한국산 수생식물의 원예적 이용에 관한 연구 (Feasibility for Horticultural Use of Korean Native Water Plants)

  • The feasibility as floricultural crops and water garden plant materials of Korean native water plants was investigated. Propagation type, growing and flowering time were observed for development as water garden, interior aquarium plant and water purification materials. Flowering time of the water plant was 7 species in May, 28 species in June, 49 species in July, 55 species in August, 47 species in September, and 17 species in October. Beautiful flowering water plants were Nymphaeaceae, Nymphoides peltata, Nymphoides indica, Monochoria korsakowii, Iris pseudacorus, Iris laevigata, and etc. Ornamental leafy water plants were Ceratopteris thalictroides, Ludwigia ovalis, Myriophyllum verticillatim, Limnophila sessiliflora, Blyxa aubertii, Blyxa echinosperma, Vallisneria asiatica, Hydrilla verticillata and Eleocharis acicularis etc. Isoetes japonica, Isoetes coreana and Isoetes sinensis were propagated by spore. Blyxa aubertii, Blyxa echinosperma, Myriophyllum verticillatim, Nuphar japonicum, Nelumbo nucifera, Ottelia alismoides, Sagittaria aginashi, Trapa japonica, and Trapa natans were propagated by seed. Persicaria amphibia, Ceratophyllum demersum (hornwort), Myriophyllum verticillatim, Myriophyllum spicatum, Oenanthe javanica, Potamogeton crispus, Hydrilla verticillata and Acorus calamus were propagated by division. And Vallisneria asiatica, Hydrilla verticillata and Phragmites japonica were propagated by runner. Ceratophyllum demersum (hornwort), Myriophyllum verticillatim, Myriophyllum spicatum, Limnophila sessilifera were propagated by adventitious bud. Ceratopteris thalictroides was propagated by leaf cutting. The 35 genera, 68 species of water plants were available for horticultural use. The 45 species such as Iris laevigata, Eleocharis acicularis, Menyanthes trifoliata, Nymphaea minima, Nuphar pumilum, Nymphoides coreana, Nymphoides peltata, Nymphoides indica, Nymphaea tetragona (water lily), and Typha latifolia could be use for water garden plant. The 21 species such as Limnophila sessilifera, Vallisneria asiatica, Ceratophyllum demersum and Hydrilla verticillata available for indoor aquarium. The 19 species such as Ottelia alismoides, Oenanthe javanica, Limnophila sessilifera and Blyxa echinosperma could be culture in container. The 27 species such as Trapa japonica, Trapa incisa, Phramites commuris (reed), Phragmites japonica, and Zizania latifolia were usable for water purification plant materials.

한국산 수련과 식물에 관한 본초학적 연구 (A Herbological Study on the Plants of Nymphaeaceae in Korea)

  • Objective : For the purpose of developing Korean herbology of the plants to Nymphaeaceae in Korea, the literatures of the successive generations have been thoroughly investigated to prepare this article.Methods : Books and research papers about Herbology which published at home and abroad were examined.Results : A list was made about Nymphaeaceae plant which were cultivated or grew naturally in Korea, after investigated the data on domestic and foreign Nymphaeaceae plants. Out of those lists, serviceable plants were selected and with those available plants, their distributions were analysed and parts which can be used as medicines were divided into 3 categories such as oriental medicine name, scientific name and non-official name. Nymphaeaceae's properties flavor, channels they use, effects, and toxicity were also noted. Nymphaeaceae (grew in Korea) were divided into 6 classes with 10 species. Out of those, 5 classes with 5 species were found serviceable which indicates 50% of all. Out of all 10 species of Nymphaeaceae family, Nuphar genus were found 4 species, which were shown the most. Among 5 genus of Nymphaeceae species, medicinal plants were all one species each. Out of all serviceable parts in Nymphaeaceae, Etc parts took first place as 10 species. There are no toxic, the survey said.Conclusion : There were totaled to 6 genera and 10 species in Dioscoreaceae in Korea and among them medicinal plants are 5 genera, 5 species, some 50% in total.

순채 생육지에서 수체와 저토의 환경요인 분석 (Characterization of Water and Sediment Environment in Water Shield (Brasenia schreberi) Habitats)

  • In order to identify the habitat characteristics of water shield (Brasenia schreberi), water quality and sediment characters were investigated. Water shield had peculial habitats such as old reservoir, developed basin-like reservior, a water depth within 1.5 m, constant water level, and thick sediment layer at the bottom. The species had very dense populations under the favorable growing conditions and occasionally grew together with Utricularia japonica. When water shield decreased, Nelumbo nucifera, Nuphar japonicum and Zizania latifolia increased. Natural populations of water shield need protection because it is endangered by the human activities and their harvest. The optimal conditions for the growth of water shield was near neutral pH. low conductivity and low turbidity. Therefore the input of pollutants should be controlled for its growth. The inorganic ion contents such as K, Mg, and Na were higher in the water shield growing area. Especially iron content of the sediments in the reservoirs with water shield was nearly five times as high as that in the reservoirs without water shield. thus iron might be one of the major limiting factors for the growth. It was considered that molybdenum can be another major factor because water shield is a nitrogen fixing plant.

