Effects of Virtual Model Characteristics of Internet Clothing Shopping Mall on Consumer's Shopping Experience and Loyalty (인터넷 의류쇼핑몰의 가상모델 특성이 소비자의 쇼핑경험과 충성도에 미치는 영향)

  • Motivations to engage in internet shopping as well as traditional off-line shopping include both utilitarian and hedonic dimensions. It is important that online fashion retailers offer the sense of the real shopping experience that offline fashion retailers do. This article is to assess empirically virtual model impact on consumer's online shopping experience. To test hypothesis, an experiment was executed a field study on foreign internet shopping(www.landsend.com). Prior to administering the experiment, a pilot test was conduct among 20 undergraduate students to pre-test for computer system trouble and delay problem. The experiment was conducted to 90 studetns. The participants were instructed to answer all the questons based on their experience when using that particular internet shopping mall. The LISREL 8.50 was used for statistical analysis. The results indicate that the virtual model characteristics such as vividness, customization, and interactivity are important factors in affecting consumer's shopping experience. Online shopping experience have a strong positive effect on shopping mall loyalty.

Intention to Return to Online Shopping Malls by Men of Digital Generation (디지털세대 남성의 인터넷 쇼핑행동에 관한 연구)

  • The purposes of this study were 1) to identify dimensions of fashion lifestyles of men of digital generation and online shopping mall service attributes, and 2) to find factors affecting general satisfaction and intention to purchase at online shopping malls. Data were obtained from 632 men aged between 15 and 39 who were using the internet. Fashion lifestyles produced five factors, fashion leadership, shopping enjoyment, brand pursuit, personality pursuit, and practicality pursuit. Internet service attributes included three factors, check-out service, after delivery service, and product presentation service. Significant determinants of general satisfaction were after delivery service, check-out service, product presentation service, and purchase experience in order. For intention to buy, after delivery service, check-out service, product presentation service, purchase experience, practicality, and household income level in order were significant. Finally, general satisfaction of purchase was a useful determinant of intention to buy. Implications were given for improving internet shopping mall services from the perspective of online fashion mall marketers.

The Mediating Effect of Brand Awareness on the Relationship between Online Shopping Mall Quality Factors and Consumer Satisfaction

  • Purpose: The development of e-commerce in the marketplace is becoming a big trend, but there is a handful of research about the unique characteristics of e-commerce. Online distribution has several differences from offline, such as consumer approach, payment, and product assortment. In addition to the relationship between quality factors and e-commerce satisfaction, this study research how brand awareness affects consumer satisfaction and which quality factor affects brand awareness. Research design, data, and methodology: This study conducted a survey on 457 customers using top online shopping malls. As for the analysis method, multiple regression analysis to verify the mediating effect. Results: All quality factors and brand awareness affect consumer satisfaction. Among the quality factors, only price, payment, and delivery had an effect among the four factors. As a result of verifying the mediating effect of brand awareness in the relationship between online shopping mall quality factors and consumer satisfaction, price, payment, and delivery showed mediating effects. Conclusion: Online shopping mall satisfaction affects the satisfaction of brand awareness consumers perceive aside from consumers' direct experience. The result showed that price, payment, and delivery were significant in the relationship of quality factor and brand awareness of an online shopping malls.

  • The most important issue the online shopping mall for clothes is facing in the rapid growth of the online shopping mali is the high rate of the return of the goods alter purchase. The high rate of the return leads to the dissatisfaction md lack of trust from the consumers in the online shopping mall for clothes, which in turn leads to the bleak prospect for the online shopping mall for clothes as a result of the consumers' dissatisfaction. Although a type of online shopping mall using the cyber-fitting technology has emerged recently, it has succeeded only in provoking a visual interest, for it is also not satisfying the demand of the consumers by falling short in providing information. Thus, this research seeks for the resolutions of the problems related to the user-oriented online shopping. First of the resolutions is the development of a new prototype which the consumers can easily access; second is the visualization of the information using the 3D virtual-reality of he prototype through interface, which will help the consumers to make more accurate judgments. In other words, this study seeks to provide a type of prototype of an online shopping mall that meets the demand of the consumers using the 3D avatars, unlike the unilateral and conventional malls out there.

