The Preparation of Non-aqueous Supercapacitors with LiMn2O4/C Composite Positive Electrodes (LiMn2O4/C 복합 양극을 이용한 비수계 슈퍼커패시터의 제조)

  • Non-aqueous supercapacitors by using activated C and $LiMn_2O_4$ as an active material in a positive electrode were prepared and characterized. From the cyclic voltammetry and AC impedance analysis, the capacitive effect by electric double layer of activated carbon and the faradic effect by intercalation/deintercalation of $Li^+$ ion were observed. Increasing the ratio of $LiMn_2O_4$, specific capacitances and energy densities of supercapacitor were increased. At the ratio of 0.86:0.14 ($LiMn_2O_4:C$), the maximum specific capacitance of 17.51 Wh/L and energy density of 23.83 F/cc were obtained, which were more than twice of those for a conventional electric double layer capacitor. Even after 1,000 charge/discharge cycle, the supercapacitor by using the electrode containing 14% of activated carbon and 86% of $LiMn_2O_4$ showed 60% better specific capacitance and energy density than that by using the electrode containing 100% activated carbon.

  • 희토류 발광 물질은 4f 껍질에 위치하는 전자의 독특한 특성 때문에 발광 소자와 디스플레이에 그 응용성을 확장하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 고효율의 적색과 주황색 형광체를 합성하기 위하여 모체 격자 CaNb2O6에 희토류 이온인 유로퓸과 사마륨을 치환 고용하여 최적의 합성 조건을 조사하였다. Ca1-1.5xNb2O6:REx3+ (RE=Eu, Sm) 형광체 분말 시료는 고상반응법을 사용하여 활성제 이온인 Eu3+와 Sm3+의 농도비를 0, 0.01, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15, 0.20 mol 로 변화시키면서 합성하였다. 초기 물질 CaO, Nb2O5, Eu2O3와 Sm2O3을 화학 적량으로 측정하고, 400 rpm의 속도로 24시간 밀링 작업을 수행한 후에, 건조기 $60^{\circ}C$에서 28시간 건조하고, 시료를 막자 사발에서 갈아 세라믹 도가니에 담아 튜브형 전기로에서 분당 $5^{\circ}C$의 비율로 승온시켜 $500^{\circ}C$에서 5시간 동안 하소와 $1,100^{\circ}C$에서 6시간 소결하여 합성하였다. Eu3+가 도핑된 경우에, 발광 스펙트럼은 Eu3+ 이온의 농도비에 관계없이 강한 적색 발광 스펙트럼이 616 nm에서 관측되었다. 이외에도, 596 nm와 708 nm에서 상대적으로 발광 세기가 약한 주황색 발광과 적색 발광 신호가 검출되었으며, 541 nm에서는 매우 약한 녹색스펙트럼이 관측되었다. Eu3+ 이온의 농도비에 0.01 mol에서 0.15 mol로 증가함에 따라 주발광 신호의 세기는 점점 증가하였으며, 0.15 mol에서 최대 발광 세기를 나타내었다. Eu3+ 이온의 농도비가 0.20 mol 로 더욱 증가함에 따라 주 피크의 세기는 농도 소강 현상에 의하여 현저히 감소함을 보였다. 한편, 주된 흡광 스펙트럼은 279 nm에서 나타났는데, 이것은 전하전달밴드 신호이다. Sm3+가 도핑된 형광체 분말의 발광 스펙트럼은 모든 시료의 경우에 613 nm에서 강한 적주황색 발광 스펙트럼이 관측되었고, 상대적으로 세기가 약한 570 nm와 660 nm에 피크를 갖는 황색과 적색 발광 스펙트럼이 발생하였다. 흡광과 발광 스펙트럼의 최대 세기는 0.05 mol에서 나타났으며, Sm3+ 이온의 농도비가 더욱 증가함에 따라 흡광과 발광 세기는 급격하게 감소하였다.

  • (Bi$_2$O$_2$)$^{2+}$층 사이에 두 개의 Ta-O 팔면체로 연결된 Bi 계의 층상 페로브스카이트 구조인 SrBi$_2$Ta$_2$O$_{9}$ (SBT) 박막을 XPS를 이용하여 깊이별 화학 상태 변화를 분석하였다. 아르곤 이온으로 SBT 박막을 식각하면, SBT 박막의 각 구성물들은 가속 Ar$^{+}$ 이온의 에너지에 따라 변화한다. SBT 각 구성물 중 Sr 3d의 화학 상태는 Ar$^{+}$ 이온의 에너지변화에 따라 근소하게 변화한다. 반면에, Ta 4f와 Bi 4f의 화학 상태 변화는 인가되는 Ar$^{+}$ 이온 에너지에 확실하게 의존한다. 특히, Bi 4f는 Sr과 Ta에 비해 낮은 Ar$^{+}$ 이온 에너지에서도 Bi-O의 화학 상태가 금속 Bi 화학 상태로 현저하게 변화한다. 이러한 SBT 박막의 화학 상태 변화는 산호 원자의 선택적인 식각 때문에 발생하며 선택적인 식각은 SBT 박막 내에서 각 구성물과 산소간의 질량 차이와 각 구성물의 열적 안정성에 의존함을 알 수 있다.

