  • A study was conducted on the preparation of Ramyon using composite flours of raked barley (20 or 30%)-wheat(80 or 70%) in commercial plant scale and on the quality evaluation of Ramyon made from those flours. The naked barley(20%)-wheat(80%) flour gave acceptable Ramyon-making characteristics during the continuous Ramyon manufacturing process. The composite flours had a higher water absorption rate in kneading process and oil absorption value of the Ramyon product than those of wheat flour alone. Even though the Ramyon of composite flours showed a little inferior value compared with wheat flour alone in the cooking and texture characteristics, sensory panel scores of Ramyon indicated that the naked barley (20%)-wheat(80%) flour was acceptable in Ramyon.

윤전 오프셋인쇄에서 인쇄뒤비침에 영향하는 인쇄조건에 관한 연구 (Effect of Printing Conditions on Print-Through in Web Offset Printing)

  • Print-through is one of the most important attributes of print quality and has long been a subject to study. However, some aspects of print through are still in need to be enlighten. In this paper, different kinds of evaluating methods for print through are compared using densitometry, brightness, and image analysis. Printing conditions including ink feed, drying condition, and emulsification rate are systematically changed to effect print-through both on uncoated and coated commercial papers. Also several inks from different makers are introduced and compared in terms of print-through propensity. From the results, densitometry is not a good indicator for print through on the papers in this study. Ink feed has a strong effect on print through, especially for uncoated paper and should be considered in a point of optimum ink feed level in real world. Contribution of faster ink(oil) absorption seems to be more competitive than that of ink(oil) evaporation resulting in severer print-through for hot drying process. It is shown that ink-water emulsification rate increases print through at mild level but easy to decrease it with lower density due to the increase of water contents in emulsion. It is believed that the effect of absorption overwhelms that of density drop at mild emulsification level. This study does not include the effect of ink attributes in detail but shows that distinctive differences in print through may be resulted from various ink-makers and is finalized with some suggestions.

시클로덱스트린과의 포접에 의한 케토코나졸의 비점막 흡수증가 (Enhanced Nasal Absorption of Ketoconazole by Inclusion with Cyclodextrin)

  • Inclusion complexes of ketoconazole(KT) with ${\alpha}^_$, ${\beta}^_$cyclodextrin(CD) and $dimethy1-{\beta}-cyclodextrin$ (CD) and $dimethy1-{\beta}-cyclodextrin(DM{\beta}CD)$ as nasal absorption enhancer were prepared in 1: 2 molar ratios by freeze-drying and solvent evaporation methods. In order to compare with the intrinsic absorptivity of KT in the jejunum(J) and the nasal cavity(N), the in situ simultaneous perfusion method was employed. The in situ recirculation study revealed that KT-CD inclusion complexes with the greater stability constant and the faster dissolution rate proportionally increased the absorption of KT in the J and N of rats. The rank order of apparent KT permeability$(P_{app}\;:\;cm/sec\;{\time}\;1O^{-5}{\pm}S.E.)$, corrected by surface area of absorption, was $5.10{\pm}0.3(N,\; KT-DM{\beta}CD)$ )> $4.13{\pm}0.4(N,\;KT-{\beta}-CD)$ )> $3.52{\pm}0.2(N,\;KT-{\alpha}-CD)$ )> $2.76{\pm}0.3(J,\; KT-DM{\beta}CD)$ )> $2.61{\pm}0.5(J,\;KT-{\beta}-CD)$ )> $2.42{\pm}0.4(J,\;KT-{\alpha}-CD)$ at pH 4.0. The in crease in permeability of $KT-DM{\beta}CD$ inclusion complex was 2.6 folds in the J and 4.5 folds in the N when the perfusing solution was changed from the buffer(pH 4.0) to saline. The absorption rate of $KT-DM{\beta}CD$ inclusion complex after nasal administration was more rapid than those of ketoconazole alone and $KT-DM{\beta}CD$ inclusion complex after oral administration to rats. In comparision with an oral administration of ketoconazole suspension in corn oil, the relative bioavailability was calculated 137.3% for the oral and 195.0% for nasal $KT-DM{\beta}CD$ inclusion complex in rats. The present results suggest that $KT-DM{\beta}CD$ inclusion complex may serve as a potential nasal absorption enhancer for the nasal delivery of ketoconazole.

