  • Recently, online job websites have been activated as unemployment problems have emerged as social problems and demand for job openings has increased. However, while the online job platform market is growing, users have difficulty choosing their jobs. When users apply for a job on online job websites, they check various information such as job contents and recruitment conditions to understand the details of the job. When users choose a job, they focus on various details related to the job rather than simply viewing and supporting the job title. However, existing online job websites usually recommend jobs using only quantitative preference information such as ratings. However, if recommendation services are provided using only quantitative information, the recommendation performance is constantly deteriorating. Therefore, job recommendation services should provide personalized services using various information about the job. This study proposes a recommended methodology that improves recommendation performance by elaborating on qualitative preference information, such as details about the job. To this end, this study performs a topic modeling analysis on the job content of the user profile. Also, we apply LDA techniques to explore topics from job content and extract qualitative preferences. Experiments show that the proposed recommendation methodology has better recommendation performance compared to the traditional recommendation methodology.

  • This study aims to identify the impact of flow experience on participation and re-view of online taekwondo demonstrations on adult women, and provide practical data to revitalize online taekwondo demonstration performances, promote visitors, and promote adult taekwondo trainees. Visitors who watched the "High Kick" online taekwondo demonstration performance performed by the Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team were selected as a population, and a total of 248 copies of the data were finally used by distributing online questionnaires. First, the difference in flow, involvement, and re-visibility due to female visitors' experiences in taekwondo is the perception, time distortion, and involvement except pleasure factors among flow sub-factors. There is a difference in the factors of re-viewing. Second, among the flow factors of online taekwondo demonstration performances, the factors of attention, pleasure, and time distortion were found to have had a positive impact on involvement. Third, the flow factor of online taekwondo demonstration shows a positive effect on the intention of re-watching. Fourth, the level of participation in online taekwondo demonstrations has a positive effect on the intention of re-watching. The results of this study suggest changes in attitudes and behavior, such as increased involvement of female visitors and intention of re-viewing, and it is believed that online performances will help establish a new non-face-to-face cultural performance system.

  • This study identifies and tracks changes gender differences in adolescent users' problematic online behavior. This study used Korea Youth Panel Survey (KYPS), which has tracked respondents over 7 years, with self-control theory and social learning theory applied as a theoretical framework. The model included individual-level variables such as self-control and respondent's experience of problematic behavior (offline), as well as socialization variables such as the number close friends who engaged in problematic offline behavior, parent-child relationships, and parental monitoring. Dependent variables included problematic online behavior, unauthorized ID use (ID theft) and cyberbullying (cursing/insulting someone in a chat room or on a bulletin board). Control variables consisted of academic performance, time spent on a computer, monthly household income, and father's educational attainment. Random and fixed effects models were performed by gender. Results supported self-control theory even for the within-level analysis (fixed effects models) regardless of gender, while social learning theory was partially supported. Only peer effects were found significant (except for unauthorized ID use) among girls. Year dummy variables showed significant negative associations; however, academic performance and time spent using computers were significant in some models. Father's educational attainment and monthly household income were found insignificant, even in the random effects models. We also discuss implications and suggestions for future research and policy makers.

  • Purpose: Within the ever-changing realm of modern e-commerce, this study delves into the complex effects of factors like performance expectations, ease of use, social influence, favorable conditions, and enjoyment perception on users' intentions and usage patterns in online marketplace apps. The research centres on Tokopedia app users in Denpasar City, encompassing a wide and varied demographic. Methods: Utilizing a non-probability sampling method, 200 participants were selected for extensive data collection through surveys. Subsequent rigorous analysis of the gathered data was performed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) techniques. Results: This study aims to contribute substantially to theoretical and practical knowledge regarding marketplace app usage. Theoretical contributions involve enhancing the marketing domain, especially in digital marketing, by revealing the intricate factors influencing user conduct in online marketplaces. From a practical standpoint, this research provides valuable insights for entrepreneurs aspiring to join or improve their positions in the Tokopedia app market. Conclusion: Based on the study, we suggest optimising online shopping apps for a more appealing and user-friendly interface. Enhancing the enjoyment and simplicity of finding desired products can prompt heightened usage of online shopping services, thereby reinforcing distribution management strategies and overall market presence.

  • In the ever-increasing online secondhand product market, the perceived risk of online used products purchase was identified as a factor influencing consumer purchase intention. The results of this study are as follows. First, the relationship between the perceived risk of online secondhand purchase and purchase intention was presented with somewhat different results for each sub-risk factor. First of all, a significant negative causal relationship between physical risk, time loss risk, psychological risk, social risk and online used product purchase intention was verified. On the other hand, financial risk and functional risk did not show a statistically significant relationship with online used products purchase intention. Second, as a result of research on the moderating effect of purchasing experience, offline purchasing experience of used products and online purchasing experience were verified differently. First of all, the moderating effect of the online purchase experience of used products was significant only in the relationship between psychological and social risks on the intention to purchase used products online. The experience of purchasing used products online is believed to reduce uncertainty about the surrounding response to purchasing used products online and weaken the intention to purchase used products online by reducing tension and concerns about purchasing them. Other risks, such as financial risk, performance risk, physical risk, time loss risk, and online purchase experience of used products, were verified to have no significant effect on online used products purchase intention. In addition, the offline purchase experience of used products did not verify a significant moderating effect on the effect of all perceived risks on online used product purchase intention.

  • Forecasting daily box-office performance is critical for planning the distribution of marketing resources, and by extension, maximizing profits. For certain movies, the number of viewers increases rapidly at the beginning of their theatrical run, and the increments slow down later. Other movies are not popular in the beginning, but the audience sizes grow rapidly afterward. Thus, the audience attendance of movies grow in different trajectories, which are influenced by various factors including marketing budget, distributors, directors, actors, and word of mouth. In this paper, we propose a method for predicting the daily performance trajectory of running movies based on the hierarchical linear model. More specifically, we focus on the effect of online word of mouth on the shape of the growth curves. We fitted the mean trajectory of the cumulative audience size as a cubic function of time, and allowed the intercept and slope to vary movie-to-movie. Moreover, we fitted the linear slope with a function of online word of mouth predictors to help determine the shape of the trajectories. Finally, we provide performance predictions for individual movies.
