Flow characteristics of differential pressure flow meters which have a shape of triangular separate bar (TSB) was investigated according to the machining conditions in pressure tapping holes. Diameter of the pressure taping holes is either 1.0 mm or 1.5 mm. Also, number of the pressure tapping holes are drilled either 9 or 17. The mass flow rate of the TSB flow meters are calibrated with a laminar flow meter by connecting them in line. The mass flow rate in the TSB flow meters are plotted with a non-dimensional parameter H which includes the gas temperature, exhaust gas pressure and differential pressure at the flow meters. An empirical correlation between the mass flow rate at the TSB flow meter and the non-dimensional parameter H was obtained. The empirical correlation showed highly linear relationship between the mass flow rate and the non-dimensional parameter H. The hole size of the pressure tapping holes has a bigger effect on the flow rate than the number of the tapping holes.
Optimum tapping size and number for sap collection were investigated to minimize damage on tree growth and secure resources for sap by sap collection of Acer mono. The amounts of sap collected by tapping size of 12 mm, 10 mm and 8 mm was 189 L, 140 L and 193 L, respectively. Fusion rates by tapping size were 100% for 8 mm, 89% for 10 mm and 85% for 12 mm, respectively. Amount of sap by size and number of tapping were much at three, two and three tappings to small, middle and large diameter tree in case of 8 mm tapping, and it was large in quantity at two tappings of 12 mm tapping to large diameter tree, respectively. Trees tapped from one to three tappings of 8 mm size for small diameter tree with treatment of DB ointment (mixture of thiophane ointment and 2% bamboo charcoal powder) were completely filled up within 6 months. Diameter growth by number of tapping of 8 mm size was 0.60 mm for one tapping, 1.12 mm for two tappings and 0.47 mm for three tappings to small, middle and large diameter tree, respectively. In case of 12 mm tapping size, diameter growth was fast in the order of large (0.55 mm), middle (0.30 mm) and small (0.23 mm) diameter tree, respectively.

Tapping is a machining process that makes a female screw on parts to be assembly together. Recently, as the number of small and compact products increases the radius of tap as small as 1 mm is not unusual and more accurate tapping is needed. In complying with those needs, some high-speed tapping machines with synchronizing function have been developed. This paper describes the development of an ultra high-speed tapping machine up to 10,000rpm. The key factors in the tapping speed are the acceleration/deceleration and the synchronizing errors between spindle motor and fred motor. To minimize the acceleration/deceleration time, a low inertia spindle with a synchronous built-in servo motor was developed. To minimize the synchronizing errors, the tapping cycle algorithm was optimized on an open architecture CNC. The developed tapping machine has the acceleration/deceleration time of 0.13sec/10,000rpm for rigid tapping and the synchronizing error below 4.4%. The cycle time for tapping a female screw of M3 and depth 2 times diameter was 0.55sec.
Flow characteristics of a differential pressure flow meters which have a shape of triangular separate bar (TSB) was investigated according to machining conditions in pressure tapping holes. Size of pressure tapping holes is machined with either 1.0 mm or 1.5 mm in diameter. Also, number of pressure tapping holes are drilled either 9 or 17. The mass flow rate of the TSB flow meters are calibrated with a laminar flow meter by connecting them in line. The mass flow rate in the TSB flow meters are plotted with a non-dimensional parameter H which includes the gas temperature, exhaust gas pressure and differential pressure at the flow meters, and atmospheric pressure.
This study was conducted to understand the effects of weather and tapping date on yield and quality of lactree(Rhus verniciflua) sap yield showed a significant positive correlation with the minimum temperature of one day before sap collection at 1% level and with theminimum humidity of theday of sap collection at 5% level. However, the differences between the maximum and the minimum temperatures and humidities of the day of sap collection were negatively correlated with the sap yield at 5% level. Multiple regression analysis indicated that the minimum temperature of one day bofore sap collection and the minumum humidity of the day sap collection were important factors for increasing sap yield. The high sap yield of lactree by Japanese tapping method was recorded during mid-July and early August. Seasonal variation in lactree sap constituents was observed. The sap collected on 15th of August contained the highest urushiol content (68.3%) and the lowest water content resulting in high quality of lactree sap. By reversed-phase HPLC analysis, fove urushiol components were separated from each other depending on the number of doulbe bonds in the side-chain , and seaxonal variation of urushiol composition was noticed. The 3-C15 triene content fo the sap collected on 5th of July was the highest(77.56%) indicating the major component of urushiol which affects lactree sap quality.
Closing processes of taping holes and diameter growth of taped trees of Acer mono were investigated to understand the effects of sap taping and number of tapping holes on tree growth and closing speed of holes. Closing processes of tapping holes were faster at trees taped of ten holes than trees tapped of one, three, five holes during the study period, and tapped holes were completely filed up within 15 months. Diameter growth by number of tapped hole were 0.54 mm for control trees, 0.60 mm for trees taped of one hole, 0.64 mm for trees taped of three holes, 0.33 mm for tapped of five holes and 0.31 mm for trees taped of ten holes, respectively. Closing processes of tapping holes by fusion materials was fast in the order of DB ointment, stirofoam, control and bamboo vinegar. Especially, tapped holes in the case of DB ointment was completely healed within 4 months. Therefore, DB ointment should be used to minimize damage on tree growth and secure resources for sap collection of A. mono.

