In order to evaluate the performance of arrow that manufactures through production process, it is used that personal experiences such as hunters who have been using bow and arrow for a long time, technicians who produces leisure and sports equipment, and experts related with this industries. Also, the intensity of arrow's impact point which obtains from repeated shooting experiments is an important indicator for evaluating the performance of arrow. There are some ongoing researches for evaluating performance of arrow using intensity of the arrow's impact point and the arrow's flying image that obtained from high-speed camera. However, the research that deals with mutual relation between distribution of the arrow's impact point and characteristics of the arrow (length, weight, spine, overlap, straightness) is not enough. Therefore, this paper suggests both the system that could describes the distribution of the arrow's impact point into numerical representation and the correlation model between characteristics of arrow and impact points. The inputs of the model are characteristics of arrow (spine, straightness). And the output is MAD (mean absolute distance) of triangular shaped coordinates that could be obtained from 3 times repeated shooting by changing knock degree 120. The input-output data is collected for learning the correlation model, and ANN (artificial neural network) is used for implementing the model.
It takes the most important role the problem of assigining vehicles and desigining optimal routes for each vehicle in order to enhance the logistics service level. While solving the problem, various cost factors such as number of vehicles, the capacity of vehicles, total travelling distance, should be considered at the same time. Although most of logistics service providers introduced the Transportation Management System (TMS), the system has the limitation which can not consider the practical constraints. In order to make the solution of TMS applicable, it is required experts revised the solution of TMS based on their own experience and intuition. In this research, different from previous research which have focused on minimizing the total cost, it has been proposed the methodology which can enhance the efficiency and fairness of asset utilization, simultaneously. First of all, it has been adopted the Cluster-First Route-Second (CFRS) approach. Based on the location of customers, we have grouped customers as clusters by using four different clustering algorithm such as K-Means, K-Medoids, DBSCAN, Model-based clustering and a procedural approach, Fisher & Jaikumar algorithm. After getting the result of clustering, it has been developed the optiamal vehicle routes within clusters. Based on the result of numerical experiments, it can be said that the propsed approach based on CFRS may guarantee the better performance in terms of total travelling time and distance. At the same time, the variance of travelling distance and number of visiting customers among vehicles, it can be concluded that the proposed approach can guarantee the better performance of assigning tasks in terms of fairness.
The main purpose of this paper is to describe a highly efficient common mid-point (CMP) data acquisition method for ground-penetrating radar (GPR) surveying, which is intended to widen the application of GPR. The most important innovation to increase the efficiency of CMP data acquisition is continuous monitoring of the GPR antenna positions, using a real-time kinematic Global Positioning System (RTK-GPS). Survey time efficiency is improved because the automatic antenna locating system that we propose frees us from the most time-consuming process-deployment of the antenna at specified positions. Numerical experiments predicted that the data density and the CMP fold would be increased by the increased efficiency of data acquisition, which results in improved signal-to-noise ratios in the resulting data. A field experiment confirmed this hypothesis. The proposed method makes GPR surveys using CMP method more practical and popular. Furthermore, the method has the potential to supply detailed groundwater information. This is because we can convert the spatially dense dielectric constant distribution, obtained by using the CMP method we describe, into a dense physical value distribution that is closely related to such groundwater properties as water saturation.

In this study, an artificial intelligence(AI) was developed to help with facial expression practice in order to express emotions. The developed AI used multimodal inputs consisting of sentences and facial images for deep neural networks (DNNs). The DNNs calculated similarities between the emotions predicted by the sentences and the emotions predicted by facial images. The user practiced facial expressions based on the situation given by sentences, and the AI provided the user with numerical feedback based on the similarity between the emotion predicted by sentence and the emotion predicted by facial expression. ResNet34 structure was trained on FER2013 public data to predict emotions from facial images. To predict emotions in sentences, KoBERT model was trained in transfer learning manner using the conversational speech dataset for emotion classification opened to the public by AIHub. The DNN that predicts emotions from the facial images demonstrated 65% accuracy, which is comparable to human emotional classification ability. The DNN that predicts emotions from the sentences achieved 90% accuracy. The performance of the developed AI was evaluated through experiments with changing facial expressions in which an ordinary person was participated.