용매의 세척회수(洗滌回數)가 건조비지의 품질에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Number of Washings with Solvents on Quality of Dried Soymilk Residue)

  • 콩우유 가공중 부산물로 생산되는 비지를 acetone과 ethanol로 세척한뒤 저온에서 건조하였을때 세척회수가 건조비지의 건조시간(乾燥時間)과 이화학적(理化學的) 성질(性質)에 미치는 영향을 조사하였으며 건조비지가 밀가루와 혼합(混合)될 때 수분과 기름의 흡수능력(吸收能力)의 변화를 측정하였다. 비지와 용매의 비율을 1:1.5로 하여 세척회수(1-5회)가 증가함에 따라 건조속도와 단백질 함량의 증가 그리고 지방과 총당의 감소가 있었으며 수분과 기름의 흡수능력도 증가하였다. 전반적으로 acetone은 3회(回), ethanol은 2회(回) 세척후 이들 성질의 변화가 완만해 졌으며 acetone 세척이 ethanol보다 건조속도나 색상 그리고 지방함량의 감소에서 유리함이 밝혀졌다. 한편, 건조비지를 밀가루와 혼합할때 비지의 혼합비율이 증가하면서 거의 직선적으로 수분과 기름의 흡수능력이 증가됨을 보여 주었다.

Rectal Absorption of Omeprazole from Syppositories in Rabbits

  • Rectal absorption of opeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, from suppositories was studied in rabbits. The suppositories were prepared by the conventional melting method with two types of bases, water-soluble polyethylene glycol (PEG) 4000 and oil-soluble Witepsol H15 bases, and administered intractally (ir) to rabbits at a dose of 10 mg omeprazole/kg. The plasma omeprazole concentration-time profiles of the two suppositories were compared with those following intravenous 9iv) administration of the same dose. There were no significant differences between the two suppositories in bioabailabilities and peak plasma concentrations $(C_{max})$. Bioavaiabilities and $C_{max}$ of PEG- and Witpsol suppositories were 30.3 and 33.9%, and 7.0 and $5.6\mug/ml$, resepectively. However, PEG suppository showed significantly (p<0.05) shorter time to reach peak plasma concentration $(T_{max})$ mean absorption time (MAT) and mean residence time in the plasma (MRT) than Witepsol suppository. The $T_{max}$ MRT nad MAT were 25.0, 83.0 and 38.5 min for PEG syppository, but were 90.0, 122.5 and 78.0 min for Wiepsol supposiotory, respectively. These differences between thw two suppositories could be explanined by the difference in the in vitro dissolution rates between the suppositories. The dissolution of omeprazole form PEG suppository was reportedly much faster than that from Witepsol suppository. It suggests that plasma profiles of omeprazole, especially $C_{max}$ MAT and MRT, could be controlled by modifying the in vitro dissolution rate of the drug from the suppositories. Above results suggest that rectal suppository is worth developing as an alternative dosage form of omeprazole to the conventional oral preparations which need sophisticated treatments, such as enterix coating, to prevent acid degradation of the drug in the stomach fluid.

감성돔, Acanthopagrus schlegeli 수정란과 부화자어의 발달에 미치는 3,5,3'-triiodo-L-thyronine (T3)의 침지처리 효과 (Effects of 3,5,3'-triiodo-L-thyronine (T3) Immersion on Development of Fertilized Egg and Newly Hatching Larva of Black Seabream, Acanthopagrus schlegeli)

  • The hatching of fertilized egg and early development of larval black seabream, Acanthopngrus schlegeli by immersion of 3,5,3'-triiodo-L-thyronine ($T_3$) with doses of 0.01~0.5 ppm in tank were examined for early development periods and compared with control fish immersed by 0.1 N NaOH and 99% alcohol. Larvae were fed with rotifers for first 5 days during experimental period. Yolk absorption of larvae from $T_3$ immersion groups were significantly faster than that of control. Although hatching times among each groups were not significant difference. the hatching rates of larvae in higher doses (0.1 ppm and 0.5 ppm $T_3$ groups) were significantly lower than control. The results of $T_3$ immersion experiments to newly hatching larvae indicated that exogenous $T_3$induced significant faster the absorption of yolk and oil globule, faster the development of myotome and digestive duct and higher the growth rate of larvae than larvae of control. These results indicate that $T_3$ immersion supplements appear to confer a distinct advantage to eggs and larvae of black seabream, which is in early fragile developmental stage.

피부흡수 대체시험법의 조건설정을 통한 수용성, 지용성 물질의 투과 특성 연구 (A Permeation Characteristics Study of Water- or Oil-soluble Substances through Condition Setting for the In Vitro Skin Absorption Method)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to compare permeation characteristics in three skin types using oil-soluble benzoic acid and water-soluble caffeine after method condition optimization based on OECD guideline 428. Methods: A Franz diffusion cell, a reliable alternative method for skin permeation, was used. One-milliliter samples were taken and immediately replaced with fresh solution in the receptor chamber at regular time intervals (1, 2, 4, 7, 10 and 24 hr). The amount of test substances was measured by LC-MS/MS. Results: The permeation rate increased dose-dependently, and the permeation orders were $KeraSkin^{TM}$ > hairless mouse full skin > human cadaver epidermis for skin types, and benzoic acid solution > caffeine solution > benzoic acid cream > caffeine cream for type of test materials. Conclusion: According to the definitions of Marzulli, benzoic acid and caffeine would be classified as 'fast' and 'moderate' compared with the permeation of other chemical species. The setting conditions and permeation characteristics performed in this study are expected to contribute to future permeation studies.