탐진강 하구역 일대(강진군)의 관속식물상 (Floristic Study of Tamjin River Estuary in Gangjin-gun, Korea)

  • In order to provide fundamental information about the floristic composition of the area along with an assessment of the environmental impact, a floristic study of the vascular plants in the Tamjin River estuary in Gangjin-gun was conducted for a total of nine days, in the period from June 2014 to September 2014. We found that the vascular plants in this region comprised 424 taxa belong to 102 families, 281 genera, 390 species, 5 subspecies, 26 varieties, and 3 forma. Five taxa of Korean endemic plants including Weigela subsessilis (Nakai) L.H.Bailey, Lespedeza maximowiczii var. tricolor (Nakai) Nakai, and Clematis trichotoma Nakai were collected. Two least concern (LC) taxa of rare plants (as designated by the Korea Forest Service) were collected: Hydrocharis dubia (Blume) Backer and Platycladus orientalis (L.) Franco. Ten the floristic regional indicator taxa from the third to the fifth grade were identified: two taxa belonged to grade IV, and eight taxa belonged to grade III. Twenty-four taxa of salt-tolerant plants, including Artemisia fukudo Makino, Carex rugulosa Kuk., and Suaeda glauca (Bunge) Bunge, as well as 44 taxa of aquatic plants, including Najas marina L., Nuphar oguraensis Miki, and Nymphoides indica (L.) Kuntze, were investigated in this region. Fifty-nine taxa of naturalized plants were recorded, among which the following six taxa were plants that caused ecosystem disturbance: Ambrosia artemisiifolia L., Humulus scandens (Lour.) Merr., Lactuca scariola L., Rumex acetosella L., Solidago altissima L., and Symphyotrichum pilosum (Willd.) G.L.Nesom.

관개(灌漑) 배수로(排水路)의 수생잡초(水生雜草) 분포(分布)와 방제(防除)에 관한 연구(硏究) (Distribution and Control of Aquatic Weeds in Irrigation and Drainage Canals)

  • 동진강(東津江) 유역(流域)의 관개(灌漑), 배수로(排水路) 13개소(個所)를 선정하여 잡초(雜草)의 분포(分布)를 조사(調査)하였고 설문(說問)을 통하여 전국에서 53개 농지개량조합(農地改良組合)을 대상으로 관할구역내(管割區域內) 수로(水路)에서 문제(問題)되는 수생잡초(水生雜草)의 발생정도(發生程度)를 조사(調査)하였으며 제초제(除草劑)에 의한 수생잡초(水生雜草)의 방제법(防除法)을 검토(檢討)하였다. 1. 동진강(東津江) 유역(流域)의 관개(灌漑), 배수로(排水路)에서 발생(發生)된 잡초(雜草)는 나도겨폴, 붕어마름, 줄폴, 개연꽃, 갈대, 나사말, 마름, 물수세미와 말즘이었다. 2. 전국적인 수생잡초(水生雜草)의 발생정도(發生程度)를 살펴 보면 수로(水路) 변잡초중(邊雜草中)에서는 줄풀이 가장 많았고, 갈대, 나도겨풀의 순으로 발생(發生)되었다. 수중잡초중(水中雜草中)에서는 붕어마름이 가장 많이 발생(發生)되었고 물수세미, 말즘, 나사말, 말도 비교적 많이 발생(發生)되었다. 3. 나도겨풀은 Paraquat 73.5g/10a, Glyphosate 91.5g/10a와 Fluridone 74.7g/10a에서, 줄풀은 Paraquat 220.5g/10a, Glyphosate 366.0g/10a 와 Fluridone 74.7g/10a에서 고사(枯死)되었다. 붕어마름과 말즘은 2, 4, 5-TP 540g/10a와 Fluridone 100g/10a에서 고사(枯死)되었으나 2, 4-D 600g/10a에서는 80% 방제(防除)되었다.

만경강 본류의 자연정화능 향상을 위한 식생학적 진단 (Assessment of Water Purification Plant Vegetation for Enhancement of Natural Purification in Mankyeong River)

  • 만경강 본류를 대상으로 수질을 개선하기 위한 일환으로 하천식생의 종구성, 하천형태에 따른 군락의 구조, 단면분석을 통한 현존식생의 분포 등을 종합적으로 분석하여 하천 생태계에 대한 종합적 해석과 식생에 의한 자연정화능 활용방안을 평가하고자 2001년 6월부터 2002년 3월까지 수질 및 식생에 관한 자연정화능을 조사, 평가하였다. 만경강 본류 수질중 T-N의 농도는 갈수기인 겨울철이 17.23 mg/L로 가장 높았으며, 여름철이 8.59 mg/L로 낮았고, 상류보다는 하류에서 그 농도가 높았다. 또한 평균 T-P의 농도는 여름철과 가을철에 각각 0.45, 0.47 mg/L로 비슷하였으나 겨울철에 1.79 mg/L로 농도가 높아졌다. BOD의 농도는 상류유역에서 $0.95{\sim}2.57\;mg/L$$I{\sim}II$급수 수질를 나타내었으나 하류유역에서는 $6.87{\sim}9.72\;mg/L$로 V급수에 가까운 수질이었다. 만경강 상류의 식물상은 73과 134속 218종 33변종으로 총 251종류가 조사되었으며, 중류 일대에서 조사된 식물은 33과 69속 82종 16변종으로 총 98종류가 조사되었다. 그리고 만경강 하류 일대에서 관찰된 식물은 27과 58속 %종 14변종으로 총 85종류가 조사되었다. 만경강 유역에서 자연정화능에 의한 수질개선을 도모하기 위해 식물 생활형별로 하천 정화능이 뛰어난 식물을 조사 분석한 결과 침수식물은 붕어마름, 검정말, 부엽식물은 어리연꽃, 왜개연꽃, 추수식물은 갈대, 줄, 부들, 습생식물은 큰황새 냉이, 고마리 등이 질소 인 흡수능이 우수한 식물이었다.
