The service quality of theme park is the most important factor for customer's satisfaction, and such satisfaction can lead them to have repurchase intention. Most of the customers revisit a theme park on the basis of their own past experience and information through their friends, which means that service quality plays an important role in the theme park. The intention of revisit is strongly influenced by the primary factor of service quality and price. The neat appearances of its clerks, guideboard, buildings, structures, facilities and so on are the most important part in the properties of service quality. By the above mentioned strategy, the customer's devotion and the long-term expectation of profits could be realized. In other words, high qualified service is the basis of the service marketing for the theme park, contributes to enhancing customer's trust, and promotes communications about the theme park with one another in a friendly way. Besides, it can increase the number of visitors and cause the customers to perceive highly the value of the theme park.

  • The purpose of this study is to derive the environmental factors affecting child loss through correlation analysis between child loss and pedestrian density. The status of lost children was identified through the lost child records and interviews in large parks. In addition, the behavior survey was conducted by photographing the entire outdoor of each park, and visitors was marked on the behavioral maps. Also, the pedestrian density was analyzed by GIS as 100㎡ and 1㎡ grid. As a result, child loss was related to the pedestrian density rather than the number of visitors or the area. Especially, 'Dynamic pedestrian density' and 'Ratio of pedestrian in high density to area' was related to child loss. In other words, the more dynamic behaviors such as play and movement appear, and the more the local area of high density, the higher the probability of child loss. In addition, environmental factors that induce such high density include bottlenecks, overlap of circulation due to multi-functionality of space, concentration of rides, and concentration of guardians due to visual obstacles.

  • The number of visiters to Bukhan Mt. national park, generation quantity of solid waste and collection system were researched to consider a counterplan for the pollution control of the national park and study for developing the effective treatment of solid waste was tried through the proximate analysis of each component containing. Results obtained in this study were summerized as follows; The great part of visitors go on an excursion to the Bukhan Mt. national park during July and August and also, the solid waste was generated nearly a half of the total amount at the same period. The major collection facilities in the national park were waste basket and incineration box. But the incineration box was too large in volume and very far in distance, and its collection period was irregular, so it was cause to the congestion of solid waste and bad smell and dirty. Therefore, to complete collection of solid waste, we must set up the waste basket which able to find within 40~50m from the origination place of solid waste and induce the visitors to throw the solid waste. It was obtained as moisture content: 48.5 wt%, volatile solid: 28.4wt%, fixed solid: 23.1 wt%, lower heating value: 1,320kca1/kg from experimental analysis of solid waste. According to this analysis, the incineration operation is possible, but the generation quantity of solid waste was too small to construct incineration plant for heat recovery. It was found that it is suitable for the aerobic composting by mixing with the night soil which generate in the national park after the recovery of resources such as metals, glasses and plastics.

  • The paper is to estimate the economic value of ecotourism in Anmyeondo tidal wetlands using a double-bounded dichotomous choice (DBDC) model of the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM). For the reliability and the validity of CVM a survey was conducted for 511 visitors by personal interview method in Anmyeondo during August 2000, and respondents were asked for maximum Willingness-To-Pay (WTP) to buy a ticket fer the tidal flat's ecotourism. Overall, respondents answered that they would be willing to pay 55,879 won for a ticket under the study. All equations and results estimated are statistically significant at the 1% or 5% level. For the aggregation of WTP estimates, the sample values are extended to the total annual number of visitors in Anmyeondo area during 1998. A conservative estimate, which considers the calibration factor (0.5) recommended by NOAA (1994) and a positive response rate (83.17%), is 73 billion won.

  • In order to prevent the spread of COVID 19, the body temperature is measured when entering the building. In this paper, we try to certify the entry of the building through real-time face recognition based on the face learning data of visitors. The number of learning images are designed to be automatically labeled to increase facial recognition. Also, it designates the forehead region from the face region as the region of interest for accurate temperature measurements. In the future, we plan to establish a database that stores the temperature, access time, and information of visitors.

  • The contribution made by the tourism sector is strategic enough to provide job opportunities and increase the state's foreign exchange which will be followed by development in the information and technology sectors. The population of this study includes all domestic tourists who visit the Batu City Angkut Museum over 17 years of age and who have obtained information via eWOM from other tourists. Based on the measurement, a minimum of 160 respondents must be selected as the research sample. Non-probability sampling techniques are used to select samples. Social media had been used by companies to provide information, services, and products related to tourism, and it was utilized by tourists to share information about their traveling experiences. Nowadays, tourists have become more selective and critical in selecting their destinations as they have become good observant in finding adequate information about certain destinations before deciding to visit the place. This reaction can be influenced by positive eWOM communication, positive image, and trust given to certain tourist destinations. Therefore, improving the number of visits requires the management of certain tourism service companies to apply proper marketing strategy and provide various advantages and best service quality to attract more visitors and give satisfaction to visitors.

  • In contemporary society, spa has become one of the important healing spaces. As the present urban life has been more and more complex and competitive, space of recreation and healing are dramatically increased in terms of its number as well as location. In the past, there were three kinds of spa visitors. The first was the people who visited spas for medical reasons. The second was the people who visited spas for leisure and refreshment. The third was for social gatherings like in the ancient Rome. In present time, these three reasons are mixed together. As the spa program became rich and various, visitors tends to seek an appropriate spa environment that suits their needs. This is the main background for contemporary spa designs. In any case, concept of healing has been always the core element in spa. Light and sense have vital role to make a unique spa design. This paper aims to study different light and sense applications in contemporary spa designs. Specific focus is to find how light and sense in spa designs act to create a healing environment. 4 spa projects built in Europe after 2000 were selected and were analyzed based on the 4 light and sense characteristics. In conclusion, case analysis was summarized to suggest future possibilities.

  • This study measured the present number of encounters and established the evaluation criterion for the allowable number of encounters in the Seoseokdae summit area (SSA) of Mudeungsan National Park to examine managerial conditions of the number of visitors to the Seoseokdae trail section (STS). Data were obtained from a questionnaire survey of 263 visitors to STS selected through convenient sampling during June 2019. The average number of encounters in SSA was 18.7. Most of the respondents (95.4%) encountered fewer than 30 other visitors. The average maximum number of simultaneous users (AMNSU, measured at 15-minute intervals) in SSA was 13.4 persons (range: 3~31 persons). The AMNSU by the hour was the highest with 21.0 persons at 13-14, followed by 19.8 persons at 11-12, 15.5 persons at 14-15, 15.3 persons at 12-13, 12.3 persons at 10-11, and 10.8 persons at 8-9. Acceptable encounter number (AEN) developed by long-question format (LQF) was 59.2 persons, and that by short-question format (SQF) was 55.1 persons. AEN of the respondents who preferred "near-nature experience" at 27.5 persons was fewer than those who preferred "resort/tourism area like experience" at 46.6 persons. The present number of encounters and AMNUS (range: 3~31 persons) in SSA were fewer than AENs derived from LQF (59.2 persons) and SQF (55.1 persons). Eighty-three percent of the respondents preferred "near-nature experience," while only 10.5% of the respondents preferred "resort/tourism area like experience." 78.4% of the respondents did not perceive that SSA was crowded. The absolute majority of the respondents (92.3%) answered higher personal AEN than the perceived encounter numbers (PEN). The gaps between the personal AEN and the PEN were negatively correlated with perceived crowding.
