The purpose of this study was to examine the conditions of , and needs for improvement in the University professor`s office. To fulfill this task, the way of using office environment, attitudes for work environment intentions and features to improve, and preferred characteristics were examined and scrutinized. The data for this study were collected through a questionnaire survey and analyzed with SAS Package software. 279 professor at Yonsei University participated in the study. The detailed aspects of conditions, various ways and their priorities for improvement of the environment were described. These results are expected to be used as basis for the design of office space as it applies to facility management perspectives-which has not been implemented in Korea.

For successful outcome of real estate development projects, it is important to understand the potential tenants as they drive the demand for properties. The aim of this study is to investigate tenant characteristics of the Australian green office building sector. The specific objectives are to; (1) compare and contrast the increment trend of green buildings within the green office building sector; (2) identify the tenancy profile of green buildings; (3) ascertain the possible industry concentrations within the current green building sector; and (4) explore the relationship between green building occupants' characteristics and their tenancy. Descriptive statistics shows that Finance, Insurance and Real Estate (FIRE) industries along with government owned companies are the major tenants of green office buildings in the NSW State of Australia. In particular, real estate companies occupy more than half of the NSW based green office buildings whilst one third of them are the tenants of the 6-star rated buildings - the highest rated building in the current form of Australian Green Star accreditation scheme.

Recently, as the characteristics and production methods of the construction industry are changing, and women are actively entering the society, the view of women in the construction industry is also gradually changing. Although the government is currently improving the system to expand women's participation, nevertheless, women's participation in the construction industry is very low compared to other industries. The scope of this study was limited to presenting the actual working environment and improvement plans for male and female engineers in the design office. As a result of the survey on the insufficient part of the work environment, the item 'rest space such as lounge, bathroom, and conference room was narrow' was highly surveyed for men, and 'there was no rest space that required gender discrimination' was highly surveyed for women. As for the improvement measures, both men and women were surveyed highly in the category of 'My place for personal work'. In this study, the scope of the study has a limitation in that it only presents the actual situation and improvement measures for the working environment for male and female engineers in the design office.

Purpose: This study aimed at improving the indoor environment of the office building by measuring the indoor environment and conducting a survey. Method: The measurement was conducted from January 13 to March 16 in 2012, targeting 44 sites in same office building located in Seoul, South Korea. The lists of measurement such as dry-blub temperature, relative humidity, formaldehyde (HCHO), asbestos, carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and particle pollution (PM10) were measured. In addition, illuminance which belongs to light environment and noise in sound[acoustical] environment were measured respectively. Result: The buildings showed overall pleasant conditions. In terms of the thermal, air, sound, and visual environment, each measurements were satisfied with the requirements in standard, within pleasant ranges, except several sites. However, the survey results were revealed that the office workers were mostly dissatisfied with their indoor environment. Given that the measured values were mostly within standards, the results of survey might have resulted from a compensation mentality biased toward the subjects in psychological terms.

Manufacture enterprise's environment is felt difficulty more and more by suddenly rise of oil and raw material price lately. In such difficult environment, Toyota Productive System is becoming good example to all enterprises because Toyota competitive power is rising every year. Now, Toyota Company is becoming benchmarking target. In this paper, we survey Toyota Production System, we try to apply advantage of Toyota Production System to Office Work. We propose TOOF (TOyota OFfice) system which is applied to modifying Toyota Production System in financial aid Business. We hope that Office Work are improved through TOOF system.

The purpose of this study is to present the rational decision process for new ward office building site. AHP Technique used in this study considers both quantitative and qualitative factors on the basis of decision maker's intuitive, reasonable or unreasonable judgement by giving weight through mutual comparision of publicity factors. The evaluaion factors were refer to another five ward office there were executed these kinds of new site selection before. These standards are composed of 6 middle groups and classified into 9 detailed standards. Alternative building sites are five places in this district. The final evauation standards are Accessibility, Urban Expansion Possibility. Distrct balance, Environment, Financing. Development easiness. And It became clear that the priority of evaluation is Financing > Urban expansion > Accessibility > Development easiness > District balance > Environment. In conclusion, it was determined that alternative " E " is the most adequate place for new ward office building.

This paper presents on the evaluation of thermal comfort in office on offshore. In living quarter of offshore, strict air conditioning performance is required to office on offshore and displacement ventilation is applied to office space which rooms are required to confirm the thermal environment. The computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is performed to calculate the temperature, air velocity in office and thermal comfort such as PPM & PPD is evaluated by the CFD result.

The purpose of human factor study is to help the people in good conditions, and to increase the efficiency of physical productivity and mental creativity Also for the furniture design field, the applications of human scale dimensions are considered as the very important aspects. For the design of the office systems furniture, designer must consider the onveniences of variable users as much as possible. To design the office systems for the various work environment, it is necessary to analyze the human scale dimensions according to the furniture items and the user behaviors. In these days, many countries are interested about the workplace ergonomic regulations to reduce a class of injuries called ‘Musculoskeletal Disorders(MSDs)’ by controlling risk factors. In this study, I intend to research and to analyze the features of human scale dimensions and the user behaviors of office environment, and propose some office furniture design tips.

After the rapid growth of economics in South Korea 1960'1, the number of workers in the whole land in-creased day after day along with the growth of industry. As the growth of the third industry occurred quite rapid-ly, the rate of office workers went up high. Accordingly the business office has been changed the primary work-ing space and recognized the main space as much as the living space. As a result of conceptual change about working place, the business office has an important ef-fect on worker's liberal and psychological environment. In order to provide the office workers with the office work-ers with the suitable and convenient working environ-ment, Socio-psychological factors were first considered at the first stage of construction planning. In this paper, I would understand both how office workers take up their attitudes of Socio-psychological point according to the office type and what they claim for their office environment. This understanding offers us fundamental data in office plan. This paper starting from this purpose got the following conclusions. *Office workers are violated their hearing privacies rather than their visual privacies. They are dissatisfied with ensuring their own spaces and satisfied with their nature of domain. *In the feeling of satisfaction by office type, they are on the whole satisfied with their hearing privacies, their visual privacies, their own space, and the nature of do-main in the closed type and mixed type offices. In open type offices, their visual privacy is often violated. *In the property by individual, men feel more violated their hearing privacies than women. In the personal spa-se and domain, women are less stabilized psycholo-gically than men. *The analysis of the attitude by position, a man of po-sition is more violated his hearing privacy and does not understand each other. The common run of workers are violated their visual privacies and the nature of separa-tion.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the color scheme based on the color image types through the color analysis of workstation furniture which is on the market. This color scheme of the workstation furniture is expected to be give the comfort to office environment when planning office. For this study, It is selected the three furniture firms that have a brand of office furniture and their web site that is showed color sample of furniture. The following researches are drawn based upon the purpose. First, the color image types of interior space is classified and the color image words that are suitable for each types is extracted based on the results of existing literature. Second, the distribution of its hue and tone is analysed after collecting the each firm's color sample of desk top, panel and chair. Third, the color image appearing in each furniture color is analysed by color image scale positioning. Forth, the color scheme of desk top, panel and chair is suggested by its color scheme palette. The result of this study is expected to help comfortable environment by providing the color scheme for selection of furniture color in work space. Not all color of each furniture is sufficient to be combined color scheme, the result is indicated that the color scheme of workstation by color image types is possible for color planning in office environment.
