Design of the Digital Neuron Processor and Development of the Algorithm for the Real Time Object Recognition in the Making Automatic System (생산자동화 시스템에서 실시간 물체인식을 위한 디지털 뉴런프로세서의 설계 및 알고리즘 개발)

  • We proposes that Design of the Digital Neuron Processor and Development of the Algorithm for the real time object recognition in the making Automatic system which uses the residue number system making the high speed operation possible without carry propagation, in this paper. Consisting of MAC(Multiplication and Accumulation) operator unit using Residue number system and sigmoid function operator unit using Mixed Residue Conversion is designed. The Designed circuits are descripted by C language and VHDL and synthesized by Compass tools. Finally, the designed processor is fabricated in 0.8${\mu}m$ CMOS process. Result of simulations shows that critical path delay time is about 19nsec and operation speed is 0.6nsec and the size can be reduced to 1/2 times co pared to the neural networks implemented by the real number operation unit. The proposed design the digital neuron processor can be implemented of the object recognition in the making Automatic system with desired real time processing.

  • Integrated operation schools were introduced to Korea in 1998 with an operation of eight schools, and their number has now increased to 106 and is still growing. Although various problems have been pointed out in research on integrated operation schools over the past two decades, these have not been reflected today. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to comprehensively summarize the concepts, backgrounds, recent status, types, etc. of the integrated operation school and to present its problems in terms of curriculum, teacher management, student management, operation and management of educational facilities, and law and policy through literature review and to propose measures for improvement. This allowed us to compare the concerns of the integrated operation school with the results of the actual research and organize improvement measures.

  • The number of the PV systems installed in south korea has been gradually increasing. Interest of operation & management of PV System is rising up as PV System installation trends to increase. The vital function of operation & management is the monitoring system. Most monitoring systems are only available for equipment of suppliers and manufacturers. In this study, a monitoring system was implemented to support multi-domain equipment (inverter, junction box, water distribution board, environmental sensors) that are not limited to specific manufacturers. Monitoring system includes a visualization function, which makes it easy for users to check the power generation and the operation status of the equipment of PV System. In the future, this monitoring system will be utilized as an operation & maintenance foundation element in the PV system industry.

A Study on Prediction of Suspension Time of Unmanned Light Rail according to Safety Personal Deployment (안전요원 배치 여부에 따른 무인운전 경전철의 운행중단 시간예측 연구)

  • The number of unmanned light rail train operators is continuously increasing in Korea. In a failure event during an operation due to the nature of the unmanned operation, recovery is performed based on the remote control. However, if remote recovery is not feasible, safety personnel arrive at the train to resume the train operation. There are regulations on safety personnel and the suspension time of the train operation. However, there is currently no rule for safety personnel deployment. Currently, railway operating organizations operate in three scenarios: safety personnel on board trains, stationed at stations, and deployed at major stations. Four major factors influence the downtime for each emergency response scenario. However, these four influencing factors vary too much to predict results with simple calculations. In this study, four influencing factors were considered as random variables with high uncertainty. In addition, the Monte Carlo method was applied to each scenario for the safety personnel deployment to predict train service downtime. This study found a 17% difference in train service suspension by safety personnel deployment scenario. The results of this study can be used in setting service goals, such as standards for future safety personnel placement and frequency of service interruptions.

Effects of Grouts and Temperature Change on Microorganisms in Geothermal Heat Pump (지열시스템의 그라우트 및 수온변화가 미생물에 미치는 영향 실험)

  • Objective of this study was to examine the effects of grouts and temperature change on microorganisms in geothermal heat pump. Groundwater samples were obtained from wells in the heat pump system during installation (Oriental medicine hospital) and in the heat pump system under operation (Business incubation center). Grouts are the volclay sodium bentonite. Real-time PCR was used to evaluate total bacterial number and 16S rDNA. The results showed that total bacterial number of groundwater in the heat pump operation was greater than that of non-operation case, which indicates a temperature effect on the bacterial culture. In addition, high concentration of grout showed an elevated bacteria number. In the mean time, a long-term field monitoring is essentially required to confirm the effects of the grouts and the temperature changes.

