This study was aimed at investigating the satisfaction in relation to clothing design and size-fit for nurse uniform in Korea. The subjects were 986 female nurses working in 12 hospitals selected by convenience sampling. The data were collected by questionnaires. Using SPSS package, frequency, percentage, t-test, ANOVA and SNK test were conducted. The results were divided into 2 categories as fellows; 1) Results of the satisfaction with the size-fit and size system of the nurse uniforms : Nurses satisfied at the individual size-fit system than ready-made size system. There was a considerable difference of the satisfaction with the size-fit depending on age and clinical career. And more than half of nurses were needed the concrete and precise size system. 2) Results of the actual design condition and clothing satisfaction : Nurses wore two-piece pants suits more than classical designed one-piece style. The princess-line, convertible collar and yoke design were preferred for nurse uniform with the high satisfaction. 41.6 percent of respondents used the cap obligatory and the white color and a patterned textile were generally used. The used fabrics were only polyester and cotton/polyester mixed spinning.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the fashion style of Kate Middleton, the Royal Family, and to examine the social and cultural influence of Middleton fashion. We selected 314 photographs collected from a Google site and Gettyimages.com April 2011-December 2016 as the final research subjects. We categorized the situation by domestic events, royal events, diplomatic activities, and social contribution activities, and analyzed fashion styles focusing on item composition, color, material, silhouette, detail, trimming, and length. As a result of the study, the one piece was the highest in the combination of items, and the color was the most in white. The color tones were mostly vivid, and the material texture was silky. The image was classic, and the dress code was high in semi-formal. In a situational style, the coat was the most common at the Royal Family events and blue or white of the light tones appeared in the formal style of the classic image. In domestic events, there were many silky textures of modern image, and vivid, strong tonal knee length H line dress was the most prevalent. During diplomatic activities, various colors such as red, green, gray appeared in addition to blue or white and in social contribution activities, many dresses of vivid and dark tones of red appeared in the dress code as semi-formal. In conclusion, the stylistic features of Kate Middleton and the Royal Family are largely in the form of royal and noble, low cost and chic, and body-conscious styling.

Many efforts to develop the domestic fashion industry have continued under the influence of a rapidly changing fashion industry environment. The fashion industry has emerged as a future growth industry leading lifestyle and as a core industry for the culture biz. Since the 2000's the markets that combined party and fashion wear as a new cultural trend has grown and an in-depth study of design development for party wear is required. This study presents basic materials for design development for the future domestic woman character casual brand prior to the design development by analyzing design characteristics of domestic female character casual brands. In the research methods, nine brands were selected based on the discussion of ten fashion specialists and then the brand concept, target, configuration of items, price, and design characteristics were analyzed. The following conclusions were drawn from this study. First, each brand concentrated the main focus on establishing a clear and unique brand identity that meets the needs of consumers to enhance competitiveness in the woman's dress market. To enhance competitiveness, many character casual brands targeting women aged 20's and 30's (including BEART) held party wear goods exhibitions as the market for party wear has increased significantly. Second, according to study results of the selected nine brand designs, it was found that the style characteristic of each brand varies depending on concept. However, all nine brand designs developed various styles such as feminine and cute style making use of laces, ruffles, A line silhouette, colorful motifs, and a stylish style that used layers with various materials along with unique decorations based on romantic emotions. Third, seven hundred and thirty eight pictures of nine brands were analyzed by items without identifying brands. According to the result of the analysis, the percentage of items used by brands was as follows: a one-piece dress was 34.5%, jacket 25.7%, skirt and pants 15.5%, blouse and shirt 13.6%, and tops 10.6%. The result showed that one-piece dresses accounted for the highest percentage. Frill accounted for 16.6%, the highest percentage followed by ribbons at 16% in regards to detail and trimming.

HyangGyo had been built for teaching peoples as a place of educational practice, and also for the order and stability of country through Confucianism. This study analyzed and researched the building structure of Daejeong-HyangGyo in Jeju Island In Daejeong-HyangGyo, unique architectural characteristics are shown as they have been built in an island independent from the mainland. Also up-down system was well reflected in detailed architectural styles. The main temple of Daejeong-HyangGyo was built in the type of one-Chulmok(a subsidiary material of Gongpo and a piece of wood to support the eaves) of which ancon supports a purline from the center of a pillar and two-Ikgong(a piece of wood engraved to put on an ancon), but in the case of the lecture hall, its Gongpo(a piece of wood to support the eaves) was inferior in quality. In the case of Jeju abutments were used in main temples and fire walls were mostly used. In particular, their abutments are difficult to be observed in HyangGyo in the mainland. It is presumed that the abutment and the fire wall used in Jeju Island might be the best solution to protect structures from rain and moisture. To sum up, local characteristics and traditional rules were thoroughly reflected in Dajeong-HyangGyos built in Jeju Island from the aspect of arrangement and detailed style. In conclusion, it is significant that architectural styles, not to mention the other aspects of Jeju culture, were suitably adapted to Jeju Island.
This study is intended to propose the new design course on Contemporary folk Hanbok by researching their preference to Contemporary folk Hanbok. To do so, the definition of styles, preference in details and fitness for the occasion to wear Contemporary folk Hanbok were evaluated and analyzed. The collected materials were investigated in quality and content. As for the data, five Contemporary folk Hanbok brands, in the city were selected and twenty styles from catalog were extracted. The subjected of study were 219 university students living in Seoul and Kwang-ju, Mok-po. they answered the questionnaires, the results of study were following: 1) In style of Contemporary folk Hanbok, there were positive support on longer Jeogori than traditional one and a seamless one-piece skirt at the length of ankle. But they had the negative thought of various spapes shapes related to the styles of Contemporary folk Hanbok. 2) In a view point of coloring on women's Contemporary folk Hanbok, the student supported the saturation more than special preference to similarity or contrast harmony. Students liked the harmony of achromatic colors or same colors up and down which are not traditional 3) In men's Contemporary folk Hanbok, students were for the harmony of same colors in up and down, preferring wool/polyester to cotton or silk100% (traditional materials) in materials 4) It indicates that what students thought generally of the occasional appropriateness of Contemporary folk Hanbok didn't match with the choice of proper occasion on preferred style. The western clothes have difference in design, material, color and manners of co-ordination related to ordinary cloths and out wear, but Contemporary folk Hanbok don't have these difference. Therefore, it is needed to develop the expensive designs discriminated between ordinary clothes and out wear in design, material, color and co-ordination corresponding to the every day life style.

