In various fields of information technology, it is growing up the needs about dynamic content management systems to store and manage SGML(Standard Generalized Markup language) documents in a database system. In this paper, we consider the issue of storing SGML documents that having complex hierarchical structure into a database system, and then propose a data model based on ODMG(Object Database Management Group) object model in order to store SGML documents without loss of information. Because the proposed data model reflects physical element structure and logical entity structure of SGML documents, it is able to store the SGML document in a database system at the system at the element- level granularity without any information loss. And also the proposed data model can be adapted among ODMG-compliant object database management systems. Finally, we will discuss on the implementation details of SGML repository system supports the functionality of automatic database schema creation for any DTD(Document Type Definition0, the functionality of storing the SGML document, the functionality of dynamic document assembly from stored database objects to SGML document, and the functionality of indexing and searching for database objects.

EPCIS(EPC Information Services) system is a core component of EPCglobal Architecture Framework offering information of the freights, the time of awareness and the location of awareness on the EPCglobal Network. The role of EPCIS is to exchange information based on EPC. There are four kinds of event data which are object event data, aggregation event data, quantity event data, and transaction event data. These EPCIS events data are stored and managed in EPCIS repository. This paper deals with the method which diversifies the data flow load of intensive EPCIS events and effectively manages EPCIS repository for exchanging data smoothly. In order to verify a effectiveness, we measure the performance of the system using a simulation by comparing the existing method with the suggested method.

A vehicle Control System that is a system combined by a Car Navigation System, a Geograhical Information System, and a Communication Network usually permit a central control room to detect vehicle's locations dynamically and manage these informations synthetically. Therefore, a vehicle control system can be used to control the rapid movement of patrol cars, freight transportation, and so on. In this paper, we designed and implemented a data manager for an application system, such as a vehicle control system, that usually manages road data, vehicle data, vehicle's location data, etc. The data manager that is implemented in this paper consists of system management module, road data management module, vehicle data management module, GPS(Global Positioning System) data management module, and additional data management module. Especially, we use the SHORE(Scalable Heterogeneous Object REpository) system as a storage system of the data manager.

코드기반 재사용이 가능한 객체기반 프로그래밍(OOP : Object-Oriented Programming)의 문제점으로 인하여 높은 재사용성(Reuse)을 가진 컴포넌트 기반 소프트웨어(CBD : Component Based Development)의 개발에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행 중이며, 이미 개발된 컴포넌트들을 통합적으로 관리하는 저장소 (Repository)에 관한 연구도 이루어지고 있다. 그러나, 기존에 설계된 저장소는 형상관리(Configuration Management)중인 컴포넌트에 대한 관리가 미흡하다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 형상관리중이 컴포넌트의 버전을 지속적으로 감시하는 업데이트 엔진을 설계하고, 형상관리 컴포넌트들을 어떻게 효율적으로 관리 할 것인가에 대한 방법을 제시한다.

This article is an overview of the digital library project, indicating what roles Korea's diverse digital collections may play. Our digital library prototype has simple architecture, consisting of digital repositories, filters, indexing and searching, and clients. Digital repositories include various types of materials and databases. The role of filters is to recognize a format of a document collection and mark the structural components of each of its documents, We are using a database management system (ORACLE and ConText) supporting user-defined functions and access methods that allows us to easily incorporate new object analysis, structuring, and indexing technology into a repository.

데이터 웨어하우스가 발전함에 따라 통합된 메타데이터는 구현뿐만 아니라 활용측면에서도 중요성이 부각되면서 이제는 전략적인 비즈니스 자산으로 여겨지고 있다. 이러한 메타데이터 표준으로 OMG(Object Management Group)에서는 CWM(Common Warehouse MetaModel)을 웨어하우스와 BI(Business intelligence)의 표준으로 채택하였다. 그러나 소프트웨어 개발 업체들간의 메타데이터 상호교환 중심으로 구현됨으로써 CWM을 사용한 메타데이터의 활용 및 저변확대가 안되고 있다. 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위해서 CWM을 기반으로 한 레파지토리(Repository)를 설계 및 구현함으로써 CWM로 생성된 메타데이터를 저장, 보관하여 비즈니스적인 활용이 가능하도록 하였다. 또한 이러한 연구를 통하여 데이터 웨어하우스 분야에서도 MDA(Model Driven Architecture)기반의 설계 및 구현이 될 것으로 전망된다.

분산 객체 컴퓨팅 환경이 대두되고 있는 오늘날, 네트워크 상에 분산되어 있는 객체들을 효율적으로 관리할 수 있는 기능이 필요하게 되었다. OMG(Objective Request Broker Architecture)에서는 개체를 바인딩하기 위한 두 가지 형태의 객체 참조, 즉 일시적 객체참조(Transient Object Reference)와 영구적 객체참조(Persistent Object Reference)가 있으며 영구적 객체 참조를 바인딩하기 위해서 ORB는 구현저장소를 제공해야 한다. 이를 위해 CORBA 스펙에서는 구현저장소의 개념만을 정의되어 있을 뿐 인터페이스는 아직 정의되어 있지 않은 상태이다. 본 논문에서는 구현저장소의 도움만을 받아 구현객체를 바인딩 할 수 있도록 하기 위한 구현저장소의 인터페이스를 설계하였다.

The article herein suggested a compound repository and a descriptive method to develop a compound knowledge process. A data target saved in a compound knowledge repository suggested in this article includes all compound knowledge meta data and digital resources, which can be divided into the three following factors according to the purpose: user roles, functional elements, and service ranges. The three factors are basic components to describe abstract models of repository. In this article, meta data of compound knowledge are defined by being classified into the two factors. A component stands for the property about a main agent, activity unit or resource that use and create knowledge, and a context presents the context in which knowledge object are included. An agent of the compound knowledge process performs classification, registration, and pattern information management of composite knowledge, and serves as data flow and processing between compound knowledge repository and user. The agent of the compound knowledge process consists of the following functions: warning to inform data search and extraction, data collection and output for data exchange in an distributed environment, storage and registration for data, request and transmission to call for physical material wanted after search of meta data. In this article, the construction of a compound knowledge repository for recommendation system to be developed can serve a role to enhance learning productivity through real-time visualization of timely knowledge by presenting well-put various contents to users in the field of industry to occur work and learning at the same time.

In this paper, we studied on the effective structure of an e-Learning Korean Support System for foreigner based on computer systems which is to obey the rules of IMS/AICC International Standard regulations based on LCMS and SCORM. The most important task on this study is to support the function of self-study module through the review of the analysis and results of Korean learning and learning customs. We studied the effective PMS detail modules as well as the Standard Competency Module Management System, which related to LMS/LCMS, Learning an Individual Competency Management System, Competency Registry/Repository System, Knowledge Management System based on Community Competency Module, Education e-survey System and Module learning Support Service System. We suggested one of standard Effective Model of learning Korean Support System which is adopted in a various techniques for foreigner.
