온라인상에서의 다차원적인 사용후기의 영향에 관한 연구 : 의류제품을 중심으로 (The Influence of Customer's Multidimensional Evaluation in Online Review :Focused on Apparel Products)

  • 많은 소비자들의 문제는 온라인을 통해서 구매하고자 하는 제품에 대해 명확한 지식을 획득하기 힘들다는 사실이다. 이에 소비자들은 온라인 사용후기를 통해 먼저 이용해 본 사람들의 의견을 청취하는 행동을 취하는데, 이것은 일종의 온라인 구전으로 일면식도 없는 이들의 구전에 많은 소비자들이 영향을 받고 있다고 말할 수 있다. 결국, 온라인 기업들은 개별 이용자들의 사용후기를 적절히 관리할 필요가 발생하였으며, 이러한 사용후기의 관리를 통해 차후의 이용자들에게 보다 나은 정보와 제품을 제공해 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다. 그러나 사용후기는 그 내용의 방향성 및 객관성 여부에 따라 그 영향의 정도가 다르다고 예상해 볼 수 있으므로 이러한 성격을 충분히 고려한 다차원적인 온라인 사용후기의 영향에 대해 이해할 필요가 있다. 연구의 결과, 긍정적이고 객관적인 메시지의 경우 메시지에 대한 태도가 구매, 재방문, 구전의도 등에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 부정적이고 주관적인 메시지의 경우에는 메시지에 대한 태도가 제품태도를 거쳐 구매의도와 구전의도에 유의한 수준에서 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 메시지의 차원에 따라 제품에 대한 태도, 구매의도, 구전의도, 그리고 재방문의도가 다르게 나타나므로 단순한 사용후기 관리가 아니라 사용후기의 다차원적인 특정을 이해하는 것이 중요하다고 할 수 있다.

상품평의 정보 분류에 기반한 자동 상품평 유용성 평가 (Automatic Product Review Helpfulness Estimation based on Review Information Types)

  • 온라인 상품평 양의 비약적 증가로 인해 소비자들이 유용한 상품평 만을 찾는 것이 거의 불가능에 가까워졌다. 이 연구는 온라인 상품평의 유용성을 자동적으로 평가할 수 있는 토대를 마련하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 상품평을 이루는 문장에 담긴 정보를 설명하는 그 대상에 따라 종류를 나눌 수 있도록 상품평 정보 분류를(Review Information Types) 제안하고, 각 정보 분류 내에서 문장의 주제 벡터 변환 방법과 군집화를 이용하여 더 세부적으로 각 문장이 어떤 정보를 제공하는지를 추출함으로써 각 상품평이 제공하는 정보에 따라 그 유용성을 평가하는 방법을 제안한다. 이러한 시도는 잠재적 소비자들이 상품평에서 상품 자체의 특성이나 상품평 제공자의 경험과 같은 정보를 배송과 같은 정보보다 중요하게 생각할 것이라는 가정에서 시작했다. 자동 상품평 유용성 평가 실험을 통해 본 연구에서 제시하는 방법이 기존의 비교 가능한 연구들에 비해 더 효과적인 것을 밝혀냈다.

카테고리 킬러형 온라인 상점의 특성과 쇼핑태도에 대한 제품유형의 조절효과 (Moderating Effects of Product Types on the Relationship between Online Category Killer Store Characteristics and Shopping Attitudes)

  • This research investigates whether product types moderate the relationship between e-tailer characteristics and shopping attitudes in the context of online category killer stores. To identify the antecedents of consumer attitudes for category killer stores, the product types are characterized by the two dimensions of hedonic and utilitarian. A total of 268 responses were collected from consumers who experienced online category killer stores. The results show that the quality of information contained in a website, customer review, relational benefits, and the expertise of the e-tailer are important determinants for shopping attitudes of consumers. Regarding the moderating effects of product types, hedonic value significantly moderates the relationships between shopping attitudes and relational benefits/e-tailer expertise. However, utilitarian value does not significantly moderate the relationships between shopping attitudes and any of the e-tailer characteristics. Theoretical contributions of this study are the findings of moderating effects of hedonic value on the relationships between e-tailer characteristics and shopping attitudes. In addition, this study practically implies how companies can utilize these characteristics strategically for marketing and the selection of products.

