  • COMS (Communication, Ocean and Meteorological Satellite) shall be operated with two remote sensing payloads, MI (Meteorological Imager) and GOCI (Geostationary Ocean Color Imager). Since both payloads have rotating mechanisms, the dynamic coupling between two payloads is very important considering the pointing stability during GOCI operation. In addition, COMS adopts a single solar wing to improve the image quality, which leads to the unbalanced solar pressure torque in COMS. As a result, the off-loading of the wheel momentum needs to be performed regularly (2 times per day). Since the frequent off-loading could affect MI/GOCI imaging performance, another suboptimal off-loading time needs to be considered to meet the AOCS design requirements of COMS while having margin enough in the number of thruster actuations. In this paper, preliminary analysis results on the pointing stability and the wheel off-loading time selection with respect to MI/GOCI operations are presented.

An Optical Cavity Design for an Infrared Gas Detector Using an Off-axis Parabolic Mirror

  • This study examined a method for designing the optical cavity of a non-dispersive infrared gas detector. The infrared gas detector requires an optical cavity design to lengthen the ray path. However, the optical cavity with multiple reflecting surfaces has off-axis aberration due to the characteristics of the reflecting optical system. The rays were parallelized by using the off-axis parabolic mirror to easily increase the ray path and eliminate off-axis aberration so that the rays are admitted to the effective area of the infrared detector uniformly. A prototype of an infrared gas detector was produced with the designed optical cavity to confirm the performance.

구동한계를 고려한 ON/OFF 형식 구동시스템의 구동위치 제어기법 설계 (Design of Control Method for ON/OFF Type Actuation System Considering Actuation Limit)

  • 본 논문에서는 ON/OFF 작동과 같이 단순화된 구동 메커니즘을 가지면서도 구동 명령 한계가 있는 시스템의 구동 위치 제어 기법 설계를 수행하였다. 가장 먼저 구동기 시험데이터를 이용하여 고려되는 구동기의 PWM 명령을 입력으로 하는 비선형/선형 구동 동역학 모델링을 수행 하였다. 선형화된 모델을 이용하여 목표로 하는 제어 성능 요구조건을 만족시키기 위한 고전적인 PI 제어기법을 설계하였으며, PWM 제어명령 한계에 따른 제어 성능 감소를 해소하기 위한 제어 알고리즘을 제안하여 유효 제어 범위 내에서 설계된 제어 성능이 구현되도록 하였다. 최종적으로 제어 시뮬레이션을 통해 설계 방법을 검증하고 해당 제어기법 적용에 따른 성능 개선 정도를 평가하였다.

  • While demands for express couriers service are rapidly increasing due to recent progress of electronic commerce, express courier service companies are struggling to take a larger market share through ongoing improvement in their service processes. Cut-off time is the time limit that all orders delivered before the limit are guaranteed for the delivery within the very next day. Extending cut-off time for express service centers can provide the express company with increase of total sales, but it may also cause increasing the possibility not to satisfy customer needs due to work delay in the consolidation terminal. We develop a design model for express courier service network based on a recursive optimization/simulation procedure. With the optimization model, we seek key design parameters such as the cut-off time for express service centers and the capacity of the consolidation terminal maximizing total sales profit while satisfying the desired level of performances. With the simulation model, we consider the dynamic nature of the network and obtain relationships between the design parameters and the performance measures with the multiple linear regression. The validity of the model is examined with an example.

  • Recently TEIS model, Two-zone model aid Stanitz equations are often used for off-design performance prediction of centrifugal compressor and pump. The prediction results often agree well with experimental data. However these models and equations have some important variables which have a great influence on overall performance prediction me. But no systematic study about these variables has been performed. So, in this paper, a systematic study about these variables influence on overall performance prediction owe is peformed. Finally the meaning of the variables and the research to be undertaken are discussed.