This paper introduces a simulation method for the collision between roadblocks and vehicles using LS-DYNA. The need to evaluate the performance of anti-ram barriers to prepare for vehicle impact has increased since vehicle impact threats have been included as a design criterion for nuclear power plants. Anti-ram barriers are typically certified for their performance through collision experiments. However, because Koreas has no performance testing facilities for anti-ram barriers, their performance can only be verified through simulations. LS-DYNA is a specialized program for collision simulation. Various organizations, including NCAC, distributes numerical models that have been validated for their accuracy with collision tests. In this study, we constructed a finite element model of the most critical vehicle barrier module and simulated collision between roadblocks and vehicles. The calculated results were verified by applying the validation criteria for vehicle safety facility collision simulations of NCHRP 179.
Reinforced concrete bridge decks are the first to be damaged by vehicle loads and rain infiltration. Concrete deterioration primarily occurs owing to the corrosion of rebars and other metal components by chlorides used for snow and ice melting. The structural condition and concrete deterioration of the bridge decks within the pavement were evaluated using ground-penetrating radar (GPR) survey data. To evaluate concrete deterioration in bridges, it is necessary to develop GPR data analysis techniques to accurately identify deteriorated locations and rebar positions. GPR exploration involves the acquisition of reflection and diffraction wave signals due to differences in radar wave propagation velocity in geotechnical media. Therefore, a full-waveform inversion (FWI) method was developed to evaluate the deterioration of reinforced concrete bridge decks by estimating the radar wave propagation velocity in geotechnical media using GPR data. Numerical experiments using a GPR velocity model confirmed the deterioration phenomena of bridge decks, such as concrete delamination and rebar corrosion, verifying the applicability of the developed technology. Moreover, using the synthetic GPR data, FWI facilitates the determination of rebar positions and concrete deterioration locations using inverted velocity images.
Single-channel seismic exploration has proven effective in delineating subsurface geological structures using small-scale survey systems. The seismic data acquired through zero- or near-offset methods directly capture subsurface features along the vertical axis, facilitating the construction of corresponding seismic sections. However, substantial noise in single-channel seismic data hampers precise interpretation because of the low signal-to-noise ratio. This study introduces a novel approach that integrate noise reduction and signal enhancement via matrix rank optimization to address this issue. Unlike conventional rank-reduction methods, which retain selected singular values to mitigate random noise, our method optimizes the entire singular value spectrum, thus effectively tackling both random and erratic noises commonly found in environments with low signal-to-noise ratio. Additionally, to enhance the horizontal continuity of seismic events and mitigate signal loss during noise reduction, we introduced an adaptive weighting factor computed from the eigenimage of the seismic section. To access the robustness of the proposed method, we conducted numerical experiments using single-channel Sparker seismic data from the Chukchi Plateau in the Arctic Ocean. The results demonstrated that the seismic sections had significantly improved signal-to-noise ratios and minimal signal loss. These advancements hold promise for enhancing single-channel and high-resolution seismic surveys and aiding in the identification of marine development and submarine geological hazards in domestic coastal areas.

