  • XML (extensible Markup Language) is a flexible way to create common information formats and share both the format and the data on the World Wide Web, intranets, and elsewhere. A document type definition (DTD) is a specific definition of the rules of the Standard Generalized Markup Language. A relational database management system (RDBMS) is a program that lets you create, update, and administer a relational database. An RDBMS takes Structured Query Language (SQL) statements entered by a user or contained in an application program and creates, updates, or provides access to the database. This paper has been studied a method of mappings from XML DTD to RDB schemas based on object model.

  • This paper describes a medular neural network(MNN) for a vision system which tracks a given object using a sequence of images from a camera unit. The MNN is used to precisely recognize the given robot endeffector and to minize the processing time. Since the robot endeffector can be viewed in many different shapes in 3-D space, a MNN structure, which contains a set of feedforwared neural networks, co be more attractive in recognizing the given object. Each single neural network learns the endeffector with a cluster of training patterns. The training patterns for a neural network share the similar charateristics so that they can be easily trained. The trained MNN is less sensitive to noise and it shows the better performance in recognizing the endeffector. The recognition rate of MNN is enhanced by 14% over the single neural network. A vision system with the MNN can precisely recognize the endeffector and place it at the center of a display for a remote operator.

  • PACS is one of the most used medical information system and share information from other hospitals through the PACS. Data integrity means zero defects data and this is a prerequisite of information system performance. but I wonder if I can trust these informations that Incorrect information from radiotechnologist's mistakes, anonymous in emergency department, Newborn baby department, modified informations at later. And Modified informations causes defect in integrity of the data. When we import, we use DICOM header not DB data. so error occurs that DB data is deferent with DICOM Header information. This paper discusses to resolve as above problem using DICOM object such as DICOM PR, SR. And propose quality management system that can guarantee the patient information and can manage exam history.

A Road to Understanding Galaxies: 40 years of galaxy studies

  • One day, a galaxy study suddenly came to me and became a friend of 40 years. The study of galaxies, which began with surface photometry of nearby galaxies, ended up in galaxy morphology through chemical and dynamical evolution of galaxies. All that deviated from the study of galaxies was the study of the open clusters. So it seems to me that I devoted my entire life to the study of galaxies. The most memorable one is the observation at Sobaeksan Observatory. Even though the heavy snow fell, I climbed Sobaeksan to meet galaxies. Galaxies observed at Kiso Observatory, DAO, and BOAO are now beyond memory, but I still enjoy seeing them. There are many memories, but the biggest pleasure I've had in my galaxy studies is when I've encountered the galactic conformity between host and its satellite galaxies. Eureka! Now the night sky is changing from the object of study to the object of awe. I will share this joy.

Examining Portraits in Digital Fashion Art Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) through Baudrillard's Simulation

  • Web 3.0 enables people and machines to connect, evolve, share, and use knowledge on an unprecedented scale and in new ways, drastically improving our Internet experience. The metaverse is a collective, virtual shared space supporting all digital activities. Prompted by the rapid growth of digital art and digital fashion, this theoretical analysis explores using Jean Baudrillard's simulation concept to create unique digital art non-fungible tokens (NFTs), allowing them to express and communicate ideas like real-world art. Specifically, this study analyzes 120 digital fashion portraits of humans and animals and classifies them under three types of simulacra covering four stages of Baudrillard's simulation process. The result shows that NFT fashion artworks reflect the core features of a digital reality by connecting and transcending the boundaries of cultures, genders, and nationalities. However, in the final simulation stage (the fourth step), the simulacrum can only coexist in the virtual world as a hyperreal object (the Type III of simulacrum): an object more real than reality.

다수모델을 이용한 객체지향적 분산처리 시스템의 디자인 방법 (Integrated Modeling of Distributed Object-Oriented Systems)

  • 하드웨어와 통신 기술의 발달로 가능하게 된 분산처리 시스템은 수행 방식이 비결 정적이고 복잡하기 때문에 소프테웨어의 디자인이 비분산처리 시스템에 비해 복잡하고 또한 까다롭다. 따라서 하드웨어에 비해 상대적으로 뒤져있는 분산처리 시스템 소프 트웨어 개발을 위한 디자인 방법에 관한 연구에 대한 필요성이 높아지고 있다. 한편 객체향 시스템과 분산처리 시스템은 상호 유사한 점이 있어, 분산처리 시스템 개발에 객체지향 기술의 적용은 자연스럽게 이루어질 수가 있다. 본고에서는 분산에서는 분산처리 시스템 설계를 위한 객체지향 기술의 적용에 대하여 소개하고 있다. 제안된 설계방법은 다양한 그래픽 모델, 즉, 자료구조도, 상태전이도 그리고 패트리 네트의 정보를 조합하여 객체와 행위 그리고 이들 간의 관계에 대한 정보를 추출하여 분산 처리 시스템에 적합한 명세서를 산출하고자 한다. 지식베이스를 정보저장소로 이용 하여정보의 저장, 검색 뿐만 아니라, 정보의 오류 연구를 검증할 수가 있다. 본 방법의 최종 결과인 객체모델은 디자인 명세서로서 분산처리프로그램 개발에 사용된다.

