‘telnet’, security does not consist entirely about ID and password that this uses at communication substance as well as login. The interest about latest SSH is rising by the alternative, but SSH has various kinds problem in following telnet's fame. Therefore, We studied about problems and the solution that can happen when window users attempted remote access laying stress on OpenSSH.

  • This paper proposes 3D visualization systems for the real-time situation awareness and a state information of the aircraft. This system was embodied with OpenGL and the Google Earth of web base using situation data of the aircraft. The existing system has problem which speed decrease and visible restricted map because massive data of terrain and satellite photo. This system is supports the visualization tool which is economic and entire area for a real-time situation awareness with minimum flight information using Open-API of the Google Earth. Also provides a visible convenience to expansion-view using multiple location information. This research result could be used to system for the situation awareness of the aircraft from web environment.

  • The inelastic earthquake response of existing, reinforced concrete buildings with an open ground story, designed according to the old Greek codes, is investigated before and after their seismic strengthening with steel braces restricted to the open ground stories. The seismic performance evaluation is based on Part 3 of Eurocode 8 for assessment and retrofitting of buildings. Three and five-story, symmetric and non-symmetric buildings are subjected to a set of seven pairs of synthetic accelerograms, compatible with the design spectrum, and conclusions are drawn regarding the effectiveness of the strengthening solutions. Seismic behavior of the selected models confirms results of previous work regarding the insufficient capacity of the open ground stories for design level earthquakes. It is also shown that strengthening only the weak ground story, a choice having the substantial advantage of low cost and continued usage of the building during its seismic retrofitting, can remove the inherent weakness without shifting the problem to the stories above and thus making such buildings at least as strong as those without a weak first story. This partial strengthening is possible for symmetric as well as eccentric buildings, in which torsion plays a further detrimental role.

  • Open innovation has attracted significant attention from both academics and practitioners. However, theoretical and empirical researchers disagree on how open innovation improves firm performance. The inconsistent results reported in the literature may be attributed to the fact that they failed to provide an integrative view of how to make use of internal and external knowledge to enhance innovation performance. Furthermore, although the adoption value of innovation approaches varies depending on firm size and IT capabilities, their impacts have not been adequately taken into consideration. Drawing on complementarity theory, this study revisits the research problem and develops eight hypotheses. Surveys collected from 339 Korean firms were analyzed to test the hypotheses using the supermodularity functions. The results indicated that an internal knowledge-oriented innovation approach has a positive impact on innovation performance regardless of firm size. However, an external knowledge-oriented innovation approach has a positive effect on innovation performance in large firms while having no significant effect on innovation performance of SMEs. Results also confirmed a complementary relationship between internal and external knowledge-oriented innovation approaches in large firms, whereas substitutable relationships were confirmed in SMEs. This study sheds new light on open innovation by identifying the role of different types of innovation approaches, firm size, and IT capabilities.

  • A parallelization of the bi-conjugate gradient solver for the pressure equation of the CUPID (component unstructured program for interfacial dynamics) code, which was developed for analyzing the components of a pressurized water-cooled reactor, was studied in a symmetric multi-processing system. The parallel performance was investigated for three typical parallel programming models (MPI, OpenMP, Hybrid) by solving incompressible backward-facing step flow at various grid resolutions. It was confirmed that parallel performance was low when problem size was small or the memory requirement for each thread was considerably higher than the cache memory. Furthermore, it was shown that MPI was better than OpenMP regardless of the problem size, and Hybrid was the best when the number of threads was relatively small.

  • There are two kinds of wireless network access to a certain place by using smart devices - 1) open (anonymous) - access and 2) user-authorized access. The open-access is a non-authorization connection method which does not need to require Smart device's user authorized information. It means open-access use only user's SSID (Service Set Identifier) information to access the wireless AP devices following public wireless network standard. This access mechanism is not suitable to use all of public wireless networks because users have to get all wireless network information around them. As a result, huge data for smart devices should be one of the most critical overload problems for them. Secondly, the user-authorized access method uses wireless network information (SSID and password) chosen by the users. So, the users have to remember and use the network access information data manually whenever accessing the network. Like open-access, this access method also has the operational and inconvenient problem for the users - manually inputting access information whenever connecting to the network. To overcome this problem in both schemes, we propose two improved wireless network access methods: 1) the implementation of automatic AP connection mechanism using user-authorization and iBeacon messages, and 2) SSID registration form for public wireless networks.

  • The purpose of this paper was to evaluate how students apply prior knowledge or experience in solving algebra word problems from the chain of signification-based perspective. Three middle school students were evaluated in this case study. The results showed that the subjects formed similarities in the process of applying knowledge needed for solving a problem. The student A and C used semi-open-end formulas and closed formulas as solutions. They then formed concrete shape for each solution using the chain of signification that was applied for solution by forming procedural similarity. At this time, the chain of signification could be the combination of numbers, words, and pictures (such as diagrams or graphs) or just numbers or words. On the other hand, the student C who recognized closed formulas and her own rule as a solution method could not formulate completely procedural similarity due to many errors arising from number information. Nonetheless, all of the subjects showed something in common in the process of coming up with a algorithm that was semi-open-end formula or closed formula.

  • The present study developed a sequential approach-based numerical simulator for modeling coupled thermal-hydrological-mechanical (THM) processes in the ground and investigated the computational performance of the coupling analysis algorithm. The present sequential approach linked the two different solvers: an open-source numerical code, OpenGeoSys for solving the thermal and hydrological processes in porous media and a commercial code, FLAC3D for solving the geomechanical response of the ground. A benchmark test of the developed simulator was carried out using a THM problem where an analytical solution is given. The benchmark problem involves the coupled behavior (variations in temperature, pore pressure, stress, and deformation with time) of a fully saturated porous medium which is subject to a point heat source. The results of the analytical solution and numerical simulation were compared and the validity of the numerical simulator was investigated.

  • This study investigated three preservice teachers' mathematical problem solving among hand-in-write-ups and final projects for each subject. All participants' activities and computer explorations were observed and video taped. If it was possible, an open-ended individual interview was performed before, during, and after each exploration. The method of data collection was observation, interviewing, field notes, students' written assignments, computer works, and audio and videotapes of preservice teachers' mathematical problem solving activities. At the beginning of the mathematical problem solving activities, all participants did not have strong procedural and conceptual knowledge of the graph, making a model by using data, and general concept of a sine function, but they built strong procedural and conceptual knowledge and connected them appropriately through mathematical problem solving activities by using the computer technology.

  • We get one theorem that there exists a unique solution for the fourth order semilinear elliptic Dirichlet boundary value problem when the number 0 and the coefficient of the semilinear part belong to the same open interval made by two successive eigenvalues of the fourth order elliptic eigenvalue problem. We prove this result by the contraction mapping principle. We also get another theorem that there exist at least two solutions when there exist n eigenvalues of the fourth order elliptic eigenvalue problem between the coefficient of the semilinear part and the number 0. We prove this result by the critical point theory and the variation of linking method.