A Study about Formant Characteristics of Nasalized Vowels (비성화된 모음의 음형대 특성 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper was to analyze the effects of nasalization on vowels. Ten males and 7 females produced 5 vowels (/a/, /e/, /i/, /o/, /u/) in conditions: normal and nasalized. In this study we compared normal vowels' formant with nasalized vowels' and examined nasal-formant in the nasalized vowels. The results was as follows: First, there was a significant difference between normal vowels and nasalized in terms of F1 and F2. Second, the nasal formants were observed in nasalized vowels more frequently in females than males. Third, N1 appeared to influence F1 of vowels whereas N2 seemed to have an impact on F2 and/or F3.

Preparation of PVdF/Fe3O4-GO (MGO) Composite Membrane by Using Electrospinning Technology and its Arsenic Removal Characteristics (전기방사법을 이용한 PVdF/Fe3O4-GO(MGO) 복합 분리막 제조 및 비소 제거 특성평가)

  • In this study, the PVdF/MGO composite nanofiber membranes (PMGs) introducing Iron oxide-Graphene oxide ($Fe_3O_4/GO$, Metallic graphene oxide; MGO) was prepared via electrospinng method and its arsenic removal characteristics were investigated. The thermal treatment was carried out to improve the mechanical strength of nanofiber membranes and then the results showed that of outstanding improvement effect. However, in case of PMGs, the decreasing tendency of mechanical strength was indicated as increasing MGO contents. From the results of pore-size analysis, it was confirmed that the porous structured membranes with 0.3 to $0.45{\mu}m$ were prepared. For the water treatment application, the water flux measurement was carried out. In particular, PMG2.0 sample showed about 70% improved water flux results ($153kg/m^2h$) compared to that of pure PVdF nanofiber membrane ($91kg/m^2h$) under the 0.3 bar condition. In addition, the PMGs have indicated the high removal rates of both As(III) and As(V) (up to 81% and 68%, respectively). Based on the adsorption isotherm analysis, the adsorption of As(III) and As(V) ions were both more suitable for the Freundlich. From all of results, it was concluded that PVdF/MGO composite nanofiber membranes could be utilized as a water treatment membrane and for the Arsenic removal applications.

Studies on the Estimation of K2O Requirement for rice through the Chemical Test Data of Paddy Top Soil (화학분석(化學分析)을 통(通)한 수도(水稻)의 가리적량(加里適量) 추정(推定)에 관한 연구(硏究))

  • This study has been made to find out the possibilty of successfully using the following $K_2O$ recommended equation $K_2O\;kg/10a=(Ko/\sqrt{Ca+Mg}-Ks/\sqrt{Ca+Mg})sqrt{Ca+Mg}.\;47.\;B\;D$. where $Ko/sqrt{Ca+Mg}=0.03518+0.0007658\;Sio_2/O.M$. $K_Ssqrt{Ca+Mg}$=Exchangeable K me/100g/$\sqrt{Total\;soluble(Ca+Mg)me/100g\;in\;Soil}$ B. D. =Bulk density of top soil, when the dose of Nitrogen for rice is estimated from the following equation: $N\;kg/10a=(4.2+0.096\;SiO_2/O.M).F$ where $F=0.907+0.263x-0.013x^2$ $SiO_2/O.M=(available\;SiO_2=ppm)/(organic\;matter\;%)$in soil For this. two field experiments. one in sandy and the other in clay paddy soil. have been conducted using 3 levels of wollastonite (0, 500, 100kg/10a) as main treatments; 3 levels of $K_2O$ application were used as sub-plots. These were as follows : (1) 8kg of $K_2O$/10a regardless of the K activity-$K/\sqrt{Ca+Mg}$; (2) kg of $K_2O$/10a estimated from the above equation. and (3) same as (2) above plus additional 30% of $K_2O$. The dose of N kg/ 10a was determined from the above equation based on the value of $SiO_2$/O.M. ratio in each treatment. There were three replications. The leading variety of rice in Chung Chong Nam Do area. Akibare (introduced from Japan) was used. The data obtained. through soil and plant analysis and growth and yield observations. have been throughly examined to attain the following summarized conclusions. 1. The nitrogen dose. estimated from the above equation. was in excess for optimum growth of the rice variety Akibare; indicating the necessity of modification onthe value of "F" or the constants in the equation. The concept of using $SiO_2$/O.M. in the equation was shown to be applicable. 2. The dose of potash. estimated from the respective equation given above. also was in excess of the rice requirements indicating the necessity of minor change in the estimation of $Ko/\sqrt{Ca+Mg}$ value and some great modification in the calculation of $Ks/\sqrt{Ca+Mg}$ value for the equation; however the concept of using $K/\sqrt{Ca+Mg}$ as a basis of $K_2O$ recommendation was shown to be quite reasonable. 3. It was found. from the correlation study using the data of paddy yield and amount of $K_2O$ absorbed by rice plants that the substitution of the value of $Ks/\sqrt{Ca+Mg}$ in the equation for the vaule $Ks/\sqrt{Ca+Mg}=0.037+0.78K\;me/100g$ soil was much more applicable than using the value calculated from the data of soil and wollastonite analysis.