  • Purpose - For the development of fresh food shopping malls, consumers should continue to experience loyalty and favorability for the company's products or brands, and this should lead directly to purchase so that active word-ofmouth and recommendation should be encouraged. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of e-service quality and e-ERM on e-loyalty with customer satisfaction and commitment as mediators. Research design, data, and methodology - This study was conducted by sample survey method on 320 online customers who have experience in using major online fresh food shopping malls for more than one year. Data analysis methods were frequency analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equation model analysis. Result - Hypothesis 1 through Hypothesis 7 were all supported. The results of this study suggest that e-service quality and e-CRM of online fresh food shopping malls have a significant effect on satisfaction and commitment. Therefore, the conclusion has been derived that the focus of this study, that such satisfaction and commitment have a significant effect on e-customer loyalty. has been supported theoretically and empirically. Conclusion - This study suggests that studies on customer loyalty based on activation commerce factors related to fresh food in online shopping malls will be an index that can reflect on customer's needs corresponding with future trends of not only online shopping malls but also offline shopping malls.

The Influences of Price, Product and Promotion on Clothing Impulse Buying by the Internet Shopping Mall Types (인터넷 쇼핑몰 유형별 의류제품 충동구매에 미치는 가격, 제품, 판촉의 영향)

  • This study analyzes the influence of price, product and promotion on clothing impulse buying according to internet shopping mall type. This study conducted a survey of 346 male and female consumers in their 20s-40s who have experienced clothing impulse buying from an internet shopping mall. Respondents were selected using convenience sampling through an online survey conducted in August 2012. For statistical analysis, descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, $X^2$-test, factor analysis, and regression analysis where carried out using SPSS for Windows 12.0. The results were as follows. First, there were significant differences for consumer gender, age, marital status, and education on clothing impulse buying according to shopping mall type. Second, there were differences for the influence of each component (price, product and promotion) on clothing impulse buying according to shopping mall type. Third, it was identified that influence of components (price, product and promotion) on clothing impulse buying were in the following order: low price, freshness, prize promotion, scarcity, open market price discount, prize promotion, freshness, fashionability, low price in general shopping malls, payment term benefit, freshness, and scarcity in fashion SOHO shopping malls. This study provides information for consumer management and promotion strategies according to each shopping mall type by understanding clothing impulse buying by consumers and factors according to shopping mall type.

  • The purpose of the research is to provide the operation plans of internet marketing for effective application as marketing tools by analyzing the application status of marketing mix through the 30 websites of sportswear brands. Firstly, a study on the marketing mix strategy of sportswear brands presents that most brands put a high priority on promotion strategy by achieving online marketing. Secondly, compared with the other company brands which have online shopping mall, the website of sportswear brands consists of centered brand image. Therefore, based on the analysis about the variety of products and merchandise picture in each item and detailed information offer of neo-products introduction, marketing mix is insufficient in the website of sportswear and the price strategy has the least information. After website of sportswear brands is connected with online-shopping mall, guidance for its price and product is performed mainly. Consequently the sales promotion strategy of price needs development through the incentive and discount price. Promotion strategy occupies more parts than any other strategy. Especially, it allows a high proportion of the variety of events and information for the customer services. Also it needs to improve its bulletin board and Q&A board on the website for better communication with customers. Furthermore distribution strategy focuses on information such as location, contact numbers and address of the online shopping mall. Although online shopping mall has its own advantage which is marketing on the internet, it is not yet in progress.