소비스타일 척도개발 및 특성분석 (Developing Standards for Measuring Consumption Style and Analysis of Characteristics)

  • This study is intended to make a tool which can identify how consumers consume by presenting a concept of "consumption style" and by developing the scale to measure it. In order to study the scope and meaning of consumption for modern consumers, "the meaning of consumption" was theoretically considered. Based on it, the concept and perspective of 'consumption style'was formed and then the scale for measuring it was developed. To develop the scale, the scale was formed by extracting questions through a literature survey, and verifying validity through experts' opinion. Then, the final scale was developed by conducting a questionnaire survey for consumers. A preliminary 150- item scale was developed through a literature review. 1000 consumers responded to an online survey using the preliminary scale. This research was made with the intention of not only supplying the academic data on the consumer's "consumption style" but also understanding the consumer's basic behavior patterns. Then A series of tests, such as test-retest, item-to-total correlation, Cronbach's reliability coefficient and factor analysis, were conducted using the survey data. The final scale with 68-items was constructed in the end. The "consumption style" Scale for Consumers consisted of 4 factors.

소비자의 복지 - 소비생활수준의 개념 및 척도개발을 중심으로 - (Consumer's Wel-being: The Conceptualization and the Development of Consumption Life Level Scale)

  • This study is intended to create a tool which can identify the concept of consumption life level and to develop a standardized scale to measure consumption life level. Based on it, the concept and perspective of consumption life level was formed and then the scale for measuring it was developed. To develop the scale, the scale was firstly formed by extracting questions through a literature survey, and verifying validity through experts' opinions. Then the final scale was developed by conducting a questionnaire survey for consumers. A preliminary 27-item scale was developed through a literature review. 1000 consumers responded to an online survey using the preliminary scale. This research was made with the intention of not only supplying academic data on the consumer's consumption life level but also understanding the consumer's basic behavior patterns. Then a series of tests: test-retest, item-to-total correlation, and Cronbach's reliability coefficient and factor analysis were conducted using the survey data and the final 20-item scale was constructed in the end. The consumer's consumption life level scale consisted of 4 factors.

What Drives Consumers' Purchase Decisions? : User- and Marketer-generated Content

  • Consumers have an increasingly active role in the marketing cycle, using social media channels to create, distribute, and consume digital content. In this context, this paper investigates the impact of user- and marketer-generated content on consumer purchase intentions and the approach to designing an effective social media marketing platform. Referencing a literature review of social media marketing and consumer purchase intentions, a case study of the social media-marketing platform, 0.8L, was undertaken using both qualitative and quantitative results through content analysis and a participatory survey. First, about 450 consumer reviews for ten sunscreen products posted on the 0.8L platform were compared with products' marketer-generated content. Next, 55 subjects participated in a survey regarding purchase intentions toward moisturizing creams on the 0.8L platform. The results indicated that user-generated content (i.e., texts and photos) provided more personal experiences of the product usage process, whereas marketers focused on distinctive product photos and features. Moreover, customer reviews (particularly high volume and narrative format) had more impact on purchase decisions than marketer information in the online cosmetics market. Real users' honest reviews (both positive and negative) were found to aid companies' prompt and straightforward assessment of newly released products. In addition to the importance of customer-driven marketing practices, distinctive user experience design features of a competitive social media-marketing platform are identified to facilitate the creation and sharing of sincere customer reviews that resonate with potential buyers.

빅데이터와 네트노그라피 분석을 통합한 온라인 커뮤니티 고객 욕구 도출 방안: 천기저귀 온라인 커뮤니티 사례를 중심으로 (How to Identify Customer Needs Based on Big Data and Netnography Analysis)

  • 본 연구는 온라인 소비자 커뮤니티의 소비자 욕구와 행동을 분석하기 위해 빅데이터-네트노그라피 통합모델을 사용하였다. 빅데이터 분석은 상관관계를 파악하기에는 용이하나, 인과관계는 알아내기 어렵기 때문에 네트노그라피 분석을 함께 사용하였다. 온라인 환경에서 수행하는 질적연구방식인 네트노그라피 방법론은 맥락파악에 있어서는 탁월하나, 장시간에 걸쳐 축적된 많은 양의 데이터를 분석하기에는 시간과 비용이 많이 든다는 한계가 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 빅데이터 분석을 통하여 온라인 커뮤니티 사이트에서 축적된 전반적인 자료의 패턴을 찾고, 네트노그라피 분석이 필요한 특이점을 발견한 뒤, 특이점 전후 지점에서만 네트노그라피 분석을 수행하였다. 본 연구에서 빅데이터 분석을 통해 드러난 다양한 현상의 원인을 네트노그라피 분석을 통해 설명할 수 있었다. 뿐만 아니라 빅데이터 분석으로는 잘 드러나지 않는 커뮤니티의 내부 구조적 변화까지도 파악할 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해 그동안 빅데이터가 놓쳐온 비정형데이터로부터 맥락적 의미 분석은 물론 이해하기 어려웠던 온라인 소비자 행동 중 많은 부분을 효과적으로 설명할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서 제안한 빅데이터-네트노그라피 통합모델은 온라인 환경에서 소비자 욕구를 새롭게 발견하기 좋은 도구로 활용될 수 있을 것이다. 향후 연구에서는 다양한 사례 적용연구를 통해 본 연구에서 제시한 방안의 적합성과 우수성을 검증하고 보완하고자 한다.