  • This paper concerns the development of NC programming system TIG (Turning with Interactive Graphics) with interactive graphics for turning operation. The system cosists of the processor, the post-processor and the system-user interface. Different from previous segment contour based NC graphic programming systems, the frliability and efficiencyof programming is realized by using Boolean operation with block unit based ICONs for the geometry definition. The tool motion can be also displayed on the screen together with the part contour. The system calculate automatically the number of passes based on the user specified cutting conditions.

It was a operation specific erroneous judgment that occurred because there was no one accurately grasp the battlefield of the situation the wrong UN Forces Command. Tactical victory can be to maximize the operation outcomes. However, there is no possible failure of the operation is to expand the tactical success. This is because the failure of the operation, because directly linked to the success or failure of the war. Tactical victory can be to maximize the operation outcomes. However, operation specific failure is not it possible to expand the tactical victory. Therefore tactical success of the US 1st Marine Division, can not compensate for operation specific failure of the United Nations Forces Command. However, Chinese Communist Army 9th Corps is obsessed only victory of tactics to annihilate the US 1st Marine Division, by being fixation to the Chosin whole area, it was not possible to run a operational operation. Therefore tactical success df the US 1st Marine Division, Chinese Communist Army 9th Corps is to extinguish the ability to increase the number of the 13th Corps of the Western Front, 8th Army US have contributed to have escaped the crisis. In addition, the US 10th Corps while maintaining the combat force, by an important role to withdraw through the sea, was able to complement the misjudgment of the operation.

  • Recently, Since buildings are bigger and higher, the damage of human life can be increased by fire flame and smoke in fire. Smoke control system is necessary to decrease this damage. Therefore, Air supply pressurization smoke control system is applied to vestibule of escape stairway. NFSC requires pressure differential of above 40 Pa, but pressure differential is excessively overpressure in the field. It is known that the cause of this over pressure differential is much leakage of damper. Over pressure differential can bad effect to escaper by pressurizing the door. Analyze the real leakage of damper by increasing the number of dampers operation for identifying this problems. The result of testing, the leakage has difference between new dampers and increased the number of operation dampers. As the static preassure increase, the leakage difference increase. Comparison with preceding study, this result has similar linear tendency.

  • Flash memory becomes popular storage for small devices due to its efficiency, portability, low power consumption and large capacity. Unlike on hard disks, however, write operation on flash memory is much more expensive than read operation, so that it is critical for performance enhancement to reduce the number of executions of write operation. This paper proposes static analysis to rewrite a program to reduce the total number of write operations by merging writable data in a minimum number of pages. To achieve this, we collect information about writable areas by static analysis, and about frequently executed paths by profiling for practicality, and combine both to rewrite the application program to reallocate data. The performance enhancement gained from the proposed methods is shown using a FAST simulator.

Factors Affecting the Operating Performance of General Hospitals (종합병원 수익성에 미치는 영향요인 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze related factors affecting profitability on general hospitals(300-499 beds). The data were derived from survey by the Korean Hospital Association on 33 hospitals during 10 years (from 1993 to 2002). Profitability was measured by 3 ratios - net profit to total assets, normal profit to total assets and operating margin to gross revenue - as dependent variables. Independent variables were classified by general factors (ownership, number of bed, period of establishment, region), financial factors (total asset turnover, current ratio, liabilities to total assets, personnel costs per operation profit, material costs per operation profits), productivity index(number of daily patient per nurse), the score of quality assurance activity and the time lag score. Multiple regression model was used in this study. First, Number of bed, region was not statistically significant for profitability. But ownership was affect positively to normal profit to total assets and operating margin to gross revenue. Private hospitals had higher profitability than that of public hospitals Second, the score of quality assurance activity was not statistically significant to profitability. Third, Those hospitals having more daily patient per nurse had significantly higher profitability than the others. Fourth, Those hospitals having higher proportion in total asset turnover had significantly higher profitability than other hospitals. But liabilities to total assets and liquidity ratio had no difference to the profitability. Those hospitals having higher proportion in personnel costs and material costs per operation profits had significantly lower hospital profitability than others.
