Denitrification permanently removes nitrate from aquatic ecosystems, so construction of denitrification walls to enhance denitrification activity is often suggested to reduce the nitrate levels from tributary ecosystems. However, little information is available to guide the choice of appropriate organic materials for increasing denitrification rates in the walls. This study investigated how differences in organic substrates originating from litter and organic materials affected denitrification and carbon mineralization rates in riparian sediments. Potential denitrification rates were highest in riparian sediments that contained large quantities of extractable organic carbon (Ext. Org C) and that had high anaerobic carbon mineralization rates, but they were negatively correlated with C:N ratios. Therefore, this research suggested that the both carbon quantity and quality should be considered when assessing the efficiency of organic substrates to remove nitrate from tributary ecosystems.

The paper discusses the nature of Knowledge Organization Systems (KOSs) and shows how these can support digital library users. It demonstrates processes related to integration of KOS like the Dewey Decimal Classification, $22^{nd}$ edition (DDC22) in DSpace software (http://www.dspace.org/) for organizing and retrieving (browsing and searching) scholarly objects. An attempt has been made to use the DDC22 available in Bengali language and highlights the required mechanisms for system-level integration. It may help a repository administrator to build an IDR (Institutional Digital Repository) integrated with SKOS-enabled multilingual subject access systems for supporting subject descriptors based indexing (DC.Subject metadata element), structured navigation (browsing) and efficient searching.

최근 들어 WWW(World WideWeb) 환경은 데이터의 소유자나 독점자 없이 누구나 손쉽게 데이터를 생산하고 인터넷에서 공유할 수 있도록 한 사용자 참여 중심의 인터넷 환경인 Web 2.0 시대를 맞이하고 있다.Web 2.0 관련 기술이 발달함에 따라 UCC(User Created Contents) 웹사이트의 사용자 수는 폭발적으로 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라 여럿의 중지를 모아 만들어지는 집단지성의 중요성이 부각되고 있고, UCC 웹사이트는 고품질의 집단지성을 제공하려고 다양한 서비스 및 상품의 개발을 하고 있다. 또한, UCC 웹사이트들은 자신들이 제공하는 집단지성을 사용자들이 채택하도록 많은 노력을 기울이고 있다. 본 연구는 대표적인 UCC 웹사이트인 위키피디아(www.wikipedia.org), 네이버 지식인 (kin.naver.com), 윙버스 (www.wingbus.com) 를 비롯한 실용적 특성 UCC 웹사이트를 대상으로 집단지성에 대한 신뢰가 실용적 특성 UCC 웹사이트의 지속사용에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 구조방정식 모형을 개발하여 실증분석을 한 결과 집단지성에 대한 신뢰가 사용자 만족을 통해 지속사용에 영향을 주는 것으로 분석되다.

일본의 ‘도서관문제연구회’에서는 1998년 제45회 전국대회에서 사서의 전문성 확립을 위하여 도서관의 직무를 분석하기로 하고, 연구회 내에 ‘직원문제위원회’를 설치하였다. 동 위원회는 그후 도서관의 직무를 면밀히 검토하여 “공공도서관 직무 구분표 2000년판”을 작성하였다. 동 위원회는 각 도서관별로 개최된 검토회와 제47회 전국대회를 통하여 동 구분표에 대하여 논의를 하였으며, 위원회 홈페이지에(http://www.jca.apc.org.tomonken) '공공도서관 직무 일람표 2000년판(안)‘을 게재하였다. 이에 우리 협회 ’도서관문화‘ 편집실에서는 도서관의 직무와 그 직무를 위해 어떤 지식과 경험이 필요한지가 설명되어 있는 이 ’도서관 직무 일람표‘가 우리나라 도서관의 운영과 사서의 전문성을 완성하는데 좋은 참고가 될 것으로 보여 동 위원회의 농의를 얻어 번역 게재하게 되었다.

The Directory of Open Access Books (DOAB) provides a searchable index peer-reviewed monographs and edited volumes published under an Open Access business model, with links to the full texts of the publications at the publisher's website or repository. This paper discusses a global analysis of open access books, which are available in the Directory of Open Access Books (DOAB). The data was collected from the open access directory at http://www.doabooks.org/ on $20^{th}$ October 2015. In total 3379 books are listed as available on the directory; the first and second books were published in 1866 and 1867 respectively. After 1962, the publication of books, increased gradually and the greatest number of books more than 300, was published in 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2014. Nearly 47 percent of the books (1584) were published in the English language only.

It is requested to shorten the starting duration for idle stop function equipped cars without harmful effects on the environment. Higher cranking speeds can be achieved with high torque starter. The object of this study is to develope the high torque starter and evaluate its effect on the exhaust emissions. The test was conducted on a 1.5 L, 4-cylinder, 16 valve, multipoint-port-fuel-injection gasoline engine. Engine out emissions such as HC, CO, $CO_2$, and the excess air ratios, lambda were measured using MEXA-554JK. The result showed that a high torque starter, HTS-II shortened the starting duration and reduced engine out emissions of HC, CO and improved starting performance with larger excess air ratio than that of the original starter, Org. S and a high torque starter, HTS-I.

IFLA(국제도서관협회연맹)의 어린이/청소년 도서관분과(Libraries for Children and Young Adults Section)는 전세계의 어린이 및 청소년을 위한 도서관 발전에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 뿐만 아니라 평생학습의 중요성, 어린이의 독서, 그들의 정보를 제공받을 권리에 대한 인식을 고양시키고 있다. IFLA의 어린이/청소년 분과에서는 『어린이 도서관봉사를 위한 가이드라인』과 『청소년을 위한 도서관봉사의 지침』을 마련하여 각 국의 언어로 번역되기를 원하고 있다. 이에 우리 협회는 어린이를 위한 도서관봉사에 도움이 되기를 바라며, 우리 협회 송영숙 어린이ㆍ청소년 봉사위원회 위원장(IFLA 어린이ㆍ청소년 도서관분과 상임위원, 서울독서교육연구회 회장)의 번역문을 수록한다. 본 번역문의 원문은 http://www.ifla.org/Vll/s10/pubs/ChildrensGuidelines.pdf을 참조하기 바라며, 『청소년을 위한 도서관봉사의 지침』의 한국어 번역문은 본지 2003년 7ㆍ8월호 96쪽~102쪽에 게재된 바 있다.

The policy for credit card approval/disapproval is based on the applier's personal and financial information. In this paper, we will analyze 2 credit card approval data with several classification methods. We identify which variables are important factors to decide the approval of credit card. Our main tool is an open-source statistical programming environment R which is freely available from http://www.r-project.org. It is getting popular recently because of its flexibility and a lot of packages (libraries) made by R-users in the world. We will use most widely used methods, LDNQDA, Logistic Regression, CART (Classification and Regression Trees), neural network, and SVM (Support Vector Machines) for comparisons.