The main purpose of this research is to develop the methodology of objective evaluation of clothing appearance by eye movement analysis. The visual clothing items used in this study were skirt, one-piece, pants and shirt with the style variation of silhouette and details. By observing eye movement during visual evaluation of clothing, we can achieve the basic fixation data of eye movement. Moreover, we developed the Matlab program to extract the fixation coordinate and number of eye fixation on each part of the clothing item. As results, there were differences in the duration of fixation time for each item and the fixation time was not different by styles within a clothing item. However, we could find differences in the fixation time within a style, in other words, we could select the important parts of the clothing by observing the fixation time in a certain clothing item. It is also noted that time required in visual information processing differs depending on the item, and there was a region which contain more information independent with styles in the same item. By developing the objective method of visual evaluation that correspond to human's visual information processing, the results are expected to be applied in the retrieval program in internet shopping mall or in the development of contents for advertisement of clothing.
This study was performed to devise a sizing system for child hospital gown(uniform). The researchers surveyed the usage of child hospital gown and developed a sizing system for the child hospital gown. The suitability of revised size specification of gown was evaluated. 219 child inpatients participated in the survey and 13 child inpatients took part in the wear test. The results of the study were as following. 1) 71.7% of the subjects wore the uniform shirts. however numerous number of subjects did not wear uniform pants that the hospital provided(52.5%). The 68.2% of children who were shorter than 100cm did not wear uniform pants. 2) The most significant reason not wearing the hospital gown was unsuitable sizing system (42.1%). Inconvenience for donning and doffing comes next(26.2%). 3) The least satisfied garment size problems were the pants length and sleeve length. 4) The researchers developed a sizing system for the child hospital gown. The system provides 4 different sizes for children age from 2 months to 12 years. One-piece dress style was suggested for the smallest size(XS). The larger sizes(S. M. L) were designed in pajama style. 5) The sizing system developed in this study was moderately satisfied by the users.
This study was conducted to expand the use of the Gal Ot which has been called Cheju-Do's folk costume. The Gal-Ot has been mainly used the traditional clothes which the farmers have worn during working in the fields. In this study, We firstly developed the dyeing methods used the immature persimmon juice and dyed the dress and fabrics. We secondly designed the diverse Gal-Ot which we can wear for the everyday dress, that is, men's and women's upper and lower clothes and reformed another Korean Style's Dresses and children's one-piece. This study strongly suggested that the Gal-Ot would be used for the everyday wear and the street wear for adults and children and that the improvement of dyeing method used the immature persimmon would be expanded the use of the Gal Fabrics.
It has been since 15 century when Ainu realized themselves as a race. Their folk culture had been formed with the effect of East-northern Asia and cultural exchange with Japanese through the northern trade during 17 -18 centuries. It can be ascertained from the typical festival food and clothing. clothing style and the ornaments of Ainu people. The basics of Ainu people are composed of an unfolding clothes which men and women had wort in one-piece style even though they had lived in the northernmost cold climate. There is no similar Ainu patterns or skill in Kimono, while it is known to be rather related to the area of Amur River, Sakhalin, and the distant Mongolia. Therefore, the traditional pattern of Ainu should be the continental conception which had been skilfully shaped through the trading with the north adding the series of Ainu People.
This study analyzed the group of experts who were related to cubism, selected among the works of 2010~2013 Paris Collection based on F.G.R.(Focus Group Research). According to the results of this study, there were appeared first, 'a one-piece dress' second, 'H silhouette' third, 'cotton', in case of item distribution and frequency. The analysis was done by using the manner of expression, cubical expression, exaggeration, distortion, dismantlement, geometrical division of face, mix-match look, wraparound repetition, asymmetric structure, etc. Based on the outcomes of the analysis on figurative design elements, this study adjusted three manners appearing on cubism fashion style. First, it was 'avant garde manner' of constitution or 'dismantlement' which was compiled into multi-view representations of overlaps and viewpoints by repetitive use of color tone trimming detail. Second, it was 'geomagnetic block placement' which expresses cubism with geometric partitioning of surface and separation of panel by cutting disintegration. Finally, it was 'distortion and simplification of silhouette' which is a distortion created by constitution-line pressed thin with silhouette. It maximizes the beauty of human body outline, which was distorted by three-dimensional-manipulation, and simplified by ellipsis for another shape for the extension or expansion of detail trimming.