면류용 알칼리제 처리가 건면의 조리특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Alkali Salts Adding on the Cooking Quality in Dried Noodles)

  • The effects of alkali salts adding on the cooking quality improving in dried noodles were investigated in the good texture maintaining for preventing solid soluble losses ,through chemical analysis and actual manufacturing practice ,the following results were obtained. Experiments were took a special flour of ASW:DNS=70:30, thickening agent(TA) composed of K2CO3 58%, Na2CO3 36% and Na4P2076%, and emulsified oil(EO) mixing of corn oil 44%, polysorbate 23%, emulsifier(ester of glycerin and fatty acids) 21%, soy lecithin 12%. When the mixing ratio of TA and EO to flour, is 0.03 and 1.5%(w/w) or morel than, satisfied the good quality. The water soluble solid matters content of the lowest 3.2% in the treating group that TA and EO is 0.03 and 1.5%(w/w) respectively, comparing to the 7.3% in the control group provides a excellent cooking quality. The research achieves the similar effects at specific gravity, water absorption ratio, weight increasing rate and volume expansion ratio. According to appearance test the more treating of TA turn the noodle into deeper yellow-green color. Turning to the deeper yellow color according to the increasing of EO provides better

참취를 이용한 스낵제품의 이화학적 및 관능적 특성 (Physicochemical and Sensory Characteristics of Snack Using Cham chwi(Aster scaber))

  • 본 연구는 우리 나라의 여러 가지 산채류 중에서 참취(학명: Aster scaber)를 이용한 스낵제품의 참취와 기름의 첨가 수준에 따른 이화학적 및 관능적 특성을 조사하여 최적수준을 알아본 것으로 요약하여 보면 다음과 같다. 참취와 기름의 첨가량에 따른 스낵의 이화학적 특성을 조사한 결과 L값(명도)은 참취의 첨가량이 증가할수록 낮아졌고, 기름의 첨가량이 증가할수록 높았다. 갈변도는 참취의 첨가량과 기름 첨가량이 증가할수록 감소하였다. 기름 흡수율은 참취의 첨가량이 증가할수록 크게 감소하였다. 팽화율은 참취의 첨가량이 증가할수록 감소하고 기름의 첨가량이 증가할수록 증가하였다. Texture analyzer로 측정한 스낵의 경도는 참취의 첨가량이 증가할수록 증가하고 기름첨가량이 증가할수록 감소하였다. 참취와 기름의 첨가량에 따른 스낵의 관능적 특성을 조사한 결과 어두운 정도와 참취향은 참취첨가량이 증가할수록 증가하였고, 기름첨가량이 증가할수록 약간 감소하였다. 경도는 참취첨가량이 증가할수록 증가하고 기름첨가량이 증가할수록 감소하였다. 바삭바삭한 정도는 참취첨가량이 증가할수록 감소하고 기름첨가량이 증가할수록 증가하여 경도와 반대 경향을 보였다. 기름진 정도는 참취가 증가할수록 감소하고 기름이 증가할수록 증가하였으며, 짠맛은 참취첨가량이 증가할수록 증가하였고, 기름첨가량이 증가할수록 감소하였다. 참취 스낵을 제조하기 위한 요인들의 최적 수준은 바람직한 특성인 바삭바삭한 정도가 5점 이상이고, 바람직하지 않은 특성인 기름진 정도가 5점 이하일 때 경제성을 고려하여 팽화율이 최대가 되는 처리 조합을 최적수준으로 결정하였다. 그 결과 최적 수준은 참취 8.6%첨가, 기름 7.6%첨가로 결정되었다. 본 연구 결과로 개발된 참취 스낵을 1일 약 70개(90g) 섭취할 경우 한국인 1일 영양권장량에서 권장하는 총 식이섬유량 20g의 1/2을 만족시키고 우리 나라 국민에게 가장 섭취량이 낮은(67%) Vitamin A의 권장량인 700 R.E.중 139 R.E.를 공급할 수 있으며, flavonoids 1.2mg도 공급할 수 있다. 따라서 참취 스낵의 이용은 노약자와 어린이 등의 섬유소를 쉽게 섭취할 수 없는 계층의 사람들이 쉽게 섭취할 수 있어 건강증진에 크게 도움이 될 것이며, 참취의 계절적 제약 및 저장기간이 짧은 단점도 보완할 수 있어 새로운 신토불이(身土不二) 식품개발로 인한 농가소득도 기대할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.