  • 본 논문에서는 이질적인 통신망 환경에서 다양한 QoS 요구에 적응할 수 있는 MPEG-2 비디오의 스케일러블 미디어 객체 프레임웍을 제안한다. 하나의 MPEG-2 비디오는 시간적인 스케일링과 충실도 스케일링 과정을 통하여 상호 종속성이 있는 스케일러블 미디어 객체의 집함으로 변환된다. 미디어 서비스 요청에 대하여 스케일러블 미디어 객체의 전체 혹은 일부를 전송함으로써 다양하게 요구된 QoS에 따른 전송 비트율을 만족시킬 수 있다. 또한, 다양한 대역폭의 링크가 개입된 멀티포인트 채널에 대해서도 각 QoS를 만족시킬 수 있는 기반을 제공한다. 전송된 데이타 양과 신호왜곡 특성을 분석을 통하여 스케일러블 미디어 객체가 폭넓은 QoS 요구에 적응할 수 있음을 보였다.

부서간 협동적 작업을 지원하는 모형관리 체계의 개발 (A Model Management Framework for Supporting Departmental Collaborative Work)

  • Recently, as business problems become more complicated and require more precise quantitative results, large-scale model management systems are increasingly in demand for supporting the decision-making activities. In addition, as distributed computing over networks gains popularity, departmental computing systems are gradually adopted in an organization to facilitate collaboration of geographically dispersed multiple departments. In departmental collaborative model management systems, multiple departments share common models but approach them with different user-views depending on their departmental needs. Moreover, the shared models become evolved as their structures and the corresponding data sets change due to the dynamic nature of the operating environment and the inherent uncertainty associated with the problems. In such capacity, providing the multiple departmental users with synchronized and consistent views of the models is important to improve the overall productivity. In this paper, we propose a collaborative model management framework for coordinating model change and automatic user-view update in a departmental computing environment. To do so, we describes changes in the model and their effects occurred in departmental model management environments and identifies the constructs and processes for maintaining the consistency between a shared model and its departmental user-views. Especially, in this framework, generic model concept was adopted for accommodating diverse mathematical models in a uniform way in a modelbase and object-oriented database management systems(ODBMS) for combining the model management constructs and automatic user-view update mechanisms in a single formalism. A prototype object-oriented modeling environment was developed using an ODBMS called ObjectStore and $C^{++}$ programming language on Windows NT.

The Development of a Haptic Interface for Interacting with BIM Elements in Mixed Reality

  • Building Information Modeling (BIM) is widely used to efficiently share, utilize and manage information generated in every phase of a construction project. Recently, mixed reality (MR) technologies have been introduced to more effectively utilize BIM elements. This study deals with the haptic interactions between humans and BIM elements in MR to improve BIM usability. As the first step in interacting with virtual objects in mixed reality, we challenged moving a virtual object to the desired location using finger-pointing. This paper presents the procedure of developing a haptic interface system where users can interact with a BIM object to move it to the desired location in MR. The interface system consists of an MR-based head-mounted display (HMD) and a mobile application developed using Unity 3D. This study defined two segments to compute the scale factor and rotation angle of the virtual object to be moved. As a result of testing a cuboid, the user can successfully move it to the desired location. The developed MR-based haptic interface can be used for aligning BIM elements overlaid in the real world at the construction site.

  • 최근 정보기술 및 인터넷의 급속한 발전으로 지식정보 자원들이 디지털화 되어 인터넷을 통해 유통되고 있다. 과학기술 연구 현장에서 수시로 발생되는 세미나, 워크숍 등 연구 성과물의 공유를 위해서는 동영상 콘텐츠의 구축과 식별체계 기반의 유통시스템 구축이 필요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 세미나, 워크숍 등 과학기술 동영상 콘텐츠의 효율적인 정보 공유 및 활용을 위한 KOI 식별체계 기반의 정보유통시스템 구축 방안을 제시하는데 있으며, 이를 위해 식별체계 개요 및 현황과 유통시스템의 기능적 요소인 동영상 콘텐츠 과제 및 슬라이드의 KOI 식별체계 적용 방법, 동영상 정보연계 시스템, 식별체계 통합관리 시스템, 동영상 메타데이터 구성 및 검색 방안 등을 기술하였다.