  • This study aims to find out the influence of satisfaction of the product and shopping mall attributes on mall reliability, repurchase intention, and recommendation intention in internet open market. For this purpose, this study surveyed 266 male and female consumers in their 20's~40's for empirical analysis who have ever purchased clothing through internet open markets. Respondents are selected using the convenience sampling through online survey in August 2011. For statistical analysis, descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, factor analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and regression analysis are carried out using SPSS for Windows 12.0. The results are as follows; First, it was identified that there were Significant differences in consumers' satisfaction on product and shopping mall attributes according to purchase price, degree of purchase, and the demographics. Second, it was identified that performance, sewing condition, the stability of the form, texture, harmony with other clothes, the response of people, fashionability, seller, origin, detailed explanation on products, interaction with shopping malls, and ease-of-use have significant influence on the reliability of open market. Third, it was identified that easiness to be active in, the stability of the food, design, suitability to T.P.O, price, origin, detailed explanation on products, product assortment, reputation of shopping malls, ease-of-use, and delivery charge policy have significant influence on the repurchase intention. Fourth, it was identified that easiness to be active in, the stability of the form, design, suitability to T.P.O, price, origin, detailed explanation on products, product assortment, reputation of shopping malls, ease-of-use, and delivery charge policy have significant influence on the intention to recommend.

  • Starting the popularity of Korean dramas exported to China in 1996, the Korean wave started around the world market. Afterwards, as the Korean culture itself as well as dramas rapidly emerged as contents of the Korean market, the foreign direct sale consumers who want to buy Korean goods directly online are increasing at an alarming rate. This study each selected 4 domestic shopping malls and 4 foreign famous shopping malls which were conducting a global marketing currently and compared/researched them in the design aspect in order to apprehend if domestic online shopping malls were properly meeting the consumer environment of the foreign market. As a result, it was revealed that domestic online shopping malls conducting the global marketing could not fully understand the internet environment by countries and were going through a limit of the information delivery by SMS, and could not use the visual signs actively which were useful to the meaning delivery. Accordingly, this thesis suggested a plan to actively utilize the variable element considering various screens to the design, plan to efficiently design the text for solving the language problem by countries, and plan to design using the developing IT technology as a solution to those problems.

A Study on Usage of Internet Shopping Mall and Purchasing Tendency of Female College Students (전문대 여대생의 인터넷쇼핑몰 이용과 구매성향에 관한 연구)

  • This paper aimed to provide the basic data on consumers' purchasing tendency required to start and operate online shopping malls on internet. The survey selected the female college students from 19 to 24 years old majoring fabric and fashion design in colleges in Gyeonggi-do. Total 283 questionnaires were selected for statistical analysis. The analysis results are presented below. The first online shopping was during the middle school times showing the highest responses as 63.54%, followed by high school times, college times and elementary school times in that sequence. Most female college students(97.88%) purchased goods from online shopping malls. The purposes of search in online shopping malls were 'need to purchase goods(47.18%)', 'habit/hobbies(27.57%)', 'need to collect data on goods(20.27%)' and 'to relieve stresses(4.98%)'. About 50% of respondents selected 'I visit mainly several online shopping malls. If there is no goods that I try to find, I search other sites and purchase what I want to buy(46.57%).' For the goods purchased from online shopping malls, everyday wears showed the highest ratio, 85.92%. About the time to purchase goods related to trends, most respondents selected 'purchase whenever it is necessary without respect to trends(87%).' Main considerations when the respondents purchased the goods from online shopping malls were 'design(64.98%)', 'price(18.41%)', 'quality(11.20%)', 'company recognition(2.53%)', 'color(1.44%)', and 'materials (1.44%)' in that sequence. 64.62% of respondents had the experience of returning goods after purchasing from online shopping malls. The reason why the respondents returned goods after purchasing from online shopping malls was mainly 'because of size(52.17%)', the response with the highest ratio. 42.24% responded that they experienced damage by washing the goods purchased from online shopping malls. It was found that the respondents didn't think about the country of manufacturing when purchasing goods from online shopping malls.
