단일 카메라와 GPS를 이용한 영상 내 객체 위치 좌표 추정 기법 (An Estimation Method for Location Coordinate of Object in Image Using Single Camera and GPS)

  • ADAS(Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and street furniture information collecting car like as MMS(Mobile Mapping System), they require object location estimation method for recognizing spatial information of object in road images. But, the case of conventional methods, these methods require additional hardware module for gathering spatial information of object and have high computational complexity. In this paper, for a coordinate of road sign in single camera image, a position estimation scheme of object in road images is proposed using the relationship between the pixel and object size in real world. In this scheme, coordinate value and direction are used to get coordinate value of a road sign in images after estimating the equation related on pixel and real size of road sign. By experiments with test video set, it is confirmed that proposed method has high accuracy for mapping estimated object coordinate into commercial map. Therefore, proposed method can be used for MMS in commercial region.

Comparative Study of Corner and Feature Extractors for Real-Time Object Recognition in Image Processing

  • Corner detection and feature extraction are essential aspects of computer vision problems such as object recognition and tracking. Feature detectors such as Scale Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT) yields high quality features but computationally intensive for use in real-time applications. The Features from Accelerated Segment Test (FAST) detector provides faster feature computation by extracting only corner information in recognising an object. In this paper we have analyzed the efficient object detection algorithms with respect to efficiency, quality and robustness by comparing characteristics of image detectors for corner detector and feature extractors. The simulated result shows that compared to conventional SIFT algorithm, the object recognition system based on the FAST corner detector yields increased speed and low performance degradation. The average time to find keypoints in SIFT method is about 0.116 seconds for extracting 2169 keypoints. Similarly the average time to find corner points was 0.651 seconds for detecting 1714 keypoints in FAST methods at threshold 30. Thus the FAST method detects corner points faster with better quality images for object recognition.

  • Stroke patients can't use their hands because of the paralysis of their fingers. Their fingers are recovered by rehabilitating training, and the rehabilitating extent can be judged by grasping a spherical object. At present, the used object in hospital is only a spherical object, and can't measure the force of fingers. Therefore, doctors judge the rehabilitating extent by touching and watching at their fingers. So, the spherical object measuring system which can measure the force of their fingers should be developed. In this paper, the finger-force measuring system with a six-axis force/moment sensor which can measure the spherical-object grasping force is developed. The six-axis force/moment sensor was designed and fabricated, and the force measuring device was designed and manufactured using DSP (digital signal processing). Also, the grasping force test of men was performed using the developed finger-force measuring system, it was confirmed that the average force of men was about 120N.

Efficient Experimental Design for Measuring Magnetic Susceptibility of Arbitrarily Shaped Materials by MRI

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to develop a simple method to measure magnetic susceptibility of arbitrarily shaped materials through MR imaging and numerical modeling. Materials and Methods: Our 3D printed phantom consists of a lower compartment filled with a gel (gel part) and an upper compartment for placing a susceptibility object (object part). The $B_0$ maps of the gel with and without the object were reconstructed from phase images obtained in a 3T MRI scanner. Then, their difference was compared with a numerically modeled $B_0$ map based on the geometry of the object, obtained by a separate MRI scan of the object possibly immersed in an MR-visible liquid. The susceptibility of the object was determined by a least-squares fit. Results: A total of 18 solid and liquid samples were tested, with measured susceptibility values in the range of -12.6 to 28.28 ppm. To confirm accuracy of the method, independently obtained reference values were compared with measured susceptibility when possible. The comparison revealed that our method can determine susceptibility within approximately 5%, likely limited by the object shape modeling error. Conclusion: The proposed gel-phantom-based susceptibility measurement may be used to effectively measure magnetic susceptibility of MR-compatible samples with an arbitrary shape, and can enable development of various MR engineering parts as well as test biological tissue specimens.

  • 객체지향 프레임웍은 다수의 응용 소프트웨어의 개발에 반복적으로 재사용되므로 철저한 시험이 요구될 뿐만 아니라 재사용 시 확장된 프레임웍에 대해서도 추가적인 시험이 필요하다. 그런데 프레임웍은 개조, 합성된 확장 부위의 시험에 대한 제어와 관찰을 어렵게 하는 성질을 갖고 있다. 본 논문에서는 프레임웍을 개조, 확장하여 응용 프로그램을 구현할 때 발생할 수 있는 오류들이 시험을 통하여 효율적으로 발견될 수 있도록 프레임웍의 가변 부위에 테스터 컴포넌트들을 BIT(Built-in Test)로 내장하는 방법을 기술한다. 프레임웍에 이와 같이 내장된 테스터 컴포넌트들은 프레임웍의 시험 시 제어와 관찰을 용이하게 하여 프레임웍의 시험성을 높여준다. 여기서 제안된 방법으로 설계된 테스터 컴포넌트들은 시험대상 프레임웍의 확장 부위에 프레임웍 코드의 변경이나 간섭 효과가 없게 부착할 수 있고 필요에 따라 동적으로 탈착할 수 있다.

항공우주구조물 낙하충격시험기 개발 및 응용 (Development and Application of Drop Impact Tester for Aerospace Structures)

  • 본 연구에서는 항공우주구조물의 낙하 충격 특성 및 기초 시험, 학술적 연구를 종합적으로 수행하기 위하여 낙하충격시험기를 개발하였다. 낙하충격시험기는 항공기가 지면과의 충돌 시 발생하는 동적인 응력과 변형에 대한 정확한 평가를 가능하게 하며, 안전성 및 기구 강도와 같은 중요한 설계 요소들을 확인할 수 있도록 한다. 낙하충격시험기는 전자석을 이용하여 시험체를 부착 및 낙하하며, 크레인을 이용하여 시험체 낙하 높이 조절이 가능하도록 구성하였다. 또한, 수직 낙하를 위한 낙하보조장치를 제작하였다. 시험을 위한 낙하 시험체의 수치해석을 수행하고 낙하충격시험기를 활용하여 기초 시험을 수행하였다. 해석 및 시험 결과를 통해 착륙장치 낙하 상황에서의 구조적 형상을 분석하고 각 부분의 거동을 종합적으로 평가하였다.

시나리오를 이용한 객체지향 시스템의 통합 테스트 (Integrated Test of Object-Oriented System Using Scenario)

  • 객체 지향 시스템의 통합 테스트를 위한 테스트 케이스는 Method/Message의 경로와 method의 실행에 따른 시스템의 상태를 포함하여야 한다. 이런 테스트 케이스를 추출하기 위해서는 원시 코드만으로는 부족하고 시스템의 동적 모델링 단계에서 사용되었던 시나리오를 이용하여야 한다. 그 이유는 시나리오를 이용할 경우 사용자가 시스템에 행할 수 있는 동작의 종속성 분석을 통하여 테스트 케이스의 수를 줄일 수 있기 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 시나리오를 객체 지향 시스템의 통합 테스트에 활용하는 방안에 대하여 연구하였다. 이 방안을 이용하면 객체간의 상호작용을 테스트하기 위한 테스트 케이스의 생과 테스트 결과의 비교를 컴퓨터를 이용하여 할 수 있고 테스트 케이스의 수도 줄일 수 있다.
