초소형 SAR 위성 S-STEP의 임무 시나리오에 따른 자세 제어 성능 예비 분석 (Preliminary Analysis on Characteristics of Attitude Control based on Operation Scenario of Small SAR Satellite Mission, S-STEP)

  • S-STEP 은 관심 지역의 시한성 긴급 표적 및 군사적 이상 징후를 감시하기 위한 초소형 SAR 위성 임무로, 고도 510 km의 저궤도에 32 대의 위성군을 배치하여 관심 지역에 대해 평균 재방문 주기를 30 분 이하로 달성한다. S-STEP의 임무 운용 모드는 표준 모드, 관측 모드, 통신 모드, 궤도유지 모드 등으로 구분되며, 이에 따라 자세 기동 모드 역시 초기 각속도 안정화, 태양 지향, 목표지점 및 지상국 지향, 추력 방향 유지 등으로 세분화된다. 이 연구에서는 S-STEP 임무 운용 시나리오의 예비 설계 결과와 위성체의 특성을 바탕으로 초기 각속도 안정화 및 태양 지향 모드와 관측 궤도 운용 모드에서의 자세 성능을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 할당된 시간 이내에 필요한 자세 제어를 완료하여 각 모드에서 요구되는 자세 제어 정확도를 달성함을 확인하였다.

  • The Townsend to glow discharge mode transition was investigated in the dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) helium plasma source which was powered by 20 kHz / $4.5 kV_{rms}$ high voltage at atmospheric pressure. The spatial profile of the electric field strength at each modes was measured by using the intensity ratio method of two helium emission lines (667.8 nm ($3^1D{\rightarrow}2^1P$) and 728.1 nm ($3^1S{\rightarrow}2^1P$)) and the Stark effect. ICCD images were analyzed with consideration for the electric field property. The Townsend discharge (TD) mode at the initial stage of breakdown has the light emission region located in the vicinity of the anode. The electric field of the light emitting region is close to the applied field in the system. Immediately, the light emitting region moves to the cathode and the discharge transits to the glow discharge (GD) mode. This mode transition can be understood with the ionization wave propagation. The electric field of the emitting region of GD near cathode is higher than that of TD near anode because of the cathode fall formation. This observation may apply to designing a DBD process system and to analysis of the process treatment results.

Position Sensorless Control of BLDC Motors Based on Global Fast Terminal Sliding Mode Observer

  • The brushless DC motor (BLDCM) has many advantages. As a result, it is widely used in electric vehicle (EV) drive systems. To improve the reliability of the motor control system, a position sensorless control strategy based on a sliding mode observer (SMO) is proposed. The global fast terminal sliding mode observer (GFTSMO) is proposed to enhance the control performance of the SMO control system. The advantages of the linear sliding mode and the nonsingular terminal sliding mode (NTSM) are combined in the control strategy. The convergence speed of the system state is enhanced. The motor commutation point is obtained with the observation of the back EMF, and the instantaneous torque value of the motor is calculated. Therefore, the position sensorless control of the BLDCM is realized. Experimental results show that the proposed control strategy can improve the convergence speed, dynamic characteristics and robustness of the system.

  • KOMPSAT-2 is the second Korean earth observation satellite after KOMPSAT-l: the 1 meter GSD cartographic capability and planning to launch at the end of 2005 by ROKOT launch vehicle. The dedicated AOCS operational modes are designed for KOMPSAT-2 based on KOMPSAT-l experience All of AOCS operational modes requires gyro information. To compensate this drawback, Power Safe Mode is designed and implemented. Successfully AOCS on-board software is developed and extensively verified through a nonlinear simulation process. The simulation results of Power Safe Mode and Science Fine Submode are provided to demonstrate its functionality as well as its performance.

  • This paper describes the digital back-end system for getting the data to analyze the user observation mode by digitalize the analog data after receiving the space radio using the radio telescope, The received analog data will be digitalized by high-speed sampler with 1 Gsps for 4 channel frequency band of millimeter wave, and the digital data will be transported through the fiber-optic digital transmission system and WDM(wavelength division multiplex) to observation building, The wideband digital FIR(Finite Impulse Response) filters analyze the data for user observation mode to record the data in high-speed recorder with 1 Gbps. In this paper, we introduce the overall system configuration and features combined by various information and communication technology in radio astronomy briefly, which will be adopted by KVN(Korean VLBI Network).

  • The ceramic coatings are excellent materials of cutting tools and sliding parts. To evaluate the wear characteristics of very thin ceramic coated layer, it is very important to investigate its wear process microscopically. An effective method for investigating the wear of a thin layer is the observation of wear process in microscopic detail using in-situ system. In this study, using the SEM Tribosystem as in-situ system, the microscopic wear mode of TiN coatings was investigated in repeated sliding. As results, four modes were observed for TiN coatings: Ploughing, powder formation, flake formation and coating delimitation. The observation of the microscopic wear by in-situ system can clarify the allowable stress of TiN coating.

  • 본 논문에서는 대표적인 MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking)제어 알고리즘인 일정전압제어, P&O(Perturbation and Observation)제어, IncCond(Incremental Conductance)제어에 대하여 서술하고, 그 효율성을 검토해 보았다. 이를 위하여 시뮬레이션 및 효율시험을 통하여 정상상태 및 과도상태에 대한 각 알고리즘별 특성 및 효율을 분석하였다. 또한, MPPT 제어의 고효율화를 위하여 기존의 제어 알고리즘을 개선한 Two-Mode 제어법을 제안하였으며, MPPT 효율측정을 위한 회로구성 및 측정 방법을 제시하였다.

Observation of the Rebound Shock Waves and the EUV Brightening of a Light Bridge Jet

  • Hα jets of cool chromospheric plasma are protruding into the solar corona 10-100 Mm above the photosphere. The driving mechanisms of Hα jets have been widely studied for decades. However, the detailed process is still elusive. We observed shock signatures moving along a dark jet using 1.6 meter Goode Solar Telescope at Big Bear Solar Observatory. The first shock front of the jet shows sharp --- when it moves upward, while fuzzy and granulated when it moves downward. The jet itself extends upward when the second shock front of the jet reaches the top of the jet. We find abrupt EUV brightenings when the second shock front collides with the edge of the jet. The third front and the fouth front quasi-periodically. These phenomena might be the signs of the rebound shock waves triggered by p-mode wave leakages at the bottom of the jets. Our observation suggests that the jet can be triggered by the rebound shock waves generated by the p-mode waves leaked at the bottom of the jets.
