활주선의 정상 활주 상태 모델을 이용한 WIG선의 이수 상태 추정 (Estimation of WIGs' Take-off State Based on Planing Theory)

  • This paper suggests the mathematical method for the estimation of the required engine output for WIG crafts. The engine size of a WIG craft Is a key parameter in the design stage, because WIGs should overcome the hump drag during the take-off. Therefore, it is very important for a WIG designer to estimate required power and state change during take-off. The mathematical method was developed based on the steady planing state model of a planing boat. Through numerical calculations on various take-off states, it was found that the suggested method could give reasonable estimation of required power and state change during take-off.

온라인과 오프라인의 점포속성 비교 (A Comparison of Store Attributes : Online versus Off-line Stores)

  • The purposes of this study were to examine online store attributes sought and evaluated by online shoppers and to compare those attributes with those of off-line stores. Data were obtained from an online questionnaire survey to 850 online shoppers who were randomly selected from the panel of an online survey agency, and 615 responses were analyzed. The t-tests revealed that there were significant differences on store attributes sought and evaluated by shoppers between online and off-line stores. Price related attributes (i.e., low price and reasonable price) and store name were more important for online stores while product related attributes (i.e., assortment, fashion, and brand) were more for off-line stores. Price related attributes, promotion, and entertainment were highly evaluated on online stores while product related attributes and service were on off-line stores.

  • Nanodiamond films were deposited on Si substrate by introducing a time dependent on/off modulation of $CH_4\;and\;O_2$ flows in a vertical-type microwave plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition system. Surface morphology and diamond quality of the film were investigated as a function of the on/off modulation time interval. The diamond nucleation density on the substrate was enhanced under low temperature and low pressure condition. In addition, the diamond nucleation density was enhanced by increasing the on/off modulation time interval. Enhanced diamond quality was noticeable under the condition of a longer on/off modulation time interval. It was suggested that the nanodiamond nuclei formed the cluster formation.

다채널기록법을 이용한 토끼 망막 신경절세포의 특성 분석 (Characterization of Rabbit Retinal Ganglion Cells with Multichannel Recording)

  • 망막의 신경절세포는 눈에 가해진 시각 정보를 흥분파의 형태로 변환하여 시신경을 통하여 대뇌의 시각피질까지 전달한다. 과거에 사용하여 왔던 방법은 단일 전극을 단일 뉴론의 세포내, 외에 삽입함으로써 특정 시간대에 특정 뉴론만을 기록하는 방법이었으므로 신경망 전체를 통하여 처리되어 나오는 정보를 알아보기에는 적합하지 않다. 다행히 최근에 다채널 전극을 사용하여 여러 신경세포에서 나오는 신호를 동시에 기록할 수 있는 다채널기록법(multichannel recording) 이 개발되었으므로 본 연구에서는 8행 ${\times}$ 8열의 다채널전극을 사용한 다채널기록법을 이용하여 망막신경절세포 군집의 흥분파를 기록, 분석함으로써 단일 신경세포가 아닌 망막 신경망을 거쳐 최종적으로 나오는 신호에 대해서 연구하였다. 전극에 부착된 망막 절편에 2초 동안 빛을 가하고 5초 동안 빛이 차단되는 자극을 반복적으로 인가한 후, PSTH 분석방법으로 망막 신경절세포를 ON 세포, OFF세포, ON/OFF세포의 세가지 유형으로 분류할 수 있었으며, ON 세포: 35.0$\pm$4.4%, OFF 세포: 30.4$\pm$1.9%, ON/OFF 세포: 34.6$\pm$5.3% (전체 망막절편수=8)로 분포되어 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 상호상관(Cross-Correlation) 분석방법을 통해서 인접한 세포들끼리 매우 짧은 시간대에(<1 ms) 동기화된 흥분을 발사함을 확인할 수 있었고, 동기화된 흥분은 6~8개의 세포로 구성된 세포 클러스터에서 일어남을 확인하였다. 즉 개개의 신경절세포들이 빛 자극을 처리함에 있어 독립적으로 작용한다는 기존의 가정과는 달리 인접한 세포끼리는 동기화된 흥분을 보이는 것을 확인하였으며, 이러한 방식은 시세포 수와 신경절세포 수의 불균형으로 인해 초래되는 병목현상을 완화할 수 있는 효과적인 기전으로 생각된다.

