  • IP망을 활용한 VPN(Virtual Private Network)에서의 QoS 보장 및 광대역 서비스 제공에 대한 해결 방안으로 차세대 광 인터넷을 통한 OVPN(Optical VPN) 기술이 제시되고 있다. 차세대 광 인터넷의 구현이 IP/GMPLS(Generalized Multi-Protocol Label Switching) over DWDM(Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) 프로토콜 프레임워크로 표준화되고 있는 현실에 비추어 볼 때 IP/GMPLS over DWDM 백본망을 통한 OVPN은 차세대 가상사설망으로써 멀티미디어 서비스 제공을 위한 최적의 방안이다. 이러한 멀티미디어 서비스 제공을 위한 OVPN에서는 최적의 Optical-LSP(Label Switched Path)의 설립이 요구되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 차세대 OVPN의 모델 및 망의 blocking probability를 향상하기 위한 미래의 잠재적인 연결 요구에 대해 간섭을 최소화하면서 경로를 설정하는 MW-MIPR 라우팅 알고리즘을 제시하고 이를 라우팅 프로토콜인 OSPF-TE+(OSPF Extensions in Support of Generalized MPLS)에 맵핑하기 위한 방안을 제안한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 컴퓨터 망에서 동적라우팅 프로토콜로 다중영역을 지원하는 OSPF (Open Shortest Path First)를 중심으로 망 축약(summary), 타 프로톨과의 연동을 위한 재분배(redistribution), Virtual Link 등 복잡한 설정 기법을 연구하고 이를 신라대학교 LAN 구성에 적용한다. 시스코의 망 시뮬레이터 장비인 패킷트레이서를 활용하여 라우터와 스위치는 각각 2620XM Router, 2950T-24 Switch를 사용하고, 라우팅 프로토콜은 OSPF, EIGRP(Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol)를, 또한 이들 간의 연결을 위해서는 재분배를 이용하고, 다중 영역 중 백본 area에 인접하지 않는 area에 대한 연결을 위해서는 Virtual Link 등 여러 설정 기법을 사용한다. 전체 망 구성 연결 후에는 이들 설정에 대한 통신상태를 확인한다.

  • In OSPF, the larger and more unstable the area, the greater the likelihood for performance problems associated with routing protocol recalculation. Generally, an area should have no more than 50 routers. Areas with unstable links should be smaller. Military tactical data network is used for military operations during war-time. It consists of wireless network for mobility of node. Thus, it has low-bandwidth and unstable property. In addition, it is expected that many kinds of router-failure, Link-failure and recovery at emergency period. However, Military tactical data network is designed with about one and half times the number of recommendation. This paper proves that the traffic is limited by the increase of re-calculation of area.

Energy Saving Characteristics of OSPF Routing Based on Energy Profiles (Energy Profile에 기반한 OSPF 라우팅 방식의 에너지 절약 특성)

  • Nowadays the research of energy saving on the IP networks have been studied the various methods in many research institutes. This paper suggests the energy saving method in IP networks which have the various energy profiles, and analyzes its energy saving characteristics in detail. Especially this paper proposes the energy profile based OSPF routing method which have the selectable weighted value in OSPF metric and energy consumption in IP network. This paper analyzes the energy saving effects of the various situations to minimize the energy consumption using the various weighted value on the proposed scheme. The results show that the energy saving efficiency can get about 67% at in ingress input load ${\rho}=0.5$ by using random energy profiles in IP networks. Although the number of hops is a slight increased due to routing the paths for the minimum energy consumption in the algorithm of this method, the increment hop number is limited the mean 1.4 hops. This paper confirms that the energy profile of core router has the large effects of energy saving than the energy profile of edge router, and the proposed method has the excellent energy saving characteristics in IP networks.

  • VoIP는 Packet Netwark(ATM, xDSL, Frame Relay, Cable Network)망을 이용하여 음성데이터를 전송 하는 기술로서 PSTN을 통해 음성데이터를 전송하는 것보다 비용절감의 효과가 크다. 본 연구에서는 최적의 VoIP 서비스 제공을 위한 음성/데이터 통합 네트워크 망을 설계하기 위하여 IP와 ATM을 이용한 서로 다른 2개의 망을 설계하여 지연과 Routing 정책, Traffic 추가 후 지연현상에 대하여 살펴보았다. 지연은 순수한 VoIP 망을 구성 할 경우 8-10ms. VoIP+ATM으로 망을 구성 할 경우 2ms로 나타났고, 라우팅 정책(RIP, IGRP, OSPF 적용)에서는 IP 또는 IP+ATM으로 망을 구성 할 경우 RIP는 25ms, IGRP는 22ms로 나타났고, OSPF를 이용할 경우 14ms로 평가되어 OSPF를 이용한 라우팅 정책을 설정하는 것이 바람직하다고 볼 수 있다. 결론적으로 본 연구의 결과 VoIP망을 구성 할 경우 IP+ATM을 기반으로 구축하면 보다 더 효과적인 인터넷 망을 구성할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • In this paper, We consider various service models and mechanisms as a part of study for offering QoS with the requirement of user and discuss genetic algorithm and hybrid genetic algorithm for routing optimization in broa㏈and convergence network. If routing optimization based on OSPF is not sufficient, a number of MPLS paths can be set up to further improve QoS. We propose two mixed-integer programming models for the complementary MPLS problem, and consider the maximum link utilization within the network as the relevant network QoS measure

  • Nowadays various methods for energy saving have been studied in IP networks. This paper suggests a 2-phase OSPF routing method for energy saving on IP networks having various energy profiles and analyzes its characteristics. The phase-1 of the routing is an OSPF routing method considering the energy cost of devices besides existing metrics to minimize energy consumption. In the phase-2 of the routing, it makes core nodes go into sleep sate for energy saving and reroutes the paths affected by sleeping core nodes. At this time, we confirm that the characteristics of mean delay and energy efficiency can be satisfied by limiting an allowable hop number in the reroute paths, and utilization rate of nodes and links for assuring energy saving and network-level QoS. Since the efficiency of energy saving and delay characteristics differ according to selection methods of core nodes to go into sleep state, it is that the a method of core node selection based on MP(minimum_path) is more excellent than others in terms of network-level QoS and energy saving in IP networks.

  • This paper presents the design of the educational router system. This system is designed and implemented to support network configuration and embedded programming technology of the user on Internet. Not only Static routing protocol but also a kind of dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF and RIP and firewall have been programmed for education based on ethernet interface. ADS 1.2 as debugging environment, uC/OS-ii as RTOS and C language as development language are used. The educational procedures is compile, loading of static routing protocol, a kind of dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF and RIP and firewall program already supplied. Thereafter the verification is checked by using "ping" test to allow for demo operation such as hands-on training procedure. Finally programming procedure similar with demo operation of static routing protocol, a kind of dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF and RIP and packet filtering function is educated step by step.

  • RIP, EIGRP, OSPF are the interior gateway protocol for sending and receiving routing information among routers in AS(Autonomous System). Various path selection methods using the metric in regard to them have been studied recently but there are few examples that the contents learners understand theoretically are verified by the practice. The Best Path is determined by calculating the Cost value based on the relevant topology of each routing protocol. After implementing the virtual network, it is certain that the results tracking and verifying the relevant path selection of each routing protocol are consistent with the Best Path. If methods suggested in this paper are applied properly, the relevant path selection process of routing protocol can be understood systematically. And it is expected that the outstanding results of learning will be able to be achieved.
