비선형성 ZnO 바리스터의 Prebreakdown 영역에서의 전도 현상 (Conduction Mechanism of Non-linearity ZnO Varistor in the Prebreakdown region)

  • ZnO varistor with composition of ZnO(90wt%)-Bi$_2$O$_3$(3wt%)-Sb$_2$O$_3$(3.6wt%)-CO$_2$O$_3$(1.16wt%)-NiO(0.88wt%)-MnO$_2$(0.71wt%)-Cr$_2$O$_3$(0.93wt%) according to Al$_2$O$_3$addtive was fabricated by sintering methods. The effects of Al$_2$O$_3$dopant on the I-V characteristics of ZnO varistors were investigated. These changes of electric properties were found to be caused by the variation of grains and grain boundary related to Al$_2$O$_3$dopting. And the conductive mechanism of ZnO varistor in prebreakdown region were investigated with defect model.

Sodium Alginate-$CaSO_4{\cdot}1/2H_2O$ 彈性體의 生成速度 및 彈性에 미치는 金屬酸化物의 影響 (The Effect of Metallic Oxides on the Formation Rates and Rigidities of the Elastic Sodium Alginate-$CaSO_4{\cdot}1/2H_2O$ Gel.)

  • Sodium alginate-$CaSO_4{\cdot}$1/2 $H_2O$의 gel에 미치는 alkali鹽의 遲延효果를 Miyake date와 比較하고, Schwedoff法을 改良한 連續的 測定方法을 써서, 金屬酸化物의 添加에 依한 彈性 gel의 生成速度 및 彈性의 變化를 硏究하였다. 즉 (1) sample의 張力變化를 連續的으로 測定하여, sodium alginate와 $CaSO_4{\cdot}$1/2 $H_2O$ aqueous sol의 gel化 過程을 觀察하였다. (2) 彈性 gel의 生成速度에 미치는 $Na_3PO_4$의 遲延효果는 $Na_2CO_3$보다 크다는 點에서는 Miyake 報告와 一致하였으나, Miyake date처럼 兩者間에 그리 큰 差가 없었다. (3) 金屬酸化物이 彈性 gel生成速度에 미치는 影響에 어떤 規則性은 없었지마는 $SiO_2$와 MgO는 比較的 큰 速度增大효果를 나타내고 ZnO는 比較的 적었다. 그러나 $Al_2O_3$, $Sb_2O_3$$TiO_2$는 速度低下효果를 나타냈다. 結果的으로 酸化物의 種類나 그 添加量에 따라 어떤 明確한 規則性을 觀察하지 못하였다. (4) 彈性率과 生成速度에 미치는 효果사이에 比例關係는 없없으나 金屬酸化物을 添加하면 一般的으로 彈性率이 增加하였다. 이들 酸化物 中에서 彈性率增大효果가 가장 큰 것은 MgO였다.

Effects of the Methanol Extract of the Leaves of Brassica juncea and Its Major Component, Isorhamnetin $3-O-{\beta}-D-Glucoside$, on Hepatic Drug Metabolizing Enzymes in Bromobenzene-treated Rats

  • The effects of the methanol extract of the leaves of Brassica juncea and isorhamnetin $3-O-{\beta}-D-glucopyranoside$, major compound isolated from the ethyl acetate fraction of this plant on hepatic lipid peroxidation and drug-metabolizing enzymes, were evaluated in rats treated with bromobenzene. The extract and isorhamnetin $3-O-{\beta}-D-glucopyranoside$ of oral administration did not show any significant effects on activities of aminopyrine N-demethylase and aniline hydroxylase, enzymes forming toxic epoxide by bromobenzene as well as on glutathione content. However, both methanol extract and isorhamnetin $3-O-{\beta}-D-glucopyranoside$ significantly recovered the decreased activities of glutathione s-transferase and epoxide hydrolase, and also reduced the lipid peroxide level in rats treated with bromobenzene. From the results, the protections of this plant against bromobenzene-induced hepatotoxicity are thought to be via enhancing the activities of epoxide hydrolase and glutathione s-transferase, enzymes removing toxic epoxide, and reducing the lipid peroxide level.

불소성 $Al_2O_3-C$질 내화벽돌의 특성에 미치는 첨가물의 영향 (Effects of Additives on Properties of Unfired $Al_2O_3-C$ Bricks)

  • The effect of additives on properties of unfired Al2O3-C bricks were investigated. The increase of carbon content and the addition of MgO or spinel improved the resistances against spalling and corrosion of unfired Al2O3-C bricks. Also, the oxidation resistance of unfired Al2O3-C brick was increased by adopting complex metals of Al and Si in spite of the increase of carbon content.