Back-off bigram을 이랑한 대용량 연속어의 화자적응에 관한 연구 (A Study on Speaker Adaptation of Large Continuous Spoken Language Using back-off bigram)

  • 본 논문에서는 화자 독립 시스템에서 필요한 화자 적응 방법에 관해 연구하였다. 훈련에 참여하지 않은 새로운 화자에 대해서 bigram과 back-off bigram, MAP와 MLLR의 결과를 비교해 보았다. back-off bigram은 훈련중 나타나지 않은 bigram 확률을 unigram과 back-off 가중치를 적용하므로 bigram 확률 값에 약간의 가중치를 더하는 효과를 가져온다. 음성의 특징 파라미터로는 12차의 MFCC와 log energy, 1차 미분, 2차 미분을 사용하여 총 39차의 특징 벡터를 사용하였다. 인식 실험을 위해 CHMM, 삼중음소(tri-phones)의 인식 단위, 그리고 bigram과 back-off bigram의 언어 모델을 사용한 시스템을 구성하였다.

Baffle design and test for wide-field off-axis telescopes

  • An off-axis telescope has several advantages in optical performance comparing with a conventional on-axis telescope. However, in general, an off-axis telescope has a narrow field of view due to the linear astigmatism caused by the asymmetric structure. It was shown in the previous work that the linear astigmatism can be eliminated by properly configuring parameters in a confocal off-axis reflector system. Furthermore, the third order aberrations of a confocal off-axis telescope can be minimized by optimizing the shape of the mirrors. Despite many advantages, the confocal off-axis telescopes have been evaded because of difficulties of off-axis mirror fabrication, alignment process and unaccustomed off-axis baffle design. The baffle for the off-axis telescope should be designed considering that the effects of stray lights are different because of the asymmetry of off-axis system. In this poster, the design, manufacturing, and test for the baffle and housing of an off-axis telescope are presented.

Lifting off simulation of an offshore supply vessel considering ocean environmental loads and lifting off velocity

  • An OSV (Offshore Support Vessel) is being used to install a structure which is laid on its deck or an adjacent transport barge by lifting off the structure with its own crane, lifting in the air, crossing splash zone, deeply submerging, and lastly landing it. There are some major considerations during these operations. Especially, when lifting off the structure, if operating conditions such as ocean environmental loads and lifting off velocity are not suitable, the collision can be occurred due to the relative motion between the structure and the OSV or the transport barge. To solve this problem, this study performs the physics-based simulation of the lifting off step while the OSV installs the structure. The simulation includes the calculation of dynamic responses of the OSV and the structure, including the collision detection between the transport barge and the structure. To check the applicability of the physics-based simulation, it is applied to a problem of the lifting off step by varying the ocean environmental loads and the lifting off velocity. As a result, it is confirmed that the operability of the lifting off step are affected by the conditions.

  • Even though the number of CO poisoning casualties caused by unintended idling for the vehicles equipped with keyless ignition systems is more than 70, the problem still remains unsolved and became social issue in the US, and Senates introduced the bill which urges NHSTA to make regulation for this accordingly. To meet market safety needs and the regulations, we decided to provide automatic shut-off system very soon. In this paper, we would like to describe how to validate vehicle shut-off timing including defining required tests and case selections considering vehicle condition, garage/room size and temperatures with several assumptions. We believe that safe implementation of the shut-off function is possible via this methodology and the results. As NHTSA must be interested in shut-off timing, the methodology can be enhanced and conclusions could be reflected highly in the future regulation in case we continue this study with NHTSA or any other 3-rd party institutes.

평균대 도움 짚고 몸 펴 뒤 공중 돌아 오르기 동작에 대한 운동학적 분석 (The Kinematics Analysis of Round-off at end of Beam-salto Backward Stretched with Step-out to Cross on Balance Beam)

  • The purpose of this study was to kinematics factors on during round-off at end of beam-salto backward stretched with step-out to cross on balance beam. Four elite female gymnastics players participated as subject of this study. The methods of this study was analyzed using three dimentional analysis. The results and conclusion of this paper is obtained as follows ; 1. The phase of time was the most short time in board touch down phase and board take-off phase. Also, it was shown a more long time in total time compared to previous study. 2. The horizontal displacement of each phase was shown the most high levels in balance beam landing. The vertical displacement was display a non-linearity increase in board take-of phase, and it was shown the most high levels in vertical displacement during landing of balance beam. 3. The horizontal velocity of each phase was shown the most high levels in board touch down, and it was display a gradually decreased levels because flight during board take-of. The resultant velocity of CG on each phase was shown the most high levels in board touch down and board take-off. 4. The angle of hip joint was shown the most high levels as performed a motion in extension state during board take-off, and the angle of knee joint was display a increased levels because of flight cause body extension in board take-off. Also the angle of ankle joint was shown a increasing levels during board take-off. Considering to this results, it is suggest that the change of kinematics factors in board touch down and board take-off is key role on the effective board control.
