광섬유 온도센서를 이용한 진공차단기(VCB) On-line 온도 감시 시스템 개발 (On-line Temperature Monitoring System for Vacuum Circuit Breaker(VCB) using Optical Sensor)

  • 광섬유 온도센서를 이용하여 밀폐형 폐쇄배전반 내부에 설치된 진공차단기(Vacuum Circuit Breaker: 이하 VCB)의 접촉부 및 부싱부 이상 온도변화를 상시 감시할 수 있는 On-line 온도 감시 시스템을 개발하였다. 본 시스템은 온도변화를 측정하는 광센서부, 광신호의 이동 통로역할을 하는 Optical Head부, 변환된 전기신호를 신호처리하고 상위 시스템으로 통신을 수행할 신호처리장치의 세 부분으로 구성되어 있다. 구현한 시스템은 측정 범위가 $-25\;{\sim}\;200^{\circ}C$인 희토류 원소가 첨가된 광섬유 온도센서를 사용하였고, 시스템의 측정 범위는 $-20\;{\sim}\;150^{\circ}C$, 측정 정밀도는 Full Scale의 ${\pm}2\;%$, 측정 주파수는 0.1 Hz이었다. 검출된 온도 값은 Modbus Protocol을 이용하여 상위 시스템으로 송신하도록 구현하였다.

Estimation of Water Quality of Fish Farms using Multivariate Statistical Analysis

  • In this research, we have attempted to estimate the water quality of fish farms in terms of parameters such as water temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, and salinity by employing observational data obtained from a coastal ocean observatory of a national institution located close to the fish farm. We requested and received marine data comprising nine factors including water temperature from Korea Hydrographic and Oceanographic Administration. For verifying our results, we also established an experimental fish farm in which we directly placed the sensor module of an optical mode, YSI-6920V2, used for self-cleaning inside fish tanks and used the data measured and recorded by a environment monitoring system that was communicating serially with the sensor module. We investigated the differences in water temperature and salinity among three areas - Goheung Balpo, Yeosu Odongdo, and the experimental fish farm, Keumho. Water temperature did not exhibit significant differences but there was a difference in salinity (significance <5%). Further, multiple regression analysis was performed to estimate the water quality of the fish farm at Keumho based on the data of Goheung Balpo. The water temperature and dissolved-oxygen estimations had multiple regression linear relationships with coefficients of determination of 98% and 89%, respectively. However, in the case of the pH and salinity estimated using the oceanic environment with nine factors, the adjusted coefficient of determination was very low at less than 10%, and it was therefore difficult to predict the values. We plotted the predicted and measured values by employing the estimated regression equation and found them to fit very well; the values were close to the regression line. We have demonstrated that if statistical model equations that fit well are used, the expense of fish-farm sensor and system installations, maintenances, and repairs, which is a major issue with existing environmental information monitoring systems of marine farming areas, can be reduced, thereby making it easier for fish farmers to monitor aquaculture and mariculture environments.

온라인 수질 감시 시스템의 개발 (Development of On-line Water Quality Monitoring System)

  • 본 논문에서는 실시간으로 수질을 감시하기 위한 온라인 감시시스템을 개발하였다. 개발된 시스템은 중앙 감시 제어부, 데이타 수집기 및 단위 오염 성분 측정기들로 구성되며, 이들을 계층적인 구조로 체계적으로 결합시켜 융통성과 확장성을 가지도록하여 효율적인 데이타 수집 및 관리가 이루어지도록 하였다. 또한 수질측정의 기본이 되는 물의 염도, 전기전도도, 온도, 용존산소량 및 대장균 측정기를 원격 무인 측정이 가능하도록 설계 제작하였다.

효모에 의한 글루타치온의 생산과 공정 모니터링 (Production of Glutathione by yeast and Process Monitoring)

