Epifluorescence microscopy and direct viable counting methods have shown that only 0.01-0.1% of all the microbial cells from marine environments form colonies on standard agar plates. To culture novel marine microorganisms, high throughput culturing (HTC) techniques were developed to isolate cells in very low nutrient media. This approaches was designed to address microbial metabolic precesses that occur at natural substrate concentrations and cell densities, which are typically about three orders of magnitude less than in common laboratory media. Approximately 5000 cultures of pelagic marine bacteria were examined over the course of 3 years. Up to 14% of cells from coastal seawater were cultured using this method, a number that is 1400 to 140-fold higher than obtained by traditional microbiological culturing techniques. Among the cultured organisms are many unique phylogenetic lineages that have been named as new phyla (7), orders (2, 5, 12), families (3), and genera (1, 4, 6). Over 90% of the cells recovered by this method do not replicate in standard agar plating, the most common method of microbial cell cultivation.

Some species of dinoflagellates were considered as one of the causative organisms of PSP(Paralytic Shellfish Poison) or DSP(Diarrhetic Shellfish Poison). Fish and shellfish are intoxicated by feeding of toxic plankton, sometimes human is intoxicated by feeding on these intoxicated fish and shellfish. In past ten years, the physiological and ecological studies of the toxic plankton has been investigated for development of monitoring system and preventation and control measures of PSP. However, in our country still little is known on a research for the toxic dinoflagellates. This paper reviews the general biology, taxonomic problem, physioecology and culture method of the toxic planktons such as Protogony-aulax and Dinophysis.

Korea has a systemic problem with lack of engine maintenance, especially among the Commercial Fishing Vessel fleet. This results in a inordinate percent of SAR call-outs for vessels with engine failure. These SAR call-outs lead to a free tow to shore by KCG or by one of its volunteer associates. Although these tows are not a terrible economic burden on KCG, it is a burden in terms of time and resources mis-allocated. This paper proposes a Commercial Fishing Vessel Examination (CFVE) program modeled after the program run by USCG. It is expected that adopting the CFVE program, KCG may be able to create a culture of safety among fishermen; thus, replicating the USCG's success rates.

This study develops an Education framework for users who need public open data for workplace etiquette education in a timely manner by mobile application. It facilitates utilizing efficiently Workplace etiquette contents that scattered in various platforms such as blogs, Youtube and web-sites run by private education agencies. Furthermore, it makes Public open data for workplace etiquette through gathering 'metadata', which is a comprehensive source of workplace etiquette. Accordingly, framework changes recognition about necessity of workplace etiquette education positively and suggests method that can promote effective workplace etiquette education. If the system in the study can provide public open data of workplace etiquette education, many young job applicants and workers will have a proper perception on it and sound workplace etiquette culture will be settled in the companies. Public data has been rising as a vital national strategic asset these days. Hopefully the public data will pave a way to discover the blue ocean in the market and open up a new type of businesses.

The importance of maritime sector in Korea has been increasingly recognized in recent days. As the country enters the $\ulcorner$new ocean era$\lrcorner$, the oceans are often regarded as holding the keys to solve the problems of modern industry associated with changing environment as well as changing societies and national politics. This paper attempts to address the national maritime R&D policies and their relative importances. In the methodology, Saaty's analytic hierarchy process model is used to evaluate and rank the selected maritime R&D projects which have a wide range of characteristics and policy implications. The criteria used for policy evaluation relates specifically to the Korea's evaluation needs and culture, and those criteria are weighted according to their relative importance as perceived by the maritime R&D specialists.

Olive flounder and Black rockfish comprises around 90％ of the total fish culture in Korea. Most of the olive flounder is consumed as raw fish meat “saengseonhoe”, as like a sashimi in Japan. Also, texture is particularly a important factor which determine the quality of raw fish meat in Korea. Many works have attempted to improve of texture such as arai, electrical stimulation and compulsory exercise of fishes. (omitted)

Simon Stevin, a mathematician active in the Netherlands in early seventeenth century, parlayed his mathematical talents into improving navigation skills. In 1605, he introduced a technique of calculating the distance of loxodrome employed in long-distance voyages in his book, Navigation. He explained how to calculate distance by 8 different angles, and even depicted how to make a copper loxodrome model for navigators. Particularly, Stevin clarified in the 7th copper loxodrome model on the unique features of equiangular spiral curve that keeps spinning and gradually accesses from the vicinity to the center. These findings predate those of Descartes on equiangular spiral curve by more than 30 years. Navigation, a branch of actual mathematics devised for the survival of sailors on the bosom of the ocean, was also the first step to the discovery of new mathematical object.

This study aim is to effectively reduce the time that was required for the analysis on an existing communication protocol with the industrial monitoring equipment. We analyzed the collected data with the Modbus protocol and NMEA0183, which is widely used in industrial monitoring. and User will be easy converting to data for use on each devices. The main board of the protocol converter was used AVR128, and RS232C and Ethernet was configured to enable communication.

LH공사가 인천광역시 서창지구에 총 약 210만$m^2$ 규모, 1만4천여 가구, 약 5만여명이 거주하는 대규모 자족도시 단지를 조성하고 국민 공동주택을 공급하고 있다. 인천 서창지구는 인천의 대표적 주말 나들이 공원인 인천대공원이 근접해 있고 장아산, 거마산, 관모산, 장수천 등 산과 들, 습지(그린)와 바다(블루)로 둘러싸여 있으며, 시립미추홀도서관, 문학경기장, 문화예술회관, 길병원, 백화점, 인천터미널, 남동구청, 인천시청 등 풍부한 생활인프라와 함께 고속도로, 지하철 및 각종 도로가 결합된 멀티 교통망을 두루 갖춘 친환경 생태 해양 문화도시(Ecological & Culture Ocean City)이다. 해성산업개발(주)(대표 이연풍)는 서창2지구 중 1블럭 아파트 기계설비공사를 지난 해 10월 완공 후 3월 6일 입주 전까지 5개월간 최종 점검을 마쳤다. 이 현장은 LH공사가 주계약자 공동도급 시범사업으로 선정한 3개 현장 중 한곳으로 기계설비 건설업계의 관심이 집중된 곳이다. 본지는 입주 전 최종점검을 마친 현장에서 해성산업개발(주)(대표 이연풍) 안선준 기계 부장을 만나 시공 및 주계약자 공동도급에 대한 얘기를 들어보았다.
