제지공정의 실시간 결함 검출을 위한 영상 기반 웹 검사 시스템 (A Video based Web Inspection System for Real-time Detection of Paper Defects during Papermaking Processes)

  • In this paper, we propose a web inspection system (WIS) for real-time detection of paper defects which can cause critical fractures during papermaking process. Our system incorporates high speed line-scan camera, lighting system, and detection algorithm to provide robust and precise detection of paper defects in real-time. Since edge defects are very crucial to the paper fractures, our system focuses on the edge region of the paper instead of inspecting the whole paper area. In our algorithm, image projection and sub-pixel operation are utilized to detect the edge defects precisely and connected component labeling and shape analysis techniques are adopted to extract various kinds of the region defects. Experimental results revealed that our web inspection system is very efficient for detecting paper defects during papermaking processes.

송전선로 거리표정치에 대한 실 고장거리의 확률적 예측방안 (A study on the prediction method of the real fault distance using probability to the relay data of transmission line fault location)

  • The fault location is obtained from the distance relay that detects the fault of the transmission line. In this time, transmission line crews track down the fault location and the reasons. However, because of having error at the fault location of the distance relay, there is a discordance between real and obtained fault location. As this reason, the inspection time for finding fault location can be longer. In this paper, we proposed the statistical (regression) analysis method based on each type of relay's the historical fault location data and the real fault distance data to improve the problems. With finding the regression equation based on the regression analysis, and putting the relay fault location into that equation, the real fault distance is calculated. As a result of the Prediction fault location, the inspection time of transmission line can be reduced.

고속 라인 스캔 방식을 이용한 CFRP 가공 홀 표면 및 내부 결함 검사 (Measurements of Defects after Machining CFRP Holes Using High Speed Line Scan)

  • Using a line scan camera and a Galvano mirror, we constructed a high-speed line-scanning microscope that can generate 2D images ($8000{\times}8000pixels$) without any moving parts. The line scanner consists of a Galvano mirror and a cylindrical lens, which creates a line focus that sweeps over the sample. The measured resolutions in the x (perpendicular to line focus) and y (parallel to line focus) directions are both $2{\mu}m$, with a 2X scan lens and a 3X relay lens. This optical system is useful for measuring defects, such as spalling, chipping, delamination, etc., on the surface of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) holes after machining in conjunction with adjustments in the angle of LED lighting. Defects on the inner wall of holes are measured by line confocal laser scanning. This confocal method will be useful for analyzing defects after CFRP machining and for fast 3D image reconstruction.

  • This paper deals with a geometric error simulator, measurement and inspection of workpiece errors on the machine tools, and identification and compensation methodology of thermal errors in machining centers. In order to raise the machining accuracy of workpieces a measurement and inspection system on the machine tool is developed. By using MPPGT module Manual and CNC type CMMs are realized on the machining centers. To compensate for geometric and thermal deformation errors of machining centers, a real time and an off line geometric adaptive control system were developed on the machining centers. A vertical and a horizontal machining center equipped with FANUC 0MC were used for experiments. Performance of the systems were confirmed with a large amount of experiment.

  • The maintenance of a ship is essential for safe navigation and hence regular surveys are prescribed according to the rule of classification societies. A hull inspection is generally performed by professional divers, but it takes a long time and the efficiency is low in terms of time and cost. In this research, a ROV(Remotely Operated Vehicle) named as SNU-ROV(Seoul National University-ROV) is developed to replace the conventional inspection method. In this system, the ROV is intended to be used for inspecting ship and harbor because harbor inspection is merging as a safety measure against any possible terror actions. In order to increase the efficiency of inspection, the ROV must be able to measure the exact position of damages. SNU-ROV has a positioning system based on LBL(Long Base Line). In shallow water such as harbor, however, LBL has bad DOP(Dilution of Precision) in the depth direction due to the limited depth. Thus LBL only can not locate the exact depth position. To solve the DOP problem, a pressure sensor is introduced to LBL and a complementary filter is attached by using indirect feedback Kalman filter. Thus developed positioning system is verified by simulation and experiment in towing tank.

