LMC로 덧씌우기 보수된 RC보의 계면응력에 관한 연구 (Theoretical Study on Interfacial Stresses at RC Beam Repair-Purpose Overlayed by Latex Modified Concrete)

  • Each year, new technological advancements for repair-purpose are being introduced to overlay the old deterioration of RC bridge deck at highway by latex-modified concrete. The days may come when this old problem will be successfully resolved. While the experimental works and researches are very active at both laboratory and field, only a few theoretical studies were performed on interfacial problems, especially on stress distribution and concentration of RC beam overlayed by latex-modified concrete. The repaired and strengthened structures would induce a premature failure due to the stress concentration at the adhesive layer of different material before the design expected failure. This paper investigated and proposed an analytical model for predicting interfacial shear and normal stresses of RC beam repair-purpose overlayed by latex-modified concrete. This would be used for predicting interfacial stresses and preventing premature failure at interfaces. This study modified Smith-Teng method for applying to cementitious repairing material, which was based on a direct governing equation and linear-elastic approach for interfacial normal and shear stresses. The proposed theoretical model was verified using commercial FEA program, LUSAS, in terms of interfacial stresses predicted by the proposed model and calculated by LUSAS.

  • Expert systems which represent the appllication of artificial intelligence research are now nearly 20 years old. It is said that the present technology together with ever- increasing computing applicability of Combined Hypertext-Expert System Techniques to the design of reinforced concrete structures. Hypertext systems allow the user to control the system while expert systems alone don't give the user any control over the system. Therefore the combination of these two techniques, offered by KnowledgePro, may bring us closer to real user-expert communication. The system developed in this work offers information on design in general by reorganizing ACI Manual 318-89, detailed stress analysis and cross sectional design of simple PC/RC beams and optimum design of reinforced concrete building frames. The system also includes the author's earlier work on guidance to identify types of cracks in concrete. It is also demonstrated how well and conveniently existing programs can be used by reorganizing the user manuals in the context of hypertext.

콘크리트 교량 바닥판 신구접합부의 시공방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on Construction Method for Joints between Old and New Concrete Deck Slabs)

  • When widening or repairing concrete deck slab, there is a joint inevitably. However, joining-construction method have following problem, that is the additional stress in existing part of bridge resulting from the specific process of joining-construction and the difference of amount of shrinkage between new and existing bridge. On this study, compared shrinkage stress of the direct joining construction method with the indirect joining construction method, and concluded the proper substitution rate of expansion cement. The rate of replacement was proper at $10\%$. but more than $15\%$, concrete had excessive expansion and weeker compressive strength. The time of placing closure concrete, considering the shinkage stresses and creep, was suitable in $45\~60$ days after placing the new concrete deck slab.

  • Recently, very-early strength latex-modified concrete(below ; VES-LMC) has been developed for repairing and overlaying the old concrete bridge deck. Early-age defects in high-performance concrete due to thermal and autogenous deformation shorten the life cycle of concrete structures. Thus, it is necessary to examine the behavior of early-age concrete at the stages of design and construction. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the autogenous shrinkage of VES-LMC, having an experimental variables such as retarder and water-cement ratio. The greater the retarder content in VES-LMC, the greater the expansion at early-age. This recommend the small retarder content as possible. The effect of water-cement ratio on early-age behavior is very small, because of the wrapped specimen in order to prevent water evaporation.

  • This research covers the resting of precast/prestressed concrete I-Girder bridge. The research was designed to examine processes for improving the condition evaluation and rating of prestressed concrete bridge. To establish procedures that allow for the full utilization of prestressed concrete bridge capacity, a 28-year old sample was loaded to failure in site. The bridge was constructed with 12 spans, and girders of each span were simply supported. At each loading stage, the deflections, reinforcement strains, prestressing wire strains and concrete strains were examined. Failure behavior was analyzed, and failure load was also evaluated. The test results wee compared to the analytical results from the non-linear finite element analysis.

  • As nation's infrastructure is getting old, nondestructive evaluation of existing structures and construction quality control are getting important. In this thesis, flaw detection techniques of concrete members with asphalt using impact echo test were introduced. This techniques are based on stress wave propagation. In this field impact echo test, As load is gradually increased, frequency is increased. From this change of frequency through impact echo test, we can detect that the crack of bridge ascends and what the depth of crack is.

배합 및 접합면 처리에 따른 신·구 콘크리트의 부착특성 평가 (Assessment of Bond Characteristics between New and Old Concrete in Various Mixtures and Joint Conditions)

  • 콘크리트 구조물의 시공이음부는 적절한 처리에도 불구하고 누수되는 사례가 빈번히 발생되고 있다. 이 연구에서는 이러한 누수 현상이 신 구 콘크리트 간의 부착특성과도 관련이 있을 것으로 보고 이에 대한 실험을 실시하였다. 여러가지 조건하에서 부착특성을 평가하기 위해 신 구 콘크리트의 접합부를 모사하는 시편들을 제작하여 접합부의 접착강도, 휨강도 및 쪼갬인장강도를 측정하였다. 주요 실험 변수는 혼화재의 종류 및 혼입률, 접합면의 처리 방법, 지수판의 종류였다. 그 외 신 구 콘크리트 타설 간격의 영향, 강도시험 재령에 따른 영향도 고찰하였다. 실험 결과 혼화재 사용에 따라 부착강도가 어느정도 증가하는 것으로 나타났는데, 이는 포졸란 반응에 의해 생성되는 칼슘실리케이트 수화물이 접합부의 공극을 메우기 때문으로 생각된다. 한편, 접합면이 거칠고 건조할수록 부착성능이 향상되었으며, 지수판의 표면 거칠기는 지수판의 부착성능에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 시험 방법에 따른 부착강도의 차이가 발생하므로 이를 고려한 평가가 요망된다.

  • 노후 콘크리트포장의 가장 일반적인 보수 방법은 복합 구조체 포장구조인 접착식 덧씌우기 방법이 일반적으로 사용되고 있으며, 이와 같은 복합 구조체는 신 구 콘크리트 간 부착력에 따라 공용 중 차량하중, 환경하중 하에서 일체화된 역학적 거동의 확보유무에 따라 장기 공용성 확보에 커다란 영향을 받게 된다. 현재 상용화 되고 있는 접착 덧씌우기 공법들은 우수한 신구 접착력을 확보하기 위하여 다양한 장비를 이용한 경계면 처리 방식과 더불어 재료자체의 접착력을 향상시키고자 폴리머 등의 혼화재료를 사용하고 있다. 그러나 이들 공법들은 현장 적용 시 객관화된 명확한 적용기준 없이 각 공법에서 제시하고 있는 시공장비 및 사용재료에 의존하여 적용 중이며 이러한 각 개별공법의 기준으로 인하여 현장 관리자들의 품질관리에 어려움이 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 신구 콘크리트 간 부착력 확보에 가장 핵심적인 현장요소인 경계면 처리 방식과 재료의 부착력 확보에 가장 크게 기여하는 폴리머 함량을 변수로 현장시험을 실시함으로써 시공 전 기존 면처리 공정에서의 효과 분석 및 폴리머 혼입률 변화에 따른 부착강도 성능과의 상관성 검토를 통하여 부착강도의 성능을 개선 할 수 있는 현장시공방법을 도출하고자 하였다.