  • 본 연구에서는 글루타치온의 생산 공정을 개발하기 위해 효모의 성장특성, 글루타치온의 생산성 및 공정 모니터링에 관하여 조사하였다. 초기 pH가 4인 경우 40 mg/L 정도의 높은 글루타치온이 생산되었으며 배양온도에 따른 글루타치온의 생산은 3$0^{\circ}C$에서 가장 높게 나타났다. 그리고 최소 배지에 첨가한 시스테인은 배양 12시간에 넣었을 때 글루타치온의 생산성이 높게 나타났다. 생물 반응기를 이용한 회분식 배양에서 기질 농도에 따른 S. cerevisiae 성장 특성 및 글루타치온 생산은 글루코스 농도 20 g/L에서 글루타치온 생산량이 55 mg/L로 가장 높았다. 최소 배양액에 배양 초기에 0.5 % (v/v) 글라이신과 글루탐산을 각각 첨가하고 배양 11시간에 시스테인을 0.5% (v/v) 추가로 첨가한 경우에 글루타치온의 생산량이 많았다. 회분식 배양 후 기질을 첨가하는 유가식 발효 공정에서는 반응기내 글루코스 농도가 0.5 g/L 이하로 유지되도록 글루코스를 계단식으로 공급하였을 때 글루타치온은 약 102 mg/L로 높은 생산량을 나타내었다. 2차원 형광 센서를 이용하여 글루타치온 생산 공정의 온라인 모니터링은 배양액의 배지 조성이나 성장 특성 등 배양기내의 환경 변화에 따라 형광 영역 및 세기가 다르게 나타났으며 실시간 모니터링 된 형광 데이터는 기질 및 생산물 그리고 균체 성장 등의 각종 공정 변수와 좋은 상관성을 보였다. 따라서 2차원 형광 센서에 의한 모니터링은 글루타치온 대량 생산을 위한 실시간 모니터링에 매우 효과적이라 할 수 있다.

저장 온도에 따른 고정화 Photobacterium phosphoreum의 Bioluminescence 안정성의 변화 (The Effect of Temperature on the Stability of Bioluminescence from Immobilized Photobacterium phosphoreum)

  • P. phosphoreum의 고정화에 있어 중요한 것은 Matrix의 선택이며, Matrix로서 sodium algnate만을 사용하여 고정화하는 것보다는 strontnum chloride를 첨가하였을 때 세포의 bio-iummescence 유지도가 증가하였다. 저장 온도에 따른 bio-iummescence 유지도와 관련하여 -$70^{\circ}C,\;-20^{\circ}C,\;20^{\circ}C$에서 저장한 세포의 경우 저장 1일 후에 급격한 bioluminescence의 감소를 보였으나 $4^{\circ}C$ 에서 저장한 세포는 bioluminescence의 유지도가 15일 이상 이어졌다. 따라서 P. phosphoreum의 bioluminescence 안정성에 있어 가장 좋은 결과를 나타낸 것은 2.5%(W/W)sodium alginate와 0.3M(W/V)strontnum chloride 를 사용하여 고정화한 세포였으며 저장 온도는 $4^{\circ}C$였다.

제어 및 모니터링을 위한 스마트 키오스크 개발 (Development of Smart Kiosk for Controlling and Monitoring)

  • In this paper, through the development of a smart panel (LCD kiosk) controller, contents to develop a system that can be operate in a desired environment by operating the window control and ventilation facilities according to the automatic controller operation based on the set values such as temperature, humidity, sunlight, and rainfall. In particular, the MQTT protocol-based sensor module can be directly manufactured and applied at any time based on various communication and power sources such as wireless, wired, and PLC (power line communication) to obtain the desired data, as well as fire, power failure, and intrusion in the house. It is also a system that enables operation and monitoring from a remote location based on the cloud environment by connecting sensors. Kiosks are currently being used in many places, and the demand for them is on the rise, and an active influx of young people can be expected through environmental improvement. It is expected to increase interest and understanding for improvement.

한국전력 가공송전선의 허용전류를 증가시키기 위한 기상모델의 평가 (An Evaluation of Weather Model for Increasing Ampacity in KEPCO's Overhead Transmission Lines)