  • This study simulated the effect of steam injection on the performance and operation of a gas turbine combined heat and power (CHP) system. A commercial simple cycle gas turbine was analyzed. A full off-design analysis was carried out to investigate the variations in not only engine performance but also the operating characteristics of the compressor caused by steam injection. Variation in engine performance and operation characteristics according to various operation modes were examined. First, the impact of full steam injection was investigated. Then, operations aiming to guarantee a minimum compressor surge margin, such as under-firing and partial steam injection, were investigated. The former and latter were turned out to be relatively superior to each other in terms of power and efficiency, respectively.

PAC용 양흡입 시로코홴의 공력성능에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Aerodynamic Performance of Double Inlet Sirocco Fan for a Package Air Conditioner)

  • The aerodynamic performance of double inlet sirocco fan is strongly dependent upon the design factors of impeller and scroll. In this paper, the change of scroll size was adopted to investigate the aerodynamic performances of double inlet sirocco fan and indoor PAC. Especially, a scroll expansion angle and a cut-off clearance ratio were considered to change the scroll size. In addition, the installation depth between double inlet sirocco fan and indoor PAC was considered. As a result, the total pressure efficiency of double inlet sirocco fan shows about 62%~73% according to the change of scroll expansion angles. Moreover, the flowrate performance of indoor PAC is the best at the condition of a scroll expansion angle of 8°, an installation depth of 15 mm and a cut-off clearance ratio of 8%.

  • 본 논문에서는 차등서비스 망의 성능 평가 문제를 다룬다. 성공적인 성능 평가를 위하여 적절한 트래픽 모델에 의하여 네트워크상의 실제 트래픽을 정확히 나타낼 수 있는 능력이 필수 요소이다. 실제 트래픽 측정의 성질에 대한 많은 연구 결과는 웹과 텔넷, P2P 트래픽을 포함하여 인터넷 트래픽에 대한 장기간-의존성을 증명하였다. 장기간 의존성은 자기유사성에 의하여 효과적으로 표현될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 중첩된 On-Off 소스 모델, FFT-FGN 모델과 RMD 모델에 대한 특성 분석을 기반으로, 중첩된 On-Off 소스 모델을 이용하여 자기유사트래픽 발생기를 설계하고 구현한다. 생성된 트래픽의 자기유사성은 TCPdump 데이터의 패킷 도착 간격을 조사하여 확인하였다. 또한 구현된 트래픽 발생기를 차등서비스 망의 성능평가에 적용하여 On/Off 모델의 $\alpha$ 값에 대한 성능이 영향과, CBQ(Class-Based Queueing)에 의한 EF(Expedited Forwarding)/BE(Best Effort) 클래스 트래픽의 성능을 관찰한다.

유전 알고리즘을 이용한 탈 설계 영역에서의 항공기용 가스터빈 엔진 결함 진단 (A Study on Defect Diagnostics of Gas-Turbine Engine on Off-Design Condition Using Genetic Algorithms)

  • 본 연구는 운용중인 항공기의 가스터빈엔진을 유전 알고리즘을 이용한 실시간 결함진단을 통해 엔진 운용의 안정성과 신뢰성을 확보하는 것이 목적이다. 대상엔진인 터보샤프트엔진의 구성품 중 성능 저하는 압축기, 가스발생기 터빈, 동력 터빈 중 한 구성품에서만 발생한다고 가정하였다. 설계점에 비해 탈 설계영역에서의 학습 데이터는 약 200배 이상으로 증가하였으며, 따라서 요구 수렴도를 만족시키기 위한 방대한 학습시간이 요구된다. 진단오차를 만족시키고 학습시간을 단축시키기 위해 최적분할을 사용하였고 그 결과, 오차범위 5% 이내로 진단됨을 확인하였다.

인간동력 항공기 임무 형상 선정 연구 (Study on the Selection of Mission Profiles of Human Powered Aircraft)

  • Human powered aircraft (HPA) is an airplane that uses only human power for its propulsion. The human power as a power resource and an engine produce the available power that is very crucial to the success of the HPA. In the present paper, the human power characteristics for completing the mission profile are discussed focusing on the take-off and climbing performance. The mission profile is designed by using an athlete's power generation. It is believed that present analysis can be helpful for the mission profile design and athletes exercise program development for the HPA competitions.