  • 실리콘 박막 태양전지에서 전면 투명전도막(TCO)은 태양전지의 전기, 광학적 특성을 결정하는 중요한 기능을 한다. ZnO:Al TCO는 기존에 사용되던 $SnO_2:F$와는 비정질 실리콘(a-Si:H) 박막 태양전지의 윈도우 층으로 사용되는 p a-SiC:H와의 일함수(work function) 차이로 인해 접촉전위(contact barrier)를 형성하게 되며 이로 인해 태양전지의 충진율(fill factor)이 $SnO_2:F$에 비해 감소하는 단점을 보인다. 본 연구에서는 ZnO:Al/p a-SiC:H 계면의 접촉전위 발생원인 및 태양전지 충진율 감소현상에 관한 정확한 원인규명을 위해 다양한 특성을 갖는 버퍼층을 삽입하여 계면특성 및 태양전지의 동작특성을 분석하고자 한다.

Analysis of Temperature dependent Thermal Expansion Behavior of $\textrm{SiC}_\textrm{p}/\textrm{Al}_2\textrm{O}_{3f}/\textrm{Al}$ Composites ($\textrm{SiC}_\textrm{p}/\textrm{Al}_2\textrm{O}_{3f}/\textrm{Al}$ 복합재료의 온도에 따른 열팽창 특성 해석)

  • This study developed SiC$_{p}$/A1$_2$O$_3$$_{f}$/Al composites for electronic packaging to which reinforcements were added with the volume fractions of 49%, 56% and 63% by the squeeze casting method. 0.8 wt. % of the inorganic binder as well as the A1$_2$O$_3$ fiber and SiC Particles with the volume fraction of 1:10 were added to the composites, which were produced in the newly designed mold. For the produced SiC/Al composites, the CTEs (coefficients of thermal expansion) were measured from 30 to 300 and compared with the FEM numerical simulation to analyze the temperature dependent properties. The experiment showed the CTEs of SiC$_{p}$/A1$_2$O$_3$$_{f}$/Al composites that were intermediate values of those of Rule of Mixture and Turner's Model. The CTEs were close to Turner's Model in the room temperature and approached the Rule of Mixture as the temperature increases. These properties analyzed from the difference of the average stress acting between the matrix and the reinforcements proposed in this study.

Mechanical Properties and Resistance to Freezing and Thawing of the Recycled Aggregate Concrete with Metakaolin (메타카올린을 혼합한 재생골재 콘크리트의 역학적 특성 및 동결융해 저항성)

  • Recycled aggregate concrete has lower strength and durability compared to concrete with natural aggregate. Therefore, metakaolin is used to improve the properties of recycled aggregate concrete. Main components of metakaolin are $SiO_2$ and $Al_2O_3$. and specific surface area is 9 times larger than that of ordinary portland cement. Quality of demolished-recycled aggregate(DRA) satisfies the type 1 of KS F 2573, but quality of source-recycled aggregate(SRA) does not satisfy with the type 2 of KS F 2573. When metakaolin was replaced with 20% of cement, compressive strength of concrete with SRA and DRA develops about 40~64% of control concrete. Water absorption ratio was reduced about 2% by replacing 20% metakaolin and it represents low compared to the natural aggregate concrete without metakaolin. In addition, the resistance to freezing and thawing, of concrete with DRA is indicated to remarkably enhanced due to the contribution of metakaolin. However, when metakaolin is replaced with 20% of cement, relative dynamic modulus of elasticity of concrete with SRA was below 60% at 210 freezing and thawing cycles.

The Properties of Flow and Compressive Strength of Mortar According In Replacement Ratio of Rapidly-Chilled Steel Slag Pine Aggregate (급냉 제강 슬래그 잔골재 대체율에 따른 모르타르의 유동성 및 압축강도 특성)

  • The steel slag, a by-product which is produced by refining pig iron during the manufacture of steel, is mainly used as road materials after aging. It is necessary to age steel slag for long time in air because the reaction with water and free-CaO in steel slag could make the expansion of volume. This problem prevents steel slag from being used as aggregate for concrete. However, steel slag used in this study was controled by a air-jet method which rapidly cools substance melted at a high temperature. The rapidly-chilled method would prevent from generation of free-CaO in steel slag. This study dealt with the influence of the using rate of rapidly-chilled steel slag on flow, dosage of SP, W/C ratio, and strength of mortar by statistical experimental design. Also, the results of this experiment were approved by statistical analysis methods, such as analysis of variance and F-testing. As results of F-testing, this paper proved at $1\%$ level of significance that the more the using rate of rapidly-chilled steel slag increased, the more this affected the enhancement of flow, the decrease of dosage of SP and W/C ratio, and the development of compressive strength. Also, considering the fluidity and compressive strength of mortar, it is desirable to use $75\%$ of rapidly-chilled steel slag for river sand.