Switch box is metal box and used for electric wire pipe in building. In manufacturing switch box, we need 5∼6 press machines, 5∼6 dies, 1 tapping machine. and 7∼8 operators. What matters is rise of manufacturing cost and operators' reluctance of working. To solve this problem, we modified the pre-existing die and developed handling mechanism, which leads to improve the manufacturing process. After the research and development, we could reduce the number of machines and workers needed in the process; 2 press machines, 2 dies, 1 tapping machine, and 1 operator. That means we can save labor and the number of operators needed, reduce manufacturing cost, and get the effect of import replacement.

Currently, an EDM tapping procedure has comprised some parts of the engraving discharge process for the press die. Usually, tapping has been used in cases where we are unable to mechanically machine using steelwork processes due to an increase in the hardness of a material after heat treatment in relation to a design change or missing process. Here, we analyze the influence of discharge tap shape on discharge time, discharge current, and the number of repetition conditions when a cold-work tool steel (STD11) has been treated with a discharge tapped by a screw-shaped cu electrode. The most important influence on processing condition has been determined to be the number of discharge repetitions. As this number increases, the angle reduction of a thread closes to an angle of the electrode via a power generation reduction. The optimal combination of conditions has been determined to be three discharge repetitions, $180{\mu}s$ of discharge time (same as existing regulations), and 25.4A of peak current. A 0.2749db advantage has emerged after comparing between this combination of optimal conditions and the SN rate of existing regulations.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of 38-hour sleep deprivation on fine motor performance. The Motor Performance Series (MPS) in the Vienna Test System (computerized neurocognitive function tests) was used in this study. Methods: Twenty four subjects participated in this study. Subjects had no past history of psychiatric disorders and physical illness. Subjects had normal sleep-waking cycle without current sleep disturbances and were all right-handed (Annett's Hand Preference Questionnaire: above +9 points). To minimize the learning effects, familiarization with the Vienna Test System was performed one day before the study. Subjects were to get up at 6:00 in the morning after getting enough sleep according to his or her usual sleep-wake cycle. After awakening, subjects remained awake for 38 hours under continuous surveillance. During two consecutive study days, the subjects tested MPS at 7 AM and 7 PM each day, which means the MPS was done four times in total. During the experiment, anything that could affect the subjects' sleep such as coffee, tea, alcohol, a nap, tiring sports, and all medications were prohibited. Results: In MPS, the fine motor functions of both hands decreased after 38 hours of sleep deprivation. The decrement in motor performance was prominent in the dominant right hand. In the right hand, the total number of tapping was reduced (p<.005), and the number of misses (p<.05) and the length of misses (p<.05) of line tracking, the total length of inserting a short pin (p<.01), the total length of inserting a long pin (p<.05), and the number of misses in aiming (p<.05) increased. Such performance decrement was distinct in the morning sessions. Conclusions: These results suggest that fine motor performance decrement during sleep deprivation is predominant in the right hand, which exerts maximal motor function. The finding of decrement in motor function in tapping during sleep deprivation also suggested that the time required for exhaustion of muscles is shortened during sleep deprivation. More deterioration of motor performance was shown in the morning, which could be explained as circadian rhythm effects.
Purpose To investigate the difference of total activation in visual area, motor area, and cerebellum according to the stimulation paradigm. Materials and Methods Functional MR imaging was performed in 5 healthy volunteers with visual and motor activity using EPI technique. LED and Checker-Board stimulation were performed for visual activity. Thumb motion and Finger tapping were performed for motor and cerebellum activity. Time course data was obtained by calculating the total activation which was defined as the number of activated pixels x averaged pixel intensity. Results In the case of visual activity with LED stimulation, we found increased total activity of more than 100% compared with Checker-Board stimulation. In the case of motor area and cerebellum with Finger tapping stimulation, we found increased total activity of more than 100% and 150%, respectively compared with Thumb motion stimulation.