Experimental Study for Defects Inspection of CFRP Using Laser-Generated Ultrasound

  • The fabrication process of fiber placement system of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) requires real time process control and reliable inspection to ensure quality by preventing defects such as delamination and void. Therefore, novel non-contact inspection technique is required during the non-destructive evaluation in a fiber placement system. For the inspection of delamination in CFRP, various methods to receive laser-generated ultrasound were applied by using piezoelectric transducer, air-coupled transducer, wavelet transform and scanning laser ultrasonic technique. Laser-generated ultrasound was received with a conventional piezoelectric sensor in contacting manner. Then signal characteristics due to defects were analyzed to find a factor for detecting defects. Air-coupled transducer was used for reception of laser-generated guided wave using linear slit array in order to generate high frequency guided wave. And line scan technique was used to confirm the capability of on-line application. The high frequency component of laser-generated guided wave received with piezoelectric sensor disappeared after propagating through delamination region. Nevertheless, it was failed to receive high frequency guided wave in using air-coupled transducer. The first peak of the frequency spectrum under 100kHz in the delamination region is higher than in the sound region. By using this feature, the line scanned frequency data were acquired in fully non-contact generation and reception of ultrasound. This method was proved as useful technique for detecting delamination in CFRP.

열차 차상신호 인터페이스 검사 시스템 개발 (Development of Interface Inspection System for On-board Signal Equipment)

  • 차내 연산 열차제어시스템은 검수고에 지상신호장치가 설치되지 않은 경우 본선 및 시험선으로 출고하였을 때에만 점검이 가능하여 업무의 효율성 저하 및 안전운행에 위해요인으로 작용한다. 열차의 운행 전 또는 운행 후 안전운행 확보를 위한 측면에서 차상 지상신호 설비 간 인터페이스 동작시험이 반드시 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 지상에서 차상시스템으로 전송되는 가상의 열차 운행정보에 따른 열차 차상신호 장치의 동작상태 확인과 차상에서 지상시스템으로 전송되는 열차 상태정보에 대한 실시간 자동 분석을 기반으로 한 열차 차상신호 인터페이스 검사시스템을 제안하여 대전도시철도 판암기지에 구축, 차상 지상신호 간 인터페이스시험 알고리즘을 검증하였다. 이에 따라 차상 열차제어시스템 점검을 위해 약 30분간의 시험선 운행이 불필요하여 업무의 효율성을 크게 향상시켰다.

  • This paper present an efficient techniques for visual inspection of taped electronic parts, suitable for real time implementation. The main environments of developed system are IBM-compatible personal computer, frame grabber, digital input-output board. It is connected to the programmable logic controller unit of the taping machine in real time. Using a queuing structure, operator or extractor machine can remove easily the defect one from production line. Also, we design a new illumination system for sacquring shape and subface features of object. Therefore, it redue pre-processing step and processing time.

실동하중에 의한 강판형교의 교통하중 분포 (The Distribution of the Normal Traffic Loads on the Steel Plate Girder Bridge)

  • The objectives of the study are to know the strain distribution and modal dynamic behaviour of steel bridge girders by actual traffic load. The live load effect depends on many parameters including the span length, gross vehicle weight, axle weight, axle configuration so on. For the estimation of static and dynamic characteristic, strain data caused by moving loads and traffic characteristics of passing vehicle under actual traffic load have measured using Bridge Weigh in Motion. To confirm the reliability of BWIM system, strain data measured using the $120{\Omega}$ strain gauge under the same condition. It is considered that the data acquired from BWIM system have reliability through the analysis and comparison between stress measured by strain data from BWIM and computed by FEM. Additionally according to the measured strain data of up-line and down-line on the highway, the up-line bridge grows more faster than the down-line bridge and girder 4 and 5 carry more load when vehicles pass the inner line and girder 2 and 3 does when vehicles pass the outer line as this case(the bridge composed with 5 girders).
