출범 3주년을 맞은 IPTV의 가입자 규모가 2009년 8월 현재 170만 가구를 넘어서면서, 가입자들의 VOD 수용 방식에도 변화가 예상되고 있다. 즉, 기존 미디어의 소극적 수용 방식과 달리 VOD 서비스는 능동적 선택에 의한 비선형적 시청이 가능하기 때문이다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 VOD 서비스를 실제로 이용하고 있는 경험자들을 대상으로 서비스 이용 태도를 보다 구체적으로 살펴보고자 한다. 분석 결과, 조사 대상자들은 IP-VOD 서비스로 지상파 방송 프로그램을 가장 많이 보고 있었으며, 무엇보다 버라이어티 프로그램을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 응답자의 절반 이상이 주 2-3회 정도 VOD 서비스를 이용하며, 1회 시청 양은 2-3시간에 이른다고 응답했다. 한편, 주말에는 최대 8시간 이상을 연속해서 이용하는 사례도 나타나, 일부 이용자들의 VOD 중독현상이 우려되고 있다.

The Korean mobile service market has persistently grown with the number of subscribers and volume of mobile traffic. It shows the slow diffusion of 5G subscribers, and rapid growth of both the MVNO(Mobile Virtual Network Operator) market and unlocked mobile phones. Therefore, this study derives the direction of telcos' strategies and policy implications by empirically analyzing the usage and attitude of LTE and 5G subscribers. Our major findings are as follows: First, our current mobile service subscription market constitutes most long-term customers for their incumbent carriers only by device change from lock-in with bundle services. Mobile tariffs, data speed, and benefits of bundle services are important factors affecting choices and customers' satisfaction with a provider and intentions of churning to another. Second, demand and satisfaction for using 5G are less because speeds and service tariffs act as pain points for 5G services. Third, the users' high preferences for MVNOs and unlocked mobile phones are linked to their subscription to MVNOs' low-cost plans with unlocked mobile phones on online channels. These streams lead to a big change in the market competition that MNO(Mobile Network Operator)s' market shares are expected to decrease and MVNOs' shares will be increased by two times, in the near future. Therefore, MNOs need to change their distribution strategies from offline to online channels and try to resolve the stereotype, "mobile tariffs are expensive," by enhancing their service values. Finally, as consumers prefer one-stop service in the same channel regardless of the distribution channel, policies should focus on the consumers' needs for convenience rather than on the channel separation for perfectly unlocked mobile phones.

본 연구에서는 1998년 하반기 이후 Iridium 서비스를 시작으로 본격 전개되기 시작한 범세계위성이동통신(GMPCS) 서비스에 대한 국내가입자 수를 이상적인 확산모형과 상황적 변동을 반영하여 예측하고 있다. GMPCS 서비스의 이상적 확산은 GMPCS가 전 세계적인 통화권을 가지는 이상적인 이동통신서비스로 자리 매김 할 경우를 가정한 것으로 이동통신서비스의 확산을 근거로 추정되었고, 상황적 변동은 GMPCS 서비스 확산에 영향을 줄 수 있는 시장, 기술, 정책적 측면들이 지니는 불확실성을 낙관적인 상황과 비관적인 상황으로 구분하여 반영되었다. 본 연구에 의하면, GMPCS 서비스의 국내 수요는 낙관적 상황과 비관적 상황의 경우 각각 1998년 약 7,000여 가입자와 4,000여 가입자에서 출발하여 2005년 600,000여 가입자와 100,000여 가입자에 다다를 것으로 전망되었다.

In this paper, the affecting factors of the access demand for the cellular service are derived, and the access demand function of the cellular service is estimated. The results obtained in this study are as follows: First, the price (access charge) and the income elasticities of cellular services there exists a network externality in cellular communication services. Third, the technological capability of the service provider has played an essential role in expanding the size of subscribers. Fourth, the access demand of cellular communication service is not sensitive to the usage charge. According to the above results, it can be inferred that if the access charge is lowered, the number if subscribers will increase to the critical mass, and then the cellular communication market will grow up to a saturation point naturally.