This study deals with an analysis on the sinking resistance for the model purse seine, in the case of different netting material and sinkers. The experiment was carried out using rune simplified model seines of knotless nettings. Dimension of model seines 420cm for corkline and 85cm for seine depth, three groups of models rigged 25, 45 and 60g with the same weighted sinkers in water were used. These were named PP-25, PA-25, PES-25, PP-45, PA-45, PES-45, PP-60, PA-60 and PES-60 seine. The densitie($\rho$) of netting materials were 0.91g/cm$cm^3$, 1.14g/cm$cm^3$ and 1.38g/cm$m^3$. Experiments carried out in the observation channel in a flume tank under still water conditions. Sinking motion was recorded by the one set of TV-camera for VTR, and reading coordinate carried out by the video digitization system. Differential equations were derived from the conservation of momenta of the model purse seines and used to determine the sinking speeds of the depths of leadline and the other portions of the seines. An analysis carried out by simultaneous differential equations for numerical method by sub-routine Runge-Kutta-Gill The results obtained were as follows : 1. Average sinking speed of leadline for the model seines rigged 60g with the same weighted sinkers in water was fastest for 12.2cm/sec of PES seine, followed by 11.4cm/sec of PA and 10.7cm/sec of PP seines. 2. The coefficient of resistance for netting of seine was estimated to be $K_D=0.09(\frac{\rho}{\rho_w})^4$ 3. The coefficient of resistance for netting bundle of seine was estimated to be $C_R=0.91(\frac{\rho}{\rho_w})$ 4. In all seines, the calculated depths of leadline closely agreed with the measured ones, each 25g, 45g, 60g of weighted sinkers were put into formulas meas.=1.04cal., meas.=0.99cal. and meas.=0.98 cal.

In this study, the effect of the restoration of Yaksa stream and the construction of an apartment complex by the urban renewal project in the Yaksa district of Chuncheon on air quality in the surrounding area was evaluated using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model simulations. In orderto compare the impact of the project, wind and pollutant concentration fields were simulated using topographic data in 2011 and 2017, which stand for the periods before and after the urban renewal project, respectively. In the numerical experiments, the scenarios were set to analyze the effect of the construction of the apartment complex and the effect of stream restoration. Wind direction and wind speed data obtained from the Chuncheon Automated Synoptic Observing System (ASOS) were used as the inflow boundary conditions, and the simulation results were weighted according to the frequencies of the eight-directional inflow wind directions. The changes in wind speed and NOX concentration distribution according to the changes in building and terrain between scenarios were compared. As a result, the concentration of NOX emitted from the surrounding roads increased by the construction of the apartment complex, and the magnitude of the increase was reduced as the result of including the effect of stream restoration. The concentration of NOX decreased around the restored stream, while the concentration increased significantly around the constructed apartment complex. The increase in the concentration of NOX around the apartment complex was more pronounced in the place located in the rear of the wind direction to the apartment complex, and the effect remains up to the height of the building. In conclusion, it was confirmed that the relative arrangement of apartment complex construction and stream restoration in relation to the main wind direction of the target area was one of the major factors in determining the surrounding air quality.

A subsea tunnel, being a super-sized underground structure must ensure safety at the time of earthquake, as well as at ordinary times. At the time of earthquake, in particular, of a subsea tunnel, a variety of response behaviors are induced owing to relative rigidity to the surrounding ground, or difference of displacement, so that the behavior characteristics can be hardly anticipated. The investigation aims to understand the behavior characteristics switched by earthquake of an imaginary subsea tunnel which passes through a fault zone having different physical properties from those of the surrounding ground. In order to achieve the aim, dynamic response behaviors of a subsea tunnel which passes through a fault zone were observed by means of indoor experiments. For the sake of improved earthquake resistance, a shape of subsea tunnel to which flexible segments have been applied was considered. Afterward, it is believed that a D/B can be established through 3-dimensional earthquake resistance interpretation of various grounds, on the basis of verified results from the experiments and interpretations under various conditions. The present investigation performed 1 g shaking table test in order to verify the result of 3-dimensional earthquake resistance interpretation. A model considering the similitude (1:100) of a scale-down model test was manufactured, and tests for three (3) Cases were carried out. Incident seismic wave was introduced by artificial seismic wave having both long-period and short-period earthquake properties in the horizontal direction which is rectangular to the processing direction of the tunnel, so that a fault zone was modeled. For numerical analysis, elastic modulus of the fault zone was assumed 1/5 value of the modulus of individual grounds surround the tunnel, in order to simulate a fault zone. Resultantly, reduced acceleration was confirmed with increase of physical properties of the fault zone, and the result from the shaking table test showed the same tendency as the result from 3-dimensional interpretation.
