  • A recent online game is growing with the combined action of content as well as operating services. However, in previous studies, with a lot of focus on content characteristics of game than the game operating service quality studies have been carried out. This study targeted research online sports games, operating service quality and content characteristics of the game are analyzed effects of word-of-mouth and continued usage intention by applying Expectation Confirmation Model. as a result, it has found that as a result, it has found that sense of reality turned out to be a major variable affecting the content of the game even expectation confirmation. Directly and indirectly, it was confirmed that the role of empathy affect to expectation confirmation and satisfaction.

  • Wired and mobile Internet has led to increase in online broadcasting content market size. In particular, the fast-growing smart devices like smart phone and tablet PC in mobile Internet market has accelerated the growth of online broadcasting content service market. Meanwhile, the illegal distribution of online broadcasting content has been widespread in this market. There are also significant transaction costs, search costs, contracting and coordination costs in online broadcasting content market. MCP(Master content provider) which is a content distributor has been playing a critical role in preventing illegal content distribution, reducing costs and removing inefficiencies of online broadcasting content market. Thus, the purpose of this study is to investigate the competency of MCP to streamline the online broadcasting contents market from the resource- based view. And this study conducted a case study to explain the status of online broadcasting content market and define what kinds of problems and issues are there in the market in a systematic way. The case study also showed how MCP competency plays an important role in reducing administrative and transaction costs and in solving illegal content distribution and other inefficiencies of the online broadcasting contents market.

Exploring customer delight experiences in online shopping malls (온라인 쇼핑몰에서의 고객 감동경험 고찰)

  • Though customer delight is becoming one of the most important marketing key words, research in a retail setting is limited. With the dramatic growth of online retail shopping, this study explored customer delight experiences in online shopping malls by identifying the delight elements and analyzing the elements by online purchase steps. A total of 124 delight experiences collected from an unstructured questionnaire were content-analyzed. Delight elements in online shopping were categorized into service, product, price, delivery, package, and shopping mall operation in that order. Service related elements including free gifts and letters, recovery efforts for service failure, kind employees, and easy return were most frequently observed. Delights were experienced at the product receiving point, the prior-to-purchase point, the order-to-delivery point, and the post-purchase point in that order. The results revealed that customer delights in online shopping were experienced in various purchase steps by various marketing elements. Based on the results the study provided research propositions exploring the effects of expectation vs surprise, monetary vs non-monetary/emotional benefits/rewards, and core marketing elements vs augmented services on delight experiences.

A Study on Copyright Infringement over Online Streaming Services by Reconstructing Web Cache (웹 브라우저 캐시 재조립을 통한 온라인 스트리밍 서비스 상의 저작권 침해 가능성에 관한 연구)

  • As internet technology advances, users can share content online, and many sharing services exist. According to a recently published digital forensic study, when playing an online streaming service, you can restore the played video by reconstructing the Chrome cache file left on local device such as a PC. This can be seen as evidence that the user watched illegal video content. From a different point of view, copyright infringement occurs when a malicious user restores video stream and share it to another site. In this paper, we selected 23 online streaming services that are widely used both at home and abroad. After streaming videos, we tested whether we can recover original video using cache files stored on the PC or not. As a result, the paper found that in most sites we can restore the original video by reconstructing cache files. Furthermore, this study also discussed methodologies for preventing copyright infringement in online streaming service.

  • This paper proposes a mobile content curation service to collect various online/offline publications. The company publishes one-time topic information to a broker server in advance and customer curates topic information on a mobile device by requesting it. The main characteristics of the proposed service are: it is based on request/response model rather than existing publish/subscribe model, can easily specify topic information by input string without QR code or audio recognition, and retrieves all of topic information anywhere anytime by storing it on mobile device. This service can be used for second screen campaign for TV and various online/offline events.

Conjoint Analysis of Online Content : A Case of Video on Demand Service (온라인 콘텐츠의 컨조인트 분석 : Video on Demand 서비스 사례를 중심으로)

  • This study uses conjoint analysis technique to calculate relative importance of each attribute of a specific online content: video-on-demand (VoD) services of TV soap operas. A series of interviews were conducted to identify and derive critical attributes for VoD services. Conjoint instrument was constructed using attributes identified and administered among actual viewers. Price, genre, additional service, and actors were found to be the most highly valued attributes of the VoD services. While price was the most valued attribute for female viewers, it was genre for male viewers. The result suggests that these attribute differentiation would lead to more profitable pricing scheme, and development of additional services may be critical for online content business' success.

  • The objective of this study was to discuss child privacy issues at Web sites targeting children, Specifically, the study examined l)types of information required for join the membership, 2)whether privacy policies at Web sites for children abide by privacy guideline, and 3)specific examples of recommendable privacy policy and problematic privacy policy from Web sites, Total of 305 Web sites targeting children were used for content analysis, Selected Web sites included recommended sites by Korea Council of Children's Organizations and food business Web sites, The results showed that more than 70% of Web sites required private information when children join the membership. Most of these Web sites provided mailing service for children. Generally, Web sites showed problems in parents' approval procedures. Also, privacy policies at Web sites frequently omitted purpose specification principle and the security safeguard principle. Regulating online service provides and marketers targeting children would be necessary for protecting child privacy. Further, education program targeting parents and children could help them make right choices to protect children's online privacy.

  • There is a phenomenon that the consumers from all over the countries are using the Korean online shopping malls, which has settled as a distribution industry. To get the attention of the consumers from other countries, the marketing strategy is important in order for the online shopping malls to go advance abroad. The purpose of this study is to overview the Pinterest, which is a shopping-oriented Social Network Service (SNS) based on the image content. The Pinterest is a valuable online shopping mall marketing channel. By looking at the background growth and feature of service, the existence of the mega SNS as a center in the social business is to see how Pinterest is targeting a niche market. As a result of this study, Pinterest has the advantage against other SNS for joining with online shopping malls because a tendency of the traffic referrals from Pinterest is increasing and the average of the cost of the purchase is high. Therefore, this study is reflecting various cases of utilizing the online shopping malls. In conclusion, Pinterest represents an illustrative case of effective marketing channel of the online shopping malls.

  • The development of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) has changed the manner in which English teachers are taught as instructors, as well as English language learners. Online-related technology, a product of development of ICT technology, is used for various purposes such as training teachers and enhancing professionalism of current teachers to practice more efficient training. The purpose of this study is to extract common domains and sub-domains related to development of cyber-type in-service training (INSET) through domestic and international case analyses and to develop content areas of INSET using cyberspace or efficient online INSET programs. To accomplish the purpose of this study, domestic and foreign cases were analyzed in relation to direction of development of online English teacher training programs.

  • Word-of-mouths (WOMs) are now an important information source for purchase decision. Due to the advance in internet technology, people now can share online their consumption experience, both positive and negative, to others. The WOMs may diffuse to not only their friends but also enormous online users. When consumers dissatisfy the product or service, they may share the dissatisfactory experience to others as WOM, which may bring out discussions for the product or service. The discussions on the negative WOM may help to communicate the negative information to enormous others, which may damage the sale of the product or service. The diffusion and life cycle of negative WOM is an important issue for managers. However, few studies focus on it. Thus, the current study focuses on the discussion pattern and life cycle of negative WOMs by observing the 782 discussion articles in a large online community.