A passive Optical Network (PON) is famous for the most cost-efficient solution among the optical networks. This is because there is no active device between a central office and subscribers. A wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) offers each subscriber to feel unlimited bandwidth. A WDM-PON, however, has a cost problem that WDM-PON is used commercially. To solve this trouble, it is surveyed that a Sub-Carrier Multiplexing (SCM) used in a WDM-PON increases the number of subscribers. The performance of WDM/SCM-PON varies with various noises. The several FEC Codes can reduce the effects of noise and improve the performance of the system. Thus, Choosing a suitable FEC code is important work. This paper describes that a Reed-Solomon (RS) code is the most suitable code for WDM/SCM-PON at the object of 100 Mbps and $10^{-9}$ BER

The main idea behind the Intelligent Networks(IN) concept is the separation of switching functionality from the service control, in order to meet various service requirements of subscribers and development of new services in time. In (N+1) type Intelligent Network with FEP-BEP framwork, each SCP-BEP system maintains its own subscibers' database respectively. In this case, DB updating operations at each SCP-BEP should be peformed concurrently such that DB updating method could affect the overall system performance. Moreover, it is not easy to predict the current system capacity to satisfy the future IN subscribers' service needs. In this paper, we discuss how much DB updating method affects the performance trends of (N+1) type Intelligent Network with FEP-BEP system by means of the simulation technique as the number of calls increase. The average turnaround time is used as a system performance measure.

건강과 의료비 부담에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 실손형 민간의료보험 가입자가 증가하고 있다. 민간의료 보험과 의료 이용의 관련성 분석에서 중요한 과제인 내생성 통제에 관해 도구변수 추정법이 제안되고 있지만 적절한 도구변수 발굴의 한계로 많이 활용되지 못하고 있다. 본 연구는 실손형 민간의료보험이 가입자의 외래 및 입원 의료 이용량에 미치는 영향을 새로운 도구변수를 활용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구는 한국의료패널 2014년 조사 자료를 이용하였으며, 분석 대상자는 11,436명이다. 실손형 민간의료보험 가입 변수의 내생성을 통제하기 위하여 도구변수(개인연금 가입 여부, 동거 가구원 수)를 활용하여 회귀분석을 수행하였다. 실손형 민간의료보험 가입은 외래방문 횟수와 입원 횟수를 유의하게 증가시키는 것으로 분석되었으며, 개인연금과 동거 가구원 수는 내생성을 통제하기 위한 도구변수로서 적합한 것으로 검증되었다. 제한된 의료자원의 효율적 사용을 위해 실손형 민간의료보험이 의료 이용에 미치는 영향 및 효과에 대한 지속적인 모니터링과 평가가 필요하다.

In Public Switched Telephone Networks(PSTN) number portability is implemented by utilizing Intelligent Network(IN) functions for number mapping. And voice over IP(VoIP) and IP Multimedia Subsystem(IMS) networks can deploy number portability by using E.164 Number Mapping(ENUM). This paper discuss the possibility of using E.164 Number Mapping(ENUM) for number portability in voice over IP/IP Multimedia Subsystem and Public Switched Telephone Networks, eliminating the need for Number Portability Database(NPDB) for number portability routing data in Public Switched Telephone Networks.

We analyzed the effect of 6-month lagged number portability policy and introduction of common number among carriers on Korean mobile market. Our result shows that the policy change contributed to both the increase in number of mobile subscribers and decrease in dominant carrier's market share. We found that unified prefix among mobile operators is more effective than the lagged number portability policy. The carriers' profit, however, decreased a lot due to excessive marketing expenditure. We also estimated market shares of carriers up to year 2005 when full number portability policy is adopted. The results show that dominant carrier's monopolistic power will be recovered by the end of 2005 implying government's number policy itself cannot guarantee the effective competition in Korean mobile market.

본 연구는 인터넷과 유튜브채널의 급격한 성장으로 인해 국내기업들의 마케팅전략의 방식이 다양성에 따라 국내기업들의 유튜브채널 분석을 실시하였다. 유튜브 채널의 분석은 유튜브랭킹 사이트의 "회사/오피셜" 상위100위 국내 기업 유튜브채널의 구독자 수, 재생 수, 동영상 수, 국내기업의 분류를 분석하였다. 분석결과 가장 많은 구독자를 보유한 기업은 453만명으로 Samsung(samsung mobile)이며, 가장 많은 재생 수는 5억 4,469만 회로 Samsung(samsung mobile), 가장 많은 동영상을 보유한 채널은 11,416개의 League of Legends-Korea로 나타났다. 가장 많은 제품의 분류는 식품/외식기업이 유튜브 활동을 많이 하는 것으로 나타났다. 기업의 새로운 마케팅전략의 관점으로 유튜브 채널을 분석으로 기업에서 급성장 하고 있는 유튜브의 활용은 통합마케팅커뮤니케이션의 새로운 도구이다. 기업의 마케팅전략이 쌍방향적인 소통이 가능한 유튜브채널이 향후 유튜브 콘텐츠 제작 시 기초자료로 사용될 것으로 기대한다.