Offline Shopping During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Between Need and Fear

  • Purpose - The purposes of this research are: (1) Building and testing a research model that integrates Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) with fear, perceived risk, and health protocols; (2) Examining the impact of compliance with health protocols on consumer behavior when offline shopping. Research design, data, and methodology - The data collection uses the self-administered survey method, and the questionnaire is distributed online. A total of 504 Indonesian population aged 18 years old or more participate in this research. Data are analyzed using factor analysis, multiple regression, and multiple regression with interaction. Result - This study reveals several findings: (1) Attitude and subjective norm have a significant effect on offline shopping behavior; (2) fear has a direct and indirect effect on offline shopping behavior; (3) the effect of perceived risk on the intensity of offline shopping is determined by compliance with health protocols. Conclusion - This paper discusses the direct influence of attitudes and subjective norms on behavior. This research also integrates fear, perceived risk, and health protocol factors in TRA, which may not have been done much, especially in the COVID-19 pandemic context.

구조적 토픽모델링을 활용한 무료형 대규모 다중이용자 온라인 롤플레잉 게임의 소액결제에 대한 이용자 리뷰 분석 (User Review Analysis of Microtransactions in Freemium Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games Using Structural Topic Modeling)

  • This study investigated player responses to microtransactions in freemium Massively multiplayer online roleplaying games (MMORPG), specifically focusing on the game LostArk using English language review data. To this end, structural topic modeling was employed and the following six microtransaction-relevant topics were identified: microtransactions, developer issues, real money trade (RMT), random number generator (RNG) upgrade system, game content, and collectibles & adventure. The first four topics were classified as being "not recommended". However, the proportions of microtransaction-related topics were relatively lower than the other topics. Additionally, this study did not extract keywords related to unfairness and unethical issues in previous microtransaction research. The last two topics, game content, and collectibles & adventure were "recommended" topics, indicating positive functions of microtransactions such as enhancing the game experience by purchasing virtual items. Moreover, it was found that players who do not engage in microtransactions can still be satisfied through continuous game content updates. Additionally, an examination of the interaction effect between time and recommendation status revealed that while the frequency with which the six microtransaction-related topics were mentioned increased over time in the reviews, the ratio of recommendations to non-recommendations varied differently. This study contributes to game-related research by revealing players' authentic opinions on microtransactions in freemium MMORPGs, thereby providing practical implications for game companies.

소비자 리뷰 텍스트마이닝을 이용한 신생 산업 시장 구조 분석: 국내 수제 맥주 시장의 경쟁 관계 및 시장 구조를 중심으로 (Analysis of New Market Structure Using Text Mining and Consumer Perceptions Map: The Case of the Korean Craft Beer Market)

  • Purpose This paper aims to effectively utilize user-generated content (UGC) and analyze the market structure of a relatively new market which lacks rich user review information. Specifically, we propose a domain-specific text mining tool for the domestic craft beer market and visualize the market structure by incorporating how individual beer products are positioned in the perceptual map of consumers. Design/methodology/approach We collect user review information from Naver blogs, and extract words that describe beers. We identify semantic relationships between beer products through text mining, and then depending on these semantic relationships, construct a graph representing the market structure of the domestic craft beer market based on the consumer's perceptual map. Findings First, beer products produced in the same brewery are perceived as very similar to consumers. Second, only two products, 'Heukdang Milky Stout' and 'Gompyo', was noticeably distinguishable from other products. Third, even though 'Gyeongbokgung' is from a different brewery, it is located very close to the products of 'Jeju Beer' brewery such as 'Jeju Baeknokdam Ale' and 'Seongsan Ilchulbong Ale', which suggests the influence of 'landmark series.' We successfully show that our methodology effectively describes the market structure of the craft beer market.
