  • This study focuses on investigating and analyzing overall information use behavior of the health fields researchers. Questionaries were 116 researchers in there nursing university or college and EMT college. Four areas were tested on the basis of the purpose that there would exist unique characteristics in the information seeking behavior of health fields researchers. The findings of the study shows that health fields researchers prefer monographs and journals; they tend to use current materials; the first information source for their research activities is the cited references in the book or journal article; they are likely to delegate literature searching to the librarian, but they tend to conduct direct searching in online setting; in general, they react positively for the rapid change in information environment caused by recent development of information technology. It is emphasized that to design an efficient information system and provide an effective information service in the health science related library or information center, it is essential to consider the major characteristics and attributes of health fields researchers in terms of their information use behavior.

  • Quality management is a recent phenomenon. Advanced civilizations that supported the arts and crafts allowed clients to choose goods meeting higher quality standards than normal goods. There are many methods for quality improvement. Health care, refers to the treatment and management of illness, and the preservation of health through services offered by the medical, dental, complementary and alternative medicine, pharmaceutical, clinical laboratory sciences (in vitro diagnostics), nursing, and allied health professions. Health care embraces all the goods and services designed to promote health, including "preventive, curative and palliative interventions, whether directed to individuals or to populations. The overall impact of managed care remains widely debated. Proponents argue that it has increased efficiency, improved overall standards, and led to a better understanding of the relationship between costs and quality. Practices can solicit feedback from patients in a variety of ways: phone surveys, written surveys, focus groups or personal interviews. What do I do with the results? While you don't have to act on every suggestion that your patients give you, you should take action on the key items that are causing dissatisfaction.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to validate the Moral Intelligence Checklist(MIC) of Borba (2001) modified by Kim et al. (2010) for college students majoring in health. Methods: The MIC survey was performed with 348 college students in Gongju, Chungnam. Initial MIC modified by Kim et al. (2010) consists of 7 factors (empathy, self-control, conscience, kindness, fairness, respect and tolerance) and 42 items. Data were analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis. Results: We finally analyzed with 37 items, because 5 items with estimates level below 0.5 were deleted. The Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ of 7 factors were ranged from .780 to .851. Finally, the model fit of GFI(.805), CFI(.864), RMSEA(.033) was satisfied with confirmatory factor analysis using structural equation model. Conclusion: This MIC model is suggested to be used in development of moral intelligence educational programs.

The purposes of this study were to review of demand and issues of the hospice care programes and to recommand the hospice care approaches in south Korea that using the book-review method. At this point, although at present there is a general unawareness of hospice throughout Korean society, the public will become gradually aware of hospice. This will thus aid the development of hospices. Awareness will come about because of the educational efforts of medical schools, nursing schools, allied health training programs, practicing hospice care giver, universities, and others interested in hospice education. At present, there are many issues of the hospice care program that are hospice resources problems of manpower, facilities, finances, and cost of hospice services, quality of care, and ethics. Additional studies are needed to determine the most efficacious organizational hospice models for varying conditions. They will insist upon reasonable regulatory agency regulations that will promote the hospice idea and. permit adequate remuneration for services provided. More research is needed on health professionals', patients', and others' attitudes towards death.