  • 전력설비 시장의 새롭게 조정된 경제환경으로 인하여 송전선로에 대한 투자와 운용 정책에 근본적인 변화가 초래되었다. 따라서, 최악의 기상조건을 사용하는 형식적인 가정들을 토대로 주어지는 도체의 허용전류를 증가시키기 위하여 현재 설비를 평가하는 것이 중요하게 되었다. 여전히 세계의 대부분 전력회사에서는 정적송전용량을 채용하고 있지만, 몇몇 회사들은 송전용량을 증가시키기 위하여 동적송전용량을 실시간으로 모니터링 하는 등 다양한 시도를 해왔다. 이 연구는 기상모델로 규정된 한국전력공사(KEPCO)의 송전선로의 정적송전용량을 평가하기 위한 시도이다. 과거 기상청에서 관측된 기상 데이터를 근거로 송전용량을 결정하기 위한 몇 가지 환경적 특성을 검토하였다. 그 결과, 한국전력의 송전선로에 계절별 또는 지역별 정격을 적용할 수 있으며, 현재 운용 중인 도체를 새로운 고내열 도체로 교체하지 않더라도 기존 송전용량을 좀더 증대시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • ;The Kwinana Shoreline Fumigation Experiment(KSFE) took place in Fremantle, WA, Australia between 23 January and 8 February, 1995. All measurement systems performed to expectation. The CSIRO DAR(Division of Atmospheric Research) LIDAR measured plume sections from near the Kwinana Power Station(KPS) stacks to up to about 5 km downstream. It also measured boundary layer aerosols and the structure of the boundary layer on some occasions. Both stages A and C of KPS were used as tracers at different times. Radiosonde and double theodolite sounding systems measured temperature, humidity, air pressure and wind structure at the coast(Woodman Point) and at the inland(ALCOA residue dump) site at intervals of roughly two hours. These were supplemented by mid afternoon soundings(radiosonde and single theodolite) by Department of Environmental Protection(DEP) at Swanbourne. The Flinders aircraft measured wind, turbulence and temperature structure of the atmospheric boundary layer, concentrations of $C0_2,\;0_3,\;S0_2\;and\;NO_x$ in the smoke plumes and surface radiation over both land and sea. CSIRO DCET(Division of Coal and Energy Technology) vehicle successfully interceptde many smoke plumes and using a range of tracers will be able to identify the various sources much of the time. Routine data from the DEP and Kwinana Industrial Council(KIC) air quality monitoring networks were also automatically logged. Murdoch University measured surface heat flux at Hope Valldy monitoring station and also at Wattleup monitoring station for the last five days. The heart of the LIDAR system is a Neodymium-doped Yttrium-aluminumgarnet(Nd:Y AG) laser operating at a fundamental wavelength of 1064 nm, with harmonics fo 532 nm and 355 nm. A small fraction of the laser beam is scattered back to the LIDAR, collected by a telescope and detedted by a photomultiplier tube. The intensity of the signal as a function of time is a measure of the particle concentration as a function of distance along the line of the laser shot. The results of nine days special field observations are summarized in detail.etail.

경부고속철도 천성산구간 원효터널공사와 늪지와의 상관성 분석 (Analysis of Correlation Between Wonhyo Tunnel(section of KTX line) Works and Swamp)

  • The Wonhyo Tunnel on KTX railroad line is a section of latest concerns from domestic environmental NGOs, which focus on potential destruction of ecosystem or the like due to ever-depleted swamp water at about 300m upward from the tunnel under construction. As a result of study, out of all swamps in the vicinity of the tunnel, it was found that Mujechi 1st and 2nd swamps have been getting smaller in their area little by little since 50 years ago primarily under the influence of eroded streams around lower swamp and even ever-increasing annual mean temperature. As the result of monitoring about swamp before work, it was found that swamp water depends absolutely on amount of rainfall. Besides, the results of monitoring during work also didn't show any leakage generated in the tunnel during and after excavation works with regard to a wheat field swamp in the most vicinity of the tunnel (80m away). On the other hand, it was found that the range affected by ground water sink in tunnel section without grouting process amounted to about 100m around the tunnel, which indicates that such ground water sink has no significant impact upon most of swamps near the tunnel. As the result of testing by two well tracer test around swamps, it was noted that swamp water didn't run out from the bottom of swamp even with adjacent ground water level sunk in factitious ways. And the results of physical survey showed that swamp kept saturated even in dry season when ground water level becomes lower than the bottom of swamp. Therefore, even supposing that ground water level becomes sunk due to tunnel works, it is estimated that the water level of swamps would be still kept owing to impervious layer(peat beds).

열피로 해석시 응력전달함수에 미치는 열적 재료 성질의 영향 (Effect of Thermophysical Properties on Stress Transfer Function ofr Thermal Fatigue Analysis)

  • For mechanical systems operating at high tempertature, thermal fatigue phenomenon has been recognized as a major cause of mechanical component failures. To evaluate cumulative fatigue damage as a conesquence of thermal fatugue on real time, the stress tranfer function(Green's function) approach is popularly used. The objective of this paper is to investigate the effect of thermophsical properties on the stress tranfer function. For this purpose a modified Green's function approach considering temperature-dependent thermophysical properties is proposed. Two case studies were performed and the proposed approach agrees well with full finite element analysis.
