This paper considers the implementation and experiments of an open-loop Cylindrical Vibratory Gyroscope(CGV). An open-loop CGV composed of thin cylindrical vibrating element, electromagnetic drive and pick-off element with open-loop control was designed and fabricated. The experimental performance tests of the open-loop CGV were done using a temperature chambered rate table. Also, the limitations of open-loop CGV were analyzed and the solution for the limitations was proposed.

To cope with the rapid changes in the corporate environment, the creation of innovative output through various forms of collaboration have been discussed. For open collaborations, contributors who distribute to various countries and cultures are able to share knowledge via the internet without physical rewards or responsibilities. In this study, we focused on the open source software project, which is a representative open collaboration. We investigated the factors that affect the knowledge contribution of developers of various countries within the open collaboration platform. Specifically, we investigated the open collaborative nature of multi-culture developers by dividing cultures according to collectivism and individualism. We collected data on 26,604 developers using a python based web crawler for GitHub which is an open source software development platform, and conducted cross-cultural study. This paper contributes to the field of knowledge management by suggesting various impacts of antecedents such as hireability, and information exposure on knowledge sharing according to culture.

오픈액세스 정책은 각 기관의 오픈액세스 프로젝트의 성공적 수행을 위해 매우 중요하다. 본 논문은 대학의 오픈액세스 정책수립시 규정되어야 할 요소들을 제안하기 위하여 수행되었다. 이를 위하여 국내 세 개 대학의 기관리포지토리 운영 정책과 ROARMAP에 등록된 대학의 오픈액세스 정책문서를 분석한 뒤 대학의 오픈액세스 정책 수립시 규정되어야 할 요소들을 제안하였다. 제안된 요소영역은 크게 제출자료영역, 제출시기, 제출자, 저작권, 요구수준, 예외, 이용, 오픈액세스 방법, 지원 등 9개영역이며 이들 각 영역에 대한 세부사항들 30개를 제안하였다.

The Directory of Open Access Books (DOAB) provides a searchable index peer-reviewed monographs and edited volumes published under an Open Access business model, with links to the full texts of the publications at the publisher's website or repository. This paper discusses a global analysis of open access books, which are available in the Directory of Open Access Books (DOAB). The data was collected from the open access directory at http://www.doabooks.org/ on $20^{th}$ October 2015. In total 3379 books are listed as available on the directory; the first and second books were published in 1866 and 1867 respectively. After 1962, the publication of books, increased gradually and the greatest number of books more than 300, was published in 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2014. Nearly 47 percent of the books (1584) were published in the English language only.

In mid 1980s, open education arrived in Korea. It was influenced by the educational reforms implemented in American primary schools. Currently, the Ministry of Education is appealing to teachers for their active involvement in educational reform by using open education methodology. Often teachers in Korea complain that they do not know what to do or how to change in order to practice the open education. It is time to review the state of open education in Korea and the United States. This paper contains the following segments: 0) Introduction, 1) Beginning of open education, 2) A brief history of open education in Korea, 3) The current status of open education in the United States, 4) A glance at open mathematics classroom in Korea, 5) Lessons from the review, and 6) Conclusion.

With the increasing importance of ecosystem in a business environment, the value of open innovation is receiving great attention. Under open innovation, companies open their knowledge, capital, and other resources to cooperating companies; on the other hand, under closed innovation companies depend solely on their own resources. In this paper, we compare closed and open innovation using the simulation method, and confirm that in terms of total capital and production of the industry, open innovation provides greater opportunities to the entire ecosystem. Moreover, Schumpeterian competition, which is a dynamic of closed innovation, functions even under open innovation. Our findings highlight that not only small but also large companies can receive the benefit of an enlarged industry under open innovation.

The present study addresses the open end correction associated with the reflection and discharge phenomena of a weak shock wave from an open end of a duct. The open end correction of the weak shock wave is investigated experimentally and by numerical computation. An experiment is made using a simple shock tube with an open end, and computation is performed to simulate the experimental flow field using the unsteady, axisymmetric, compressible, flow governing equations. The results obtained show that an open end correction should be involved for shock wave discharge and reflection problems generated from the exit of the duct with an open end baffle plate. With a baffle plate less than three times the duct diameter, it is found that the open end correction is a function of both the diameter of the baffle plate and normal shock wave magnitude. However, for a baffle plate larger than three times the duct diameter, it is independent of the baffle plate diameter. The present computations predict the results of shock tube experiment with good accuracy. A new empirical equation for prediction of the open end correction is found for the weak shock reflection and discharge phenomena occurring at the open end of the duct with and without a baffle plate.

Purpose This study investigates the effects of trust and distrust on intention to purchase in open market, based on the idea that trust and distrust can co-exist. Specifically, this study approached the effects of trust and distrust of the open market on the intention to purchase from a two-dimensional perspective, and examined trustworthiness as the antecedents of trust and distrust. Design/Methodology/Approach In this study, we conducted a questionnaire survey on consumers who have actually purchased a product from open markets in Korea for two months. As a result, 141 users are chosen for the sample. We apply PLS (Partial Least Squares) structural equation modeling (SEM) to verify our theoretical model using the software application SmartPLS 3.0. Findings First, trust in open market positively affects intention to purchase, whereas distrust in open market negatively affects intention to purchase. Second, the three antecedents of trust (i.e. three factors constituting trustworthiness such as ability, benevolence and integrity) affect trust in open market. Third, integrity negatively affects distrust in open market. Since integrity plays an important role in building both trust and distrust in open market, the operators of open market should pay attention to managing their integrity.

OpenStack과 같이 오픈 소스 기반의 클라우드 컴퓨팅 관리 플랫폼 (Cloud Management Platform) 의 빠른 구현으로 인하여, 오픈 소스를 이용한 개인 및 기관의 클라우드 구축 시도가 지속적으로 증가되는 추세이다. 이러한 클라우드 운영자들에게, 구축한 클라우드 컴퓨팅 시스템의 동작 검증은 필수적이다. 본 논문은 클라우드 시스템 구축 검증하기 위한 오픈 소스 기반의 클라우드 테스트 도구를 디자인하며 구현한다. 특히, 제안된 테스트 도구는 오픈 소스 소프트웨어 프로젝트인 Tempest를 활용하며, Tempest의 테스트 케이스를 통해서 OpenStack기반의 클라우드를 검증한다. 제안된 소프트웨어는 국내에서 처음으로 개발되는 클라우드 시스템 구축 테스트 도구의 프로토타입이며, 앞으로 클라우드 기술 개발 및 사용자 확대에 기여할 것으로 예상된다.