  • Ferroelectric anomaly in PbO-{{{{ { {B }_{2 }O }_{3 } }}-{{{{ {TiO }_{3 } }}-BaO glasses which is observed in DAT measurements was in-vestigated together with the effect of BaO content on the shift of Cuire temperature. The temperature where the ferroelectric anomaly apperars on cooling in DTA decreased in proportion with increasing BaO content,. For as-crystallized samples the ferroelectric anomaly was not observed on heating but on cooling whilist for powder samples leached chemically from the crystallized samples both endothermic and ex-otehrmic peaks were observed. This fact suggests that the appearance of the ferroelectric anomaly in DAT largely depends on glassy phases surrounding individual {{{{ {PbTiO }_{3 } }} crystals rather than effects of grain size and crystallinity.

$Er^{+3}$ 첨가된 인산염 레이저 유리의 탈 수산기 영향에 관한 분광학적 특성 (Dehydration effects on spectroscopic properties of $Er^{+3}$ doped phosphate laser Glass)

  • 눈에 안정한(1.53um) 인산염 레이저 유리를 제조하기 위한 기본 조성 (mole%)은 $55P_2O_5\cdot24BaO\cdot10K_2O\cdot4Al_2O_3\cdot6Yb_2O_3$로 하고, 활성 이온은 $Er^{+3}$로, sensitizer로는 $Cr^{+3}(Yb^{+3})$을 사용하였다. 혼합된 원료 조성은 대기와 원료로부터 혼입되는 OH group을 제거하기 위하여 open 시스템에서 가스 버블을 공급하였으며, 용융물에 공급된 시간 변화에 따라 분광학적 특성 변화를 조사하였다. OH oscillations linear 에 의해 quenching된 $Er^{+3}$ 형광방출 확률은 $3500cm^{-1}$ 에서 OH stretching vibration band의 흡수계수에 의존하고 있으며, 이때 $Er^{+3}$의 농도는 $1.6\times10^{19}$에서 $21.2\times10^{19}$ ion/$cm^2$ 범위에서 존재하였다.

만성 골수성 백혈병 세포주에서 As2O3가 세포주기 및 세포고사에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Arsenic Trioxide on Cell Cycle and Apoptosis in Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia Cell Line)

  • Leukemia arises in hematopoietic progenitor cells and is characterized by impaired or blocked differentiation, uncontrolled proliferation and resistance to apoptosis. Molecular mechanisms underlying cellular functions by $As_2O_3$, however, have been poorly investigated. The consensus of several reports is that $As_2O_3$ induces apoptosis in leukemia cells by activating genes for apoptosis. The present study aimed to investigate the effects of $As_2O_3$ on the cell cycle and its morphological change and a relationship between the caspase-3 and $As_2O_3$-induced apoptosis. Caspase-3 is involved in $As_2O_3$-induced apoptosis in K562 cells. In this study, to address whether $As_2O_3$-induced apoptosis is mediated by caspase-3 activity, the same samples were probed with a specific antibody. The pretreatment of $25{\mu}M$ Z-VAD-fmk, a specific inhibitor of caspase, decreased $As_2O_3$-induced cytotoxicity. And $As_2O_3$ significantly increased the percentages of the cells accumulated in the G2/M phase of the cell cycle in a time- and dose-dependent manner. Chromatin condensational changes were observed with Hoechst 33258 staining after treatment of $As_2O_3$. It was shown that $As_2O_3$-induced apoptosis is controlled through caspase-3 activation. These results may provide a useful rationale for CML treatment.

  • ZnO varistor with composition of ZnO(90wt%)-$Bi_2O_3$(3wt%)-$Sb_2O_3$(3.61wt%)-$CO_2O_3$(1.16wt%)-NiO (0.88wt%)-$MnO_2$(0.71wt%)-$Cr_2O_3$(0.93wt%) according to $Al_2O_3$ addtive was fabricated by sintering methods. The optimal densification were established for the processing conditions of 8000 rpm 190$^{\circ}C$ spray drying and 1200$^{\circ}C$ 2hrs sintering. Then here investigated how additive compotions and processing variables affected the electrical and the phesical properties of these ZnO varistors.

$Fe_2O_3$-$Bi_2O_3$ 소결체의 전기적 Switching 특성(I) (Electrical Switching Effects in the Sintered $Fe_2O_3$-$Bi_2O_3$)

  • 700°∼850℃의 온도구간에서 소결한 Fe2O3-Bi2O3 소결체에서 전기적 Switching 현상이 관찰되었다. 30°∼200℃의 주위온도구간에서 이들 소결체의 직류전도도는 소결온도가 증가함과 주위온도의 증가함에 따라 증가하였다. Current channel의 형성과 Switching 전압의 주위온도 의존성에 의해 Fe2O3-Bi2O3 소결체의 주된 전기적 Switching 기구는 열적효과로 생각된다.
